The problem With alpha and beta builds combined with social media and youtube being a career, games get released with full walk throughs, build guides and breakdowns. Its like picking up a new book knowing who the villain is and who dies before you start reading. Even if you don't want to know, social media and youtube just spam you with the information regardless.
The Idea What if we took an average MMORPG and made the characters develop in a more chaotic manner. Your starting stats could be vaguely swayed by race, gender and starting location but each character (much like real life) would have their own strengths and weaknesses that are developed over time by external factors.
An Example You want to be a warrior, your born a male human in the highlands which gives you +str (gender), Average stats (human), +Stamina (highlands) but you gain a -Dex (gender), No above Average stat (human), - heat resistance (highlands). Your also taller than average (random genetic) that gives you +Constitution but -Stamina.
Depending on where you level (conditioning to climates) and how you level (use of armour weight and weapon type) you can effect the stat development of your character. For example, highlanders might want to get rid of their heat resistance debuff so level in warmer climates.
Finally at max level your overall stats would be entirely different to another player, so your best in slot items would be very different, capping on a stat would be wasteful so wearing different gear to fill gaps in your preferred stats would prevent a BiS scenario.
Further developmental buffs and debuffs could occur during levelling and end-game like gaining favour from a deity having both positive and negative effects to your stats and abilities. Illness or genetic abnormalities could do thinks like stunt growth (being stout could +def but -speed).
Addressing Balance Some will argue that this would result in very unbalanced gameplay, you would be right. However MMORPG were never supposed to be about creating a carbon copy of the best possible character, a clone in a sea of clones, at least I don't think so.
This MMO would have infinite replayablility, "if I did this different, if I headed in that route, if I used this combination of weapons and armour, would it lead to a batter end result?"
What do you think? Would you play a game that ended up with vastly unique characters that were changed by the method in which you played? Do you think I'm just overcomplicating the existing mechanics and it wouldn't lead to anything new because people would still try to min/max?

I'm currently driving a 2018 Suzuki Ignis and was thinking of upgrading to something more comfortable and spacious. I'm in the EU by the way.
I was originally looking at a Suzuki S-Cross, then at a Toyota Yaris Cross and finally found this Citroën C4X that I fell in love with right away. I talked to my family about this idea and they said Citroën is not a reliable brand and I should stick with Toyota instead, or even a Renault. I like the Renault Arkana too, but something feels a bit off about it
I know they had this reputation of being unreliable in the past, but in the last decade it feels like all brands can be quite reliable (Citroën offers up to 6 years extended warranty if you have the cash) as long as you take care of them.
The only peeve I have with it is that there's no hybrid version. It's either an 8-speed automatic petrol or full electric (I'm not interested in the diesel one). The electric version has a relatively low capacity (~400km) and I often have trips of more than 600km at a time, if I keep the AC on or if it's cold I might need to charge it twice and electric infrastructure ain't that great in my country.
I'm looking at the 30000€ range or thereabouts (±3000), but if there's a good hybrid alternative I can go up to 35 or even 40 for a full electric as long as it has really good range (500 or more km). I like this car because of the major comfort upgrade and incredible boot space, and I won't like, I'm a sucker for technology (wireless charging, Apple Carplay, I'm looking at the Hifi system too that has a subwoofer, cruise control etc).
Am I missing anything major in terms of alternatives/reliability here? I really like this form factor and it looks premium for the price range.

Your stance on Michael Block might be the most controversial topic in golf right now. Some people love him, others despise him, he’s a feel good story in some eyes, and an arrogant old head pro in many others. Despite your opinion, he is unanimously a great golfer, just not great enough to hang with the best in the world a second time. This just shows how well conditioned these pros are both physically and mentally, they’re on another level. They’re consistently in headlines, accustomed to the pressures of golf media, but more importantly they are constantly prepping and playing in huge events. Block hasn’t felt that pressure, he hasn’t had to play with the world on his shoulders, he doesn’t have the mental fortitude of a PGA pro. This all equated to him finishing dead last at 15 over par prior to the weekend, and considering the leader after two days was 12 under par, he wasn’t on the same planet as the rest of the field. Despite the missed cut, and several news media outlets attacking his character, he stayed at the course for 3 hours post round to sign items for the kids. Sure he has made some snobby comments, but overall this story has been good for golf. It has brought tons of eyeballs to the sport, and created a narrative for non-golf people to follow. Luckily, Block will be teeing it up at the RBC Canadian Open from Jun 8-11, so this story doesn’t end here, stay tuned.

