22 Blue in 2022: 'THE QUICK LIST'

22 Blue in 2022: 'THE LIST'
Build Supermajorities of Democrats in the US House and US Senate
Here’s “22 Blue in 2022: ‘A Quick List’”:
- Florida 2. Ohio 3. Kansas 4. North Carolina 5. Kentucky 6. Arizona7. South Carolina 8. Georgia 9. Texas 10. Michigan 11. Nevada 12. Pennsylvania13. Missouri 14. Wisconsin 15. Iowa 16. Arkansas 17. Oklahoma 18. Indiana19. Colorado 20. Alabama 21. South Dakota 22. North Dakota
The 2022 Midterm Election is the most important midterm of our lifetime.Democrats must behave as if our lives depend on this midterm, because our future depends on the outcome.
”We the people” must deny the Republican party political power at every level of government for decades to come “in order to create a more perfect union.” With 48 States having some statewide contest(s), November 8th, 2022 is our best chance the Democrats will get to do that for the rest of this decade, at least.
”The List” encourages the election of a Democratic Supermajority in the US Senate in 2022. This is the best chance we will have to create a Democratic Supermajority in both Chambers of Congress for the remainder of this decade. This midterm could be a devastating loss for the democrats if good patriots ignore this election. If Americans of good conscience band together instead, we could could begin the exile of the Republican party from power, not for years, but for decades to come.
“The List” is a set of suggestions about where to focus collective activism today.
The election of Democratic Supermajorities to both chambers of the US Congress is the best outcome we can strive towards in the 2022 Midterm Election for many reasons. Among them: breaking the decade of gridlock in Congress, supporting President Biden’s agenda, and his re-election in 2024. My personal favorite is that this could commence the decades-long political banishment of the GOP from power, which the Republican Party so richly deserves.
The Republican party has proved itself treasonous on many levels. They are traitors to Humanity by supporting Trump. Traitors to the Nation for supporting Putin. Traitors to the government and betrayers of the constitution through their apologies for the 1/6/21 insurrection. To safeguard our country and the world, we must block the Republicans from power at the ballot box, at all levels of government, for at least a generation.
Political game playing may be inevitable among humans. Change the numbers, and then change the rules, if not the game. Cynical refusal to play at this time in history cedes power to NAZIs manipulated by Active Measures. That is a surrender to crypto fascism, not radical thinking, mere cynicism, or hipsterism.
In 2022, Patriots must unify to crush the Republican Party at the ballot box. We can defeat them in every State, at every level. We need the biggest turnout at the voting booth of any Midterm ever. We need to raise more money for candidates and organizations than we did during the entire 2020 campaign season if we are to accomplish this. We need to do this in the next six months.
This is what a “Blue Tsunami” REALLY looks like.
Electing a Democratic Supermajority in Congress is our hope for the future and retribution for America’s enemies. “22 Blue in 2022” is a roadmap to the beginning of that journey. “22 Blue in 2022” is our war plan. ”22 Blue in 2022” is our electoral battle cry. “22 Blue in 2022” is a way forward out of gridlock, a way to non-violently thwart those who would poison the body politic with their hate.
If we don’t try this hard in 2022, Trump will go unpunished and metastasize by 2024.
Resist In Power, my sisters, my brothers, and my others.
Resist Together, and elect a Congressional Supermajority in 2022!

