I recently visited my folks and while poking around my old room I came across my DS lite, Pokémon sapphire, my brothers SP and a link cable. The gears started turning and I’ve been itching for a lil project. I never have a GBA of my own but have fond memories of using my brother's to play Advance Wars 2 or playing on my friend's consoles So I reached out to my friend group. We all agreed that it would be a great time to bring GBAs to the bars or shows with us so we could play Mario Kart or Pokémon together after a few drinks. So I went about purchasing a knackered AGB-001 to use since I like the form factor better than the SP. To eBay! The first unit I picked up for $39 and was pretty rough. Screen was ruined, speaker was abysmal and it was crusty as all get out (listing). There are some issues with the board and I plan to use it as a donor for future projects. Second unit, $61 (listing). Case is discolored and rough but the internals are in great shape and the screen is immaculate (plan to use this for another project later). Cleaned up the internals and re soldered a few bits. Popped in Sapphire and I was cruising. Modding time. Full list below but I wanted to make a workhorse that I could take around anywhere. I originally wanted to do a full blackout but it seems to be done a lot so I went for something a bit more unique. I kept the scheme pretty neutral with a gray shell and the original buttons. A little too plain for me. A set of black buttons and teal start and select for a little pop of color. Perfect. I posted it on discord and now everyone is on board. The plan is that for everyone’s birthday they are going to purchase the parts they want and I’m going to build a unit for them off of their childhood systems. I’m also planning to surprise my brother with his SP restored with a few tasteful upgrades for his birthday in October (I’ll post that here too once it’s done if anyone is interested).
Onto the technical side. I’m very happy with the laminated IPS, power cleaner, and battery. I walk to my local coffee shop every Sunday and wanted to be able to use headphones to play while I’m there. From what I read and tested the power cleaner was a necessity after I installed the screen and today was the trial run, it worked great, no noise on the output at all. I’m not so pleased with the shell though. There is multiple gaps around the screen that are noticeable when you look for them. Not the end of the world and I can live with it but I’m kinda disappointed. Not sure if this is common with these shells. Potential mods are tactile L/R switches since the originals are pretty mushy. But I need to get some more time with the unit before I actually decide if I want to do them. Plus they look like a pain in the rear to desolder. Same thing with the speaker. The original is plenty loud but I may need an amp for public spaces like the subway when I’m using headphones. Gotta wait and see. I also want to get some holographic stickers for the back, including a service center one with Mario. If anyone has an Etsy Seller they like or produces them feel free to link the store!

I've jumped feet first into my first Dakboard setup over the last 48 hours. This post ended up being longer than expected.. I don't really do TLDRs so... Strap IN!

My Family needed a better way to manage our calendar as summer approached, and I'd heard of Dakboard previously but had never used it before. I signed up for the essential plan and started building a screen. Got something I was happy with for a proof of concept for the Wife and we proceeded.
Version 1 started as just a TV hung sideways with a Raspberry PI pilfered from my 3D printer.
Version 2 resulted in a trip to the hardware store, a new chop saw and some pre-finished oak..

Now, as I sit here and drink my morning drink of choice, I start thinking about other screens to build out, messages for birthdays, slimmed down versions for when family visits, etc. I jump on and hit add screen and then another, and get hit with a message about being charged extra $5 per screen over the 2 I have. While I understand some storage limitations, and not wanting people to burn bandwidth using direct links to display 100s of screens for only $5 a month.

BUT could there be a way for Dak to create screens that are 'inactive' or not viewable either by direct link, or being linked to a display? Meaning I could design a few more screens, and then only activate them by either de-activating 1 of the 2 I have active or by paying for an additional screen? This would allow users to create a few templates of their own and not have to re-build the wheel every time they want to change things up.
Overall, I'm super pleased with Dakboard and can only envision it getting better from here! I even got a win in the first 12 hours of it being up, My wife went to ask me the weather outside, and stopped herself, and was just like "Oh, Never mind, its right on the screen!"

I have both physical and digital products in my store. After the order process is completed, I want a mail to be sent informing the customer accordingly. For physical orders, the default template from WooCommerce is sufficient for me. However, for the digital, downloadable products, I would like to add a download button. Can anyone tell me how to send different mails for the same order status depending on the product category (physical, digital) and how to integrate a download button, which then also refers to the corresponding downloadable product?