I don’t know a lot about cars, and I’m having a hard time choosing between a 2024 Kia Seltos EX premium or 2023 Toyota Corolla Cross LE Premium AWD, I’m in Canada FYI as I know there are differences between vehicles in different countries.
I recently had a Seltos as a rental car and I absolutely loved it compared to my sedan. I’m just hesitant with the reliability of a Kia long term.
I haven’t test drove or seen a Corolla Cross yet in person but I like how it looks based on what I’ve seen online, I should be able to test drive this week. I know Toyotas are known for reliability. I am also able to get a discount on a Toyota through family.
I’ve been told the wait time for a Seltos is 2-6 months, and for a Corolla Cross I’ve been told 3-12 months, these are based on what I’ve heard from multiple dealerships. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with my car so I’m not on a rush to replace it thankfully.
I am a person that drives about 30000 km a year, mostly highway driving with my commute to work, and I want to keep this vehicle for a long time. This is why I’m hesitant with getting the Seltos. I guess if I took good care of a Seltos with maintenance as per the schedule and have the full warranty I’d hope the car would stay in good condition long term. (I heard kias require more frequent oil changes?)
I know and have more faith that if Toyotas are taken care of they will last for the long run! The Corolla cross is also slightly better on gas, and I think the trim I’m interested in costs slightly less than the Seltos. Plus I’d get my family discount. There’s also the depreciation of my current vehicle if I have to wait a year for the Corolla cross (I have a 2019 Honda civic ex with 149000 km…)
I like both vehicles, so I guess I’m just questioning the long term reliability of kias….. I didn’t love the Hyundai Kona and financially the Honda HRV is out of the question… any advice or input would be appreciated!

