So the time has come to replace our trusty pool pump, it has been operational for the last 15 years (possibly more but that is when we moved in and the pump has been used 4 months a year every year)
Currently, we have a Hayward Max-Flo 3/4 HP 120V pump (I'm pretty sure this pump isn't sold anymore as the Max-Flo line I can find online doesn't match what we have), everything is using 1/2" fittings so I would like to keep the sizing the same when swapping in a new pump.
Here are the current pump specs: MN: sp1605-z-1-mx, RPM: 3450, SF: 1.00, Amperage: 11, HP: 3/4
The pool is 20k gallons, chlorine using a sand filter.
The pump is currently switching on for about 20-30 seconds then turning off and then repeating so I figure the windings have gone bad inside of the motor, at first I thought it was shutting off on thermal overload but after attempting to run it at night while it was much cooler out I had the same problem.
I found this motor online as a replacement but I'm unsure if it will fit and if I can get a seal kit for the pump due to its old age, so I am unsure if replacing the motor is an option. I will attach a photo of the pump and filter label. If replacement isn't an option I'm looking for recommendations for a new pump for around 500-1000 dollars. Thank you in advance!

Obviously I know everyone’s mileage varies and all that…but I’ve recently begun to suspect that my T is aromatizing despite my high SHBG (which my doctor thought had been suppressing my free T and thus making my levels substantially lower than they actually are). At this point I will not survive another period. Birth control is off the table because it makes me psychotic, all of it. A hysto is a certainty but I’m thousands of dollars in debt so it has to wait.
So I’m gonna ask about E blockers or I guess an AI (aromatase inhibitor) because I can’t do this anymore. None of what’s been happening to my labs or my body over the past six months or so makes any sense anyway. So at this point I think I need to just deal with what’s in front of me and put a stop to it indefinitely until I can make it permanent.
I’ll admit I’m not super thrilled about going on a mystery medication and potentially adding to the confusion, but I’m desperate. This cannot wait.
Has anyone had experience with this, specifically being on a blocker of some sort in conjunction with staying on T? I’ve been on T for almost 7 years. Things seemed more or less okay until I was made to lower my dose drastically at the end of 2021, which started one issue after another that I have yet to recover from. Until a couple of months ago I was on 3 pumps of Androgel and it seemed like it was a good dose for me, at least I wasn’t bleeding monthly for the most part. I mean, I realized in hindsight that what I thought was atrophy related, was actually spotting that aligns with my cycle-first week of the month. It wasn’t every month though…and it was nowhere near as debilitating as a full-fledged week or so of PMDD and then Uncle “Fuckhead” Floyd.
I cannot even begin to explain how drastically this has affected me. It is truly a threat to my mental and physical health. I feel sick even talking about it. I need a solution that will have a hope and a prayer of working before next month because otherwise, I don’t really know what’s gonna happen to me. It’s like I go into this other mental state that’s beyond any dysphoria I’ve ever felt. It’s terrifying.
Any ideas? I have gone back to 3 pumps of Androgel after two months or so of trying a higher dose and using compounded cream instead. So now my dose is lower, since raising it causes all hell to break loose.

