- Nightlife as a lo person in Melville - worth it or no? i'm type of person that likely won't enjoy just sitting by myself sipping alcohol drink while watching others having fun - therefore, wonder is it worth it or no? I heard that Joburg after sun goes down is a BIG NO and Melville is not the safest place to be especially after dark
- As an individual not looking quite your stereotypical Dutch (tall, Blond haiblue yees) but still being South European type of white - could it be similarly unsafe as for any other European tourist? I like walking and exploring the city (and I'm aware of Hilbrown and Yeoville) but If I were to walk in CBD without screaming "HEY I'm TOURIST WITH BACKPACK LOOKING FREAKING LOST AND FLASHING MY PHONE" do you see otherwise walking in CBD, ROseband, Sandton, Constitutional Hill and those area being unsafe? I liek taking pictures a lot as well.
- I like taking public transport as I love merging with locals, any issues if I take metro or bus in Jburg? I would lkely use uber for places that are hard to reach but would likely like to use metro system - what would your advice be?
- I will be joining the tour after at the Krueger Park for 2 days - wonder if anyone has any recommendation for the best places to look i..e booking in advance or better to do at yoour hotel in the city?
- For Cape Town I plan to do a lot of hiking, Table Mountain, Lion's Head, Noordhiek peak etc. - safe to do these hikes alone pr better join groups? I'm thinking to join group as it would be more fun, but wonder if I want to do by myself is it safe or no?

Since the end of last year, I've been actively following the latest trends in tech, especially those related to software like AI and no-code tools. During my research and learning, I collect the ones that I find interesting and useful in one website, which I have built myself. Why did I build it? I needed the simplest way to list things that I find on the internet so that I can easily refer to them later if needed. Services like Google Sheets and Airtable are not suitable for that purpose. The website is continuously being improved over time, and new tools are added daily. The website receives hundreds of visitors daily, even without heavy marketing. I don't use other social media platforms like Twitter, and I haven't launched on Product Hunt yet. People share it around because of the valuable resources added to the site. Thank you to those who share and mention the site.
The website has a feature that allows users to create an account, enabling them to grow their listings as well. Users can collect almost anything, with or without links, personal collections or affiliate items, and they can include videos and images. For me, it's a useful tool that you can use to grow your business as well.

Issue: Usually when the car is hot it will start jolting and losing power. Won’t drive. Originally it was the crank angle sensor, so we replaced that. It kept walking and losing connection with the crank pickups. Now I seem to still have the same issue but a code for the Cam angle sensor.
Mazda believes that my timing may be off one tooth. I stopped them from doing the service, because I believe if the timing was off, it would be an issue all the time.
I heard the connector for the cam angle sensor sometimes swells when hot and sometimes needs to be replaced.
Anyone else have a similar issue? I find it hard to believe the timing is off. It was done 15k miles ago and shouldn’t have been fine until now.

Built a polar and tropical bus on the home planet, built all my facilities adjacent to it and finished yellow science like this after about 40h. At this stage I started to use the interstellar logistic stations instead of a bus system. After some experimenting I decided to spread the stations out across the top equator region by placing them 25 squares apart in alternating heights. My industry would the flow downwards towards the equator. I used a similar technique in the tropical region above to make buildings and other high-end products. A screenshot from my lava base, as an example This transition didn't go as smoothly as I hoped. I was constantly battling with power outages (especially on my home planet), production bottlenecks and resource and soil shortages. Often entire arms of my factory collapsed entirely if one or two resources weren't distributed properly. Every time I fixed and issue with the production line, another one appeared somewhere else. I am now well over 70h into my savefile and it's still not solved. I wanted to use this transition to clean up my old base and establish something cleaned, but it has only gotten more messy. I really liked my approach to this as it respects the symmetry of planets and divides them into clear sectors, but I don't understand why it failed. Is this a bad plan or did simply my execution of it fail? What are the important things to consider when planning facilities and production lines across multiple planets? |

Hello friends, Please help me solve this puzzle. Every once in a while for close to 20 years I scour the internet for any sign of a Pixar style short film that I saw. It was very late at night, I had young kids and I was delirious some of the time but I’m 100% sure this wasn’t a dream.
This is my best description of what I thought I saw. I hope I remember it correctly, some of it could be my imagination. I just can’t believe after all this time I’ve never been able to find it. I haven’t looked since last summer. I’ve given up hope but if anyone can solve this it’s the fine people of Reddit!
The story very much reminds me of the movie UP, but I’m positive I haven’t confused it with the film I’m looking for. It’s way too dark for Disney.

