2023.06.09 00:47 applepineapple1 Coworker advice?
Long post
I didn’t have a good day at work yesterday. I currently work in a production facility. There was this coworker who’s been working their for six years. She’s a trainer as well. But I keep getting paired up with her. It seems to me that she thrives on perfection. She cleans and works on the machine inside and out.
I consider her to be high maintenance. when the lids fall underneath the spinning bars. you’re suppose to shovel the lids with this contraption. Shovel the lids down into the thing that spews the lids on the side of the machine. That then carry’s the lids onto the turn tables. That then get spun again on the spinning bars.
Anyways, I was just trying to tidy up my work area. So I don’t look sloppy and disorganized. Several times I was trying to shovel down the lids. Push the lids with the contraption into the hole. She goes on to say it causes the lids to get stuck on the opening. She then raised her voice at me to not “push so hard” and made hand gestures.
She went on to say that I push so hard. Then at some other time she went on to say how we should shovel, or what I call shovel. Dk what she calls it. Shovel at different times. It was all just a big mess. She went on to say how we both can’t shovel and how the turn tables get jammed. Idk, all I know was that I couldn’t shovel lids when I needed to. I think she’s nuts.
Then she was calling maintenance over. Two guys came and took a look at parts of the machine around the hole the fallen lids go into? They didn’t find anything. Then she got another guy from maintenance who basically did what he could. then she brought a fourth guy from maintenance then a fifth person- a girl from maintenance who was curious to see what was going on. They were working on it for a awhile.
And this particular coworker was extremely nit picky. The lids has to be stacked. Not a single lid could be facing the other side. Lots of people just show up and do the bare minimum. I might do a bit little more. But she was beyond nuts about the job. I’m my head I was like whoa girl, their just plastic lids and a cardboard box.
And on top of that she doesn’t let me carry the box past the tape machine on to the palette. I don’t particularly like carrying the boxes over. But for each box, it’s adding to my daily step count. Plus I spend about a min less away from the machine and the person standing across from me. She says along the line “ don’t worry about it” or something like “I got it.”
Now that I think about it. She’s nit picky about the cardboard boxes too! The boxes have to be labeled with a white printed paper. The basically says what’s inside and what # the box is. She’s nit picky about how the empty cardboard boxes are stacked before i use them to get filled up with plastic lids. Also how their stacked on the palette. Side by side each individual # stacked numerically.
Like as long as the five or six numbered boxes are on the same layer on the palette it should be fine? Like if 66 was on one side and 67 was on the other side of the layer or row whatever it’s called. But no to her it has to be 66 stacked next to 67.
I’d rather work by myself on a single machine than a machine that requires two people. But I’m not going to complain. I’ve thought about but I don’t want to get myself in trouble. I don’t want to be that person. When my coworker raised her voice at me. it left me traumatized. I can still hear it in my head.
I don’t think I want to work alongside her at a machine. What if I have to work with her again at next week? Should I complain about the coworker? Well, not about the coworker. But about having to work with that coworker? I hate to be that person. But if it says on that schedule for my next work day. That I have work with her. Then I’m seriously considering complaining to someone with a safety vest? To switch me with someone else? (22f Midwest).

Hobby wise, I love to travel, (always seeking the next opportunity for adventure!) photography is another pursuit of mine along with, cooking (am a massive foodie), keeping fit, running, participating in social sport and watching sport (Cricket, Tennis, AFL, F1 to name a few). Always down to try something new and forever the curious mind to learn too!
I would love to across like minded open individuals who are keen, encouraging and welcoming to explore new areas of interest. I would love to know what makes you tick, your hobbies, travel experiences and what sort of bucket list experiences you would like to do in the future!