My wife (25f) and I (26m) are faced with two options to weigh and decide. Our answer will shape the rest of our lives. This has been racking our brains for the last week+ because we want to leave our house asap and sell it.
We can either move back home to family in NJ, get jobs and save up to buy an expensive house that still needs work (the market is terrible rn in jersey) or stay here in Texas and move to DFW and have a significantly greater quality of life.
We’re an hour south of Houston right now and we hate it. We have so many bad memories here, from cancer diagnoses, wage theft, lost the people we originally came out here for etc. we live in a beautiful home but we’re house broke because the work opportunities here aren’t fruitful if you’re not a blue collar worker. (We moved to a town where everyone asks why the hell we would move here of all places)
We can go back to NJ but we would be living in my childhood bedroom with our 2 cats, dog, and snake. We don’t even know when we’d be able to afford a place to own anytime soon there. The rent is astronomical as are the median home prices. Atleast 2.2x the avg cost of a home here in Texas (New constructions with marble countertops and slate showers for sub 300k, non existent in nj for under 450-500k).
We are fortunate to not have to pay any property taxes in NJ or TX so that’s not a con in either state for us. We have both been living together away from friends and family for 6 years now. We left because I was active duty stationed in NC and she was already in college, by the time my service was over we came out here for some family that has since cut us off knowing we have absolutely nobody out here.
We want to sell the house we’re currently in because we are miserable and depressed here, due to us not being able to afford to go on trips or the lack of nightlife/activities for non child rearing young adults and the fact that we came here for reasons that I’ve since ceased. Kids aren’t in our future so we’d like to make a positive out of no kids by loving our lives and doing the things people with kids can’t do anymore like taking the random getaways that we wouldn’t be able to afford with kids.
I did the math and if we purchase a home in the DFW area, we would have it paid off in 5-7 years (2yr flex for emergency funding) and that’s barely budgeting at all tbh, we’re just very fortunate to have those means. So we just don’t know if its worth it to give up this massive financial potential and stability of our future here to appease the people that miss us. Their take on it is “you didn’t listen to us when we said don’t go, y’all are miserable, and you’re just not gonna listen to us again and go somewhere else?” Meanwhile not a single person we know our age is able to live on their own in a decent house let alone a place without roommates at all and the people saying this either have to break their back with 2 jobs to afford ends meat or they’re getting tremendous support from family that we wouldn’t have. We love jersey and it’s culture, you won’t find it anywhere else, and we can go visit as much as we want if we live out here, but if we live there we’d struggle to even exist and take the time for ourselves. The reason I keep harping on trips and vacations is because my wife and I didn’t have a lot growing up and since we know kids aren’t happening, we’d like treat ourselves to a nice lifestyle. It’s not about the area for us, we foster animals and stay inside watching anime or playing video games most days. It’s really more or less will be able to use our money how we want to instead of dumping most of it into the interest of a home that we may feel regret over buying knowing what we could have else where.
It just feels like we’re bad people if we say we want to have a better quality home and more financial freedom for a ourselves since we’re not having kids. We don’t want to spend 30 years and all of our money to pay off a house and it’s interest when we can do it here in a fraction of the time while still saving money for other things like trips and date nights. Especially when we’re so young and fortunate enough to have this be our difficult decision. We also feel like we didn’t really give Texas a chance due to the year of us being here being so hectic and challenging and dealing with cancer and surgery and a bad ISD that committed wage theft. We’ve been told that we moved to the armpit of the armpit of Texas (Brazoria county Freeport area) and we think it’s be a night and day difference to DFW. We have a family friend in DFW who swears by it and can set my wife up with a teaching position at a local charter school. Oh we’d also have to make the 26hour+ drive to jersey with two cats a dog and a snake. The logistics involved with that alone scare us, godforbid one our cats got out of the car somewhere in the middle of the trip.
So essentially we don’t know what the “right” decision is and are afraid everyone back home will hate us for not coming back after venting to them about how much difficulties we’ve been faced with since coming here even though it really had nothing to do with Texas itself, we just got a lot of bad news since being here that made us really depressed. My wife’s Grandparents cut her off when they heard we moved to Texas because they couldn’t use our Nc house as a stopping point for their trips to florida and they took it as her running away from them even though we lived in a completely different state. she’s afraid she’ll be cut off again if she tells her we’re moving again in Texas and not closer to “home”. This really hurt my wife because she doesn’t have a relationship with her father and her mother passed away so her grandparents are all she has on her side.
TLDR: A couple is deciding whether to move back to their home state of NJ and live with family while struggling to afford a home, or stay in Texas but move to the DFW area for better job opportunities, quality of life, and financial stability. They have had a challenging time in Texas with bad memories and limited opportunities, but feel like they didn't give it a fair chance. They are hesitant to give up their financial potential for the sake of appeasing family, and aren't planning on having kids. They also worry about the logistics and stress of moving their pets such a long distance. If they choose Texas, how can they explain it to their family without sounding insensitive or selfish. They’re terrified of making the wrong decision since they’re so drastically different and have a lot of holdback when it comes to moving to jersey regarding finances and not being established in a career yet.

Good afternoon PFC, currently in a bit of a finance pickle. To begin I'm a 20-year-old male living in the GTA on my own, however, I am returning to college in September and won't be able to work my current high-paying job.
I have no debt other than my car which is currently at 28285.03$ of principal remaining and its 5% interest for the next 6 years (I know a lot however I needed a car within one week last May for work my only option was new unless I wanted to overpay heavy on used).
My current COL is 647.58 (student housing), around 350 a month on groceries, roughly 130 a month on gym and supplements (not up for debate to change), gas is covered by my work mileage, a mind-numbing 420.19 on car payments, and an astronomical 548.16 a month on insurance. Coming to a grand total of 2095.93 a month to live here. No, I do not have any other hobbies than the gym and hiking and no alcohol or partying.
As far as current funds go I have 1855.90 in a chequing account and 5090.55 in a Wealthsimple TSFA invested in cash.to since I don't know where I should put the money. Take-home pay after taxes is rough 687.50 weekly at 37.5 hours a week some weeks I can get over 50 hours just depends on how busy we are and I get 242.50 a week in mileage (I only use about 60$ of it on gas and the GO train). For a grand total of 3720 a month. This means 1624.07 can go into savings or any extras I want.
I know I am not strapped for cash or in too terrible of a position but I can foresee the rough time I will have once I'm having to pay big boy rent and when I return to school and will have to work for minimum wage with fewer hours, so I have a few options.