I’m guessing it was about fifteen minutes long and I’m sure there was no words spoken. I feel like it was all set to piano music and it may have been in black and white. This was probably on a cable station like AMC or Showcase late at night after a feature movie.

Like earlier this month, my XT8 system keeps going down every ten minutes or so. The CPU graph goes bananas right before it crashes and the log has a bunch of similar errors to the last event.
One of my family members is also experiencing random outages today (same system) and wanted to see if this was more widespread.
I upgraded to the latest firmware today too, which didn’t do anything this time.
Edit: this has actually been happening since 10pm EST last night.

I'm (22F) living at home with my aunt (60F) and cousin (27M). My mom moved out with my new step dad a few months ago. Originally my mom asked me for $100 in rent every month which was no problem. After she moved out, she said that she was struggling with the house payments so I had to start paying $400 in rent. I also had to start paying for utilities, water, internet and TP split three ways with my aunt and cousin. I pay for my own groceries which is about $200 a month. This is about $1000 a month plus therapy and transportation and I was only making $1600 with my part time job.
I was three months away from my one year anniversary at my job when I was unexpectedly laid off. They wanted to add another paralegal to the firm and I was interested in the position but didn't have the certificate from college. I felt really upset about the job loss but it motivated me to go back to school full time because I really want to get a good job. My mom said it would be fine but that I still need to find ways to make money for bills which I understand.
I guess I am just wondering what I should do. The bills aren't changing even though I got laid off and I really want to be a full time student and have a college degree. Rent would be expensive anywhere else but I'm wondering if the other bills would be cheaper if I moved out. Another Madden $70 re-skin is upon us, so let's take a moment to explore the history of all the people who have been featured on the cover of an pro football video game.
While the selection of the Madden cover athlete is now an event, there was a wild wild west period of football games from the 80s to the mid-2000s where anybody with a computer could and would build football games, with the selection of the cover being all over the place. Roger Craig was the first cover athlete in 1985 on NFL Challenge for MS-DOS. Madden's first game was in 1988, then by the mid-90s getting a cover athlete or spokesman for your football game was pretty standard.
I wanted to compile those games and covers based on this Wiki article (and a few that it was missing from that list) and see who was on the main cover of all of those games (some games were almost completely irrelevant, so I left them off this list). Some of these may have more alternates with other people, but I'll stick with the main cover.

Obviously QBs dominate here, but I didn't realize how little defensive players have been on football game covers (9%), with none being on a cover since Richard Sherman in 2014. I'd love to see more defensive players on the Madden cover. Who would be the most likely defensive guy in the near future? Aaron Donald, TJ Watt, Nick Bosa, Myles Garrett, or Sauce Gardner?

The Re-skins/Commanders?, Jags, Panthers, and Bills have appeared on a cover but never with an athlete as the lead or with a real person. 2002: NFL Fever was Microsoft's foray into football video games on the original Xbox. All 3 of their games featured Peyton Manning as the cover athlete.
2002: NFL GameDay 2003 was 989 Sports' exclusive for Sony on the PlayStation platform.
2004: ESPN NFL 2K5 was the last great football game before the NFL exclusively gave their license to the EA. It was this game that definitely led to NFL's decision though, as they slashed their release price to an unheard of $20, which forced Madden 2004 to release at $30 instead of the typical $50. This pissed off the NFL, who decided to have less competition instead.
2006: NFL Head Coach was a new perspective on NFL Games where you play as the coach instead of the players. I enjoyed these although they could get a little boring.
2007: All Pro Football 2K8 was 2K's attempt at keeping the 2K football franchise alive without the coveted NFL license. They got three HoF players on the cover in Elway, Barry, and Rice, but not the actual license to any NFL team. This game received praise for its mechanics, but poor sales showed that a non-NFL licensed game would always struggle to make it.
2011: Madden 12 was maybe the last good Madden game. Also, Peyton Hillis. The only guy on a NFL football game cover to never make a Pro Bowl. This guy is an actual hero though, so good for him.
2019: Doug Flutie's Maximum Football was a mix of american and CFL football as another attempt at making a football game without the NFL license to poor results. They have announced a new game as a free to play title on new platforms, but no games in this franchise have released since 2020.
2020: Retro Bowl is a mobile game more in the style of Tecmo Super Bowl than Madden. It's probably the most successful non-Madden game since ESPN NFL 2K5, and it's pretty fun. People should definitely give this one a try since it's free to play on any mobile platform.
2022: Madden 23 gave the cover back to Madden for the first time since 1999 to honor the passing of the legend John Madden. Unfortunately the game inside the cover was crap, has been the style of Madden games for over a decade.