2023.06.09 00:12 SnooDogs5721 I (F25) Want to Embark on a Self Improvement Journey... Where Do I Start?
Hi
selfimprovement, happy to be here! I've always been someone who aspires to prioritize my mental and physical health, but I've never had the self discipline or motivation to follow through with my goals. I just turned 25, and as I get older, my unhealthy habits are starting to catch up to me. I'm not looking to be the most disciplined or fit person of all time, but I do need to start to taking better care of myself. I am doing very well in my career, have a great social life, and am in therapy which has helped my anxiety a lot. However, I struggle waking up on time and therefore spend the majority of my day running around frantically trying to get to things on time, have terrible eating and sleeping habits, don't exercise despite having a gym in my apartment building, and struggle a lot with sticking to a routine bc of aforementioned lack of self-discipline (I also have ADHD, but find routines are helpful... until i fall off the wagon). I feel overwhelmed trying to get my life together and have no idea where to start.
A bit of relevant background info and my goals:
- I struggle a LOT to wake up on time, especially if I don't have somewhere to be first thing in the morning. I set my alarm for 7:30 every day, but can't remember the last time i actually got up at that time except to like travel or something.
- I live in a large city and work in a creative field where socializing and networking is extremely important. The vast majority of my friends are also creative types, so many of my friends do freelance and/or don't have consistent work hours where they have to wake up at specific times. I work a 9-6 at a creative agency, 2 days in office, 3 days WFH— these days are flexible. Because I'm a creative, it's pretty acceptable to roll into the office late, which I've taken complete advantage of. I can't remember the last time I went into the office at 9am, I always stroll in late.
- I typically don't wake up in time to eat breakfast, literally can not get out of bed until the last possible second, and that sets the tone for the day— constantly running around forgetting things and stressing out about being late places.
- My night time routine isn't much better, I don't have a consistent bedtime. Because I don't have any personal time at the beginning of the day, I end up decompressing at night, which of course turns into procrastinating, staying up late reading or watching TV, feeling wired and gross and stressed and not actually relaxing. I don't spend my alone time working on my hobbies, even though I know it would feel better than laying on my couch doing nothing for hours on end.
- I feel amazing when I am going to the gym consistently and I know its good for my mental health, but I can not get myself to go. I'd LOVE to workout in the mornings 3 times a week before I start working on days I WFH, but... it just doesn't happen. I always feel disappointed in myself when I realize I don't follow through. I'm starting to notice that I'm squishy, I'm not super concerned with losing weight, but I want to be in better shape and a bit more "toned". I look and feel better when I'm exercising.
- I love cooking, but again, get lazy when I finish work and end up snacking or ordering delivery and then overeating and feeling crappy. I'd love to get into the routine of eating healthy, homemade meals when I'm alone, and save eating out for when I'm socializing. Again... I tell myself that and still end up ordering delivery or takeout.
- My social life is super important to me, and I'd like to leave 2-3 evenings during the week open to see my boyfriend or friends, or do something interesting like going out or going to dinner. I feel invigorated and much more motivated the day after I go out with friends, but I don't know how to balance after work socialization with a healthy night time routine because i literally have no bedtime routine at all.
This all leaves me feeling really drained and overwhelmed by the end of the week. I always end my week feeling like I'm behind on things or disappointed that I didn't workout, eat homemade meals, get on a good schedule, or working on my hobbies. It's a really upsetting cycle where I just can not seem to hold myself accountable. The issue I run into is that all of my "problems" compound on each other and I am so confused as to how to start. If I don't wake up on time, I don't do any exercise, which leads to me eating poorly, which leads to me feeling fatigued and exhausted and unhealthy, which leads to me sleeping in, which leads me to stay up later- except im mentally drained so im not doing anything with those hours... then the cycle repeats.
Help me get my life in order please!!!
TLDR; I have no clue where to start in order to get my life in order. I WANT to be productive and organized.

2023.06.08 23:49 Sufficient_Camp_4702 Buying a car with 10 month credit history
Can someone explain to me what are my chances of getting a low interest rate with a FICO of 738, if I apply for a car loan with 10 months of history vs 12 months vs 14 months. Should I wait 2/4 months or should I buy a cheap used and allow at least 24 months of history before getting a new car. I moved to US 10months ago.

2023.06.08 23:26 NoFateButWeMake722 I have a decent job and solid savings but I just spend everyday kind of daydreaming. What should someone in their mid-20s do for adventure?
So I have a decent job... high school teacher, teaching at a good school, decent subjects (electives, Graphic Design/Audio Video Production, like they are fun I can't complain). And through a variety of side hustles, over my summer off I am actually making bank. But honestly I just feel so... blah. I don't really know anyone in my city, I feel unfulfilled, and I kind of want to be involved in some sort of clubs or something but there is not much that interests me. I kind of just spend my days daydreaming and honestly it's starting to get to the point where it is affecting my job because I kind of can't stay focused.
I just want... some sort of adventure. A lot of my students are graduating and moving to some cool place to some cool school and I... went to University 40 minutes from where I grew up and I am teaching within that 40 minutes zone also. At this point I really just have... my work. And that is it.
Over the last few weeks I impulsively followed a few random leads.
1) Someone sent me a job opening for a Photography/Videography job in the Caribbean. I love Scuba Diving so I applied and had an interview. I figured it would be basically a one year thing of roughing it, scuba diving every day, taking pics, and then I would find something else to do. I didn't get it.
2) Through a series of events I was told if I applied/was accepted I would basically be a shoe in for a lacrosse scholarship for graduate school in the UK. I... am in the process of applying and I am trying to figure out if said scholarship would be closer to 50% vs 100%? I've always wanted to study abroad and never could
3) I also impulsively applied for a teaching license in Colorado. I love snowboarding, they have a fairly large dirtbike scene, and a fairly healthy box lacrosse scene so maybe I'll have an easy way to meet people.
Also... I guess while 1 was a rejection, I can just pursue 1 and 2 at the same time. And see what happens. Idk from my post people can probably tell that I am scatterbrained... somebody be my career counselolife coach.

