I have a single zone system with the thermostat located on the first floor, like many I'm trying to narrow the temperature gradient from the first floor to the 2nd (currently 9 degrees difference). My plan is to use an ecobee along with adjusting the dampers to mimmic the effect of a dual zone system. I have 4 dampers to work with, 2 going downstairs and 2 upstairs.
My question is what is the optimum configuration to get the most cooling upstairs. Close one fully?, both?, Only half way?, etc. Should I also close one of the downstairs registers or block the upstairs air return?

Some object that the footage is "staged". Of course it is staged. The primary consumer of the helmet-cam footage is Russian military intelligence. The evidence shot was staged for their benefit. The short edited video that was released to the public has distorted voices, and avoids showing any faces. Thus even if the footage is authentic, it is still "staged".
The ZNPP maps displayed in the video don't appear to match the announcement text. The maps could simply show where diesel fuel trucks need to go. Russia does not wish to advertise the specific nature of ZNPP's vulnerability.

Whatever one's theology, the relevant portion of BB's message is that the USA did not sufficiently embrace the opportunity offered by Q. Anyone who has read the Old Testament knows what happens next: Ignore the prophet, reap the consequences. Thus Q's slogan "Nothing Can Stop What Is Coming" should be understood in the Biblical sense, like Noah's flood: The Ark is optional.

I am feeling super incompetent and I keep googling till I am just exhausted. Can someone explain like I’m five? I don’t want to blow a fuse in my car. I used to have an external battery backup similar to a jackery and it broke as soon as the warranty was up, so I’m improvising.
I’m driving a 2011 Gen 3 so it’s got a 12V outlet in the console and another one under the dash.
I’m looking to do as little swapping of plugs as possible, and run:
—a HotLogic travel slow cooker, most of the time that I’m driving, 45 watts, 12v, 3.75 amps —a Coleman thermoelectric cooleheater (model 5232, vintage and secondhand, have never used it before. Will probably run almost continuously, 12V, 4 amps, don’t know wattage and the manual doesn’t say)
—various USB rechargeable devices, off a 6-outlet USB charger. Bluetooth adapter for the car radio system, MacBook, iPad, iPhone, headset, portable personal fan, backup battery, flashlight etc. Most of them can just trickle charge while I drive but the Bluetooth and phone do run continuously.
I got a Yantu 3-port splitter for the 12V, turns one cigarette outlet into 3 and has two USB ports as well. It says input 12-24v, output 5v=1A/2.1A, max 150W. I suspect that the 1A/2.1A number is for those USBs and not the round ports.
The six-usb charger says input 12v-24v; output dc 5v=10a total,each USB 2.4a max.
So can anyone give me solid advice: can I plug the fridge and the HotLogic into the splitter and put it in the 12V under the dash?
And then plug the six-usb splitter into the console 12V and plug all the usb stuff into that?
Or am I going to melt everything including my car and my dog?
How hard is it to change the fuse? I know u/Caper-Aprons is going to say “you can learn anything, it’s not magic” but can I, a novice, change it at AutoZone tomorrow with no tools and still not be late to my cousin’s wedding?

However, I am having trouble choosing which GPU to buy. I have researched the best I could, but the many online debates between team red and team green and the discussions of NVIDIA's overpriced GPUs has left me unsure about my GPU choice.

