Sorry, I know this is asked a lot, but I can't seem to access the aforementioned options as I no longer live in the US. So here's the story. I bought an Xbox like 10 years ago and have since sold it and moved to the UK. As such, I no longer have access to my old phone number, which is used for my 2FA. I tried going through the recovery form, which I am sure I answered every single question correctly, yet it says it was rejected.
I tried calling customer service but they just hang up on me after going through the automated menu. I have tried going through the "request a call back" option in support, but it asks me to log in, which I obviously cannot do. So, what are my options? I am still being charged for Xbox Live and while I would obviously love to have all my old games and whatnot, I really just want to cancel the subscription and stop being charged. How is it impossible to talk to a real person?

Taking refuge in the Dharma is not a fantasy about future enlightenment, but recognizing and relating with what is here right now.
 
Taking refuge in the Sangha is about recalling the community of Buddhist practitioners. It reminds me that I’m not alone, which I find encouraging and reassuring. Since I don’t currently meet regularly with a group of practitioners, I don’t have a sangha in the most conventional sense. If I did, taking refuge in the Sangha would entail appreciating the love and compassion in that community as well as its frictions and tensions, both of which are raw material for waking up. Taking refuge in the Sangha also seems to entail (though this may diverge from the canonical meaning of sangha) the recognition that any and all beings are my companions, walking alongside me in this life. It recalls the lineage of enlightened teachers both past and present, whose examples humble and inspire me.

The Bridgerton universe has introduced a few LGBT characters but all of them have been male and white. Its also been all about hiding the love from the Ton. As someone who has read fair amount of historical romance novels there are always hints of LGBTQ couples. The amount of lesbian "aunts" you find in the genre so nobody can say they could not showcase LGBTQ love stories. And its all happening right infront of the Ton. For me Bridgerton should start off with an older LGBTQ couple that could show that they can have their own happy ending, might be a bit different from the Bridgerton couples in straight relationships but that they can find their own happiness.
Honestly i would start of with Lady Tilley Arnold who will be played by Hannah New. According to Deadline:

Once they established happy endings for LGBTQ couples we can expand it on any of the main love stories. Honestly it was a wasted opportunity not to have Edwina be LGBTQ especially with her sister marrying the Viscount she could have been shown with a happy ending under the protection of the Viscount and Viscountess Bridgerton. But people have been allergic to that suggestion.
I find it weird how only the Bridgerton family seemingly is being suggested for the LGBTQ romance, everybody else in the Ton is seemingly having only straight marriages. Michael, Gareth, Sophie and Lucy could be the LGBTQ characters. Or even Violet or Portia.
Honestly give us some wlw pairing since Netflix is so allergic to the renewing shows focusing on them.

BL: We have an 8 year old daughter and are soon welcoming our 2nd. My wife and I are at an impasse on what to do with the lego.
The facts:
1) We have a pretty sizable collection that takes up a good amount of space. My wife and I both like to build and we over indulged a bit over the years.
2) Our daughter isn’t much into building but loved to roleplay/tell stories, etc. Example: we have the Lion Knights Castle; my wife and I built it and included her, but she really had no interest in the building. However, she will sit down and play/modify with it daily.
3) Much of the collection is lego friends / Disney sets with a few City, Castle, HP, SW, and a couple vintage sets I grabbed off eBay. We have most of the boxes. It’s a point of contention.
4) My wife suggests we separate out some of the sets, box em up, and sell them. There are certainly sets that didn’t hit or have just been in pieces for years. I’m opposed to this, and would like to keep every scrap but I can see the logic.
5) With another on the way, but our 8 year old not quite out of Lego prime age, I want to find a way to put them in her room. However, that’s challenging as there isn’t a TON of space in there (probably a couple akro-mils) and our main play area has been down in the family room. That’ll be choke city in about 6 months…so they have to move.
6) Another option is to separate out a good number of them, box them up and set them aside to re-open in 4 - 7years. This would enable us to keep a smaller portion of them in the 8 year olds room.

So I did not emphasize a "main character" during the prompt. That is because there are many different characters that we can choose from for this rp.
There is Honoka, the current peppy mascot of Mizuryuu Kei Land U.S.A. Who gets to live in the park and do all sorts of fun events for the guest. Unfortunately she did not read her contract to well. And now she has to fight for the right to keep her job as the parks mascot. Or be replaced by another slut.
There is also Natalia, a college student who's friend was somehow able to score 3 tickets fo the theme parks grand opening week. As a closet pervert Natalia was basically dragged along by her friends. In an attempt to get her to loosen up. Oh if only they knew the bitch in heat they unleashed in the park.
Another option is Stephanie, a 30 year old single mother who was given a ticket by her best friend as a birthday present. She didn't really want to come, as she felt the idea of the park was disgusting. But accepted to go anyway as it was a gift from her friend. The question is will Stephanie be able to come out of the park as the same woman she was when she got there? Or will the depravity of the park turn her into a shameless slutty milf?

The park is basically a sandbox, where we can create anything we want. The only limit for what story we can create is literally our imaginations! So as my GM you will have a lot of creative freedom for what ever lewd attraction, event, store,etc. You want to add to the park.