1. Keep my exact same situation as is and return to school with around 13k in the bank and take OSAP which for me is around 8k and just ride out the year.
2. Keep living in the GTA but opt for a cheaper car, my sale value is around 25k for my car which means I will need to pay the 3 thousandish difference. However, my parent's neighbours are selling their old Civic for around 7.5k which I can insure for 280ish a month. This option will wipe my saving and make me have to borrow a bit from my parents but I will have 720 a month less I will have to spend on a car.
3. Move home to live with my parents and keeping my current car, this will increase my commute time by a bare minimum of 80 minutes a day however I will be saving around 1k a month since no housing cost and no cost of food
4. Moving home to live with my parents and buy the Civic, this would net me around an extra 1700 a month. This would be massive for my savings and is the option I'm most considering.

Pros and Cons time.
Pros of Civic, not having to spend an extra 700 plus a month on a car anymore. Cons of the Civic, I absolutely love my car and all the features inside of it which the Civic just doesn't have.
Pros of moving home, getting to see my parents and saving an extra 1k a month. Cons of moving home, seeing my parents every day and an extra 80 minutes to spend commuting in the car and the train commute stays the same at around 1 hour and 40 a day.
I just need someone to either tell me what is the best course of action because I am unsure right now.
I'm also sure you're wondering why my premium is so high, my insurance address is listed as my parent's house which is in the middle of the country and not the GTA. However, this price is reflecting my G2 driver's license and a tree that fell onto my car while driving which somehow is an at-fault accident since it was only me involved even though I had zero control over it. My premium will drop Monday since I got my G yesterday.
Tldr; Keep spending more money to save 80 minutes a day commuting and driving a nicer car while living alone or move home and buy a cheaper car increasing my commute time but lowering my COL to around 500 a month.

Title say it all; Is there an active group of players on the islands (in particular Big Island, but can travel to other islands for monthly meets or games)?
I used to play a fair bit mainland (weekly shop games, local events, travel for cons) and quit playing a few years ago when I moved to Indonesia. Now that I'm back in the states and have more free time I'm looking to jump back in, especially with the soft reboot of the game for mkiv.

Man oh man I think one of these three characters would/will do so great:

1. Terra - Her entire kit is just insane man. She has a stun, reflects an instance of damage, AND her ult makes her CC immune. I remember when she was released, she was heralded as the Wukong stopper lol. I wonder how they will rework her lore as she was hunting down counted just as Kira was.
   
2. Aurora - I think this is pretty obvious for just the ult ability. I was never good with her but watching pros play her was crazy as her abilities were insane if you knew what you were doing
   
3. Grim.exe - He was so unique that many never understood how to properly play him and I never saw many play him, but man he was good. A slow, a blast similar to Howis knock back, ability shield, and an ult that follows you if you are in eye sight. He would be refreshing.
   

Special consideration: Iggy, because well it’s Iggy, and Wukong (he would have the carries in a fit).

Hello, I am reaching out as a concerned human being with reasoning and advocate for justice. I would like to speak on behalf of a friend and former peer coworker of 3 years about an upcoming convention called "PuchiCon" in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The owner of this convention has filed false Assault claims about our fellow employee and past Board Director of Outreach for the con itself, claiming he sexually abused her. The owner of this convention has included myself and the entire staff to take her side and involved us with false narratives. I don't understand how this is not going viral and not spoken of. He is in fear that if he speaks up about it to news outlets, people would not take his side as he had already found it impossible for fair legal representation in the courts and she has already tried to turn so many people against him including myself. I resigned my upper management role as * Redacted * after being with the convention 4 years. I cannot take this drama and I cannot understand how the staff and community isn't taking sides of an innocent well known and admired man. The owner followed my action of leave by harassing me, threatening to go to authorities and take legal action because I made a public post about my leave.
In short, the owner of puchicon pursued our peer employee with many sexual advances as well as emotional ones claiming she was unhappy and wanted to be with him and have more children with him... She had also disgustingly mentioned her own daughter sexually in nature laughing... "why can't I speak about her like this? others think it's funny". She was denied intercourse from our peer and decided to make false claims and lie under oath out of anger and vindictiveness. she had also been scamming people claiming to be a 501 3c non profit while the whole time operating as an LLC and bragging about the donations and annoyed she could not get grants fast enough so "its better as an llc anyway" once staff was made aware... also falsifying her website and sponsorship materials to claim we were sponsored by Cruncyroll viz media and many others while no such partnerships existed.
He won the court case with proof of her sexual advances towards him as well proving zero assault had been committed, but destroyed him financially by charging back payments made to him fraudulently causing him to lose his bank account and credit card.. yet she managed to convince staff and community that she won and he is a "dangerous" person, defaming his name and companies and isolating him from the cosplay and convention community. She claims her convention to be inclusive to mental health illnesses however exploits the neurodivergent community of free labor and intimidates them out of payment or fair compensation on top of trying to make false claims on our Demisexual, neurodivergent, ADHD, high functioning Autistic peer here who has a lot to lose as he is a respected and know Photographer in the Music industry and former DJ with many celebrity connections in the whole of the entertainment industry. She now has staff signing NDA's to be a part of volunteer staff so no one can speak of the cruelty and truth. As this is all cruel and unfair for him and our staff to witness, I wish for this matter to be investigated and concluded in perhaps an article and or action.