Gaming wise, I want to be able to livestream the games I play in high or ultra 1080p. In the list, the BenQ Mobiuz EX2510S is a used one which I already bought from a friend who recently upgraded to a 1440p monitor. Most of the games I play are fighting games like Guilty Gear Strive and Granblue Fantasy Versus, games like Warframe and the Monster Hunter series and indie games that do not require much from my 4 year old Hp Pavilion with a Ryzen 5 3500U CPU and Vega 8 Graphics. However, since I'm building a new pc, I do want to be able to both stream and play the more beefier benchmark games like God of War, Elden Ring and also the upcoming Armored Core 6 on 1080p High-Ultra settings. I don't care about Ray Tracing, I just want to experience smooth gameplay without having to reduce the game's resolution and without picking the lowest graphics settings.
From what I understand about the two main GPU companies, NVIDIA cards are better for productivity and have better encoding for streaming while AMD cards offer better gaming experience at a better price. The RTX 4070 was picked in my list for its performance and the fact that it is a NVIDIA card suitable for productivity/streaming/gaming. However, the 4070 goes for $800 CAD while only having 12GB RAM (but then again, it is considered to be the best performance value among NVIDIA's 40s series cards). On AMD's side, many online have recommended the 6800xt over the 4070 for its 16GB RAM while being within a similar price range. Some have also mentioned that AMD's encoding is starting to get better, but I do not know if this information is credible. But, the consensus online is that since I am making build focusing on productivity, NVIDIA seems to be the better graphics card choice.
However, as mentioned before, the 4070's price has got me considering buying the RTX 3060 instead. While the 4070 does perform way better then the 3060, the latter is more budget friendly and prices at $450 CAD, has 12GB RAM like the 4070 and is recommended by many as a good performance/value for 1080p, which seems to be a good fit for my Mobiuz EX2510S. I have also seen on the Canadian Newegg store that the MSI 3060s are going through a price drop which makes it even more appealing than the 4070: https://www.newegg.ca/p/pl?d=3060 . Looking to upgrade my PC. Not really that familiar with components, brands and compatibilities. Been wanting to upgrade my GPU and I’ve heard that I would probably have to upgrade my CPU and PSU if I want to do that (idk if that’s true. I’m a noob). Would appreciate any help on upgrade paths that’s good enough for me to stream smoothly. Also not planning on upgrading everything at once, most likely just what I need for components to be compatible.

The locke I have called The Elementlocke
Rules:
- You play through all the games on hard mode.
- When a skylander dies, it’s dead until it can be revived (Excluding swap zones).
- Every elemental zone you encounter requires you to swap to a skylander or vehicle of that element.
- You can swap skylanders as long as they are a part of the stronger element in the zone.
- Swap Force skylanders require the top part to match the element. The bottom element does not need to match.
- You need to go through every elemental gate/swap zone/battle gong you encounter.
- Opening an elemental gate revives all skylanders of that element.
- Dual element gates revive all swappers.
- Swap Zones revive all swappers of that movement type.
- Supercharger gates revive all superchargers.
- Battle gongs can only be rung by senseis of the element in the elemental zone.
- You must play through all levels, and all expansion pack levels you own.
- Magic items are not allowed. This includes Creation Crystals, Traps, Trophies, and Battle Packs.
- NFC cards may be used for any skylander that was officially released. That means no VVind-up or Heartbreaker Buckshot.