2023.06.08 22:15 asiago43 Lots of changes
Yesterday was my last day at my old job. Starting at my new position tomorrow. I am very nervous. I am worried about how I will be perceived with my more obvious stims and sensory issues. I may be able to get away with a bit more tomorrow since I will be doing specific legal tasks by myself rather than actually be in workflow, but starting Saturday I will be there officially. I will have to go back to trying to minimize my stims, hiding earplug use, working an extra hour before and after my shift to try to make things calmer during the day while people are there. I am very nervous.
I also got an email saying I have come up in the diagnosis waitlist. I am scheduled for August 16th and 23rd. I have mixed feelings about it. I never really intended to get officially diagnosed (I have been fine just knowing it myself the last 29 years...), but want to be prepared to ask for specific accommodations at my new job if needed- altered break schedule, earplug use, schedule alterations (currently slotted to work 23ish hours one week and 65ish the next).
Everything is just all-around new and changing, and I don't like it. I really regret accepting the new position and leaving the team that I fought so hard to fit into and who now accepts me. It's really too late to do anything about it, though. Very very nervous.

2023.06.08 22:09 Combustable-Lemons Laptop to supplement audio production on a budget (<£400), UK.
Total budget:
£400 at the most but preferably less. Buying in the UK
Are you open to refurbs/used?
Yes. I'd probably prefer refurbished if it means better performance for the money.
How would you prioritize form factor (ultrabook, 2-in-1, etc.), build quality, performance, and battery life?
Form factor and battery life less important. I want something relatively sturdy that performs well for the money.
How important is weight and thinness to you?
Unimportant.
Do you have a preferred screen size? If indifferent, put N/A.
N/A
Are you doing any CAD/video editing/photo editing/gaming? List which programs/games you desire to run.
I want to do some audio production, mainly on Ableton. It doesn't need to be a workhorse, since I've got a decent desktop for that. It just needs to be able to sketch ideas and handle some light production when I'm out of the house.
If you're gaming, do you have certain games you want to play? At what settings and FPS do you want?
Not using this for gaming.
Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touchpad)?
As mentioned, ideally something sturdy. Other than that, no requirements.

My girlfriend (18F) ways that she's doing fine even if I'm (18M) not with her after a big fight
Me and my girlfriend had a big problem and relationship crisis lately. I did something wrong and made some unintentional mistakes that caused her to get hurt. She's been taking some time off lately (I still message her at some points) but she has said out of the blue recently that she's doing fine and things are going normal for her and she doesn't miss me even if she's not with me at the moment and she says that she sees her life going on even without me in her life. Does she mean this or she's just pissed at me? Will she breakup with me? Does anyone have any experience with this that your partner has said something like this after an argument? What did you do to make them long for your relationship and not call off the relationship?
TLDR; Me and my girlfriend had a fight, I hurt her. I'm giving her space and she's taking time off and she said recently that sh doesn't miss me and she sees her life continuing even without me by her side and things are still going well for her. Or does she mean this and she wants to breakup soon or she's just pissed and affected and she just needs time?

2023.06.08 21:23 SapphicSparklebutt I can't stand my psychology teacher
I'm at the end of my tether Reddit. I, (17F), am currently a 6th form student. My other classes and teachers are great! They teach! But my psychology teacher, literally reads from slides. I've taught myself from the textbook that she DIDN'T WANT US TO GET (correct textbook, she just eanted yo use the online version, but I got the paper back version as I'm horrible on a computer). I'm just so sick of it. They say A levels are hard, but I'm not even at that point yet! They're next year!!! And I'm dreading what comes with them as I don't know anything much about psychology. I hate how an incompetent teacher can ruin a year's worth of effort. It feels like it's all for nothing. All because she decided to read and be lazy as fuck rather than reading. We're students. Not some participants to a study of what happens when the teacher doesn't teach. It's not just me saying it either. Most the class says so! Compared to sociology or art, psychology is the class I do worse in (Predicted a B, so not horribly), but I'm achieving a high C and she's disappointed every single time. I'm sick if it. I'm sick of the stupid class and I just want it to go away. I wish I never took it to begin with, but I'm in too deep now. It really goes to show just how much of a difference it can make between teachers with ones that try, and ones that don't. Please, if you're a teacher out there, actually teach your students and don't just read from slides, anyone can read, not everyone can teach.