2023.05.28 18:55 Ck_16 Interesting F-14 AWG-9 Diagrams/Charts to Consider (If these are semi-accurate in game!)
2023.05.28 18:24 Greedy_Classic_6659 **DCS MODS** NEED VOLUNTEERS for ALPHA/BETA TESTING/TRIALING of TWO (2) separate LUA-based weapon system projects ** - MIN. REQ. is just being able to fly a jet! read for more info!!!
(
1) INTRODUCTION Hello, my name is
BPT; I am an avid
DCS fan and a hobbyist programmer from Australia, and I am currently in the process of conceptualizing, coding and testing TWO shortlisted concepts that have advanced to the
POCON (
proof of concept) stage for implementation into
DCS and finally released as a publicly available mod. Their development is concurrent with each other. The pair, once complete, would introduce two completely new, unrelated technology systems.
One project is to do with target acquisition and guidance unlike anything currently found in-game, and the other is looking to implement a hybrid seeker-head not currently modelled in
DCS; both have been deemed conceptually possible based on initial evaluations of what LUA can do and that both project concepts have working real-life counterparts. Experimental in-game POCONs exist for both projects.
(2) PURPOSE This effort is meant to have a three-pronged effect: to create 2 mods that I want to use myself, to explore and evaluate the possibilities and/or limitations the LUA API within
DCS to see what is and isn't possible, and if it would be a good choice to use in other projects that haven't materialized beyond a concept yet, or don't exist in
DCS.
Finally, to try and create a small collaboration / mod team that shares the same vision and with a group vision of bringing conceptional/unmodeled systems, behavior and functionality not currently available through
DCS or existing mods.
Its nice when someone releases a new jet with a clickable, custom cockpit but they all tend to be the same thing: a usually-decent external model, complete with custom animations and sometimes new weapon models but under the surface, they are just a remodeled, reskinned F-15 with FC3 functionality, including the same simple fly model and the cockpit from the F-15.
I want to start producing mods that could actually affect gameplay meta, create new options for mission designers, and I just love doing POCON; just proving something is possible is something I very much enjoy doing!
(3) SUITABILITY EVALUATION This will be a thorough evaluation and whether pressing ahead using LUA to advance more of my theory-only concepts into working models that can be implemented into
DCS, can be considered a feasible option.
Hopefully revealed is whether or not a future project could be hindered by a LUA (or even
DCS) limitation when already 10's (or even
100's) of hours have been invested into a project that is simply not possible to execute and destined to fail; its better to abandon these before you become too invested or waste too much time only to find out a technical limitation means its not something doable.
(3) VOLUNTEERING You don't need to be an "expert" to volunteer but
being able to start, taxi, takeoff, fly and land the F-16 and/or FC3 aircraft (F-15 and Flanker, mostly) as well as use their weapons and avionics suite, with even just a
basic level of competence would be the
desired-but-not-required-
minimum expectation of a volunteer interested in involvement with these projects.
Testing involving helicopters has been deemed unnecessary at this point so don't worry if you cant fly/don't own one. Everyone is welcome to volunteer but failing to meet this basic criterion could impede on your ability to be a suitable and useful test pilot, or fill another role if required (WSO, RIO, etc.) as the knowledge on how to pilot would be preferred, even in those roles. Age doesn't matter as long as you act in a mature fashion during testing. Any other project-specific criteria desired/required by interested parties will be listed in the individual project comment thread.
- Also, for anyone interested in these projects but are unable/unwilling to participate during in-game tests - veteran sim pilots who have uninstalled, for example - if you would regard yourself as highly knowledgeable about DCS and still wish to have involvement, your knowledge base, being technical or trivia, could be of just as much assistance to development, too:
- technical perspective (like understanding LUA or just general DCS modding; 'tinkerers' absolutely apply as even if your strength isn't writing new code, you can definitely contribute to any troubleshooting/debugging efforts - even if you no longer play the game!)
- excellent DCS trivia-type knowledge (exactly which weapons are available on what plane by default, who has the 'strongest' radar, which aircraft can exceed Mach 2, etc etc. - you know the game like the back of your hand but you might not have any experience in coding or mod development)
Please express your interest as having a pool of players to make up the "
think-tank" of a project and also
to fulfill the role of aggressotest pilots, both groups required for operating, interacting with, testing, analyzing results and to be able to optimally tweak the systems based on code behavior and in-game feedback. Both projects are still within a brain-storming and input-friendly phase, both with working prototypes/
POCONs for each project so now is a good time to join the teams for these projects; you will have a large amount of noted input in how you would like the development process to operate and progress.
I'm currently writing up briefs for the two projects and they will be posted in this thread, as two separate comments
so please reply to the comment thread relevant to the project you are interested in volunteering for - this isn't a hard and fast rule; I'm not going to ban you from participation if you express interest in the wrong place (hell, even PM me if you want!) but it does make it a lot easier for me to organize and manage.
(4) PROJECTS These two concepts - known respectively as '
Project RAADAR-ECHO' and '
Project RADIIHOTRADGS' - were selected to advance to a POCAN stage because they will rely heavily on
DCS's integration of LUA - utilizing a
wide range of its capabilities - in order to achieve desired functionality and behavior as intended, so completion of these projects should offer significant insight into what LUA in
DCS can do.
Without the utilization of LUA, neither of the two concepts mentioned here could be modeled in an even remotely possible sense; the required functionality is just too advanced and cant be done unless LUA is involved, and the decision to to see if
DCS's implementation of LUA could lend highly advanced behaviofunctionality to "new technology" mods was done for for
three key reasons:
Firstly, to take advantage of a native
DCS "system" when compared to other approaches, is the most likely to be workable on a practical level and be able to produce the wanted results in something like an advanced weapon system mod, as opposed to using another "system", like the Mission Editor and trying to create the same thing using triggers.
Eventually, you hit a technical limitation and your idea becomes "technically impossible"; hopefully the limitations of the LUA engine in
DCS don't preclude these two concepts from materializing into functional, publicly-available mods. The use of LUA is what provides access to enhanced capabilities and functionality to try and (re)create these systems and turn a proof of concept into a reality.
Secondly, these two projects were shortlisted from a long list of ideas on the backburner which are held back by standard technical limitations and would require a script-based system to function; these two concepts have been selected to advance to trial projects: they were chosen because they shouldn't be *
too* difficult to model and implement working versions of both.
Across the two projects, there's a wide enough use of different functions used in different contexts to be able to gauge and evaluate the practicality and suitability of using LUA to create more of the complex and novel systems I have planned in a conceptual stage, all whilst outputting two high quality mods that I believe
DCS players would enjoy and would want to use.
Lastly, if I want to (re)create or emulate something complicated enough that it cant be achieved in the Mission Editor or the like, LUA would be the only option I try as I don't want any mods created by me to require anything that isn't common to a standard
DCS mod: if any third-party addons/packages/HUDs/exe's are deemed to be required/necessary to bring a concept to life, it will be shelved in favor of one that doesn't, and until a new solution requiring nothing but
DCS makes itself known.
(5) TO CONCLUDE It may be upto 24-hours before I am able to post the project briefs; I am extremely busy for the next 20 or so hours, then I'll have a good amount of downtime so based on that, I'm not going to rush writing them to keep them clear and concise to anyone who's interested in what they've read about here. Feel free to express your interest below as it gives me a good idea for numbers; please mention in your expression of interest if you have
FC3 / F-16 or not - cheers!
I really hope their are some interested parties as this kind of development can be
slooooww with only one person (me! lol) doing all the coding and all the testing/troubleshooting, and I'd love to get these finished, polished and released!
Kind regards, -

