Hi all, really in need of advice. Me (M, 28) and my fiancé (F, 28) have been together for 5 1/2 years and engaged for half a year. She has managed to lose 2 stone whilst I struggle with my weight and yo-yo. I have stood by her through the most difficult times of her life, gave her a place in my family when her's pushed her away and stood by her as anger issues welled to the surface - I persuaded her to try counseling and a psychologist and she's had such fantastic improvement. She is the complete love of my life and I have sacrificed so much for her with no regret. It's not been easy but then again, when is love?
To cut to the chase, in the last two months she has become increasingly distant, opting to go out with her friends until 3am, has been messaging a guy she met in work long messages ending in rows of kisses and has rejected any attempts to be intimate. I have listed and pushed to spend more time with her and I'm met with no's at each junction. I confronted her about a week ago and on pushing and ultimately tellimg her how low, alone and depressed I feel, she has admitted that she is no longer attracted to me and doesn't feel that 'spark' anymore. However, she doesn't want to leave me because of everything I offer, my family, my car, the house myself and my father are renovating for us to live in, etc. She claims she still loves me but honestly, I just feel worthless and broken. I feel used in that she is essentially dragging me along while figuring out what she wants from me to make this work.
I love her to pieces but my self confidence is shattered. I'm not sure if I even trust that she still loves me and that she isn't at least emotionally cheating on me with this 'friend' she messages. I've attempted to do all I can to compliment her, ask her to do things with me, look after her etc but she just always finds fault / disregards my effort completely. It feels like I'm trying to save our relationship and she just doesn't care.
Is there anything I can even do at this point? I feel miserable and broken but I love her and I just can't throw away the possibility of our future together. If we did break up, she would lose her home (in my name), my family, our friends...and me, though she completed disregards me as mentioned. I want to save our relationship but how do I stop getting taken for a ride?

I have severe anxiety. I start to have a panic attack if I’m in a store and there’s a lot of people, if someone yells at me or even just raises their voice at me, if someone corrects me, or if someone I’m not comfortable with starts talking to me, etc. I’m pretty sure it’s due to my childhood trauma but I’m not entirely sure.

I went to my doctor to try and get some help with it and he prescribed me medication but the medication he prescribed gave me insomnia (I was only getting 2-3 hrs of sleep per night and couldn’t stay asleep, a severe headache and nausea. This went on for 2 weeks so I called my doctor and he prescribed me another medication.
This medication made me shake uncontrollably like crazy, my teeth wouldn’t stop chattering and I had random spasms plus more insomnia and more headache and nausea, I actually threw up with this one so I stopped using it after a week and a half. My doctor is afraid to perscribe me anything else and recommended I see a therapist.
That sounded like a great idea until I checked with my insurance (offered by my workplace) and they only cover 20% of therapists fees and since most sessions are around $500 or more, I definitely can’t afford that. I hate this so bad.

38 F 5’9” Mole on upper abdomen No smoking, drinking or drugs. No known medical conditions.
During my yearly skin exam the MA said at the very end “let’s keep an eye on this one and do a check every 6 months for a while.” I was a new patient with no previous skin cancer. I had one “intermediate” skin biopsy in a different location about 4 years ago (I was told specifically this was not cancerous but they referred to it as “precancerous” and told there was no further action needed after a shave biopsy). I briefly used tanning beds for under one year, maybe once every week or two at age 17-18.
The mole in question I have had for at least a decade, probably longer but I’ve had it so long I can’t remember when I got it. I do recall however when I got it I had scratched the area and scratched something small off whether it was a scab there already or formed one after I don’t know, but it bled slightly and after healing I noticed the mole there. No idea if it had been there before. To my knowledge it has not really changed in the years since. I have had many annual skin exams since noting it and this was the first time it was mentioned to me. I had previously mentioned it to a doctor during an exam and she was not concerned.
However since this MA mentioned it, it has made me kind of paranoid and was wondering how concerned I should be or if I should do anything other than show up again in 6 months. Does this look likely to be melanoma? I understand it’s hard to tell because it’s not under a dermascope but any insight would be appreciated.