I was experimenting with something with Kubernetes Persistent Volumes, I can't find a clear explanation in Kubernetes documentation and the behaviour is not the one I am expecting so I like to ask here.

So I am assuming whatever in '/Volumes/Data/data' in the host should be visible at '/data' directory at container. Is this assumption correct? Because this is definitely not happening at the moment.
My second assumption is, whatever I save at '/data' should be visible at host, which is also not happening.
I can see from Kubernetes console that everything started correctly, (Persistent Volume, Claim, Deployment, Pod, Service...)
Am I understanding the persistent volume concept correctly at all?
PS. I am trying this in a Mac with Docker (18.05.0-ce-mac67(25042) -Channel edge), may be it should not work at Mac?

I have a view for an Image model that shows the image and has a few different features associated with the image depending on who the user is.
If the person viewing the image is the owner of the image (and they're authenticated), I am changing a heading field to refer to that user, and I'm also separately loading the JavaScript features later on in the page. So I am submitting a {% if user.is_authenticated and user == image.owner %} query two or more times whenever the page loads so that each section is user specific.
I have a few questions about this (and forgive me if they're dumb, I'm pretty new to Django):

• Is there a way to store the result of this query within the template and refer to it later so that I only have to query the database once?
• If not, is it standard to create separate templates for each user type and then put the user logic into the view? I'll potentially end up with a lot of repeated code if I do this since the pages are very similar except the owner has a few more features.
• Or is there something else I should be doing on this that I haven't thought about or may not be aware of?

I looked at {% load cache %}, but this seems more focused on subsequent renderings of a view rather than saving the partial results on the first render.

I was considering creating a range of greetings cards, featuring illustrations which use photos of iconic tv scenes/celebrities as references. However from my understanding, unless I get permission this is copyright infringement.
However, I see vast amounts of etsy stores that sell similar items, some of which are quite sizable. Do all of these stores really get permission, or are most of them technically illegal? I would've assumed that the cost of any kind of license would massively outweigh what you would be able to earn from selling such items.

Beginner here, living in an apartment where I can't store large equipment. I'm looking for a cheap faux material I can fumble around with, the basic tools to get started, and a book or template I can use to start learning how to master slim and passport wallets. Any advice is appreciated.

So I started an Etsy shop in 2019 where I handpainted leather jackets, I sold 3 and got one positive review. This was over a couple of months and I think the fact I had only a few niche listing meant i didn’t take it that far and I kind of abandoned it altogether.
Recently I’ve been listing POD items which I have realised is not the direction I want to go in. I decided that I should focus small ticket items and a wide range of greetings cards and build up if I want to make my own higher ticket items down the line with my own production.
My dilemma is whether to use the current store with my grand total of three sales and a few completely unsuccessful listings of start a new with consistent listings. More of them and covering a specific niche of product.

Born in Newark, New Jersey in 1966, Daniel LaRusso lived there until his mother moved the two out to Reseda, California in 1984. Upon arriving in Reseda, Daniel made quick foes with the Cobra Kai karate dojo, especially top student Johnny Lawrence and sensei John Kreese. While taking a beating from the Cobra Kais after a school dance, Daniel was saved by Mr. Miyagi, the handyman at his apartment complex. Daniel was taught karate by Mr. Miyagi, entering a lifelong friendship with the man. After winning the All-Valley Karate Tournament two years in a row, Daniel went on to marry a woman named Amanda, have two kids, and open a car dealership. When Johnny reopened the Cobra Kai dojo, Daniel opened the Miyagi-Do karate dojo in order to train new students.

