When I first started doing this a few weeks back the map/directions was done directly in door dash. Now the map/directions takes me to Apple Maps. I find it very tedious to jump between apps, is there any way to get back to using the map in the door dash app?

I'm considering a job opportunity as a remote UI/UX Front-End Developer for [Company Name]. The job involves creating UI/UX designs, implementing them using HTML, CSS, ReactJS, TypeScript, and mentoring junior devs.
However, the first 3 months are solely on design in Figma, then switching to coding. The pay is 130k with equity, lower than my current 147k.
A bit about me: 7 years of software developemt, focusing on frontend and cloud services previously a senior role and React and TypeScript.
I'm unsure about the 3-month design focus and lower salary despite broader responsibilities. Is this a good career move? Should the design period and salary cut be a concern? Any insights appreciated! I'll leave my personal opinions out of it. But I'ld love to hear your thoughts an concerns and birng them up in the interview.

Went to Birmingham NEC for an expo, but because my car was in for service, I had to take the bike. Because I was working at the expo, I could only get out 2 hours after it ended.
When I got to the car park, I heard my disc break alarm going off. Multiple guys around my SV650, one chap kicking my steering wheel to break the lock. Managed to fend them off, mainly thanks to Jamie, another biker who parked next to me and was there at the same time. When they realised they couldn't take the bike, they kicked it over. As again, disc break was on, so even if they get the lock off, they still would not have taken the bike probably.
I quickly packed my bags on, and got on the motorway back to south, fuming for a solid 30 minutes before I had to stop for petrol. Bumped into 3 riders, whom I could share the events with, allowing me to properly relax.
Once I got back on the bike, I realised how immensily lucky I was, sitting on my bike with zero riding affecting damage. Engine guard & bar ends saved everything, especially because Jamie also slowed the fall of the bike. Steering lock is still there, but it's definitely bent, it's only about 5% off from the center. Lock works, but inserting the key is now tricky. Nothing else wrong with it the bike, so probably it won't cost me more than £2-300. (hopefully)
Lessons learned: - Disc break lock is not theft prevention, it's theft protection. These morons didn't know what it was, otherwise what was the point of any of what they were doing? They had no grinder on them. - Birmingham is full of c*nts, never take a bike there - Birmingham NEC has ZERO security in the car park, 2 hours after the daily event ends. There were still nearly 100 cars on site, yet zero staff to protect a PAID car park.

Hi! New to Planet Fitness.
My fiance recently became a black card member and brought me to one of the gyms as a guest to check it out. I liked it and want to sign up, but I'm in-between the different memberships.
I'd prefer to use the basic membership to save some money, but I like the prospect of going to different gym locations due to there being a gym by my work and a gym by my house. My question is - if I become a basic member and make my home gym the one by my work, can I still be my fiance's guest so we can use the one by our home? Or can a basic member not be a guest anymore and I'll just have to go for the more expensive membership?
I tried searching for an answer to this but can't find anything in that states it outright. I'm just finding that "anyone can be a guest so long as they meet the age requirement".

I'm a Multi-Para/Novella style rper, and I get quite into worldbuilding and narrative craftsmanship. Please be reciprocal in that regard.
I use a lot of horror-stylized Dark-Fantasy the likes of Berserk, Castlevania, and Claymore, and I'm into general D&D-style High-Fantasy too.
I'm fond of anime-ish aesthetics, and I'm not into picrews, AI art, or real life face claims.
Being said, onto what I'm looking for.
I'm working on a character who can best be described as a murderous vagabond.

He's known as The Riven. And he's kind of a bad guy. This figure is disdainfully regarded as a monstrous manslayer and kingslayer, trailed by ghoulish rumors. He is wanted for his heinous actions, including high treason, murder, and conspiracy, and he is known to be a massive brute in full armor, wielding a massive spear.
I like running him against characters who would serve as a foil to his evil actions. They could be hunting him for some transgression he's committed against them, or they could be working on behalf of a similar agency.
[Ex. Your character is the Paige of a Duke who was recently slain by a certain, murderous vagabond. You hunt him down to seek revenge...or answers.]
He also works well against more lighthearted characters who would struggle to maintain such a bright disposition in an otherwise foreboding world. For example, healers, kind strangers, magi, etc.
[Ex. Your character meets a bloodied and unconscious brute in the woods outside of a city. She naturally wishes to provide aid.]
I don't like "mercenaries" or "just looking for a good fight" characters, as they often lack conviction that helps make the rp feel more multi-dimensional.