I need some help diagnosing an overheating issue with my 1990 Toyota Pickup 3VZE. Most of the time, my temperature gauge comes up and stays nice and steady at just below half. If I am on the highway and end up driving up a long hill, after a bit of time, my temperature guage will start to creep up. If I turn the heater on full blast, I can usually keep the temps from climbing too high, but once in a while I will have to pull off to cool down.
Not sure if it's related, but this issue started right about the same time my water pump started leaking. I replaced the water pump and thermostat, but that didn't seem to make any difference. I have flushed my entire cooling system and radiator twice, and as far as I can tell there doesn't seem to be any blockages anywhere in the system. I replaced the thermostat again, but still no luck.
Anyone have any suggestions on where to look from here?

Out with a buddy last night, explained I was searching for a reasonably priced bike rack for my car(crossover suv) and we got into the pros and cons of top racks vs rear racks. So my question is: which type of rack do you prefer and why? Also what is your biggest complaint with that style rack?

The comparison charts comparing them say you should deploy Intune certificates via SCEP because PKCS is insecure since the keys are marked as exportable. They also say you should use SCEP if you need to deploy certificates to devices without primary users such as shared devices and kiosks since PKCS will not work in that scenario.
Then I found this thread that says that the private keys are only marked as exportable on the Intune Connector server and are not marked as exportable when they reach the end device. He also says PKCS does actually work on devices without user affinity.

I can see a security benefit of the certificates never being marked as exportable at any point if you use SCEP, but doesn’t the need for more servers for IIS and NDES plus setting up Azure Application Proxy or VPN to expose NDES to remote clients add so much more complexity and additional attack surface as a result? Is that still “more secure” at that point?

Posted on here not too long ago starting up a D100 list for the Shrine of Luck in Phandalin and so I've created the following from various D100 lists, curses, random magic items generators which are all free to use.
It's in it's finished state now! - so wanted to share it so others can use. Ill still welcome any feedback if you've got it. Only a Nat 1 and a Nat 100 are guaranteed to be negative & positive respectively. Everything else is assigned randomly.

12	Spoon	The character finds a wooden spoon in their bag. Every time they retrieve an item they find another wooden spoon. Every time they investigate an area they find another wooden spoon. 13	Kinslayer	The character is consumed with a lurking urge to destroy those nearest and dearest to their heart, especially the members of their own family. Once every 12 hours the player must make a DC 15 WIS check, if they fail they must immediately attack the closest member of the party.	Lasts 24hours, roll once every 12 hours. (3 rolls total during this period - start, 12 hours, and end). Fight lasts until one of the fighting party members is unconscious, then the urge ceases.
14	Cursed	Roll a D6 - you immediately lose 2 points from one of the following base stats. (1) STR, (2) DEX, (3) CON, (4) INT, (5) WIS, (6) CHA	Remove 2 point from the character randomly chosen by dice roll. Permanently.
15	Agile	You feel the power of the gods flow through you - you feel lighter on your feet, you feel like you could backflip and might actually make the landing. Give it a go. Your Dexterity is permanently increased by 1 point.	DEX is increased by 1 point. Permanently