2023.06.08 21:18 okaydaddy1 Looking for a legit sugardaddy (read before contacting me)
hello, trying to shoot my shot again. after kinda having met two sugardaddies here on reddit, which ended after a really short time, i am again looking for someone new. look, you can't fool me. its not going to work, i know all your tricks and games and if you are here to waste my time don't try it.
i am going to set my ground rules, if this is something you cant agree on, then this won't work:
i only use Pay Pal and Telgram
i will verify myself however you want me to and i expect the same from you
i won't show my face unless it is for verification purposes (maybe if we are comfortable with each other yes, but this will need a lot of time)
i am looking forward to someone with respect and who treats me like a mutual. this means i am not submissive (maybe just a little when it comes to the sexual part, but that's it)
i am looking for something strictly online, don't try to make me meet up with you, this won't work
yeah well, these are some things that came up to my mind. i don't want to scare you off, just wanted to be honest and not waste anyones time. and now a little bit about me :) i am 20 years old, 5'1 tall and in need of a (online) sugardaddy who can spoil me in exchange with sexy pics and videos, talking/friendship, gfe and so on. yes, i am an experienced sugarbaby, i already had two longterm relationships. I am just a university student who wants some financial help. i am not dumb at all and i am actually really independent, just need a bit of financial help cause you know, life isn't cheap nowadays (no I don't like expensive clothes or whatever, just trying to stay alive😂)
thats it from me, i know this was a lot but if you read until the end then you probably aren't a scammer and feel free to contact me (but please dont say "hey baby" cause thats what a lot of scammers do and i won't reply to that) just don't be a dick and respect my boundaries. if that's the case feel free to dm me🤪😊

Given that the Transformers franchise rights currently belong to Paramount Pictures, it's more than likely that we'll see the next Transformers film come to Paramount+ once the movie decides to indulge in a streaming release. While not every film from the franchise is currently available on the service, it's hard to imagine that Paramount wouldn't put a big recent release like this onto their own service.
No, Transformers Rise of the Beasts is not yet streaming, so you’ll need to zoom your way to the nearest cinema if you want to see it. We’re sure that you’ll be able to stream Transformers Rise of the Beasts eventually, but Paramount has made it exclusive to cinemas for now. After all, that level of destructive action is best witnessed on a massive screen and through booming speakers.
Where to Watch Transformers: Rise of the Beasts
Transformers Rise of the Beasts lands explosively in cinemas on June 9, 2023, and it’s a theatrical exclusive for now. If you want to bear witness to the Beast Wars and the threat posed to Earth by Unicron – a planet-devouring contender to be one of the best movie villains ever – then you’ll need to head to your nearest multiplex. In common with the rest of the best action movies in this franchise, it’s theatrical or bust to begin with.
There are currently no platforms that have the rights to Watch Transformers: Rise of the Beasts Movie Online.MAPPA has decided to Transformers: Rise of the Beasts the movie only in theaters because it has been a huge success. The studio , on the other hand, does not wish to divert revenue Streaming the movie would only slash the profits, not increase them.
As a result, no streaming services are authorized to offer Transformers: Rise of the Beasts Movie for free. The film would, however, very definitely be acquired by services like Funimation , Netflix, and Crunchyroll. As a last consideration, which of these outlets will likely distribute the film worldwide?