Hi, I am a high school student and I want to write a mathematics extended essay (a requirement for the IB diploma) on the 2d wave equation and model the motion of vibrating circular and rectangular membranes. As an interesting application or rather demonstration of the topic I found Chladni patterns. My question is can I model these patterns using only the 2d wave equation. If not (probably not) to what extent can I model them using only the wave equation? I want to only use the wave equation because when I account for other physical variables the problem might get too hard for me and probably exceed the word limit and it may also become too physicy for a math ee. As I am about to join another, slightly horror inspired campaign, Im currently trying to theorycraft a new build and concept for that, which got me thinking... What might be some interesting, maybe even out of the box ideas for a Changeling character and how would you build and conceptualise them?
In this case, starting at Lv.3 with one free feat, theorycrafting in what direction they might develop based on a vague concept pitch that fits with both lineage and class/subclass. Not that it matters much while throwing together ideas, but the rest of the party are an Eladrin Lycan Bloodhunter and a Tabaxi Artificer Armorer.
So far I've got vague ideas for:

• Rogue Soulknife - Going hard on the 'not traceable criminal' troupe, as you don't use real weapons and can disappear in the next crowd at any time. Maybe even picking up two levels in warlock for 'Mask of many Faces' for easy disguises with a handwave.
• Moon Druid/Beast Barbarian - A bit of a Manticor-type of idea, combining the barbarians natural rage weapons with Wildshape. Could be played with an invasive mindset of 'consume and replace', think 'The Thing'. Might be even more interesting if you can get the DM on board to rule on using shapechange in your wildshaped animal forms. - Everyones joking until the lion grows a scorpion tail and antlers-
• Of course, the usual social Bard build - Going probably Eloquence so barely anyone can see through your false faces, while probably picking up the wanted flavor of warlock later on to get EB and some invocations out of it.

Besides those tho, what other ideas come to mind for you all, that might be interesting to pull of with Changeling as the basics? Any random concept thoughts or experiences highly welcome!

I'm trying to use only Twitch to stream, and of course I want my chat to talk and me see it. Of course, the recommendation is that I use the in game overlay so I can see the messages yet not keep Alt + Tabbing. Problem is, I can't see the overlay when I play anything. Anything that works only does it once, anything that doesn't work has no explanation or reason, and there is lacking documentation to help me. Any tips?

I recently built my console setup and it looks amazing. Xbox series X, LG C1 and all the pretty lights and aesthetics.
I recently ordered a webcam (Logitech C920) and a Mic (HyperX Quadcast) along with boom arms to hold them up.
I’ve been doing research about Streamlabs, setting up a twitch account and more.
Can someone spell out to me how to go about actually doing it?
From what I understand/questions so far

1. Plug the webcam directly Into the Xbox
   
2. The mic….do I just plug the USB into any usb port for power (have usb port on my desk) then plug an Aux cord from the Xbox controller to the mic? Or the Aux cord from the headset to the mic?
   
3. I guess I can use Streamlabs on the computers to setup how I want the stream to look, connect twitch to it, then start the stream from the Xbox?
   

I don’t really have a good pc, I have a laptop that’s kinda old with with a geoforce 940m and intel core i7? (Someone tell me if that’s decent) I don’t know if I need a better laptop. Might eventually get one and stream on that.
But any clear advice for console streaming I’d appreciate please! Am I getting things right? (Materials aren’t in till maybe Wednesday)

It seems like such references are common in hip hop, and a sign of respect (as Lil Wayne explained in Dr. Carter!).
Pop music definitely uses musical interpolation and sampling (ie Charli XCX's You Used to Know Me using Robin S's Show Me Love), but I'm not coming up with a lot of examples of lyrical referencing. Curious about other examples that exist outside hip hop

I also love using stepn when I’m stuck waiting for someone or if I want to do something with a freind, I will just say lets go for a hike.
What do you guys think of paying with Sparks? I think it will be easier to onboard users. I like it.
Earlier this year I was down in the dumps about Stepn, but still holding. I even bought in a little more at what I hope is the bottom.
It excites me to see the devs adding new features to the app. Even though I am down significantly at the moment, this project has still been a net force for good in my life.