2023.05.28 17:00 mduda59625 A Complete Guide to Moving to the Sunshine State
Moving to a new state can be both exciting and overwhelming, especially if you’re relocating to a state as diverse and unique as Florida. Known for its beautiful beaches, warm climate, and vibrant culture, Florida is a popular destination for people of all ages looking for a fresh start.
Whether you’re moving to Florida for work, retirement, or just a change of scenery, it’s important to do your research and plan ahead to ensure a smooth transition. In this complete guide to relocating to Florida, we’ll cover everything you need to know to make your move as stress-free as possible.
Why Move to Florida?
Before we dive into the logistics of moving to Florida, let’s first explore some of the reasons why this state is such a popular destination. Here are just a few of the many reasons why you might want to consider moving to the Sunshine State:
- Beautiful beaches: With over 1,200 miles of coastline, Florida is home to some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. From the Gulf Coast to the Atlantic Coast, there’s no shortage of stunning beach towns to explore.
- Warm climate: If you’re tired of shoveling snow and scraping ice off your windshield, you’ll love Florida’s warm climate. With an average temperature of 70 degrees Fahrenheit in the winter, you can enjoy outdoor activities year-round.
- No state income tax: Florida is one of just a handful of states that doesn’t have a state income tax, which means you can keep more of your hard-earned money in your pocket.
- Vibrant culture: From the art deco architecture of Miami Beach to the Cuban-inspired cuisine of Tampa, Florida is a melting pot of cultures and influences. No matter where you live in the state, you’re sure to find something unique and exciting to explore.
Planning Your Move to Florida
Once you’ve decided that Florida is the right state for you, it’s time to start planning your move. Here are some key steps to follow to ensure a smooth transition:
- Research your new city or town: Florida is a big state with a lot of different regions and cities to choose from. Before you commit to a specific area, take the time to research your options and visit in person if possible. Consider factors like cost of living, job opportunities, and proximity to family and friends.
- Hire a reputable moving company: Moving to a new state is a big undertaking, and it’s important to have a reliable moving company on your side. Consider using a company that specializes in driving U-Haul and Penske trucks, such as found at the MovingTruckDriver website, to ensure that your belongings arrive safely and on time.
- Get your finances in order: Moving to a new state can be expensive, so it’s important to have your finances in order before you make the move. Create a budget to account for expenses like moving costs, rent or mortgage payments, and utilities.
- Update your address and contact information: Before you move, make sure to update your address and contact information with your bank, credit card companies, and other important organizations.
- Pack strategically: When packing for your move, be sure to pack strategically to make the unpacking process easier. Label boxes clearly and consider packing items that you’ll need right away in a separate box.
Finding Housing in Florida
Moving to a new state can be overwhelming, especially when it comes to finding a new place to live. In Florida, there are many unique housing options to choose from, ranging from apartments and condos to single-family homes and beachfront properties. The key to finding the perfect housing option for you is to do your research and be prepared to act quickly.
One option for finding housing in Florida is to work with a local real estate agent. A good agent can help you navigate the local housing market and provide insight into different neighborhoods and areas that may suit your needs. They can also help you with the paperwork and negotiation process, making the process of finding a new home as smooth as possible.
If you prefer to search for housing on your own, there are many online resources available to help you find a new place to live. Popular websites like Zillow, Trulia, and Realtor.com allow you to search for properties in specific areas and filter your search results based on criteria like price, number of bedrooms and bathrooms, and more.
It’s important to keep in mind that the housing market in Florida can be competitive, especially in popular areas like Miami and Orlando. To increase your chances of finding the perfect home, be prepared to act quickly and make an offer as soon as you find a property that you love.
Dealing with Logistics
Moving to a new state can be a logistical nightmare, but with the right planning and preparation, you can minimize the stress and ensure a smooth transition. Here are some tips for dealing with the logistics of moving to Florida:
- Hire a reputable moving company: Whether you’re moving across the state or across the country, it’s important to choose a reputable moving company to help you transport your belongings. Consider utilizing a moving service that specializes in driving U-Haul and Penske trucks such as MovingTruckDriver.com to ensure a safe and efficient move.
- Change your address: Be sure to change your address with the United States Postal Service at least two weeks before your move. This will ensure that your mail is forwarded to your new address.
- Transfer your utilities: Contact your current utility providers to arrange for your services to be disconnected at your old address and connected at your new address.
- Register your vehicle: If you’re bringing your vehicle with you to Florida, you’ll need to register it with the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles within 10 days of establishing residency.
Checklist for Moving to Florida
If you’re planning a move to Florida, use this checklist to ensure that you have everything you need for a smooth transition:
- Research the cost of living in different areas of Florida
- Determine your budget for housing and other expenses
- Find a reputable moving company to help you transport your belongings

2023.05.28 16:49 swampynoooodle Jedi Fallen Order was a slug
Let me pre-phase these by saying that I am neither fan or hater of Star Wars movies, I watched them all, enjoyed some of them and did not enjoy others, but never had too much hatred towards one or the other movie or trilogy.
The game:
Intro and Last Mission were great, everything else was bad.
Game tries to be two things at the same time while not accomplishing any of it.
Small things that piss you off.
Intro and the Last Mission were the highlight, the intro pulls you in, because its a compelling story about a new character. However with the first mission it descends into a boring and derivative story and gameplay. For instance the missions are structed such that going from point A to point B has no inherited plot in it. It's just a mechanic. All of the game plot happens in the cut scenes. You actively playing the game is just you going through motions.
The game is trying to be two things at the same time while not accomplishing any of it. The game tries to be a Tom Raide Uncharted + Hints on open world type of game like GTA 5. So the game mechanics and puzzles are direct link between Tomb Raider and Uncharted. While in Tomb Raider and Uncharted the climbing and puzzle solving is somewhat integrated into the plot of the game, in Fallen Order its just a gimmicky mechanic that allows you to either open a door or a passage, but generally speaking has no meaning. It feels meaningless since you are not doing this to progress the plot, you are doing it to get to a point B on the map. Game also hints on maps being explorable beyond the mission, however due to that they its more of an obstacle rather then a feature. Instead of the map being a linear experience like in Tomb Raider of Uncharted maps in Fallen Order are multi leveled and multi routed. However, you can take a wrong turn and realize that you have to go through all of the motions again just to get back to the place that you just started. So most of the game feels like running in circles wasting your time, trying to just get to the point on the map.
Little things that piss you off.
There is no radar on the interface.
In order to check the map you constantly have to spam a button. There are no clear markings where to go. In Uncharted and Tomb Raider even in most confusing puzzles there was paint or markings on the walls that made it clear were to go and what direction to take. In Fallen Order the map design blends everything together. So sometimes you are taking a wrong turn just because the map looks identical in both forward and backward direction.
There is no way to skip through the cutscenes.
And there is no autosave feature. So the only way to save is to reach a checkpoint and do something at the checkpoint like rest or use your skill points. That will force the game to save creating a save checkpoint. Its never clearly indicated therefore if you don't save often you can potentially lose progression. Or if your cat steps on your power bar and your pc turns off you will lose all the progression. And again you cannot skip cutscenes. Therefore if you forgot to save you have to watch again all of the derivative plot again.
After reaching your B destination you have to return to ship. So it means that after going from point A to point B you have to backtrack to point A again. There are some shortcuts but you still have to get to them, and for some reason all enemies that you defeated to reach point B respawn. So essentially exploration is punished by the fact that you will have to backtrack to your ship at the and anyway. Wasting so much of your time.
So in the end, the game feels like waste of time. The negative moments overwhelm the positives so much that I cannot recommend the game to people that value their gaming time.

