I have encountered many issues in my attempt to become a Coog and would greatly appreciate any help or advice anyone could give me.
I graduated from Penn State in 2001 and recently decided to return to school to obtain a law degree. I applied to UH on April 27, and UH admissions received my transcript from Penn State on April 28. I called UH multiple times to determine why my Parchment account showed delivery, but the UH system did not show the document as received. The admission representative suggested I email admissions the Parchment confirmation so they could investigate this issue, which I did immediately (May 15). I later received an unrelated email (May 19) informing me that UH had not received my transcript. I replied to the email immediately and called the admissions department (May 22) to determine how to get my transcript into the system. I didn't receive a response to my initial email (May 15) until two weeks later (May 26). On the May 22nd call, I finally learned that the problem was that my transcript was in my maiden name, while I had initially applied to UH with my married name. When the transcript was received, the UH admissions system created a second UH account under my maiden name, even though I had listed my maiden name on my application. The admissions officers informed me they would need to initiate an account merge to solve the problem. I asked if there was anything I could do to help with the process, and I was told to wait for the merge process to complete. On May 27th, I called to follow up on the merge status. Unfortunately, the merge was not initiated on the 22nd. The admissions representative I spoke to that day (May 27) finally initiated the request. I was told the merge would take 10 to 14 business days and that an admissions decision would follow 4 to 6 weeks later. The last admissions officer I spoke to suggest I give up on attending UH in the fall... the timeline wasn't in my favor. I expressed my desire to transfer class credits from my PSU career to UH before the start of the fall semester, assuming I receive an admissions decision. She connected me with a transfer counselor who reviewed my transcript. The counselor informed me that very few credits would transfer because my degree is from an out-of-state university. She suggested I attend HCC, which has a more liberal policy for accepting out-of-state credits. After completing the "Texas Core" at HCC, my credits would then be able to transfer to the University of Houston. This stance confuses and frustrates me as Penn State is, obviously, an accredited and prestigious institution. I have completed more than enough classes to satisfy the "Texas Core" requirements. Why make me go through the trouble of attending another university to get my credits to transfer? After over a month of dealing with unhelpful and often rude individuals at the UH admissions office, I am still seemingly no closer to getting a decision on admission to UH. At this point, I'm considering giving up and attending another university in the Houston Metro Area.
I would appreciate any suggestions on cutting through the red tape and dealing with transferring out-of-state credits.

Did it generate a lot of sympathy for Alec? No. Because his wife sprinkled the message with a generous helping of ESL, many headlines ridiculed her "long time necessary" broken English, in effect reminding everyone of the Spanish grift all over again. Par for the course the message was more about her than the patient ā "as your partner, I want you..." She also filtered her face beyond recognition. Okay. So she could've done better. She gets another chance to when Alec's back from the hospital. What does she do? She shares a grotesque story about a cat poop room in which her husband will be recuperating. She lays on her accent , vocal fry and filters, basically mimicking the mannerisms of a 14 y.o. So media focus shifts from Alec's recovery to their filthy apartment. Note that her sharing this story is particularly bizarre and inexplicable because they have been trying to sell their Hamptons house since September. Wouldn't the story make potential buyers wonder about the state of that house. More sabotage? Which brings me to my question. For over a decade the Baldwins have tried to position Hilaria as a health and wellness expert and a yoga superstar. Interested in healthy living? In weight loss? In one week baby bouncebacks? In bendy yoga? In miraculously speedy recovery from broken ankles and hips and wrists? Hilaria IS your GO TO source. So why on earth did she share this puerile cat poop story instead of creating a "yoga" segment about how to heal from a hip replacement? Why not share a video showing off how she's helping Alec with his recovery exercises and tracking his progress. Why not take advantage of an opportunity to flaunt her very special skills that they've been bragging about and trying to monetize for years on end? |

I don't know what to do about any of this at all I feel so guilty and like such a horrible and disgusting person. We were hanging out with a friend of his when my boyfriend asked me if I wanted to have a threesome with him we have talked about this in the past and were both open to the idea of it so I agreed and then his friend was down for it so we did. I know now that this was a really stupid decision and this isn't the kind of thing you choose to do in the spur of the moment and we really should have communicated better beforehand and during and I feel that is the main reason all of this happened. I didn't know anything was wrong until the end when we were about to leave and he wouldn't kiss me. He is really hurt and angry over everything and I understand why he feels like that looking back on things but I don't understand why he didn't say anything to me during it I would've stopped everything immediately if I had known how he felt. And know he wants to break up with me and feels like I cheated on him and is talking about everything like I cheated on him. I know that for things to work out or get better I need to give him time and space but he doesn't want to even talk about it and I feel like with a lot of the stuff he has been saying to me he's kind of completely twisting everything. And I don't know what to do or how to be there for him properly or how to work towards him being able to trust me and work through this. We've been dating for three years and I love him so fucking much and he means so much to me and I don't want to throwing everything away over this.