When Will Transformers: Rise of the Beasts Be Available On Netflix? Unfortunately the movie Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is not yet available on Netflix. Follow us on Facebook to see when Transformers: Rise of the Beasts becomes available on Netflix!
Transformers Rise of the Beasts is too busy shaking cinema walls to be on Netflix just yet. But we’ll keep an eye on the streamer’s catalog and let you know if the new Transformers outing does show up in the future. The streaming giant has a massive catalog of television shows and movies, but it does not include 'Transformers: Rise of the Beasts.' We recommend our readers watch other dark fantasy films like 'The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf.'
Is Transformers: Rise of the Beasts coming to Disney Plus?
Transformers Rise of the Beasts is not on Disney Plus, and we doubt it will end up there any time soon. The new Transformers movie is a Paramount production, so it’s not likely to end up on the streaming arm of a rival studio. Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, the latest installment in the Transformers: Rise of the Beasts franchise, is coming to Disney+ on July 9th! The simple answer is, probably not, since Paramount Pictures make “Transformers” films, and so this means that the new movie will be streaming exclusively on Paramount+, following a theatrical and digital release.
However, the previous “Transformers” films are spread around a number of different streaming services, depending on what country you are in, due to long-running contracts between the studios and streaming platforms.
Is Transformers: Rise of the Beasts on Amazon Prime?
We think Transformers Rise of the Beasts will be available on Prime Video before the end of 2023, but it’s not there yet. The other Transformers movies are available to rent or purchase on the Prime Video platform. Amazon Prime's current catalog does not include 'Transformers: Rise of the Beasts.' However, the film may eventually release on the platform as video-on-demand in the coming months.fantasy movies on Amazon Prime's official website. Viewers who are looking for something similar can watch the original show 'Dororo.'
Transformers: Rise of the Beasts Will Stream On Paramount+
Transformers: Rise of the Beast is expected to be available to watch via streaming on Paramount Plus by September 9, 2023. Paramount+ is where Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will stream upon its release. Paramount has been in charge of the Transformers movie franchise since it began in 2007 and thus is responsible for releasing every entry in theaters. While the studio might have previously sent its movies to other streaming services like Netflix, the shift to focus more on the development of its own streaming service Paramount+ has changed this tactic. That is why Paramount has released its other major recent blockbusters like Top Gun: Maverick or Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves on Paramount+ after their theatrical runs conclude.
Want to know how to watch the Transformers movies in order before Rise of the Beasts roars into theaters? You've come to the right place. The seventh entry in Paramount Pictures' Transformers film franchise arrives in cinemas worldwide on Friday, June 9, so you don't have much time left to watch its predecessors at home. But, if you're planning to cram them all in before catching Transformers: Rise of the Beasts this weekend, we're here to help you work out how to watch them in chronological and release date order, and we'll also tell you which of the world's best streaming services have them as part of their movie libraries.
So, if you're ready to be reunited with Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and company – and get the lowdown on every Transformers film to be released so far – read on.
Here's How and Where You Can Watch All of the Transformers movies
The best place to start is finding out where you can watch all of the Transformers movies in order in the comfort of your own home. If you're subscribed to Paramount Plus, that's your answer – well, for five of the six films, anyway. Paramount's primary streaming platform is home to the Michael Bay-directed trilogy – Transformers, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, and Transformers: Dark of the Moon. The streamer's film library is also home to the two Mark Wahlberg-starring flicks, Transformers: Age of Extinction and Transformers: The Last Knight.
● Transformers (released on July 3, 2007) ● Revenge of the Fallen (released on June 24, 2009) ● Dark of the Moon (released on June 29, 2011) ● Age of Extinction (released on June 27, 2014) ● The Last Knight (released on June 21, 2017) ● Bumblebee (released on Dec. 21, 2018) Potential users looking to watch this quintet of movies will want to check out our Paramount Plus price guide to see how much it costs to sign up. Alternatively, you can get the lowdown on whether a Paramount Plus free trial is available, so you can try the service out without paying any money to stream the movies. Unfortunately for Paramount Plus UK and Australian-based users, the sixth entry in the action sci-fi franchise, 2018's Bumblebee, isn't available on British shores as part of the package.
US subscribers can catch Bumblebee on Paramount Plus (and Fubo, for what it's worth), but UK and Australian fans will have to look elsewhere to get the full Transformers movies in order experience. Here's where UK and Australian viewers can watch Bumblebee instead:
● Australia – rent or buy via the Amazon, Apple TV Google Play, Microsoft, or YouTube stores ● UK – rent or buy via the Amazon, Apple TV, Google Play, Microsoft, Rakuten, Sky, or YouTube stores Will Transformers: Rise of the Beasts Be On HBO Max?
No, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will not be on HBO Max since it’s not a Paramount Pictures movie. Last year, the company released its films in theaters and on the streamer on the same day. However, they now allow a 45-day window between the theatrical release and the streaming release.
Disney may have made billions with last year’s mega-blockbuster Avatar: The Way of Water, but for now it’s going to share the streaming success. The Steven Caple Jr. directed sequel is coming to streaming on September 11 and though the film was distributed by Disney, Disney+ won’t be the only place to see it. You can see it there as well as Max, aka HBO Max.
Is Transformers: Rise of the Beasts Available On Hulu?
Viewers are saying that they want to view the new animation movie Transformers: Rise of the Beasts on Hulu. Unfortunately, this is not possible since Hulu currently does not offer any of the free episodes of this series streaming at this time. It will be exclusive to the MTV channel, which you get by subscribing to cable or satellite TV services. You will not be able to watch it on Hulu or any other free streaming service.
No, 'Transformers: Rise of the Beasts' is unavailable on Hulu. People who have a subscription to the platform can enjoy 'Afro Samurai Resurrection' or 'Ninja Scroll.'