I just had 2 dead lobbies in a shuffle back to back. Waited 38 minutes for the first with 5+ queue pops that went 5/6, finally get into the game, and it ends immediately due to not enough players. Because I love to punish myself and make myself miserable playing this god forsaken game, I decide to queue again in hopes I get priority or something. I wait 29 minutes to get another dead lobby with not enough people joining.
Now this is where I'm gunna rage and call all you developers complete fucking idiots who don't deserve any of our god damn money for how you've let this continue. HOW CAN YOU ALLOW THIS?! I just spent over an hour of my time not playing your game. I literally just sat and watched youtube waiting for this stupid queue to pop and got nothing of value for it. Why are we paying you? Hey, I (23F) don't know if I need any advice or something, I just don't have any friends to talk about it and it's currently past 3 AM in my city. It may be a long post and filled with grammar mistakes, sorry for that. I just need to write this somewhere so I won't faint (I have a condition, emotional stress makes me faint) So, I just threw up because of sadness. He got mad and said no. After begging for months, he only told me what her major was, their break-up date and where she lived. And he said 'never ask me questions I hate when people ask about their bf/gf's exes'. Tonight, I found his twitter by accident and read his old tweets because I was bored and he never gives me information about his past life. (AGAIN, he had a happy childhood and all his friends are his childhood friends.) It made me mad that he makes me tell every little thing about my life before him but doesn't let me when I want him to do the same. So I read all of them, found the romantic tweets and saw someone liked it. He has only 26 followers and this person wasn't even following him or vice versa. I went to her profile and EVERYTHING matched. She posted a breakup post on the same date and it kinda confirmed everything. And the romantic tweet from his profile is from a love song. Which he has a playlist on spotify with the songs title, created the day they broke up. It's filled with romantic-missing-ex-songs. The playlist's name is 'Incomplete without you'. I'm just so sad because he told me he deleted every playlist that he made for her but this is pinned to his profile, which makes me feel bad. I've told him that this playlist makes me feel sad because it reminds me of her, but he said it's just a playlist based on a feeling. I want to talk to him about all of this but he gets so mad and this is his midterm week, I don't want to distract him but I feel terrible. We love each other and I have no doubt about that, but moments like this make me feel unsafe. Is it not normal to ask questions? I don't know the 'relationship rules'. I (35M) have an awesome six-year-old stepdaughter. The issue is that I am very burnt out by being her exclusive caretaker, so this post has more to do with my wife (32). I have been in my stepdaughter’s life since she was one, and she doesn’t have a relationship with her biological father, so for all intents and purposes I am her dad.
We moved someone far away from our families around three years ago because I got a great job offer. My wife is a nurse, and so is able to find employment almost anywhere she wants. She ran into personality clashes with people on the day shift, so has been doing night shifts here exclusively for over two years, and sometimes picking up overtime extensively. I would note that it’s not required for her to work that much, and I pay for around 90% of everything. She has been totally nocturnal, even on her days off, which leads to me being the only person engaging with my stepdaughter. There are occasions where she spends time with her daughter, but it isn’t for long periods of time very often. I guess the issue is that I feel like single parent to some extent. Every day I get her ready in the morning, take her to school, pick her up later, feed her, play with her, and put her to bed. Every day off I have is centered around my stepdaughter and doing things with her. I’m the one who figures out her requirements for school, appointments, etc. Over time, it has become very tiring on top of my career and I’m finding myself really struggling with it, which isn’t fair to her.
My wife doesn’t seem to understand what the problem is, and doesn’t express very much gratitude towards me for my efforts. When I explain how I feel like a single parent, she’ll retort that I’m benefiting from her working. I’ll say that I don’t really see the benefit because I’m paying for most things, and then she’ll snap and say she’ll have to work more then to help pay for things. She’ll then blame me for “making her become a nurse”, since she was in nursing school when I first met her, and I didn’t stop her I guess. It’s really not about the money for me, it’s just a desire for a balanced family.
I’m just really not sure of the best way to get my needs met, and I don’t know if I’m maybe being unreasonable and just need to suck it up. I am a huge Lord of the Rings fan; I re-read the books typically once a year. I also adore the movies, and find all of Tolkien's legendarium absolutely awesome. Truly one of my favorite hobbies so I'd like to offer some critiques and excitement of flavor gems from Tales of Middle Earth. I won't do every card, but I'll comment on some individual cards and how WOTC did on it. I will comment on the cards abilities but only insofar as it impacts the flavor; i.e. what the card is doing not power level, etc.
To be clear: I understand there are sacrifices you need to make for the greater game, and sometimes those come first. For these articles: I am looking at each card in a vacuum, so if I seem harsh it's because I am using a single lens.

That being said: I like what they did here overall. While Shadowfax isn't technically a horse lord, the description works well enough. So Shadowfax helping other horses is good. I do like their ability of letting Shadowfax sneak a creature from your hand to attack, which captures the flavor well even if its not what I would do (it's a bit more useful frankly and less general).
Overall a win!

I have an Epiphone Embassy that I would like to take on as my first modding project. While there are plenty of mod suggestions for replacing common hardware like that found on a p-bass, the Embassy is a bit of niche platform.
I would really like to replace the 2-piece "tune-o-matic" bridge. Are there any aftermarket bridges that can replace this thing? Unlike Epiphone's standard 3-point bridge, the "tune-o-matic" has two postholes set wider apart and a separate claw tail piece that the strings pass through behind it. I'd really like to find a more secure and adjustable bridge to replace it.
Also, a general electronics question: The Embassy has volume, blend, and tone knobs. Is it possible to replace the blend knob with a switch to alternate/mix pick-ups? Is that what wiring a switch in series and parallel means? (No experience with this)