So to preface I have been diagnosed with UCTD (my ANA was 1:1280, physical symptoms/abnormal labs but nothing specific) and a primary immunodeficiency disease (though I’m waiting till august to get a another opinion on that).
Anyways, I recently switched insurance companies and for that reason can not go to my usual rheumatologist but I can still see my immunologist.
My rheumatologist had told me to go to an immunologist because my IG levels were abnormally low and as previously mentioned I was told I was immunocompromised after a few other labs were done.
Now, it’s been a few months of being unable to see my rheumatologist and I started on SCIG, told by my immunologist that I don’t need a rheumatologist because he can handle my UCTD and he took me off of Hydroxychloroquine since he said that the SCIG can take it’s place.
All of that was fine to me, it seemed to make sense but my liver enzymes were previously normal and within three months this is what it’s at: alkaline phosphatase: 142, AST: 65 and ALT:153.
Now I know it’s not horrible and there’s definitely much worse, but once again- three months ago I was normal. And I’ve never in my life had alcohol so it isn’t related to that either, plus my liver enzymes have never been near this high (again I know it’s not that bad, but for me this is not normal)
In case it’s relevant over a year ago, my gastro told me to get a liver biopsy for autoimmune hepatitis because my smooth muscle antibody was 1:20 but my rheumatologist had told me it was unnecessary since it was so low. So I didn’t plus it wasn’t the reason I went to begin with, I went because I have vomiting problems (I’ve gone periods off and on for 10+ years of vomiting cycles- still not better)
Also not sure if it’s relevant but in case it is, I haven’t had my period in 3 1/2 years but for three of those years it could be normal since my birth control can cause that for some, but I was supposed to start my period within like a month after getting off. But it’s been 6 months off without a period (I’m not pregnant)
I’ve also had a mitogen induced lymphocyte proliferation panel and my results were WAY higher than I think they should be in a person with a primary immunodeficiency disease. PHA, CPM was 270,459 CON A, CPM was 213,006 PWM, CPM was 175,986 Which is all well ABOVE average, I’m pretty sure immunocompromised people are below average on that exam? But maybe it’s that high because of the UCTD? I don’t know. I have had two immunologist tell me I had a primary immunodeficiency, but neither of them specialize in them which is why I want the other opinion in August. I wasn’t even told which specific one I have, just that I have one which makes me even less confident
I’m just concerned now, has anyone else had this happen? Im worried it’s the SCIG messing with my liver, I mean it’s only been three months, what will my liver be like in 5 years at this rate? Maybe it’s because I’m not taking Hydroxychloroquine? I’m worried that it is treating the immunodeficiency but just making my UCTD worse. But I have read that people take SCIG for their autoimmune disease? Maybe my liver was just off that day? Do any of you see an immunologist and not a rheumatologist? Can he actually fill both roles for me? I’m confused on what went wrong and doubting the decisions I’ve made in the past now

I'm looking at two different trucks, I haven't test driven either, but plan to do that when lots open back up this week. I need help figuring out which is the better deal.
Option 1: 2014 Toyota Tacoma, 127k miles, $13,500. It's a regulasingle cab with a 4 banger and rwd. It's also yellow, which is.... Unfortunate.
Option 2: 2012 GMC Canyon, 109k miles, $13,000. It's an ext cab, and it's the Off-Road/Z71 package, so 5 cyl with 4x4.
Pros of option 1: it's a tacoma, which is a better made truck. It's damn-near impossible to find a Toyota truck that new, with that mileage, for under $15k where I'm at. It's also not super likely I'd need anything more than a 4 cyl, since i realistically just need a vehicle with a bed that runs. Cons: it's more expensive and more miles than the Canyon with less features. And, again, someone painted the poor bastard yellow...
Pros of option 2: cheaper than the tacoma, less miles, 4x4 is great to have in bad weather, more cab room, it's a normal color. Cons: it's not a toyota, it's a little older, it feels weird to pass on a tacoma at that price.
Both trucks are in great shape from what i can tell and have clean titles. What do you guys think?

Im struggling to find good tactics for old gen. Most youtubers and pros play on new gen hence their tactics arent as op on old gen eg. 4321.
Anyone got any new good tactics that helps them to get 11-15 wins on futchamps? Share below or leave a link i will check it out.