I've seen a lot of complaints lately about how RLCraft is so much harder early game without pets and staff summons being readily available, which absolutely ruined the game for them. That's ridiculous. People say they can't explore the world, because they're too slow on foot, and get lost too often without a flying mount. People crying when they die and their stuff explodes and goes through blocks to be forever lost.
There are minimap mods, grave mods, and you can edit the mods in your RLCraft to your liking to raise hearts, disable death upon head or chest while still keeping damaged limbs active, lowering special mob damage, and raising xp if you're a casual player without much time to sink in it. I created like 20 bases on my solo play and traveled nearly 10k blocks by doing that. The upside is I have 20 bases that are all scattered around for me to go to. I hate getting lost, so I downloaded a minimap. I hate dying in water and losing my stuff, so I downloaded a grave mod. I also lowered special mob damage, because I got tired of getting 1 shot early game. Yes, Lux and other variants can 1 shot you easily, even at lowest difficulty. I don't remember getting 1 shot in older versions, but I also used saber back then which is 25% damage reduction. Might be worth using saber in your offhand and a better weapon in your MH, like a spear, until you get past mid-game and into late game. The reason is, shield can't protect your head from flying mobs, gets guard broken by stacked damage, and mid-game you can usually just waltz into battle towers without dying anyway.
Okay, I'm getting off topic. What I'm trying to say is this, unless you're on a server, RLCraft can be played how you want to play it. Game too hard? Lower the difficulty. Too long of a grind for xp? Up the xp levels for combat or farming. See where I'm going? This game is for fun, so let's have fun. Some of us want a hardcore survival challenge with no mercy, and some of us just don't want to deal with temperature, or other things we find unbalanced, but that's okay. If you get to the point where you want more of a challenge, then you can always up the difficulty to your liking. It's a win win.

So the time has come to replace our trusty pool pump, it has been operational for the last 15 years (possibly more but that is when we moved in and the pump has been used 4 months a year every year)
Currently, we have a Hayward Max-Flo 3/4 HP 120V pump (I'm pretty sure this pump isn't sold anymore as the Max-Flo line I can find online doesn't match what we have), everything is using 1/2" fittings so I would like to keep the sizing the same when swapping in a new pump.
Here are the current pump specs: MN: sp1605-z-1-mx, RPM: 3450, SF: 1.00, Amperage: 11, HP: 3/4
The pool is 20k gallons, chlorine using a sand filter.
The pump is currently switching on for about 20-30 seconds then turning off and then repeating so I figure the windings have gone bad inside of the motor, at first I thought it was shutting off on thermal overload but after attempting to run it at night while it was much cooler out I had the same problem.
I found this motor online as a replacement but I'm unsure if it will fit and if I can get a seal kit for the pump due to its old age, so I am unsure if replacing the motor is an option. I will attach a photo of the pump and filter label. If replacement isn't an option I'm looking for recommendations for a new pump for around 500-1000 dollars. Thank you in advance!

Obviously I know everyone’s mileage varies and all that…but I’ve recently begun to suspect that my T is aromatizing despite my high SHBG (which my doctor thought had been suppressing my free T and thus making my levels substantially lower than they actually are). At this point I will not survive another period. Birth control is off the table because it makes me psychotic, all of it. A hysto is a certainty but I’m thousands of dollars in debt so it has to wait.
So I’m gonna ask about E blockers or I guess an AI (aromatase inhibitor) because I can’t do this anymore. None of what’s been happening to my labs or my body over the past six months or so makes any sense anyway. So at this point I think I need to just deal with what’s in front of me and put a stop to it indefinitely until I can make it permanent.
I’ll admit I’m not super thrilled about going on a mystery medication and potentially adding to the confusion, but I’m desperate. This cannot wait.
Has anyone had experience with this, specifically being on a blocker of some sort in conjunction with staying on T? I’ve been on T for almost 7 years. Things seemed more or less okay until I was made to lower my dose drastically at the end of 2021, which started one issue after another that I have yet to recover from. Until a couple of months ago I was on 3 pumps of Androgel and it seemed like it was a good dose for me, at least I wasn’t bleeding monthly for the most part. I mean, I realized in hindsight that what I thought was atrophy related, was actually spotting that aligns with my cycle-first week of the month. It wasn’t every month though…and it was nowhere near as debilitating as a full-fledged week or so of PMDD and then Uncle “Fuckhead” Floyd.
I cannot even begin to explain how drastically this has affected me. It is truly a threat to my mental and physical health. I feel sick even talking about it. I need a solution that will have a hope and a prayer of working before next month because otherwise, I don’t really know what’s gonna happen to me. It’s like I go into this other mental state that’s beyond any dysphoria I’ve ever felt. It’s terrifying.
Any ideas? I have gone back to 3 pumps of Androgel after two months or so of trying a higher dose and using compounded cream instead. So now my dose is lower, since raising it causes all hell to break loose.
I’m honestly beginning to think T just doesn’t work for me, that it’s done all it can and that all it’s doing now is complicating my life and health. For the first 4 years or so, things were slow but nothing like this was happening. My labs made a lot more sense. I think some of this might be long Covid relayed. But it doesn’t matter now. My point is I need to stay on T because no amount of working out will give me the body I need and estrogen destroys my mental health. And I don’t believe I would pass anymore if I went off it, either.
Something is wrong with me. Something is very wrong. I have had a pelvic ultrasound (the one where they put the “thin probe”- it’s not- in your no-no hole and all that, guh, anyway) and everything was normal. Last pap torture bullshit was normal. I’m not on hormonal birth control and never have been. My thyroid is fine. I take vitamins. I am Aquarius. I think that’s everything.