I just completed my first semester of an AD nursing program and am currently taking a second semester lecture course to lighten my load a little bit for the fall.
I passed all of my first semester classes and my semester qpa was a 3.4 so I am doing okay grade wise.
However, I feel like I am really struggling to retain everything that I'm learning and not forget it after the test/course is over. In addition, I struggle with applying information and relating new information to information I have already learned.
For example, my summer course is an OB course and I do well with questions like "placenta previa is x,y, or z". I struggle with questions like: "patient presents with symptoms x and y, vital signs are Ć, the nurse knows the patient is likely experiencing which medical condition?" Or "patient presents with symptoms x and y, vital signs are z, what is the nurses priority action?"
I'm concerned because I don't want to just pass my classes to get through the program. I want to be a knowledgeable and capable nurse.
Iām also concerned that Iām going go start struggling academically as I progress through the program if I donāt get better at studying.
Any advice on how to retain information and how to get better at the types of questions I described above?

 | F39 5ft1. Hw 228, sw212, cw 112 submitted by Nodella1 to OzempicForWeightLoss [link] [comments] Diagnosed with kidney disease in Sept. 2021. On track to be on dialysis in 2 years. Started Oz in Nov, ā21 because of obesity, ckd, and suspected metabolic disorder. Been heavy since puberty- weight watchers (the first time) at 13 and Iāve tried diets, calorie counting, meds, exercise- nothing made much of a difference. Even at my healthiest, I was obese. I was a hyper responder and started losing right away and never plateaued. Only went up to 1.0 and lost the weight in about a year. Changed my diet but no calorie counting. I donāt drink, eat red meat or pork, eat fast food and rarely eat fried food. On Oz, portion size changed dramatically and my adhd cravings for carbs and sugars vanished. Actually struggled to get calories and added boost high protein shakes to most days for a whole. Side effects- nausea for 6 months. I made it worse by assuming it was normal. Increased my hydration and for a script for Zofran and that helped. Silent acid- fixed with Prilosec. I did lose hair- my doc ran bloods and said that hair loss is usually not because of a protein or vitamin issue but that weight loss is a shock to the body that interrupts the hair growth cycle. When it kicks back in, the little baby hairs below the skin push out the old long hairs. Doc had me add D3 and biotin to encourage regrowth. I do have loose skin. Inevitable when you lose that much weight. How much it goes back is mostly based on how much you lose, age, genetics, and luck. Doc said to give it 2 years before considering surgery. Not a lot of vanity money but will likely consider a breast lift down the line. I donāt mind smaller but tmi, they look like hanging socks with tennis balls, lol. For exercise, bc of the adhd, Iām not great at self motivation. So I fixed my budget and hired a trainer. Started with one day a week and the nausea made it rough! It got better though and now I lift 4x a week and am even considering competition- eek! Been on a maintenance dose of .5 every 10 days for 8 months with no gain. I have an appetite but itās under control and easy to push away things when Iām full. A pint of ice cream that I could eat in a sitting now lasts 3-4 days. Got to my maint dose by dropping first to .5 every 7. Wanted to retain the max meds but stop losing. My doc and I set a hard stop and if I hit that number or bmi, we were reducing the dose. Moved to .5 every 10 and that seems to be the magic number. If I lost still, itād probably go .25 every 7, then .25 every 10. No oneās journey on these meds is the same and losing 47% of your starting weight is NOT typical. Clearly this med fixed something the others didnāt- my out of whack hormones. Planning on being on this for life because if I go off, my hormones go back to how they were before. Lucky to have an amazing doctor- we do bloodwork and check ins every 3 months. I also have good insurance (had to get a PA to stay on the maintenance dose though) Happy to answer questions about my experience. Going to cross post this as well on a couple other subs in case my experience might help others along the way. |

And I thought it was really sweet how Lorelai was treating her kindly before she knew, telling Sookie to get to a doctor because her taste is off for her food and then later, after talking to Rory, she kind of starts and says āoh my godā and just RUNS to sookie and starts jumping up and down with excitement.
It was just a very heartwarming moment.

Q. After logging to Bluesky, I am asked to get an invite. What does it mean?
A. Bluesky is an invite-only platform. At present there are over 1.5 million users on waiting list!!. Hence, inorder to use it, you should be invited by some other user on platform.
You could find some users running giveaways or offering invites on this sub, So make sure to be active here. check rules!
Q. How does an invite look like?
A. Invite is of the format "bsky-social-xxxxx-xxxxx"

A. I, felix, been running an initiative since 2nd March which helped 300+ get access to Bluesky. If you promise to pass forward the invites(Free from Internet scammers and no one is into buy bluesky invite or selling bluesky invites in our Trusted Invite train community, just passing it forward), you could consider joining our trusted community here. It's paywalled for the time and effort it takes to organise this. no everyone understands it, but totally cool:)

A. Some are offering invites by dropping them as posts now(example) and then, follow blueskyinvites and enable notifications(they go super quick). Also there are people trying to buy bluesky invite or sell bluesky invites, beware of bluesky invite scams out there & do it at your own risk.