They go wrong for many reasons, such as the engineer forgetting that equipment to be used in what amounts to a perpetual sandstorm needs to be modified to be resistant to [drumroll] sand; the depressed, apathetic, and possibly passively suicidal protagonist not properly securing equipment, leading to the serious injury of another expedition member; and the only two people who are neither injured nor apathetic hating each other’s guts.
Mainly because one is a hedonistic Atheist stereotype while the other is a fanatical Fundamentalist Christian stereotype.
And, yes, we get to read their conversations.
Multiple times.
If being stuck in a small space with what amounts to a couple of edgy teenagers on internet message board sounds miserable, just wait, it gets worse. The protagonist, Alex, is depressed in the extreme after his wife’s death. His internal monologue, which comprises a solid chunk of the page count, is him perseverating over her death, the uncaring universe, whether the divine exists, and coming to the basic conclusion “what’s the point?”
Unfortunately, this makes him an extremely unpleasant person to spend 250 or so pages with. (Anyone who has ever listened to a “woe is me” monologue will understand.). It also makes him extremely passive. Moments like the following are not uncommon:

He debated saying anything; was there really a problem worth investigating? He didn’t want to deal with any extra hassle, but if there were a problem with the sledges, then—

(Spoiler alert: There was a problem.)
Of course, it’s hard to tell which is worse: his passivity or his actions.
On the one hand, here is the passivity. (The context is that he checking the anchors for their equipment as they trek across an inhospitable planet in near-hurricane force winds.)

The struts were secure enough. The straps too. He didn’t need to physically check each and every one of them, regs bedamned. It was a waste of time, and he was full out of fucks.

Yes, someone gets hurt, and our oh-so-delightful protagonist immediately thinks

Had he fucked up? If he’d taken the time to properly check the sledges…No. Couldn’t be. He was overreacting. There was no way to know for sure that he could have made any difference. The wind might have been strong enough to push the sledge loose no matter what. No way to be sure. But he couldn’t help but feel responsible.

On the other hand, here’s his activity.
While the team is deciding whether to press on with a non-ambulatory member, thanks to Alex’s fuckup with the sledges, he proposes first leaving the man in their spare Space Tent—yes, an incapacitated man alone on the surface of an alien planet— and then dragging him along.

”There’s a lot more room in the sledges now that we removed the supercapacitors and drive trains…and we wouldn’t have to bring the mast of the sail or the wheels from Chen’s sledge. All that could stay. You and I can handle a few extra kilos, and Pushkin, you’re more than strong enough to handle Chen. He’s not that big.” Alex was bluffing now, making assumptions reason told him were unreasonable, but he wasn’t going to admit as much.

Emphasis mine. I am sure their survival chances were much improved by Alex’s manipulations. (Spoiler alert: They weren't.)
And that leads to my final thought, which is that this is one of the most depressing, nihilistic things I have read in quite a while, all while lacking the literary beauty of a 19th century Russian novel.
It isn’t just the trauma porn as the explorers’ increasing ill health is described in loving detail. It isn’t just that there are no relationship changes between the characters, unless you count the Christian and Atheist going from merely hating each other to being downright homicidal. It isn’t just the tedium of spending a novel in the head of someone who does not give a tinker’s damn until the last few pages when he decides

The expedition had given him a goal, and the goal had given him a reason to keep moving. He recognized that now. As long as he had a destination in mind, he could keep putting one foot in front of the other. It didn’t mean life would be easy or pleasant, but maybe it could be bearable…. Besides, there was someone relying on him now. He couldn’t afford to fail. It was a new feeling. He liked it.

(Too bad he didn’t have that revelation before he started the trip ‘cause, wow, did he let people down.)
No, the worst part is that there’s no point to the suffering. They spend the entire book physically and mentally collapsing, two people die, one is disabled, and only Alex makes it to the hole. His equipment doesn’t, though, so all he has is the Mark I eyeball, which isn’t working too well by that point. What’s more, despite Alex’s newfound optimism, there’s a distinct possibility he and the injured person won’t survive the return trip. (The plan is to convert their sledge into a land yacht and sail back. In hurricane force winds. With neither of the survivors having sailing experience and both being injured.)
I like the story of failed expeditions as much as the next person, but I don’t like it after two hundred pages of a depressed protagonist working with people who hate each other. When you have a story where the protagonist doesn’t see a point for most of it, and the story itself doesn’t see point, should the reader?
Anyway, I hope Paolini got that out of his system so Murtagh will be fun. Anyone else read this one? It got a huge promotional push from Tor, but I haven't seen much discussion on it.

So before I say this, I realize that I seem like the common denominator here. Which I am, because I didn’t follow my intuition of red flags during interviewing. But I genuinely do like to/need to work (at the right job).
I left my last job after 8 months. I was working at a small business and the “CEO” was a micromanaging narcissist who bullied me, and other younger women. My supervisor left and I was doing 4 jobs and needed to leave.
Then I started a job because of the pay and benefits. But, it turns out it has a thinly-veiled conservative agenda, and a conservative writer I had to share on social media for work caused a bomb threat to my partner’s workplace. Long story, but I’m miserable working some place that goes against my ethics and the workload is intense and there’s a lot of micromanaging/disorganization.
I want to look for another job but an 8 month job and a 5 month job looks bad. I’ve been in grad school, so can I take it off my resume and write in the gap as freelancing? I was doing some minor freelance work but not much.

