Long story short. I had a computer monitor which I used for movies watching and entertainment. I used my iPad 9 64gb for note taking with the pen(good notes), reading PDFs(Adobe linked to Google drive), YouTube lectures with note taking on split screen and loooot of Google drive docs and also lightroom and VSCO.
But recently I had to sell my monitor cuz of space issues. So now I just have my terrible windows laptop with a shitty display which I almost never use. Also my iPad 9th gen 64gb which I use for almost everything related to college and also my hobby which is photo editing.
It's pretty good for all I do but I recently came across a deal to exchange my iPad for a Xiaomi Pad 5 with the stylus. I'm wondering if the Xiaomi pad 5 is a better device when compared to the iPad 9. In terms of specs it looks like the Xiaomi pad 5 has a better display overall so I guess movies would look so much better but I'm not sure about how well MIUI would compare to iPad OS. Also I almost never use the speakers since I always use a good quality headphones.
I also use a Xiaomi POCO F3. So far I haven't had any trouble syncing it with my iPad since I mostly use Google services. And the software updates I don't really mind as long as the device doesn't slow down significantly as my current phone also wouldn't recieve any updates in the future but the processor is good enough to keep up.
I'd like some opinions of anyone who has experience with both devices as to whether I should make the switch..

A few things have been decided! The season will be named Total Drama: Vengance. (Between this one and redemption island it was close). The cast will be: Zeke, Noah, Tyler, Harold, Courtney, Bridgette, Izzy, Leshawna, Dawn, Jo, Anne Maria, Brick, Scott, Sam, Topher, Max, Jasmine and Ella. I had to make a few choices for the gen 1 cast, since there were a few ties.

Form 2 will help decide a few things in preperation for the first two episodes (since this will be a 26 episode season, the first two are a two parter), as well as the rest of the season. Please be sure to participate.

Hello.
I don’t want to make this post too long but I was hoping for some advice on calf problems. Back story is, I used to be a pharmacy technician, so I was on my feet a lot. Approximately 2016-2017ish. I didn’t work there extremely long, maybe just a year. Anyways, one day I was reaching up to grab a bottle of pills from the shelf and had to stand up on my toes. I would say I did this a lot as I am a short female (27 now). I noticed not long after that that I had a pain in my right calf. I assumed I pulled it and waited for the pain to go away. The pain never went away. I stopped working at that job, had a sit-down job not too long after for about two years. I’m not active whatsoever so no running or extreme sports for me. I am what you would consider over weight but I was at least 30 pounds lighter when this started. I did see several different docs before I saw a podiatrist who told me immediately it was Achilles tendinitis. I did physical therapy for some time after and did stretches and massages at home. The pain persisted. Eventually I was so fed up with the pain and nothing that the doctors said to do helped so I just stopped caring. Eventually I noticed the same pain in my left calf. It’s not AS bad as the right leg, but it’s definitely there.
The pain is not there if I am laying down or sitting but if I get up and walk around or stand, even for like a normal grocery store trip, it will hurt AFTER I have sat down. Sometimes the pain is like sharp shooting pains that come and go. They are sharp enough to stop me from whatever I am doing to just hold my calf in pain and then it will stop until the next sharp pain comes. (Cramps?) Other times it will remain sore and achy. I don’t have any pain in my heel or feet. It’s literally just from the back of my calf that hurts and I feel the pain does radiate down the ankle.
When massaged it hurts a lot. Doctors and friends who have felt my calves have agreed that my tendon is VERY tight. I don’t have much flexibility to my foot when it comes to pulling your toes toward you.
It doesn’t happen every time I am active but enough to certainly make an impact. I’m not looking for medical advice. I am hoping for possible suggestions on stretches or even relatable experiences. So far, upon googling, I am only finding people who are super active and get injuries from running long distances. I am neither of those things.
Any insight would be helpful!

I recently obtained my bachelors in Business Information System Analytics and I am currently working on my Masters in Analytics. Do you see any glaringly obvious faults? Any advice would be immensely helpful I'm really struggling with this.

Greetings, ladies and gentlemen! I have returned once more with yet another healthy dose of chiptune warfare. If you're not aware or haven't seen, I've lately been hosting chiptune contests each month here on chiptunes, and alas, a new month has begun! This month's theme is...

Dramatic Break! This month, rather than a more general, emotion-based, interpretive theme, we're going to experiment with one that revolves more around a specific musical feature in the song, that being a dramatic break. Make a song that has a substantial pause bridging two other parts, creating a grand, dramatic effect!

Here's how this will work. You'll have two weeks to submit, starting today, Wednesday, June 7th (well, that's technically an hour behind for me, but I digress). This means that the final deadline for submissions closing is Wednesday, June 21tst. Halfway through, on Wednesday, June 14th, I'll make a reminder post to hopefully draw in more participants and to remind those who are already participating in the contest. If you'd like to be notified anytime there's a new post regarding the contest, either leave a comment below saying so or join our Discord with the link at the bottom of the post. Your submission must be chiptune, but what exactly this means is very open-ended - we will gladly accept true chiptune, fakebit, fusion, and everything in between! We've even accepted a song made in the style of Animal Crossing, and come to think of it, I've never rejected a song for not being chiptune. The submission form is here - please let me know if it's broken or anything is wrong with it.
As for the theme, we typically go for something more interpretive (e.g. "Battle" or "Dance," both past themes), but this month, I'm experimenting with something different per the suggestion of one of our Discord members (see below if you want to join). Your song must have some form of dramatic break in it, though as always, what exactly this means is entirely up to you. Go wild with your creativity - that's what makes these contests special!