2023.05.28 13:06 JustBoatTrash Few Homebuyers Looking To Move Out Of Town, Even Fewer Interested in Local Moves
https://www.investopedia.com/more-homebuyers-staying-put-7504743 The great pandemic reshuffle, which sent work-at-home buyers searching for their ideal towns, is settling down, as high mortgage rates and home prices persuade more potential homebuyers to stay put for now.
The number of Americans looking to move to a different part of the country is down 6% from a year earlier. In 2022, the number of Americans looking to relocate increased to 23%. The decrease over the last year is a symbol of just how much the housing market has cooled.
The number is even lower for those who are looking to move within the town they already live in, a 17% drop from the year before. As fewer Americans look to sell and purchase homes are faced with higher mortgage rates and home prices, the overall homebuying pie is smaller than it was this time last year, according to a Redfin report.
Both figures have fallen over the last year as the number of homebuyers in the U.S. declines, with sales dropping 22% from a year earlier in April. Still, a record 25.2% of Redfin users nationwide are looking to relocate, up from 22.8% last year. Many buyers are looking to leave their hometown or move to more affordable areas, such as migration from Los Angeles to Los Vegas or New York to Tampa.
High mortgage rates are less of a deterrent for those moving from more expensive areas to those with lower costs of living, the Redfin analysis found. For first-time buyers, lower costs of living in certain areas may even encourage moving to a different part of the country.
Sun Belt Cities Attracting Out-of-State Buyers
Phoenix and Miami are the most popular destinations for homebuyers looking to relocate, followed by Las Vegas, Tampa and Orlando. Five of the top 10 destinations are in Florida, and nearly all of them are in the Sun Belt. Florida was the fastest growing state in 2022, with warm weather, affordable areas of the state and low taxes enticing those from out-of-state.
With remote work and continued rising costs in coastal cities like San Francisco, Seattle or New York, Sun Belt destinations have grown more popular since the pandemic. New York is the most common origin for homebuyers moving to top destinations in Florida.
But with fewer homebuyers in the market generally and lowered inventory, the net inflow of homebuyers into Miami, for instance, is about 7,500 today, down from nearly 13,000 a year ago. The net inflow into Tampa is about 6,000 now, compared with about 9,000 a year ago, according to the report.
“About half of the people buying homes here are from out of town, and some are able to pay cash,” said Orlando Redfin Premier agent Nicole Dege. “That’s making it difficult for some locals to get their offers accepted, especially because many people have limited budgets due to high mortgage rates and there are so few homes coming on the market. Even though fewer people are coming in from out of town, there are also fewer homes for sale.”

2023.05.28 10:02 Rea-wakey M746 - Motion to Condemn the State of Florida
Motion to Condemn the State of Florida
The House recognises: - The US State of Florida has in recent months passed several laws which are discriminatory towards transgender and gender non-conforming people.
- These laws are an attempt to suppress and exterminate transgender and gender non-conforming people in the State of Florida and fall under the definition of "trans genocide".
- Many other of the states within the United States are implementing, or are attempting to implement, similar laws that will impact the lives of transgender and gender non-conforming people in said states and could also fall under the definition of "trans genocide".
- These laws are unacceptable in a modern society and are in contravention of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
Therefore, the House urges: 5) The relevant Secretary(s) of State to issue a statement condemning the State of Florida and the state's governor, Ron DeSantis, and the governments and governors of other states, for their actions against transgender and gender non-conforming people.
6) Contact the incumbent governing administration in the United States and inform them of our stance on this issue and urge them to combat these laws and create protections for transgender and gender non-conforming people in the United States.
7) Impose a travel bulletin advising British transgender and gender non-conforming people to not travel to the State of Florida except for extraordinary circumstances or for onward travel purposes.
8) Set up a program to provide safe haven to transgender and gender non-conforming people from the United States, and other countries with highly restrictive laws on transgender and gender non-conforming people, under the asylum system.
This motion was submitted by Rt Hon Baroness Finn of Willenhall (model-finn) CMG MVO PC MS as a Private Member’s Motion Opening Speech Deputy Speaker, As a trans person, it sickens me to see what is happening across the pond in the state of Florida. Once a proud state, where the liberty that is espoused in the United States Constitution is enacted to a great degree has become a dangerous place for those of us in the transgender community.
The incumbent 46th Governor of Florida, Ron DeSantis and his cronies in the Republican Party of Florida have introduced and implemented laws that have made it all but illegal to be transgender in the state of Florida, allows the families of trans people to be detained for child abuse and prevents trans people, including trans youth, from accessing gender affirming healthcare. This. Is. A. Disgrace, Deputy Speaker.
The land of Disney World - a place of magic and fun has become a bleak place for its transgender community, many of whom are minors or erstwhile vulnerable and cannot leave the state to seek a better life in a different place in the country.
Unfortunately, this is not confined to the State of Florida. 18 other states have laws in place which make it significantly more difficult and dangerous to be a transgender person within those states, and a further 8 have bills in their legislatures that may do the same soon. Deputy Speaker, that is 26 of the 50 states of the United States of America. Over half of them. The USA is becoming an unsafe place for trans people to simply exist as we want to exist.
I am therefore urging the government to issue a statement condemning this genocide against the transgender community in Florida, and in the other states and to express our disdain for the state of trans rights in the USA to its current administration.
I am also asking the Foreign Office to impose a travel bulletin for trans people in Britain to not travel to Florida except in circumstances such as family emergency or for onward travel, such as a connecting flight to a destination outside of Florida.
Furthemore, I am requesting that the Foreign Office extend the asylum system to allow for seekers to claim asylum for fear of prosecution over their gender identity, with normal criteria for claiming asylum also applying, such as establishing a fear of return to their nation of origin.
Deputy Speaker, I hope the whole House will join with me in supporting this motion.
This debate will end at 10pm on the 31st May. submitted by

2023.05.28 09:45 Cicasajt Feedback from a warframe player
hi.
i have played warframe for many years and i got bored of it so i gave a try to destiny 2 and im deeply disappointed. i put 50 hours in it now and most of it was spent trying to figure out how it is supposed to be fun and trying to find content. here are the things i noticed after 50 hours:
lack of gameplay content
weapons look very cool but they all feel the same
there is a lack of weapon customization
fast travel is not fast because it has a loading screen
cant fast travel to npcs
cant find a reason to use kinetic weapons
ammo is sparse
abilities are underwhelming with huge cooldowns
weapon perks cant really be changed
menu is a mess
there is so much loading in this game. in warframe you can load any mission within seconds but here just going to the tower takes 30-60 seconds
free content is even more limited
dlcs are overpriced
npcs wont shut up if u are near them
enemies lack diversity
movement is very limited and whacky
lack of minimap
radar disappears when aiming
destination maps are bad
character customization is vague
cant use multiple exotics
settings options just lack everything
im sure if i gave it more time i could make the list longer but this is it for now.
to me the game looks like an alpha or early beta game. lack of real content. plenty of half-finished, empty systems. missing every quality of life possible. the story i wouldnt call a story. and god i hate that sub zero zavala guy. the voice actor has a nice voice but this is the worst voice acting i have heard in my entire life. it hurts to listen to it.
if you think there is anything to check out to change my opinion on the game please let me know. tho i feel like whatever gameplay there still is to offer to me just playing and navigating in the menu is an overall unpleasant, obnoxious experience.