Ok... so I have started my game engine development. Thank fully I do have kind of a road map for me to do. I am currently working on my math side of the game engine like vectors transforms etc. My question for some of you more experienced engine dev is, did you create your own math, string libraries or use the standard libraries.
I know for some libraries you want to make your own because it doesn't have certain things you need or it doesn't work with your engine.

Sorry this is going to be long! I’m 27 and have been working in the accounting industry since graduating college in 2019 with BS in accounting and a minor in creative writing. I was on track climbing the public accounting ladder but getting my CPA on top of multiple busy seasons burnt me out to the point that I quit. I didn’t hate it or anything—I made good money and actually really enjoyed having the space to problem solve without being micromanaged, but I was burned out enough that everything and everyone pissed me off for no reason and I knew that wasn’t fair to my coworkers. I took two months off between jobs in the hopes that it’d cure my burnout. It didn’t, unsurprisingly.
I took an “easier” job hoping that it would be lower stress, but my supervisor constantly belittles me and is horrible at communication, and even if the work itself is simple, having to deal with that on a daily basis has made my mental health worse than ever to the point that I don’t go a day without wondering if I should just end it. The burnout is worse than ever, and I haven’t even been at this job for a full year yet. I genuinely like(d) accounting and used to think I was pretty good at it, but my supervisor has all but shattered that. I’ve been job hunting for months at this point, but I’m having trouble. I have somewhat specialized experience (government accounting) that seems to make it difficult to get non-gov jobs (and the gov is really slow to respond/reach out regarding job apps) IME.
At this point, I’m throwing everything at the wall to find ways to get myself out of this helplessness I’m feeling. I’ve been considering switching to something unrelated to accounting, mainly due to my current job killing my confidence (and sanity) and the difficulty I’ve had with applying for positions in the industry. I wish I could take a year off to just focus on enjoying life and come back to accounting with fresh eyes, but that’s not really financially feasible. I’ve been looking at all sorts of different entry level positions that suit my professional/personal interests—working with my hands, being active/in nature, helping people, and writing, among other things. I don’t need to love my job, but I think a change of scenery could help me with my current funk.
But I’m afraid of leaving my cushy job for something entry level that pays less. I used to think lifestyle creep was about buying cars or going on expensive vacations or going out to eat every day, but for me it’s been being able to buy groceries without first checking my bank account and having enough stability to bring pets (two cats and a dog) into my life. I don’t know if I could provide them the same quality of life if I switch to a lower paying job, and I make more money than my partner, so it’s not really feasible for him to take on most of the financial burden while I prance around trying new things out.
That being said, I worry about what I might do to myself if I spend any more time at this job. I feel like I need an urgent change, but I feel trapped because of money (and health insurance) and the uncertainty of being able to support my current lifestyle on a lower income. I think I can relearn how to live on less for myself, but I feel like I owe it to my partner (even though he told me to quit my job) and pets to continue bringing in enough to live comfortably.
Has anyone else experienced this set of circumstances, and how did you overcome them? How do you deal with reverse lifestyle creep? Does making a huge career shift seem too outrageous/disproportionate to my current situation? How do you take the leap when thinking about changing careers? I feel so lost and unsure what the right choice is.

Loving the game so far, but here are a couple things that are irking me.