You can also rent or buy the movie on iTunes or Google Play. You can also watch it on-demand or on a streaming app available on your TV or streaming device if you have cable.
When Will Transformers: Rise of the Beasts Be on DVD and Blu-ray?
Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will likely be coming to DVD and Blu-ray around the same time as the streaming release. With theatrical films, on average, coming to streaming sooner than ever (usually ninety days after theatrical release), we'll likely see Transformers: Rise of the Beasts get a DVD, and Blu-ray release no later than Fall 2023. Transformers Rise of the Beasts isn’t on Blu-ray yet but will join the rest of the franchise on disc before the end of 2023. There are plenty of fancy releases and box sets of the other Transformers movies, so we’re sure this one will be available to buy in all of its 4K glory very soon.
Transformers: Rise of the Beasts cast:
Some familiar voices can be heard as the titular robots-in-disguise in the Transformers: Rise of the Beasts cast, like Transformers legacy actor Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime, as well as new cast members like Peter Dinklage and Michelle Yeoh voicing new Transformer characters:
● Anthony Ramos as Noah Diaz ● Dominique Fishback as Elena Wallace ● Luna Lauren Vélez as Mrs Diaz ● Tobe Nwigwe as Reek ● Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime ● Pete Davidson as Mirage ● Liza Koshy as Arcee ● Ron Perlman as Optimus Primal ● Michelle Yeoh as Airazor ● David Sobolov as Rhinox ● Tongayi Chirisa as Cheetor ● John DiMaggio as Stratosphere ● Peter Dinklage as Scourge ● David Sobolov as Battletrap ● John DiMaggio as Transit ● Michaela Jaé Rodriguez - Nightbird What Transformers: Rise of the Beasts About:
Optimus Prime and the Autobots take on their biggest challenge yet. When a new threat capable of destroying the entire planet emerges, they must team up with a powerful faction of Transformers known as the Maximals to save Earth. For a while, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts looked like it might be another Bumblebee--a Transformers movie that lacks any of the pizzazz of the Michael Bay flicks but which actually tells a decent story about characters you actually care about. For the first 45 minutes to an hour, we get the most compelling and relatable version yet of the story about a regular person accidentally becoming friends with an alien robot who was secretly a car. But then the plot really kicks in, and suddenly we're watching a Michael Bay Transformers movie--but without Bay's skill as an action filmmaker.
It’s a tale as old as time: A human character stumbles upon a group of Transformers that includes Optimus Prime (Peter Cullen) and Bumblebee (voiceless yet again), and gets roped into their battle with an evil faction, which inevitably involves a race for a piece of Transformers tech that has the power to destroy the world.

2023.06.08 21:01 spacecati Strategy for tackling credit scores before taking out a car loan
Hello y’all, me and my fiancé are looking into financing a car in about a month or two. I know that currently it’s a bad time because of interest rates and the inflated car market but we need something good and reliable for her job.
Our buying range ideally is between 15-20k for ideally a used Prius and we have about 4-6k we can put down. We make about 95k combined. We don’t really know much on credit, she’s never taken on any credit cards or loans because her family has some pretty severe credit problems that’s made her very weary of it. Mine is at about 670 currently, which isn’t good. I’ve had an OpenSky card at below 30% utilization for 3 years now, always paid on time but that’s it. I also have about $300 worth of debt due to some things I didn’t pay off ~5 1/2 yrs ago.
My main question is how should we approach buying a car with this in mind? From the little I know, I think the debt more or less falls off after 7 years right? Is it worth it to pay off the debt for the minimal score increase? I can easily afford it, I just don’t know what it would do in terms of my credit score because it’s been on my record for so long. If I paid it off how long would it be before my credit is adjusted to reflect that debt being paid off? Should my fiancé get a credit card before we take out a loan or will it not matter since it’s so close to taking out the loan? We’re planning on opening a joint account at a credit union to use for bills as well as compare rates to the dealerships, is this a good plan as well? Thanks for any advice.

