I am wondering if anyone knows of a hair stylist or a hair salon that is good with people, specifically anxious people. I have a lot of anxiety/ lack of confidence during/around hair cuts. I have had my hair cut by a professional maybe 2 times and both times were hard for me. Normally I cut my own hair but I want to freshen up my hair by a pro for the summer and I have no idea where to look. Looking in Hamilton/Dundas/Ancaster and Burlington areas. Thank you 🥹

 | Hi! I recently went to a salon for the first time in several years to have a brown to blonde ombré/balayage done. I usually do my own hair at home so it honestly took a lot for me to trust somebody with my hair. I had done a purple/pink split dye at home, and as you can see on one side my hair still has green left in it where the purple changed color during the bleaching process. I see people whining about their Norwood score or whatever and taking a pharmacy cabinet of meds and creams and routines to keep the hair that their body obviously wants to get rid of, why not just get a hair system at one of those salons? Women wear wigs and clip-ins all the time.
Maybe lots of guy's already do and I just don't notice.

I am new to the hair system world, and there isn't any specialized salon in my area. So, I decided to go ahead and apply the system myself. I bought the Inception FL from Lordhair. It looks nice and matches my hair color but I am still not sure what's the best adhesive to fix it in place. Between Walker tape and glue and Got2B glued.
I am personally leaning toward the Got2B Glued Extreme Freeze Hair Spray as I wanna be able to remove the system every 48 hours or so (I have very sensitive skin and I can't keep the system for a week or longer) but I am not sure that this product would work with the Inception FL, given that it has thin skin in the front. Check the image as it provides more context.

My (39F) daughter (13F) wants to start getting waxed because she claims keeping up with her body hair makes her miserable. One of her friends from school went to a salon with her mom and told my daughter she hasn’t had to shave her legs at all for weeks. I warned her that waxes hurt a lot but she kept insisting and said it was worth it. I agreed to book an appointment and and asked her if she just wants her legs done or something else too. I was thinking of armpits or arms, but she wants a FULL wax and wants to get ALL her body hair removed.
I booked an appointment for her legs, arms, and armpits but lied and told my daughter that the salon said she has to be over 16 for anything else. She started crying and had a very negative reaction. I just think she’s too young for it. I didn’t even shave my legs until high school. AITA?

I have long brown hair already and it’s naturally wavy, but even after conditioning or a leave in conditioner it looks dull and not bouncy or full of volume as the person in the pictures. I have tried blow drying my hair and it looks more poofy like 1980s glam. I have purchased so many salon products from curl creams to hair oils, etc… nothing gives me this look.

I'll get right to it. I went to a hair salon awhile ago and the stylist said I have a lot of build up on my scalp, even after doing 2 scalp treatments to get rid of it.
I have white sometimes yellow flakes on my scalp. It's worse around my hairline, but I have 2 particularly bad spots on my scalp where I can pick literal chunks off, after which it tends to bleed. It gets worse if I go long between wash days, and I've noticed it getting worse since I started using gel to reduce frizz on my curls. The flakes feel oily but the skin by my hairline looks white, ashy and dry?
Recently I started sitting in front of a mirror and take a fine tooth comb and literally scrape the flakes off my scalp because otherwise it won't come off properly when I shampoo. The flakes are big and they're a lot. They fall onto my face and this issue has spread to my eyebrows, and certain parts of my face. Both my scalp and the skin affected by this issue feel really tight. If I go too far with the scraping, my skin bleeds and it burns in the shower. But if I don't do that, my scalp will remain white and ridden with flakes. It's not really itchy most times, but can be.
I can't afford to see a dermatologist right now but do plan on doing so later in the year, but until then I was thinking of trying Nizoral shampoo. But then when I was doing research I read that if it's dry scalp and not dandruff, Nizoral could make it worse?

- When it comes to makeup, did they all carry their own makeup case and do their own makeup before showtime? What if they were terrible at their own makeup? Or was there a designated makeup artist on the road with them that used their own kit and did makeup application for them?
- Another makeup question, but how did they manage to have their entire look stay on even in the most brutal of matches? I’ve never seen anyone with smeared lipstick or foundation rubbed off. Everyone always seems to have their makeup perfectly in tact even after a match.
- How did they not have visible sweat on their faces or bodies? I’ve noticed a lot of them don’t really look drenched like you would think. (Maybe they’re just so trained and have amazing stamina so they’re kinda used to it and therefore don’t show it as much?)
- For hair, did they style their own hair and have to bring their own tools? Was there a hairstylist to travel with them and use their own tools on them? Also, when would they have time to touch up their hair dye/hair extensions? I’m assuming on an off day but you’re traveling constantly would they go to random salons when the time came to retouch hair? I can’t help but wonder what would happen in the case of a hair disastebotched service and they have to be on tv the same/next day.
- Another hair question, I’m assuming that after every match (whether it was a show or just training) they would not only have to shower their face and bodies, but also their hair. Every single time? Wouldn’t that dry out their hair really bad? (On top of having to use hair dyes, extensions, heat tools etc) Did they all just walk around with extremely damaged hair?
- How did they maintain their tans? Tanning beds? Self Tanner? Spray tans? Wouldn’t a spray tan melt off them from sweating, showering a lot, and rolling around excessively? How did they always manage this?
- I’ve noticed they always have a nice manicure whether it’s a simple French tip or colored nails, would they just go to random nail salons while traveling? I’m assuming yes since they can be on the road for weeks and months at a time without being home right?
- Diet & exercise, I’m sure they get plenty of exercise and had the hook up on gyms whenever they went, but what about diet? I’ve read a lot of them either get room service or go to random fast food/diners. Sure they can get healthier choices but it seems like it would be hard to calorie count that way?
- Last one, but how did they manage wardrobe? We’re they in charge of their own clothes? Would they just travel with a limited amount of clothes? (I’m assuming they were only allowed to bring so much) Would they just have to buy clothes as they went? Did WWE choose their attire for them and already have it ready for them? What about when it comes to laundry? Is there a department for that? Is it up to the superstar to get it dry cleaned/washed? I can’t imagine a “regular” washer can be used with some of the extravagant gear some of them had.

i went to a hair salon a couple days ago and the bottom half was mainly hair but the second floor had 4 rooms and it was rented out by a bunch of esti’s no management no bosses just 3 estheticians and a nurse injector. they all had their own room and did their own thing no manager no bosses but just sorta worked together. there was a main one who was a bit older and came up with the idea but she was not their boss by any means. It seemed like such a calm environment.
I can’t help but think about how great it would be if a bunch of other estheticians put our brains together and did our own thing.