Hey everyone, I’m looking for a book that I read while on vacation in the early 2000s at a beach house. It definitely qualifies as a historical romance novel. I want to say it might be like a Highlander but that’s not necessarily the case. From what I remember it starts and there is this Crystal Cove where are the young FMC goes to swim and there’s dolphins. The young MMC is of a lower class than her (maybe a farm hand) and even though they are young there are sparks between them. He somehow gets thrown in jail and works on a ship as a slave, but she believes he is dead, and as she gets older, she’s forced to marry, but before she can marry, he frees himself comes back to seek his revenge on those who imprisoned him and be reunited with her. At first she doesn’t recognize him, and he ravages her. I definitely remember that he loses his finger while imprisoned and he’s self-conscious about that, but she makes him feel confident about it during a sexy scene. She gets kidnapped and then he comes to save her again.
Not super helpful but I definitely remember that I have a bright yellow cover and then there is one of those Fábio-esk pictures behind it. Any ideas or recommendations like this would be amazing. Thanks.

I recently met up with my friend in person for the first time. It was a long drive for me, around 6 hours, but I prepared for it. Before I made the trip, I asked her what the plans were on what we were doing. She wanted to go out. I said okay sounds great.
Then I find out, just from her talking casually about it, she wants to go out 1.5 away to a very large city. I say okay, but how are we getting there.
She says that she will drive and she will be the DD and will "sober up" by closing. I tell her that the only way I'm comfortable is if we stay in her town, which is also quite large, to drink or we get a hotel in the city. I explain to her that I will be too tired to be driving around a large city.
She asks me again and says that she will be alright because of her bad experiences blah blah she won't drink that much so she can drive blah blah. She then agrees to look into hotels.
I drive to her house and she tells me that she didn't look into hotels and is just going to drive us because she respects how far I drove that day and that she only plans on having a few. We get in her car to go, she informs me she's NEVER BEEN THERE BEFORE and is nervous. And I ask, do you know where we are parking? And she goes, oh I didn't think of that, guess we will wing it!
Then, she's driving erratically, texting, while we are on the way - explaining to me that she took special driving classes and knows how to handle the road. Meanwhile, going off the road and speeding.
At this point, I'm incredibly frustrated. We get to the bar / club and it's a good time. I'm making sure to only drink one drink because I don't really trust this girl to be good on her word. What do you know, after two drinks she tells me she's "super drunk and will need a ride"
Wait, excuse me?
So, she starts texting all these guys. Leans over to me and says "So and so is going to pick us up!". I flat out tell her NO. She goes "whatttt? I should call my ex!" and I tell her "I'm really not comfortable going to a strange man's house right now" At this point, I'm internally panicking because I am engaged and cannot be going to someone else's house. I'm also trying to figure out how I will get to her house for my belongings and my car, as well as get somewhere to sleep if she gets picked up.
I go over to the bar and get us both waters. Then, we are chilling and both dancing. I'm extremely bad with conflict, so it was very awkward for me to then ask again what the hell was going on.
She shrugs and says, "The boys said no! But I'll keep asking!" so I say "okay are you ready to go?" and she goes "Not yet!" And I say "I think we better get going".
Now she's disgruntled and we walk out the door and she KICKS her shoes off in front of everyone and says "I'm just toooooo drunk" and is hanging on random people and cat-calling guys. I'm extremely embarrassed at this point.
So I'm like what are we doing? And she's like "well should we look at hotels?" And I'm like "are you joking? It's 1 in the morning and I'm not prepared to pay for a hotel. I could pitch in, however, if you find one". And she is just staring at me and I'm like "I'm extremely exhausted right now, but I'll drive" and she goes "oh, my car has a tail light and head light out" and I go "I'm not driving then, sorry, you can drive". She didn't have more than two drinks the entire night, over the course of 4.5 hours, but I also did not want to risk having myself get pulled over for her car issues. It felt like she purposefully was doing this with the intention of staying at a guy's house the entire time.
TL;DR: I feel like my friend purposefully didn't tell me our plans for the night when I was 6 hours from home so she could meet up with guys, convincing me that she would be good to drive and not bothering with a hotel.