I'll be replacing most of my old pc, an i7-8700 + 32GB slow (2666mhz) ram. Mainly for productivity and 2D/3D art. Lots of Blender, photoshop, krita, substance, etc. Some code like gamemaker, godot, arduino/embedded. A bit of gaming but rarely AAA aside from the occasional fromsoft release, mostly indies. If it runs at 80-100fps I am more than happy. Some video editing/encoding. Some sound design.
I do want some performance, but I'm fine with not getting the most powerful parts. I want to air-cool it but without it making a racket. I'm not interested in liquid cooling, which I'm aware is perfect for silent builds. But for me the less system complexity the better. I can handle a little bit of fan noise, and I don't want to deal with leaks if something goes wrong. I live in a part of the world where it's pretty cold 6 months a year, and it only gets very hot (above 30C) only 2 months in the summer. My old pc has two 120mm fans in the front both set to their lowest speed, and the i7-8700 is 40C as I type this (with an ambient room temperature of 26C).
Not interested in fancy lighting. The PC is going under the desk where I won't see it much.
I will be dual booting Win 10 Pro and linux.
Here's what I've been looking at. Budgeting around $1500ish CDN (not counting case)
CASE : Fractal Design Torrent Compact - Only part that's set in stone since I already bought it. It's a good case though, and those two huge 180mm fans are perfect. Their size means less speed means less noise. Especially if I can lower their speed like I can with my current old pc.
CPU : i7-13700 - I'm a bit flexible though. Part of me wants to get the K version especially since it's not that much more, but I'm worried about noise/heat. Either will be such a huge upgrade from my i7-8700 anyway. I'm pretty unfamiliar with AMD, but I am open to being swayed from Intel if it suits my productivity needs and budget.
CPU cooler : Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 CPU Air Cooler - Allegedly good. GN seemed to like it. Somewhat flexible.
Motherboard : ASRock Z790 PG Lightning - Sort of undecided with this. Looking at Z790 means the power delivery will be stable, won't have to worry about PCIe lanes, SSD speeds and whatnot, but also it might be overkill since I'm not really into overclocking. Maybe a B760 is better if I can find a rock solid one? I'm no expert.
RAM : Corsair VENGEANCE DDR5 Black 4800MHz 64GB 2-piece kit - A lot of what I do is ram-hungry. I have 32GB DDR3 now and occasionally got close to maxing it. I am also looking forward to the much greater speed.
PSU : EVGA SuperNOVA 750 GT 750W - Though pretty flexible. I like that the cables are modular so I won't end up with a ton of unused cables that I'll have to tie up, potentially blocking air flow. I don't know what's good these days. I was looking at Seasonic too but those seemed to have non-modular cables.
SSD : Samsung 980 Pro 2TB M.2 - Don't think I'll need a 2nd drive as I have a NAS.
GPU : RTX 2080 from my old pc - It's old but still runs fine and I'll be using it until it dies. Blender could always use something better for rendering, but I'll wait until the GPU market is slightly less batshit.
Dual monitors : Currently not changing. Have a 32" 1440p and a 23" 1080p, both at 144hz. The 32" is glitchy as heck but I have specific requirements and the monitor market is weird right now, so I will be waiting.

Does does sensitivity scale 1 to 1 with dual zone or does it hit a point where the sensitivity launches you much more at certain points than others.
Example 99 sense vs. 100 sense
Similiar to aim smoothing on the upper levels it seems like there are some really big differences between them. Is that true or is the value 1 to 1 or is there some sort of multiplier?

Recently my neighbor across the street cut down a tall tree shading my house and my basement went from 60-64° year round to creeping above 70° on the hottest days. Humidity in the basement still holds pretty steady between 40-50%, even on rainy days. Ergo, I'm looking for a wine fridge for the basement. I have about 110 bottles, 75% are standard red sizes and 25% are non-Bordeaux sizes, i.e. Riesling, ice wine, port, a few larger format Burgundies. Single zone should be fine, and looking for something on the quiet side as the living room sofa would be somewhat nearby on the 1st floor.. Wi-fi enabled would be a bonus but not mandatory.
Budget $2500-3500 (that's USD). Thanks in advance.

Hi fellow old homeowners!
One day I hope to be able to afford to install some split units around my 100+ year old home in Philly, but in the meantime I'm using portable ACs. They actually work pretty well. My second floor stays comfortable, and my third floor bedroom (as long as I close the door) stays relatively cool overnight in summer.
The house was fully renovated, top to bottom 2020-2021. I know there was insulation installed between the ceiling and vaulted roof but otherwise my third floor does not have anything above (no attic or anything).
I have a centrally located, directly above staircase, ceiling fan on the 3rd floor. My logic was that it could help in the summer with the hot air accumulation at highest point of house.. circulation ftw! My bedroom is on one side and bathroom on the other side (both have doors). There are two dormer windows also in the central area, equidistant from the ceiling fan/stairs.
I'm thinking of putting dual window fans in each of the dormer windows to help push hot air out of the house... In my mind with the ceiling fan pulling heat up and the two dormer windows pushing heat out... Maybe that'll keep the 3rd floor a little cooler? Is this a stupid idea? Is there any basis in what I'm thinking? I'm only trying to make the best of a not bad situation, I don't expect it to actually cool the house just maybe assist with heat meditation.