I wasn’t sure where to post this story but figured it was better anywhere than to remain just in my head. For starters, I was lead to believe that taking psychedelics while depressed or suicidal can often induce bad or “nightmare trips”. I was very adamant on avoiding having this experience until I woke up this morning suicidal, heartbroken and lost in life. I was on the phone to samaritans (a suicide hotline for anyone who isn’t familiar) looking for some sort of closure that I wasn’t seeming to be able to obtain from someone aiming to reassure me by using the same old “everything is going to be okay” line I have always been told. I decided it was time to face my troubles in an unconvetional way by deliberately taking some lsd mixed with shrooms. Initially i was overwhelmed with feelings of grief and worry, but became more so determined to challenge everything the psychedelics were prepared to show me. I decided to have a walk down to a coffee shop and enjoy a busy sidewalk as my sort of “canvas” to allow my brain to paint weird and wonderful patterns on while I ponder about life and decisions i made in life. It seemed remarkable as to how the lsd and the shrooms almost came together and avert the once self destructive thoughts i had into more positive, self reflective ones. Instead of deciding to end it all i began pondering about future plans involving taking part in charities and other ways to become a more giving considerate person. There was so much positivity and careful planning of how to make things better that i definitely would not have been able to do sober. Its like i was able to administer myself some sort of mental therapy i was in need for so long that i couldnt have found anywhere else. This was not the nightmare trip i was expecting, but rather a glimmer of hope in one of my darkest moments. hopefully this story reaches those who are in a similar position to me. Stay tripping and stay positive.

Basically at the end of each academic year you'll find a lot of big Art Schools will put on a degree show where their graduating students display a selection of their works in a gallery style format and you can often just walk in off the street to wander around and have a look. You can see all sorts of stuff from paintings, jewellery, textiles, fashion, interior design, sculpture, product design, architecture, illustration and more. Honestly a tonne of completely insane works across loads of different disciplines all crammed into one place like the densest museum ever. Some of the stuff you see will blow your mind. If there's an art school in your city, look them up to see if they have a degree show on.

Some of the schools you might need to register your attendance in advance via email, best to look it up online first, but all the ones I've been to have been free and they've never been fussy. If you're looking for an interesting day out to look at some fresh artwork definitely check it out!

Holy smokes, this is the worst RMA experience I've ever had. Long story short, I'm an adult, I keep it docked, it doesn't get banged around. Display randomly died on 2022 4-month-old g14. Sent in for repair. Comes back with a dented and scratched up lid after almost 3 weeks. Send it back, have to essentially tell them to read their own notes to get them to waive the $125 fee they want to charge to fix damage they did. Get it back after another almost 3 weeks and the bottom plate is chipped off on one of the corners. What's absolutely astonishing is that on the 2nd RMA, it FAILED THEIR OWN QA CHECK AND THEY HAD TO FIX IT AGAIN....and then still missed the new damage that they caused on one or both of those QA checks depending on when it took place. Asus has had this thing in RMA hell for about 1/3 of the time I've owned it and we might not be done yet. This is comically bad.
Moral of this story is twofold: 1. Obviously, Asus has substantial issues with their repair center and, more importantly, 2. If you have to RMA your computer, take photos of every angle as you box it up so you can make them eat shit if they screw it up.

This post is a little difficult for me to write, but I've been grappling with a unique situation and I'm hoping to find some advice or perhaps others who've faced similar challenges.
To start with, I'm a 28-year-old man with a keen interest in very specific fields - pentesting, electrical engineering, astrophysics, software engineering, DIY electronics, server networking, welding, mining, building rockets, chemistry and so forth. I find immense satisfaction and joy in these pursuits, and they form a core part of who I am. It's not an exaggeration to say that my interests are a bit niche, and it has been challenging to find women who share these interests or even understand them at all.
Allow me to provide a little more insight into my living situation and, as it happens, my workspace. My property encompasses a primary residential structure (my home), and surprisingly, an even larger structure that serves as my personal laboratory. This lab isn't a makeshift project; it's an old government edifice that was previously used for intensive chemistry work, imbuing it with a rich historical and scientific aura.
Over time, I've given this space a comprehensive upgrade. The erstwhile chemistry lab has been revamped and expanded upon, and I've allocated significant areas for various pursuits. There's a dedicated woodworking shop, resplendent with all necessary tools and machinery, ready to bring woodwork projects to life. My part-manufacturing room holds a few 3d printers, laser cutters, and more. I've also put together a metal refining shop to satiate my mining interests – my property houses old mines, and spending a few days mining and refining assorted metals is an activity I thoroughly enjoy.
Another section of my lab is committed to electronics engineering – a field I hold dear. This is accompanied by my rocket development area and launch pad, which are seeing increasing use as I transition from amateur to professional rocketry.