2023.06.08 21:00 AutoModerator What are the benefits and side effects of Ashwagandha?
What is ashwagandha?
The ashwagandha plant is one of
the most powerful herbs. Various parts of the ashwagandha plant are used for medicinal purposes, with ashwagandha extract mainly being used in supplements. Ashwagandha is an adaptogen, a natural agent that reportedly helps the body cope with stress. As a result, it’s believed to be effective at helping reduce levels of the stress hormone, cortisol. It may also therefore potentially help with anxiety and depression too.
What does ashwagandha do?
Reduces Stress and Anxiety Ashwagandha is known to help reduce stress and anxiety. One way it does this is by reducing levels of cortisol, a hormone that is released in response to stress. Additionally, ashwagandha has been shown to improve mood and cognitive function, both of which can be negatively affected by stress.
Enhances Cognitive Function Ashwagandha has also been shown to improve cognitive function. One study showed that it improved memory and reaction time in healthy adults. Another study found that it improved task performance in people with ADHD. Additionally, ashwagandha may help prevent age-related cognitive decline.
Boosts Energy Levels Ashwagandha has been shown to boost energy levels. One study showed that it increased stamina and reduced fatigue in people with chronic fatigue syndrome. Additionally, ashwagandha may help improve exercise performance.
Additionally, ashwagandha may also help improve sleep quality and reduce inflammation. These effects can all contribute to enhanced energy levels.
Regulates Blood Sugar Levels Ashwagandha has been shown to help regulate blood sugar levels. One study showed that it improved insulin sensitivity in people with type II diabetes. Additionally, ashwagandha may help reduce fasting blood sugar levels and improve symptoms of diabetes.
Additionally, ashwagandha may also help lower cholesterol levels and protect against heart disease. These effects can also contribute to improved blood sugar control.
Lowers Blood Pressure Ashwagandha has been shown to help lower blood pressure. One study showed that it improved blood pressure in people with hypertension. Additionally, ashwagandha may help reduce stress and anxiety, both of which can contribute to high blood pressure.
Is ashwagandha safe? Ashwagandha is generally considered safe for most people. However, it can cause side effects such as stomach upset, diarrhea, and vomiting in some people. If you're pregnant or breastfeeding, it's best to avoid ashwagandha.
What happens when you take ashwagandha daily? As a sleep aid, ashwagandha may help people get to sleep faster and stay asleep for longer. It is also used to promote male potency. Ashwagandha has a variety of health benefits, including reduced blood sugar levels, inflammation, mood, memory, stress and anxiety relief, as well as an increase in muscle strength and fertility. Depending on your requirements, dosages vary from 250 to 500 mg per day for at least one month.
When it comes to stress relief, ashwagandha may be as effective as some prescription medications. A 2010 study found that the herb was just as effective as lorazepam (Ativan) in reducing stress and anxiety. click the link below to learn more about abhwagandha, and its real health benefits.

2023.06.08 20:37 Immediate_Squash_825 I'm afraid to leave my relationship because I'm in debt
I (33F) am in about 15k worth of credit card debt and have absolutely wrecked my credit score, now I don't know how to leave my partner because of my finances, and I'm afraid I'll have nowhere to go. The area we live in is pretty expensive and the landlords are absolute nightmares to deal with, it's also where my whole support system is and I feel like leaving would really put me in a bad space.
The back story to how we got here, my father died last year and I just spiraled into a depression and neglected A LOT. I did immediately start going to therapy, stopped drinking, started playing soccer, and after 12 months of therapy, started on antidepressants. Despite doing my best to cope, I was numb, and every day I asked myself why I needed to be here. While I looked like I was functioning to everyone else, I was fucking drowning inside my own head. I had this inner dialogue that was just wrecking me day in and day out, destroying my self worth and I couldn't get it under control.
I know I've always wrestled with my mental health and have been through something similar before, so I tried my best stay ahead of it by not using substances and staying active, but that was clearly not enough, because I flat out gave up on my bills. So now I've wracked up all of this debt, and naturally started missing payments left and right, I have a decent job but I don't make enough to manage all of my current bills plus pay down 15k in CC bills. I don't know how else to explain this behavior, but in my head it was like I wouldn't be around long enough for bills and debt to matter anyway.
When my father died my partner (37M) tried his best to be supportive, but it highlighted a lot of the issues we've had over the years. At first he was very consoling, but it was clear he didn't know what to do with me, and I didn't blame him for that, that's a tough position to be in. But after about 3 months it was clear that he desperately wanted me to "go back to normal".
I had pretty clear triggers that sent me into a sobbing fits, specifically in movies or TV shows. One day in a store I saw a dad walking with his teenage daughter, and they just looked so happy... I started silently crying, not sobbing but definitely tears. My partner was mortified, he didn't say much in the moment, but when we got back to the car I apologized for not being able to manage my grief yet and his response was, "Is it always going to be like this then? We can't go to a store without it feeling heavy?". In the moment I understood why he felt that way, it can't be fun living and trying to function with someone who is so severely depressed.
Over the course of this year we've also fallen into a really sexless dynamic. In the past I've had more space to try and work on our sex life, we've always struggled a bit in this area. I put in a lot of effort to understand his kinks and find equal footing for my preferences, but after a year of just trying to stay afloat in my own head I couldn't make space for that.
I've blamed myself for our relationship spiraling. However, in the last six months I've started on antidepressants and have truly been feeling more like myself, this has put a lot of things into perspective for me...
Now I find that I'm frustrated and a bit resentful. I'm frustrated that my partner let me sit there and take the blame and wallow in that guilt when I was trying to survive and grieve. I'm frustrated that his kinks always take precedence over mine and it doesn't feel like there's space for me to have my needs met too. I'm frustrated that every conversation we had about my depression centered around how I was going to manage it, and never "how I could be supported by him". We've had talks in the last 3-4 months about our sex life and emotional intimacy, I've requested that we go to therapy together but he is not open to that.
I have always tried to take responsibility of my mental health and my problems, but how is this a partnership when I spent 12 months drowning internally and was never asked how I could be supported? Now I have a whopping pile of CC debt, a terrible credit score, no car (because I sold mine years ago to save us money on gas), a dead dad, and a relationship that I'm not sure can be fixed.