It’s that time of year again! Hello everyone, so I purchased a second hand camry 2 years ago that had AC leak (didnt know then during chicago winters). When summer hit, I realised theres a leak and spent $500 with 5 mechanics (dye and senser technology used) but no one were able to detect the leak. Ihv resorted to using $9 cans every time I need to use my car during june july aug months in chicago for over 2 hours. The recharge lasts me about 24 hours. Ik this is a cheaper alternative considering im living in chicago which has most days where you do not need AC.
But I wanted to hear to your stories of where and how did you find minor leaks? And if Im not able to find a leak, is it okay to replace the whole AC system (one by one) to see if the issue is resolved? My main skills are sewing/crafting (I can fix nearly anything made of fabric and I am an advanced crocheter), clothing alterations, baking (mainly cupcakes but I could do other things), and house/closet organization. My partner’s skills fall mainly in the handiwork area (putting together IKEA furniture, fixing stuff around the house), he is capable of lifting very heavy things, drawing/art/graphic design, and he also does 3D printing. We would also consider other things like pet care, personal shopping, or even household chores (laundry, light cleaning, etc). We would also be open to possibly learning something new.
We are in an apartment, so don’t have the machinery needed to do things like lawn care or pressure washing, and we would prefer to keep it close to where we live (Blairmore). Do people need these services? If not, what do they need? Where do they need it?

And in theory if it works. I can tell/email whomever I want to have access to this instructions. The user can say x is dead or whatever. The AI reads a script to the person, and tells the person important bits of info along with opening up files to show images as it is going through the script. And then from there, the AI will ask the user if they have questions or need any help.
The user then can ask questions like
User: "how can I find out what crypto x had?"
AI: It looks at the document and hopefully it tells the user to check the tax stuff to see the wallets and what I have.
User: "How do I get access to the crypto"

I immediately called my mom who is with the best friend in another state to tell them what happened. As my mom is expressing her sympathy for us I can hear the best friend in the background yelling at my mom about what is she going to do with her dog.
I went home to pick my boyfriend up (we live an hour and a half away from where I am dog sitting) and he has been with me here so I can make sure he is okay.
He should be at home with our cats and near his dad and friends during this time. I am so thankful he came back with me here so I could be there for him.
I am planning on leaving tomorrow afternoon with my boyfriend.
She is coming back tomorrow for one day and then has to leave for a conference Tuesday - Thursday.
I am not understanding why she will not use Rover to hire someone to come over and walk and feed the dog twice/three times a day. She is paying me far more than what it costs to hire someone from Rover (which she has done before)

After four-ish days of excruciating pain, (the dull ache and stabbing shocks that all of us know all too well) limited range of motion, basically being immobile due to a particularly bad cluster of flairs under my right arm they finally drained and I’m so thankful to all higher powers because of this.
A combination of vaporub (only use on non-opened lesions) and OTC painkillers made me mobile enough to get daily functions done. I was in no means comfortable, but they caused me to be so much more capable than I would’ve been without them.
The day before they opened I was extremely desperate and used an antibiotic that is not available for OTC use, but that I had from a previous infection. I don’t know whether or not this aided in the draining process, what I do know is that antibiotics are sometimes prescribed to people with HS but everyone should talk to a medical professional prior to trying them because overuse of antibiotics can be harmful for your immune system. I was truly desperate when I tried this, and I fully don’t recommend it to anyone.
Anyways I’d love to here any more recommendations for how to care fotreat/prevent flairs and thank you to everyone in the community for making me feel less alone 💗💗💗