2023.05.28 04:51 Junior_Button5882 11 Terrifying-But-True Horror Stories Reported in the News - From fatal exorcisms to unexplained deaths and devil worship—these are some real-life nightmares.
A terrifying
movie or
book or
show gets your blood pumping in the moment of consumption, sure—we covered our eyes in
Squid Game with the rest of the world. But for the most part, you rest easy afterward knowing that what you've witnessed is fiction, deliberately spun up to creep you out. When the real world gets eerier than anything
Stephen King could dream up,
that's when you have every right to get a little scared of the dark.
Once in a while, a story of a dreadful disappearance, demonic possession, or devil worship will land in the local paper instead of a pulpy old paperback. We've rounded up the most unnerving real-life tales below. In honor of spooky season, here are eleven we can't stop thinking about.
The Axe Murder House
The Villisca Axe Murder House in Villisca, Iowa is a well-known tourist attraction for ghost hunters and horror lovers alike. The site of a gruesome unsolved 1912 murder, in which six children and two adults had their skulls completely crushed by the axe of an unknown perpetrator, was purchased in 1994, restored to its 1912 condition, and converted into a tourist destination. It costs $428 a night to
stay at the old haunted home, where visitors always report strange paranormal experiences, such as visions of a man with an axe roaming the halls or the faint screams of children.
But in November of 2014, the haunting took a darker turn. Robert Steven Laursen Jr., 37, of Rhinelander, Wisconsin was on a regular recreational paranormal visit with friends when true horror struck. Per
VICE:
His companions found him stabbed in the chest—an apparently self-inflicted wound—called 9-1-1, and Laursen was brought to a nearby hospital before being helicoptered to Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office
said Laursen suffered the self-inflicted injury at about 12:45 a.m., which is around the same time the 1912 axe murders in the house began.
Laursen recovered from his injuries, but has never spoken publicly about what occurred that day. For Martha Linn, the owner of the home, the incident was very upsetting. "It's publicity, but it's not exactly the kind of publicity you desire to have. I don't want people thinking that when they come to the Villisca Axe Murder House something's going to happen that's going to make them do something like that.” The house remains open for tourist visits and overnight stays today.

The Haunted Doll
When you think of haunted dolls, it’s likely the creepy old Victorian-looking porcelain kind that springs to mind. None of which you probably have laying around. Still, don’t get too comfortable around any kids toys too soon, though: a Disney’s
Frozen Elsa doll that was gifted for Christmas 2013 in the Houston area made headlines earlier this year when it seemingly became haunted.
Per
KPRC2 Houston News: The doll recited phrases from the movie Frozen and sang “Let It Go” when a button on its necklace was pressed.
“For two years it did that in English,” mother Emily Madonia said. “In 2015, it started doing it alternating between Spanish and English. There wasn’t a button that changed these, it was just random."
The family has owned the doll for more than six years and never changed its batteries. The mother says the doll would randomly begin to speak and sing even with its switch turned off.
The family decided to throw the creepy doll out in December of 2019. Weeks later, they found it inside a bench in their living room. “The kids insisted they didn’t put it there, and I believed them because they wouldn’t have dug through the garbage outside,” Madonia told KPRC2 Houston News.

JOIN NOW At that point, Elsa ceased to sing the English rendition of “Let It Go” altogether, speaking only Spanish when pressed. The family then double-bagged the bizarre doll and placed it at the bottom of their garbage which was taken out on garbage day. They went on a trip shortly after, but when they returned, Elsa too had come back, and was waiting in the backyard of their home.
This time, the family mailed Elsa to a family friend in Minnesota, who taped the haunted doll to the front bumper of his truck. It doesn’t seem to have made its way back to Houston yet, as per Madonia’s latest February Facebook
update on the creepy doll.
A Deadly Exorcism
In August 2016 in North London, 26-year-old Kennedy Ife began acting strange and aggressive following a pain in his throat. He reportedly bit his father, threatened to cut off his own penis, and complained of a python or snake inside of him before his family restrained him to a bed with cable ties and excessive force.
As the BBC
reported:
“The family then set about attempting to ‘cure’ Kennedy through restraint and prayer over the next three days, the court was told.”
His brother, Colin Ife,
told police:
“It’s clear that thing was in him, what we believed was a demon because it was not natural. It was clearly trying to kill him,” he said.
“We had to restrain him for himself. It was clear if we didn’t restrain him, he could have tried to harm people in our family.”
Kennedy Ife had been bound to his bed for three days without medical attention when his brother called emergency services, explaining that Kennedy Ife was complaining of dehydration. He appeared to have developed breathing issues, and was pronounced dead at 10:17 a.m.
As The Independent
reported:
While police were at the house Colin Ife allegedly carried out an “attempted resurrection” by chanting and praying for Mr. Ife.
All seven of Kennedy Ife’s family members were accused of manslaughter, false imprisonment, and causing or allowing the death of a vulnerable adult. A post-mortem examination revealed over 60 wounds including a possible bite on Kennedy Ife’s body, and his father, Kenneth Ife, along with four of his brothers, sustained injuries as well.

The BBC
reported:
Kenneth Ife told jurors he ordered his sons to take shifts and use "overwhelming force" but denied that an "association with cults, occults and secret societies" played any part in the death.
After a four day
jury deliberation, all seven family members were cleared of charges on March 14, 2019.

Dead Animals in the Walls
When the Bretzuis family decided to insulate their home in Auburn, Pennsylvania in 2015, they discovered that it had already been—with scores of dead animal carcasses.
As Fox
reported:
The dead animals were wrapped in newspapers from the 1930s and 40s and were among half-used spices, and other items.
After removing the items they sent hundreds of artifacts and carcasses to an expert in Kutztown.
The expert attributed the rotting animals in their walls to Pow-wow or Dutch magic, a ritual originating in the culture of the Pennsylvania Dutch to treat ailments and gain physical and spiritual protection. The Pennsylvania Dutch were a group of German-speaking settlers to Pennsylvania in the 1600 and 1700’s, and are often of Lutheran, Mennonite, or Amish faiths.
The Washington Post
notes on the magic:
Many of the spells deal with the care of livestock, finding water, or the treatment of minor ailments, reflecting the conditions and concerns of early American settlers.
But powwow also has within it a tradition of darker spells, and even of such things as conjuring demons.
One notable ritual in their tradition is this
hex to create loyalty in a dog:
To attach a dog to a person, provided nothing else was used before to effect it: Try to draw some of your blood, and let the dog eat it along with his food, and he will stay with you.
The mold found on the rotting carcasses in the Bretzuis home has caused illness among the family members, and they say that the odor hasn’t gone away.