Hello and welcome!
Here is the tale of my adventure with the headhunting banner we got for the Siracusa AK event, Through a path of briars...
So, I am a MASSIVE Texas fan, she's my girl, no one is better than my lovely, quiet and stalwart Texas, last of her name and prime pestering target of Lappland. Essentially this means I've been saving every single orundum I own ever since the announcement of a TEXAS EVENT! (oh god the excitement!)
Finally, our cool chika was gonna get her own event and even better than that, BECOME A 6 STAR OP!
So, I saved and saved, spending nothing on Mylnar's banner because I got him for free on my 4th pull (Yes, I know, you hate me :D) and managed to save 240k pure orundum, alongside my life savings of 720 OP, so basically I was SET AF for this banner.
And boy what a banner it was, I shall now tell you what happened and how:
Day one, hour one, minuet one - Spend all my free tokens/rolls/ten pull and get nothing.. spend another 30k and pull the girl, the lady, the wolf herself, my beloved TEXAS as I was sitting in my car waiting for the workday to start 15 mins from now. Absolute elation, listened to every voice line, made her main bae on the screen and immediately got her to E2/90 and began her road to M3 (third skill ofc). Used her absolutely everywhere and my god, she's so god damn powerful and cool (UGH, I'm such a simp! :P)
That was that for 2 days... I did the event and nothing else, that is until I just so happen to watch a video witch (and to my shame) showed me that in the Limited Pool was my favorite Horse Lady, the one and only Nearl The Radiant Knight, who to my shame, I had sobbingly failed to pull on her banner all those months ago.
Suddenly a fire was lit underneath me, I WILL NOT MISS THIS CHANCE AGAIN! I screamed internally, as I had every intention of pulling for Penance anyway to add her to my wonderous collection, but like on the last day after exhausting all the free pulls I got.
As I finish work and head home, the game resets and I get my daily free pull. Who should it be, but of course: Main Bae Texas once again! Which is fine because hey, why not right? But I'm no whale, I don't spend anything on this beautiful game other than my time (which I give freely) so getting another rank and reducing her already cheap DP -1 was fine with me, but the new mission was to spend all the necessary orundum to bring home NTR once and for all, and boy did I not know what the game had in store for me...
I lie on my bed, two pillows stuffed under my chest, hand gripped tightly... It was time to say goodbye to my mountain of orundum I had so cautiously saved, I was a man on a mission. I pulled 10 at a time, and to my surprise, I got so very many 6 stars!
First came Horn, the amazing "Tank" (LOL) that I Had been jibbed back a year ago and never got! Oh the envy I had over my friends, so that was simply amazing, next came (drumroll please...) YET ANOTHER TEXAS! WOW, I mean damn girl, I love you but STAHP! Nah, I could never be mad at you <3.
After that I got Stainless (eww) certainly didn't want him, but eh, another sixer never hurt. Next came another lady I didn't much care for in the form of Archetto, so I was like: "Oh cool, I spose" don't gotta grab her in the store now", but finally, I get a double pull and who does it happen to be? None other than the lady of Mafia backed Justice herself, Penance! or should I say, Penance and her twin sister, cos I got two of her in one pull, which is decent because she's got a high DP cost and I totally wanna abuse the game with her and mommy Mudrock /kiss.
On the way to 300 pulls, we're now sitting at 180, so we've passed the point of no return and then some, I go again and out comes Fiametta (Who I totally have the hawts for btw!) and despite her not quite fitting my all star team, she'll do will in my reserves, blowing fools to bits. So yeah, lots of decent luck on the way, every time the bag glows I'm just begging God to let me get NTR before 300 so I could be done and dusted.
We now enter the cold streak! Not a damn thing for ages, it's not until pity kicks in that I get another in the form of Blemishine, who is just cute and darling, but I already had... But hey, will take! We keep going and keep going and not we near the very end, we are at exactly 297/300 rolls, so it's time to stop my tenners, ignore the number on the top right having lost so much weight, and roll 3 little singles to the finish line.
I did exactly that, and the game poetically decided that on pull 300, I would yet once again get my main girl, my own true love, Texas for the fourth time! TALK ABOUT LIMITED! I sigh, give her a sly smile and tell her I loved her too (who knew this former gangster could be so damn clingy!)
I open the spark show, click on NTR and complete the mission! I bought her skin day one just in case I would ever get her (looking at you too Dusk -.-) and took her home where she belonged, with the hoard of other sixers I not gotta build after the Orirock event we got here ends, which is fine cos I got like 10 mil LMD anyway due to it being 1 of 2 stages I throw my energy at!
So, how's that for 300 pulls eh? 10 sixers, 10 free tokens, 1 free ten pull, 168,000 Orundumb leaving me with a widdle over 33k for the next limited (Yato) or whoomever else grabs my attention before then.