I think dogs have a place, but not in the house. Houses that have dogs always have a smell. Dogs have some kind of skin oil or something that rubs off and impregnates all of the areas that the dog touches.
I can’t stand dog culture and the people who perpetuate it. Of course I don’t hate everyone who owns a dog, but I really can’t stand people who make dog related activities their entire lifestyle and personality.
I live in an apartment complex that is overrun with dog people. They walk each other’s dogs and let their dogs run around without leashes. It’s literally the only thing any of them ever talk about. They remind me of sheep. They’ve commandeered all of the grassy areas so there isn’t anywhere for kids to play because there are piss stains and dog shit piles everywhere.
Story time: All my neighbors hate me because I got the neighbor above us evicted.
She had two pit bulls who were kept in crates all day while she and her boyfriend worked long hours. When they would come home, they would let the dogs run back and fourth through the house and it sounded like a stampede. More importantly, they often let the dogs run around outside without leashes. Even when they were on a leash, she couldn’t handle them and they would pull her around while chasing other dogs and more terrifyingly, like my hundred pound wife and our two toddlers. She never picked up their shit unless people were out there.
I asked her and her boyfriend to keep the dogs on leashes after they chased my wife to the door at night while “gruffing and ruffing.” They both argued with me and blew me off.
I wrote an initial complaint.
Sadly, the apartment building management didn’t give a shit about the dogs. The ladies that manage the buildings literally brought their dogs to work sometimes. The email response was: “sorry about the dogs, but please rest assured that they are good dogs. Your family is safe.”

The apartment complex finally replied with a request to stop writing emails. They stated that they had already “notified the tenant.” Whatever that means.
The last straw was pulled during the dead of winter when I looked out the patio and saw hundreds of literal piss-icicles dangling down above all my patio furniture and my bicycles. The deck above has gaps and they were too lazy to take their dogs out so they began letting the dogs piss onto the deck where it was dripping through and freezing into icicles.
Managements reply: “maybe it’s not what you think it is. That could be anything like runoff from the roof”
What the apartment management didn’t know was that the tenants above us were growing marijuana. I don’t really care what people do, but the smell was coming into my apartment and I was tired of that also. I knew they were growing because I would see the boyfriend bringing in all kinds of supplies like soil and buckets. I saw him throw out a huge trash bag of stems and trimmings one time also.
Weed is legal to grow in my state but I knew growing was against the apartment complex rules. There is a clause in my lease, so I knew it would be in theirs also.
I sent an email to management about the weed smell and my suspicion that they were growing it. They replied that while smoking and growing are both prohibited in the complex, they had no way of knowing if it was the neighbors in question.
I felt like they were rolling their eyes at me. I was pissed.
Well, it was the middle of winter and pipes freeze in my area if you don’t keep the heat on. I decided to trace their gas line and shut it off at the emergency valve for their meter one night.
They probably had a cold night but they both went to work the next day. When they got home, I heard a lot of fighting and cursing.
I don’t think their pipes froze, but they had to call maintenance who couldn’t figure out that someone had simply shut off the valve. Maintenance had to bring in the gas company and I guess the gas company had to bring in the fire marshall for an inspection because one of the bedrooms was filled with illegal wiring and fire hazards so the gas company was unwilling to turn the gas back on. Of course the apartment management was panicking because they didn’t want the pipes to freeze so they went up there with maintenance to see what was happening.
My last words to them as they moved out during a blizzard: “should have use a fucking leash. This would have been so much easier…” she just stomped off.
I forwarded ALL my emails to the corporate entity that owns the entire complex at that exact time. I haven’t seen the dog lady managers and we have a new maintenance crew. They also build a “bark park” and removed the dog cleanup stations from the grassy areas near people front doors. They replaced the poop bag stations and trash and with a sign that directs them to walk their dogs to the field next to the “bark park.” Of course everyone still lets their dogs shit on the grassy areas.
Apparently the duos apartment was trashed because they were wearing tyvek suits and respirators when they hauled out the carpet and the partially pit bull eaten interior doors.
Your wanna know the worst part? They were part of a dog owner group chat for the apartment complex and they blamed us for getting them evicted, only mentioning that we complained about their poor pit bulls.
Now all of them hate me for making the complex less dog friendly and they all direct their dogs to poop in front of my window. Poor maintenance guy had to come and clean it once a week until they filled in the area with pea gravel.