I’ve been lurking here for a while, this is my story for what it’s worth. I have smoked for 31 years and am 48 now. For the first few years my consumption was moderate but didn’t take long before I was getting through an ounce (NZ$400) every 2 to 3 weeks. I smoked to celebrate, I smoked to cheer myself up when I was sad, I smoked for any reason and smoked even for no reason. If I didn’t have work I’d have my first smoke when I woke up and go from there. Then work from home came along and it got even worse.
To everyone in this subreddit I feel your pain, I’ve tried to go cold turkey with the best of intentions so many times and failed..
As of today I have been sober for 1month 23 days, but leading up to this instead of going cold turkey, September last year I gave a close friend my entire stash and he dispensed me approx 0.2 g/day on average. It was incredibly hard for me to adjust to this at first and a hassle to collect but it made me savour what little I did have. I used a diary app, weighed my bud and took a photo every time.
Ironically as my tolerance level went down I started to enjoy my high so much more, to the point where I had to plan my day and get all of my tasks/errands out of the way first and only smoke after all that was done because it hit me so hard. The high I started to get reminded of why I started smoking in the first place 31 years ago!
I thought a lot about keeping my smoking to this low level but decided I needed to give it up completely for the rest of my life, I can’t trust myself not to fall back to my old ways, so I threw away all my smoking paraphernalia and sold the remaining supply to a friend of a friend.
I was having a lot of trouble sleeping so my doctor prescribed me some medication which helped, however I am still experiencing the dreams that are so vivid when i wake up I’m still talking to someone in my dream. Another example is I dreamed that my motorcycle was stolen, and again it seemed so real that I had to go outside and check it was actually still there! I’m not too sure if I had dreams when I was smoking heavily, but if I did I definitely don’t remember them.
Here in New Zealand at the last election in 2020 there was also a referendum regarding legalising marijuana for personal use. The result was 48.8% yes and 51.2% no. As you can see it was pretty close, but at the time I was astonished because I assumed the yes votes would pass by a huge margin. Looking back now I realise it’s because I know a lot of marijuana smokers, and the non smokers I know are relaxed about others smoking. Obviously if you are a smoker you aren’t likely to have many (if any) friends who are seriously against it so it’s easy to get a distorted view of the society you live in.
I’ve got some close friends who respect my decision even though a few of them are smokers themselves. But this has made me realise how it’s possible to be friends (or more like acquaintances) that have absolutely nothing in common other than a shared love of getting high. It’s sorta like “come join our happy family/gang of smokers” where excessive consumption is normalised and encouraged.
I realise this won’t work for everyone but what worked for me was massively reducing my intake first, initially I didn’t have the intention of stopping altogether, that came much later.
I definitely recommend starting a marijuana diary so you get an idea of what your consumption is, even if you have no intention of cutting down or stopping at this stage, if or when you do decide to cut down you will be able to check your progress.
The benefits I’ve noticed so far is a much clearer mind, getting better at remembering things, reduced appetite (since I used to eat too much) and being able to go up to 24hours without a single cough. Not to mention saving $160/week!

I’m a player that brings my baby to the game. Since it’s 4pm to 8pm, I feed her during recap then take care of her as everyone has their chance to decide what to do.
Lately, I have been following everyone’s lead. I have been having trouble be one with my character as of late, and taking care of my baby without it disturbing the table has become difficult. Last week was the hardest so I led the table at 7:30pm and just waited for my hubby in the car.
My hubby told me not to worry about feeling like a failure for not being able to calm her this time, or be upset that I snapped at him. He understood that I was just frustrated, but it was the first time our table had seen me upset like that.
We didn’t hear anything about last week until near the end of yesterday’s session.
My baby was doing better, but I was still very distracted to keep her quiet. Lots of dancing and holding (prior she would just fall asleep after a good feed and rocking.) Though the DM still offered the idea of my hubby and I rotate being at the table and have the baby home.
My hubby and I knew this day would come, but he had hoped it would be when she’s crawling. He didn’t understand why the DM thought it was a problem to have our baby at the table.
I do. We are the only couple at the table, only ones with a baby. Even if the guys at the table are the same age as us, we are not at the same stage of life as them.
I am glad we could bring and play D&D these last 4 months together. My hubby has his own car now. So he doesn’t have to rely on me and baby to bring him to D&D and back.
It sucks for me as I had to quit Tuesday games because it would go on past her bed time, and she was much harder to soothe those nights. Saturday was my only in person game.
I play online with my brother on Sunday, and after my baby is put into her crib. So I am more focused on that game. However my brother and most of his friends are in Cali or Nevada or Arizona. I am in South Carolina. It being the only game is not bad, just the potential of loosing all of my in person games only makes me realize how alone I am out here…