• Reduced enforcer reaction time to crime scenes, especially ones in apartments. It doesn’t really make sense to me that I’m a detective doing these cases FOR the enforcers and they’re auto aggro if I’m in the area, maybe it needs a lore explanation, maybe it does and I missed it, but whatever, but if that’s the case I think it would add to the “city of crime” trope that’s put on the game if enforcers took a while to respond, as they’re all constantly wrapped up dealing with other crimes. It’d be like a penalty for taking too long either getting to the crime scene or spending too long in the area. Most of the time I can beat them by like, 5-10 minutes, so I’m not asking for much more time, just a bit.

-It’d be very interesting if NPCs had hangout spots outside of work and home. The prime example I have is all the matchbooks laying around. Make them useful and related to the local businesses so if you find them lying around, you know that person has or actively visits that business. This would definitely add to the noir trope.
I have a few more, but I don’t have the words to explain them fully. Let me know what you guys think. Besides some of the big bugs I’m having a blast.

That's at least 8 Miles more than I usually do but it's been slow lately.
Two orders from 1 restaurant and 1 from a restaurant about 2 mi away from that.
I pick all three of them up and one of the guys asked me why I was taking so long.

So I drove all the orders to the tune of 13 miles and of course the guy complaining was in a third floor apartment with one item. The tip was $2

Okay guys another update i didn’t think i would be making so soon lol.
Good things first, i started seeing a therapist and it’s going very well! Everything for my college is finalized and i’m very happy. I’ve also made a lot of friends that’ll be going there through social media so i’m excited to meet them
Now the other parts, i won’t be attending the summer program because for the past few days i’ve been having fainting spells and the doctors don’t know what’s causing it. They say it could be due to the head injury but it could be other factors as well so i’ll have to stay for the summer for further testing. I’m upset that i won’t be moving in when i wanted to but i’m happy i get to spend more time with my grandparents.
On to other news, my mom was recently arrested but not for the reason you may be thinking. So since i’ve had fainting spells i haven’t been driving because it’s dangerous duh. I think two days ago i had went to get my protein water bottle out of my car when i seen my tires were completely slashed. All 4 tires cut and stabbed deep. My windows and door handles were also covered in shit, like real nasty brown shit. As i am a teen girl i won’t portray myself as some kind of saint and act like i’ve never been in drama , i immediately assumed it was someone from my high school or something which was also weird cause i haven’t really argued with anyone recently. I woke my grandparents up and we went to the neighbors house to get footage and as you can guess where this is going my mother was seen on footage driving past the house a few times before getting out of her car and ruining my car. Honestly i’m not even mad about my car anymore i just want to know where the hell she even got shit from. Like in the video it looked like she was using a diaper and as far as i know none of my relatives have young babies so who shitty diapers did she take? Like is it easy to obtain a shitty pamper? why would she even want to hold shitty pampers. I genuinely just want to ask her where did she ever get shitty diapers from. I stay up at night thinking about this because i’m genuinely so confused on how she got shitty diapers.
Anyways. the cops arrested her pretty quick for damaging of property and trespassing and she’s waiting for someone to bail her out. Also my brother had come across the post and texted me about him never drinking my ensures and my mom having the packs of them in her closet. He apologized again but i honestly could not care less at the moment. This whole situation is harming my inner peace and i can not focus on them anymore. The thought of them being in the same state as me already messes with my energy. Even if he didn’t drink the insures and she stole them for fun i don’t care anymore, i’ve started using protein powder and it tastes way better anyways. My new macbook has arrived and it’s so much better than my last one.

Has anyone else uses genie plus at disney recently. WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY!!! So I paid 15 dollars per person per park. Which came out to 120 for 2 days for a family of 4. I may as well have just thrown that down the toilet. You can start booking your first rise at 7 am. I logged on at 702 and was unable to book anything until noon. All of the slots were used up. Then I did book a noon experience and when we arrived only 4 of the 6 people were booked for the ride. ( I assume this was a mistake made by me, however I never did this before). We ended up having to leave 2 ppl of our party to sit and wait for us even tho they paid bc they had to book their ride and they were unable to get in until hours later then!!! The worker was extremely rude and unhelpful. Then I was able to actually book another ride at 3. After that ride I was unable to get any more bookings and had to use the regular lines. So I paid all this money to only be able to use it once! The second day was very similar. This is insane and a major disney flaw!!