I think dogs have a place, but not in the house. Houses that have dogs always have a smell. Dogs have some kind of skin oil or something that rubs off and impregnates all of the areas that the dog touches.
I can’t stand dog culture and the people who perpetuate it. Of course I don’t hate everyone who owns a dog, but I really can’t stand people who make dog related activities their entire lifestyle and personality.
I live in an apartment complex that is overrun with dog people. They walk each other’s dogs and let their dogs run around without leashes. It’s literally the only thing any of them ever talk about. They remind me of sheep. They’ve commandeered all of the grassy areas so there isn’t anywhere for kids to play because there are piss stains and dog shit piles everywhere.
Story time: All my neighbors hate me because I got the neighbor above us evicted.
She had two pit bulls who were kept in crates all day while she and her boyfriend worked long hours. When they would come home, they would let the dogs run back and fourth through the house and it sounded like a stampede. More importantly, they often let the dogs run around outside without leashes. Even when they were on a leash, she couldn’t handle them and they would pull her around while chasing other dogs and more terrifyingly, like my hundred pound wife and our two toddlers. She never picked up their shit unless people were out there.
I asked her and her boyfriend to keep the dogs on leashes after they chased my wife to the door at night while “gruffing and ruffing.” They both argued with me and blew me off.
I wrote an initial complaint.

The title sums it up. 2010-2016, I cycled a ton. I lived in a city and used cycling as my primary mode of transportation, which led to longer rides, mountain biking, and racing cyclocross for 3 seasons. In 2016, I moved and started a new career and didn’t have much time for it. I kept riding for fitness but wasn’t “into it.” Then, (in this order) I got married, had a kid, and had some chronic health issues that had me immobile for 2 years (hip problems, lots of surgery.)
Since then, I’ve hit the gym and gotten back into shape and really want to get cycling again.

My spouse and I (Married, Filing Joint) are stuck in a little bit of a complex tax conundrum. Would appreciate any advice/guidance!
Here's the situation:
My spouse is currently unemployed in between careers. After leaving his last role in education (2021), he rolled over his retirement accounts to Traditional IRAs at Vanguard. He has about 30k in the pre-taxed traditional IRA account and another 5k in a (we believe) post-tax traditional IRA account that he made contributions to. He hasn't made any Roth IRA contributions in 1-2 year due to the changes in career.
I have about 16k in a Roth IRA (and none in Traditional IRAs).
I've been maxing our my 401k every year, and plan to again this year. We've been hoarding cash in a HYSA instead of continuing to contribute to our Roth IRAs the past 2 years because he's in-between careers so we wanted to build a bigger emergency fund.
But now that we've built a sufficient emergency fund... We want to start funding both of our Roth IRAs again, but I alone am expected to make $210-240k+ this year (total will depend on RSU prices at vest + sales quota attainment). This puts us near or above the income limits for regular Roth IRA contributions and I don't want to take any risks.
This leaves us with only the backdoor Roth option. However, because he has rolled over pre-taxed money in traditional IRAs from previous employers, we're now stuck with the pro-rata rules and a more complex tax situation.
To avoid pro-rata I would imagine that converting all of his traditional IRAs (30k from rollovers + 5k from manual contributions) over to a Roth IRA would mean a pretty big tax hit.

I've been maxing our my 401k every year, and plan to again this year. We've been hoarding cash in a HYSA instead of continuing to contribute to our Roth IRAs the past 2 years because he's in-between careers so we wanted to build a bigger emergency fund.
But now that we've built a sufficient emergency fund... We want to start funding both of our Roth IRAs again, but I alone am expected to make $210-240k+ this year (total will depend on RSU prices at vest + sales quota attainment). This puts us near or above the income limits for regular Roth IRA contributions and I don't want to take any risks.
This leaves us with only the backdoor Roth option. However, because he has rolled over pre-taxed money in traditional IRAs from previous employers, we're now stuck with the pro-rata rules and a more complex tax situation.
To avoid pro-rata I would imagine that converting all of his traditional IRAs (30k from rollovers + 5k from manual contributions) over to a Roth IRA would mean a pretty big tax hit.
A few questions:
- When filing jointly, does his existing traditional IRA pro-rata rule apply to me (since I currently don't have any traditional IRA accounts) as well, or am I okay to fund a backdoor Roth IRA?
- Can he contribute to IRAs given that he doesn't have any income this year?
- Is it advisable to take a 1 time tax hit to convert his Traditional IRAs to Roth IRAs so we can avoid pro-rata?
- Is it easiemore advantageous to just keep money and invest it in a traditional brokerage instead?
- Any other creative ways/tools we can leverage to shelter taxes for our retirement accounts going forward?