Florida Devil Worshipping
Friends noticed that Danielle Harkins, a 35-year-old schoolteacher near St. Petersburg, Florida, started acting strangely in June of 2012, developing an interest in demonic rituals.
Soon after, she was arrested for abuse of seven of her former students, as the Tampa Bay Times
reported:
Danielle Harkins told the kids they needed to rid their bodies of demons as the group gathered before dusk Saturday around a small fire near the St. Petersburg Pier. They should cut their skin to let the evil spirits out, police said she told the children. Then, they needed to burn the wounds to ensure that those spirits would not return.
When Harkins held a lighter to one teen's hand, wind blew the flame out, police said. That prompted her to douse his hand in perfume before setting it on fire. The boy suffered second-degree burns, police said.
Another teen was cut on the neck with a broken bottle, police said. Harkins used a flame to heat a small key, which she then used to cauterize the wound.
The police were notified because a friend of one of the students who participated in the ritual raised alarms. However none of the students themselves told their parents about the event or would comment following the arrest of Harkins for aggravated battery and child abuse.
NBC
reported:
Investigators said they've spoken to Harkins, but she didn't spell out what type of religion would require such drastic measures.
"She hasn't informed us exactly what she was trying to accomplish with this," Puetz [of the St. Petersburg Police Department] said.
The Death of Elisa Lam
Elisa Lam was last seen on January 31, 2013 in the lobby of the Cecil Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. She was vacationing through the West Coast, documenting the trip on her blog, and checking in with her parents every day. On January 31 those calls stopped. Lam had vanished. Soon the police were involved and her parents arrived to help with the search.
They had nothing. That February, LAPD released elevator surveillance footage of Lam before her disappearance. The footage shows Lam behaving strangely in the elevator, appearing to talk with invisible people, peering around the corner of the door, crouching in the corner, and opening and closing the door. But what exactly is going on in this video raises more questions than answers. Theories range from psychotic episodes, to demonic possession, to unknown assailants just out of the camera's view:

Around that time, hotel guests started reported weird things happening with the Cecil Hotel water supply. As
CNN reports:
Advertisement - Continue Reading Below
"The shower was awful," said Sabina Baugh, who spent eight days there during the investigation. "When you turned the tap on, the water was coming black first for two seconds and then it was going back to normal."The tap water "tasted horrible," Baugh said. "It had a very funny, sweety, disgusting taste. It's a very strange taste. I can barely describe it."But for a week, they never complained. "We never thought anything of it," she said. "We thought it was just the way it was here."
On the morning of February 19, a hotel employee climbed to the roof and used a ladder to investigate the hotel's water storage tanks. That's where authorities found the decomposing, naked body of Lam, whose personal items were found nearby. After an autopsy, her death was labeled accidental.
NBC Los Angeles reported at the time about the strange circumstances in the hotel's past:
The tank has a metal latch that can be opened, but authorities said access to the roof is secured with an alarm and lock. The single-room-occupancy hotel has an unusual history. "Night Stalker" Richard Ramirez, who was found guilty of 14 slayings in the 1980s, lived on the 14th floor for several months in 1985. And international serial killer Jack Unterweger is suspected of murdering three prostitutes during the time he lived there in 1991. He killed himself in jail in 1994.In 1962, a female occupant jumped out of one the hotel's windows, killing herself and a pedestrian on whom she landed.
In February 2021, a
Netflix doc called
Crime Scene: The Vanishing at the Cecil Hotel explored Elisa's tragic case and the history of the
"cursed" Cecil Hotel.
An Exorcism in Indianapolis
Last year, the
Indianapolis Star published a lengthy report on a family terrorized by three children allegedly possessed by demons. The account of Latoya Ammons and her family tells disturbing stories of children climbing up the walls, getting thrown across rooms, and children threatening doctors in deep unnatural voices. It would seem like something straight out of a movie–a work of fantasy, except all of these accounts were more or less corroborated with "nearly 800 pages of official records obtained by the Indianapolis Star and recounted in more than a dozen interviews with police, DCS personnel, psychologists, family members and a Catholic priest."
One of the more chilling sections of the report includes a segment about the possessed 9-year-old:
According to Washington's original DCS report—an account corroborated by Walker, the nurse—the 9-year-old had a "weird grin" and walked backward up a wall to the ceiling. He then flipped over Campbell, landing on his feet. He never let go of his grandmother's hand.
Another segment of the piece reads:
The 12-year-old would later tell mental health professionals that she sometimes felt as if she were being choked and held down so she couldn't speak or move. She said she heard a voice say she'd never see her family again and wouldn't live another 20 minutes.