The Madden Era: 2005-Present
2005: NFL Street 2 was the second in the NFL Street series as a kind of spiritual successor to NFL Blitz. EA tried to have some diversity in their football video games outside of the Madden franchise, so they had the short-lived Street franchise under \"EA BIG\"2006: NFL Head Coach was a new perspective on NFL Games where you play as the coach instead of the players. I enjoyed these although they could get a little boring.
2007: All Pro Football 2K8 was 2K's attempt at keeping the 2K football franchise alive without the coveted NFL license. They got three HoF players on the cover in Elway, Barry, and Rice, but not the actual license to any NFL team. This game received praise for its mechanics, but poor sales showed that a non-NFL licensed game would always struggle to make it.
2011: Madden 12 was maybe the last good Madden game. Also, Peyton Hillis. The only guy on a NFL football game cover to never make a Pro Bowl. This guy is an actual hero though, so good for him.
2019: Doug Flutie's Maximum Football was a mix of american and CFL football as another attempt at making a football game without the NFL license to poor results. They have announced a new game as a free to play title on new platforms, but no games in this franchise have released since 2020.
2020: Retro Bowl is a mobile game more in the style of Tecmo Super Bowl than Madden. It's probably the most successful non-Madden game since ESPN NFL 2K5, and it's pretty fun. People should definitely give this one a try since it's free to play on any mobile platform.
2022: Madden 23 gave the cover back to Madden for the first time since 1999 to honor the passing of the legend John Madden. Unfortunately the game inside the cover was crap, has been the style of Madden games for over a decade.

OK so since the start of our relationship he has had an Instagram account that apparently he didn't think I knew about, even though it literally has his picture on it and a username that describes his ethnicity and etc. I've seen this account through "suggested friends" in the past. I never thought much of it until a while ago when things began to feel a little off in the relationship.
So this is already getting long and I'm trying to keep it readable so I'll just jump right into it. I looked at his account comment history and over the past 2 months or so he has been commenting/liking other women's posts, telling them they're beautiful or sexy and etc. TBH that wasn't a huge deal to me, like whatever, however recently I checked again and he was replying to one of these clearly sex-selling girls who made a post with a caption of "What would you do if you saw me in this position wearing this?" (....)
So his exact response to this post was "I'd make you deepthroat me then F*** you where you were standing."
Like....really? So I confronted him about it that night by basically asking him if I wasn't sexually satisfying him (yet we have sex literally 3-5 times a week and I take pride in my talent there). He said no its not that and at first denied the entire account even being his but when I got serious and said please don't lie to me he came clean.
The thing that upset me though was at first he basically acted like this was no big deal and I was wrong for even being upset about it. That he should just be allowed to say these things to other girls because "he'd never actually do it in person". Eventually after explaining my feelings to him in bed that nite he did apologize multiple times.
Some of the points I brought up were that things you say on the internet are permanently always there and we are both trying to move upward at our respective careers. Would he want his boss reading that? It just seemed so immature to me. I also mentioned that he should of thought of me and how it would make me feel as he was typing those things to random ass insta thots. I didn't over react at all I just told him how it made me feel.
So AITA for getting upset about this and basically asking him to please stop doing it? In the same breaths I told him that I understand guys look at other girls and that I literally don't care if he looks at other girls, I'd just prefer he didn't tell them he wants to f*** them....

Is it normal to have graphics pop/load in in the distance while using the sled on the frozen lake and elf desert?
I'm playing on the PS5, and I figured it would be able to handle load times better, but I had a power outage a couple months back while my PS5 was in rest mode and I'm wondering if it might've hooped my console.
Aside from bad directional audio on my under powered headphones part it's really the only issue I've had with the game...minus the Berserkers...
Is the pop in normal and the PS5 just not as powerful as I expected, or should I be contacting sony...