Lately, I have been following everyone’s lead. I have been having trouble be one with my character as of late, and taking care of my baby without it disturbing the table has become difficult. Last week was the hardest so I led the table at 7:30pm and just waited for my hubby in the car.
My hubby told me not to worry about feeling like a failure for not being able to calm her this time, or be upset that I snapped at him. He understood that I was just frustrated, but it was the first time our table had seen me upset like that.
We didn’t hear anything about last week until near the end of yesterday’s session.
My baby was doing better, but I was still very distracted to keep her quiet. Lots of dancing and holding (prior she would just fall asleep after a good feed and rocking.) Though the DM still offered the idea of my hubby and I rotate being at the table and have the baby home.
My hubby and I knew this day would come, but he had hoped it would be when she’s crawling. He didn’t understand why the DM thought it was a problem to have our baby at the table.
I do. We are the only couple at the table, only ones with a baby. Even if the guys at the table are the same age as us, we are not at the same stage of life as them.
I am glad we could bring and play D&D these last 4 months together. My hubby has his own car now. So he doesn’t have to rely on me and baby to bring him to D&D and back.
It sucks for me as I had to quit Tuesday games because it would go on past her bed time, and she was much harder to soothe those nights. Saturday was my only in person game.
I play online with my brother on Sunday, and after my baby is put into her crib. So I am more focused on that game. However my brother and most of his friends are in Cali or Nevada or Arizona. I am in South Carolina. It being the only game is not bad, just the potential of loosing all of my in person games only makes me realize how alone I am out here…

This was my second time taking the exam. 2) TIA Simulator (Note: This is easier than how questions are worded on the exam but it's good practice for mindset)
3) David McLachlan Youtube Channel - 200 Agile Questions/150 PMBOK Questions ( (Note: This is easier than how questions are worded on the exam but it's good practice for mindset)
Additional Study Material second time taking exam:
1) PMP Reddit (Overall best place to get started and prepare for the exam)
2) SH 260 Questions Practice Exam (Best study material for exam in my opinion) - Gives you a good understanding for how questions are worded on the exam and great practice material
3) PMI Study Hall - Overall great material, do not pay too much attention to the Expert questions. Also take at least one mock exam for endurance. The actual exam is 180 questions and after answering the first 120 questions, what helps the most at this point is your mindset.

Hello all, I’d appreciate some advice. I’m in the science field and am changing careers. I received two job offers - one is a government job and the other in sales. Both are somewhat related to my degrees (bs and ms biology).
I got very burnt out in my first job out of school. Both of my offers are remote jobs and I’m hoping will offer better WLB. I’ve been so conflicted over the decision. I made a decision matrix where I scored the two jobs based off my values but they came out to very similar scores.
Here’s a bit about each job: Government job: 1)You have to make “production” or else you’re fired (Not typical gov job where you can cruise through). Must complete a 1 year probationary period. 2)Complete flexibility in work hours (you can do 4/10s, 5/4/9s, for the most part can work whenever you want as long as you get in your 40hrs/week) 3)student loan forgiveness (I have a good amount) 4)small pension
Sales: 1)team seems great and supportive, however I’ve heard the company issues unreasonable quotas 2)transferable skills to other jobs (whereas the gov job is very niche and I’d be stuck essentially) 3)similar pay to gov job but higher salary growth potential 4)Typical 8am-5pm job
The two most important attributes I’m comparing here are schedule flexibility and transferable skills. I value both of these, so it’s been hard to pinpoint what I’d be willing to give up.
A bit about me and what I value: 1)personable, pretty good at talking to people 2)single, no kids 3)detail oriented 4)I want to maximize my time outside of work. I really want better WLB because I did not have that in my previous role - and that was detrimental to my overal physical and mental health.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around this anomaly. Why do the queen ants, with egg sacks attached, drop numen runes? I've heard the theory of them eating Numens but the fact that the "pregnant" ants always drop numen runes when you first kill them, makes me think that is highly unlikely. The implications I see are more akin to the ants and numen are somehow related, and I'm not just talking a Mario/Yoshi, faithful steed kind of relationship. I understand that life blooms from the erd tree in this universe. If Numens are from outside the lands between, did they come from the insects? Did the insects use however Numens are born, in their own reproductive cycles? What does the community think? I'm very interested to see where this train of though leads us.