Utah Murder-Suicide
In September of 2014, a Utah teen returned to his home to find his parents and three siblings dead. "In a notebook, a 'to-do list' had been scribbled on the pages ... The list looked as if the parents were readying to go on vacation—items such as 'feed the pets' and 'find someone to watch after the house' were written,"
The Salt Lake Tribune reported. It appeared to be murder-suicide, but there was no suicide note, no prior indication that they would do this, no explanation. Police could not figure out why two parents would kill themselves and three of their four children.
For a year, no one knew exactly what happened to the family, or what would drive the parents to do something so unthinkable. In January, police released more chilling details in the case. According to accounts from family members and an investigation by police, the parents were driven by a belief that the apocalypse was coming and an obsession with a convicted killer. As the
Washington Post reported:
Friends and family told police that the parents were worried about the "evil in the world" and wanted to escape a "pending apocalypse." But most assumed they just wanted to move somewhere "off the grid." Investigators also found letters written by Kristi Strack to one of the state's most infamous convicted killers, Dan Lafferty, who was convicted in the 1984 fatal stabbing of his sister-in-law and her 1-year-old daughter. According to trial testimony, he killed the victims at the order of his brother, Ron Lafferty, who claimed to have had a revelation from God. The story became a book called "Under the Banner of Heaven."Police said Kristi Strack became friends with Dan Lafferty, and she and her husband even visited him in prison.
The Phone Stalker
In 2007,
ABC news documented a series of cell phone calls to families with terrifyingly specific death threats. The unidentified callers knew exactly what families were doing and what they were wearing.
The families say the calls come in at all hours of the night, threatening to kill their children, their pets and grandparents. Voice mails arrive, playing recordings of their private conversations, including one with a local police detective. The caller knows, the families said, what they're wearing and what they're doing. And after months of investigating, police seem powerless to stop them.
This went on with the Kuykenall family for months, who reported a caller with a scratchy voice threatening to slit their throats.
When the Fircrest, Wash., police tried to find the culprit, the calls were traced back to the Kuykendalls' own phones -- even when they were turned off.It got worse. The Kuykendalls and two other Fircrest families told ABC News that they believe the callers are using their cell phones to spy on them. They say the hackers know their every move: where they are, what they're doing and what they're wearing. The callers have recorded private conversations, the families and police said, including a meeting with a local detective.
"The Watcher"
After moving into their $1.3 million dream home, a New Jersey family started receiving creepy death threats from someone who identified themselves as "The Watcher." As
CBS News reported earlier this year:
Advertisement - Continue Reading Below
Since moving in, the owners said they have received numerous letters from the mysterious person. "The Watcher" claimed the home "has been the subject of my family for decades," and "I have been put in charge of watching and waiting for its second coming," Castro reported. The new owners have several children, and other letters asked, "Have they found out what's in the walls yet?" and "I am pleased to know your names now, and the name of the young blood you have brought to me."
The family was forced to flee from their home and later filed a lawsuit against the previous owners.
Issei the Cannibal
In 1974, 24-year-old Wako University student Issei Sagawa allegedly followed a German woman to her home in Tokyo, Japan, broke into her apartment while she was sleeping, and attempted to cut a piece of flesh off her body to consume. When she awoke, she reportedly fought him and he was later captured by the police. According to a 2012
Vice documentary that covered Issei's bizarre story, he was mistakenly charged with attempted rape and his wealthy father paid the victim a settlement outside of court to have the charges dropped.
Seven years later, in 1981, he allegedly committed a murder in France—shooting and eating a fellow University student, Renée Hartevelt. Issei creepily documented the entire experience with photographs and he was captured by authorities once again while attempting to dump the rest of her body in the Bois de Boulogne lake. He was deported back to Japan and committed to a mental institution. For reason unknown, his psychologists in Japan declared that he was sane. Furthermore, a legal technicality involving the French government refusing to turn over the documents from his case meant that his murder charges were dropped completely. He checked himself out of the mental hospital and has reportedly been walking the streets as a free man ever since. Issei has even become a controversial celebrity, writing over 20 books. According to
Japan Today, he most recently fantasized about an unnamed TV actress, saying:
"I'll catch a glimpse of her thigh and think, 'That sure looks tasty.' But I don't feel like I actually want to eat it. As I accomplished the act of cannibalism once, there's no meaning to maintaining the desire for it anymore. In my book, I wrote that it [human flesh] was tasty, but that was not really true; I'd much rather eat Matsuzaka (Kobe) beef. But because I'd desired to consume human flesh for so long, I'd managed to convince myself that it would necessarily be delicious." Issei Sagawa was also referenced in the Rolling Stones song "Too Much Blood," with the lyrics reading: "And when he ate her he took her bones/To the Bois de Boulogne." He is
currently 73 years old and continues to live in Kawaski City, Japan. To this day, no one knows why France did not allow Japan to give him a trial.

2023.05.27 19:00 Future_Vehicle_8307 22 Blue in 2022: 'THE QUICK LIST'

2023.05.27 17:07 smewthies US East Coast Beach? (LGBT friendly)
Wanting to go to a beach on the east coast, driving starting from the Cincinnati area. Can’t fly- boyfriend is undocumented. We won’t go to Florida and want somewhere friendly to Hispanic people as well as LGBTQ+ people. He hasn’t traveled much or at least to the beach except in El Salvador. I used to love Destin but will not currently spend any money in Florida. I did enjoy the white beach and clear water but realize clear water is more rare on the east coast, at least that’s been my experience.
I’ve been to Myrtle Beach as well as Rockaway Beach in NYC. Myrtle Beach was when I was younger, but from what I remember I enjoy it. From what I read it seems to be a tourist trap though? Probably wouldn’t mind going again.
Our interests include just relaxing at the beach/swimming in the ocean, trying different foods, especially authentic Hispanic food, food trucks, etc, and going through neat little gift shops, and small towns with shops and restaurants.
I was thinking Myrtle Beach but Charleston seems nice if we stay at Sullivan’s Island, just not sure about LGBT friendliness of any of the beaches on the East Coast. And would probably prefer the Carolinas or Virginia. But now looking at it, Rockaway Beach is the same distance as Myrtle Beach so could be good in July when it’s hot?
Hell, may even do Put In Bay or somewhere in Michigan. I know the water is cold up there though!
Thanks in advance!

2023.05.27 07:00 -NotTakenUsername ESPhome/ESP32 Doppler Radar motion sensor compatibility
Hello! I'm building a project that involves a motion sensor. At first I wanted to use a PIR sensor but I needed more range. As such, I discovered the doppler radar motion sensor. However, I have no clue how compatible it is with the ESPhome. Here is an amazon link to the specific one I'm looking at:
https://a.co/d/atswFlq How do I connect this? Bonus if you know anything about how susceptible it is to interference from leaves moving around, wind, and rain and if range is affected by the material put in front of it (particularily PLA vs 1/8in plexiglass) Thank you so much!