Hey all!
My name is Luke, and I've been truly blessed with some incredible things in life. I've spent months in the jungles of Borneo, Malaysia, hearing the sounds of thousands of insects at once, witnessing terrifying ghosts there (genuinely) I've been to the busiest cities on planet earth in Tokyo, hearing the bustle and madness of Tokyo rush hour. I've traveled all over the world.
I'd love to meet someone who's into travel, fitness, ancient history, eating crazy food, education, perhaps video gaming? I'm open to anyone across the world, as long as you're 20+ down for long distance travel (of short) and would enjoy discovering Atlantis, since that's definitely what I'm destined to do. Please send me a picture of you, this is really important too!
I've slept under the stars countless times, teaching adults and kids wilderness survival skills across the world, I've had such incredible moments in my life, and I'm looking to share them with someone, grow, and probably die a horrible death where my breathing tube stops working because one of the grandchildren pulled the plug when you fell asleep. From there I suffocate, and relive my most boring memory of writing out this on Reddit, in a never ending loop forever, as the DMT seeps into my brain.
Hey all!

2023.06.08 20:08 TheRenegayed iPhone screen - fixed itself?
So my iPhone 11 has a couple of shall nicks on the far left of the screen next to the “a” when you bring up the keyboard. I was travelling into London, had my phone in my pocket and was quite sweaty. By 8:15am when I got to the office I tried to use my phone and the touchscreen was registering inputs all over the place. I just about managed to key in my passcode (after nearly calling the emergency services in error!) and I had to use Siri to send text messages. No prayer of typing as it brought up lots of nonsense. I think it was registering the scratch as a touch since I was getting a lot of aaaas coming up when I type. I tried restarting the phone, no change.
Later at about 2pm it just seemed to be fine. No taps where I wasn’t touching and I could text again. I’m writing this post on it now.
So what happened and is it a short term fix? Maybe it was the heat and humidity of being in a fat man’s trouser pocket that caused the issue, then after several hours it dried out? I’m not expecting a definitive answer. Looks like I’ll need to get insurance gif my next phone when this one finally bites the dust. Hopefully it lasts!

2023.06.08 19:55 Salt_Broccoli_8546 Senior Developer (2 years experience at company) is competing with me (junior developer, 2 months of experience at company). Legacy codebase. This individual is assigned to getting me ramped and up to speed..
I could use some advice. I'm a female developer working on an all-male team. I've been partnered with a senior developer who has been with the company for almost 3 years. I've been with the company for 2 months. He was assigned to me as the person who would get me ramped up for the position I'm working now, and he's done an extremely poor job at it. I don't know who roped him into getting into a mentorship position, but I'm relatively certain that he despises everything about having to work with other people, let alone a woman who codes.
We've recently been assigned a POC to tackle together. This guy is competing with me. I'm two months in, and it doesn't stop there. He has deliberately misled me on clues to solving certain tickets and left me spinning my wheels for hours. He then likes to swoop in the next day and say, 'Hey, sorry I was wrong about using 'x' to solve 'y'. I've got a solution for that that seems to work if you want me to do it.' So I'm then put in a position where I have to say, "Yeah great, go ahead", or say "No" and stall the bloody project while I struggle in isolation to solve it myself.
This is just the shittiest team dynamic I can imagine. My team lead is on vacation for some time, and I'm sort of out here at 2 months in to this job and I'm entirely on my own. I feel like I'm being sabotaged. I'm keeping track and documenting everything but I feel like shit. I'm not interested in participating in this any more just to be misled, have my time wasted, and my work taken credifr for by someone else, and to be competed with when I'm 2 months in to learning a massive legacy codebase.
I'll take your best advice. Thanks!