2023.05.26 19:48 CharlieGoodTimes Seeking Help. I’m losing my mind after no answers for 3 years
I would like to start off by apologizing for this text wall. I have been to countless doctors and specialists the past 3 years doing nothing but tests of all sorts. I spend every single day worrying about my health and completing ocd routines to make myself not get “sick”. It’s exhausting to say the least. I am going to be as detailed as humanly possible and I’m sorry if it seems like I am rambling.
I am a 28 year old male, I weigh roughly 215 pounds and just over 6 ft tall. I have been obese/morbidly obese my whole life until 2021. At my biggest, I was roughly 360 pounds. Since a child I have had asthma, depression, anxiety, and OCD. I haven’t treated the asthma in years, but I feel as if I might need to again.
DX: - -Asthma
- -Chronic Sinusitis (confirmed on multiple MRI’s across a 3 year span)
- -Panic Disorder, GAD, OCD, PTSD (Possible Convergence Disorder)
- -Still currently testing for neurological/autoimmune disorder
- -Bilateral Intermediate Granulomatous Uveitis
- -Vitamin D Deficiency
Other possible relevant medical instances
- -Two concussions
- Dart was lodged in my back when I was 17
- Either stung by scorpion or bit by spider in my sleep which resulted in enlarged arm and severe pain
- Possible overdose on clenbuterol in high school when someone gave me a full syringe full to “lose weight”.
My medications I take include… - Omeprazole 20 mg (Tapering from 40 mg) ED
- Lorazepam .5 mg as needed
- Prednisolone Acetate Suspension Drops ED
- Flonase
- Vitamin D3
Smoking Status: - 1 pack a day from 18-22
- Heavy vape user from 22-28 (Quit 3 months ago)
Past Drug Use: - Cannabis: Heavy user for about 7 years
- Alcohol: binge drinker throughout college. After graduation social/weekend drinker. Currently I rarely drink
- Cocaine: somewhat regular for 3 years in college. Mainly weekends. Also sprinkled it on marijuana blunts so I guess I technically smoked crack
- Nitrous/LSD/Shrooms/Ecstasy: occasional I would say, but not recreational. Off and on for a couple years in college
- I have done no recreational drugs in the past 5-6 years
In 2020 my anxiety and panic disorder got extremely out of hand during the beginning of Covid and right after the death of my little sister.
I began to have the following symptoms
- migraines
- constipation
- vertigo
- balance issues
- increased anxiety
- tinnitus
- diplopia while I was laying down.
- The diplopia I experienced then started to progress from only when I was laying down to constantly unless one eye was closed.
I saw an eye doctor and my PCP who recommended I see a neurologist. The neurologist said he suspected a “convergence spasm” that gave me nystagmus.
About a week later, the left side of my face became extremely weak and practically paralyzed so I went to the hospital. Apparently I suffered a neurological attack caused by demyelinating plaques scattered in various white matter regions of my brain.
Brain MRI “The cerebral parenchyma shows multifocal discrete areas of increased signal. Intensity scattered throughout various white matter locations in the brain including the pontine tegmentum, the right periatrial white matter, the right frontal lobe white matter as well as the left inferior lobe white matter. These areas show mild facilitated diffusion. There is no associated mass effect. Following infusion of contrast agent, there is significant enhancement of the lesion in the right periventricular white matter and right supraverntricular white matter with faint enhancement in the pontine tegmenjtum.”
Spinal MRI - Congenital Spinal Stenosis
- Mild Disc bulge at T11-T12
- Minimal Disc bulges at L4-L5
- Mild disc bulge and small broad based protruding central disc herniation at L5-S1
- Mild multilevel facet arthropathy
Chest Xray -Unremarkable
CT Angio Head And Neck Unremarkable/No Stenosis/ No aneurysm
Lumbar Puncture -There were no O bands in my spinal fluid, and the only abnormal finding was nonspecific mild elevation of protein.
BLOOD TESTS Lyme, CRP, ANA, ACE, Sed Rate, Treponema Pallidum, Hep B, JC virus, Myelin Basic Protein, MOG Antibody, NMO/AQP4 all fell within normal range or negative
TREATMENT I was treated with high dose IV steroids for about 5 days in total and my face went back to normal about 95%. About two months later my double vision subsided, but I now developed light sensitivity and floaters.
REMAINING SYMPTOMS - Headaches compatible with Migraine, especially upon exertion of my neck. Just laying flat on my pillow or sitting up in my bed will give me a migraine behind my eyes and in the back of my head. Often times on one side of my head, other times like a headband.
- Tinnitus
- Floaters
- Cold hands and feet
- Back Pain
- Reflux since February
- Chest Cartilage Pain/Burning (relieved temporarily upon cracking sternum)
- Occasional Dizziness and almost the feeling of like I’m not in control of my body
My neurologist sees no need to further test anything. My opthamologist suspected neurosarcoidosis and I just recently retested ANA but it came back negative again. After the initial brain MRI, I would receive them every 6 months and each one got better. The lesion in the pons has cleared up, and smaller lesions have appeared in other white matter locations. I have another follow up with him in October.
Am I Just destined to be left in Limbo? Not knowing what happened to me and living in fear of symptoms reappearing has made me feel terrible. My contamination OCD, anxiety, and stress levels have been through the roof. I am unable to relax. I wash my hands upwards of 20 times per day, I disinfect my phone whenever I leave my home, I’m afraid of anything positive happening in my life due to the fear of something shitty happening right after. I lost my mother when I was 18, my sister in 2020, and my dad last year. I really only have myself because my grandmother is in Florida and I have to be strong for my grandfather who was just recently diagnosed with aggressive lymphoma. I have been taking him to his appointments and will be taking him to chemo. It’s just hard when I see so many different doctors without answers. So far I’ve seen 3 neurologists, 4 eye doctors, Endocrinologist, without any solid answers. It’s frustrating. I am extremely grateful that nothing debilitating was found, but I want to know how to heal my symptoms. Did we cover all of the bases? Did we miss anything?

2023.05.26 19:00 Future_Vehicle_8307 22 Blue in 2022: 'THE QUICK LIST'

2023.05.26 09:20 koldolmen Milano -> lake Como -> lake Garda -> Venice -> Rome. Would love some tips!
Hi! I'm traveling around Italy 10th of June until the 23rd, so I will stay a couple of days at each city I visit. I would love to get some tips, and I have a couple of questions that I'd like to know more about:
- Currency and Payment Methods: As an international traveler, I want to be prepared with the right balance of cash and cards. While I understand that Italy uses the Euro, I'm unsure about how much cash I should carry. How prevalent is card usage in these regions, and are ATMs reliable and widely available? Also, I typically use an American Express card - is this widely accepted in Italy, or would it be better to have a Visa or MasterCard on hand?
- Security Concerns with Card Usage: In line with this, how secure are card transactions in Italy? I've heard stories of card skimming and fraud in some tourist destinations - are these common issues I should be concerned about, or are such incidents rare?
- Culinary Experiences: I can't wait to explore the authentic Italian cuisine! I'd love to know about local restaurants that aren't typically crowded with tourists. If you have any recommendations for restaurants favoured by the locals and offer regional specialties, I'd be more than grateful.
- Public Transport: I would appreciate any advice on navigating Italy's public transport systems. What are the best methods for traveling within and between these cities? Are there any local etiquettes or tips I should be aware of?
- Hidden Gems: Beyond the well-trodden path, I have a keen interest in uncovering lesser-known attractions. I'd appreciate your suggestions for any secluded streets, charming neighborhoods, or under-the-radar sites in these cities.
- Local Customs and Etiquette: I want to ensure I respect the local customs and etiquettes during my visit. If there are any specific Italian practices or social norms I should be mindful of, please do let me know.
