2023.06.09 06:33 R4INMAN Best way to buy a unlocked Galaxy S23 Ultra for Visible?
Looking to finance a S23 Ultra and joining Visible from T-Mobile. Current best options I see for the S23 Ultra are:
- Either buying directly from Visible
- Through Samsung's website (they have a pickup option to get it from Best Buy to get it earlier vs delivery). If anyone has done the pickup method from Best Buy, they're not gonna tell you to activate the phone through Verizon, T-Mobile, Google Fi, or AT&T right?.. Hope not.
Which is the best option?

Looking to compare the two. Does the B2 really differ that much in quality from the C2, and how does it compare to the higher end QLEDs?

Hi, Asking for my cousin brother. He recently graduated from college. He got contract positions as Fullstack dev in Samsung (6+ months) and UI developer(10+ months) role in H.E.B. Hourly rate for both the companies are same, the only difference is H.E.B. is fully remote and Samsung is hybrid. Which will be the better choice ?

2023.06.09 03:37 7GreenOrbs Dual Thunderbolt Controller Stutter - (Much Improved Performance on a single JHL7000 vs 2x JHL6000 Series Controllers)
| I recently purchased a new eGPU that uses a newer JHL7440 controller compared with my previous eGPU which uses two controllers (a JHL6540 and a second JHL6240). I observed a surprising result where the lows were much better on the new eGPU compared with the old one. Both eGPUs were tested with the same 4070Ti graphics card and Samsung Book3 Pro 360 with a i7-1360p laptop. Pictures of eGPUs Tested The older dual controller eGPU performed better in synthetic benchmarks like Timespy. Synthetic Benchmark (Timespy) However, in actual games, the dual controller eGPU demonstrated substantially lower CPU-95%-lows. In Horizon Zero Dawn, the JHL7440 based eGPU performed 37% better (48 fps vs. 35 fps). In the Shadow of the Tomb Raider, the new eGPU performed 60% better on the 95% lows (78 fps vs 50 fps) compared with the dual controller solution. This was the difference between playable with G-Sync and a unplayable stuttery mess. Horizon Zero Dawn Benchmark Shadow of the Tomb Raider Benchmark This was an unexpected result so a bit of further research seems to suggest a potential cause for this issue. In the eGPU.io review of the Razer Core-X-Chroma they report the following: We have learned single-Thunderbolt 3 controller enclosures can experience mouse/keyboard lag issues during heavy load. The remedy is to limit device-to-host bandwidth through Thunderbolt 3 enclosure firmware. This is not an acceptable workaround because the already-limited bandwidth (22Gbps) of the Thunderbolt 3 connection is reduced further. Fortunately there’s another solution. Razer was the first to implement a hardware fix for mouse/keyboard lag by adding a second Thunderbolt 3 controller to the main board of the Razer Core V2. They did the same with this Core X Chroma. Basically, high end eGPUs of the earlier generation use a two controller solution to achieve 40Gbps bandwidth while still avoiding lag issues. However, my speculation is that this split setup causes the same type of problems as Crossfire or SLI. Having two controllers results in better synthetic results but when in actual gaming this results in stutter. Reviews have pointed out that while these dual controller setups are advertised as having a dedicated controllers for the GPU part and I/O expansion ports this is misleading because both controllers are daisy chained and share at most 4 PCIe lanes via a single cable (see https://egpu.io/razer-core-v2-review-think-inside-box/). I suspect that problems with this sharing of bandwidth and switching between the two daisy chained controllers can cause issues when using a more demanding 4070Ti card that I didn't experience using a 3060 or 3060Ti for example. Conclusion: Older eGPUs based on single JHL6000 series controllers don't have enough bandwidth resulting in occasional mouse freezing issues (according to Razer). Higher end dual controller designs (like the Mantiz Saturn Pro or Razer Chroma X) tried to fix this by using adding an extra controller. When using newemore powerful graphics cards (4070Ti and 4080), however, I observed microstuttering on a dual controller system that wasn't observed when a newer single JHL7000 series controller is used. Note: Thanks to u/glamdivitionen and u/esuil for pointing out that the JHL7440 controller is TB3. For some reason, I thought I read that it was TB4 and that the performance difference was simply due to increased bandwidth. These results suggest to me that further performance increases may be observed when TB4 compatible eGPU's come on the market. submitted by 7GreenOrbs to eGPU [link] [comments] |

2023.06.09 01:21 FaIc0 Xiaomi 13 Ultra vs Samsung S23 Ultra
Hi everyone! I'm looking to upgrade from my iPhone 13 to either the Xiaomi 13 Ultra or the Samsung S23 Ultra and not sure which one to get. I've been an Android user for most of my life, but swapped to an iPhone two years ago to see how they are. It was ok at first but now it just feels like my battery is draining faster and faster and having to go through iCloud to downloaded your gallery is a bit annoying.
In terms of what I use my phone for, it's mostly just for texting, Snapchat, taking pictures and videos. I go to quite a bit of concerts and while I do take some photos and videos, I make sure not to record the whole thing. One thing that seemed to be an issue recently with my iPhone was that a lot of my pictures and videos from a recent concert came out blurry even though I was within the first three rows. It also seemed like it kept trying to focus on the screen behind the performers rather than themselves, which is an issue I haven't had since the S8+.
Right now I'm leaning towards the S23U. It's a brand I'm familiar with and the pictures this person took with it at the same concert came out like it was a professional camera. I really don't know anything about Xiaomi other than the praise it's camera gets. I don't really care about UI or support, what it mostly comes down to is, what takes the better photo and records the better videos?

2023.06.08 21:20 WubbDubbz First Build Check
I am building my first PC. I've had the Lenovo y700 Touch FOREVER. Decided I needed to upgrade. So I built a list of parts up on PCPartPicker. I also wanted to run with AMD vs Intel or GeForce. I am just very new when it comes to computer knowledge. I had one of my friends help me choose parts, so they should be compatible lol. I will be ordering most of these over the next week.
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/WVg3Kp CPU AMD Ryzen 5 7600 3.8GHz 6-Core $220 - Amazon
CPU Cooler Noctua NH-D15 chromax.black $120 - Amazon
Motherboard MSI PRO B650-P ATX AM5 $146 - Amazon
Memory TEAMGROUP T-Force Vulcan 32GB 2x16GB DDR5-5600 CL36 $81 - Newegg
Storage Samsung 980 Pro 2TB $130 - Adorama
GPU PowerColor Red Dragon OC Radeon RX 6800 XT 16GB $510 - Newegg
For the GPU I'm torn between the 6800XT ($510) and 6700XT ($330)
Case (subject to change) Fractal Design Meshify C ATX $100
This will change once I order the parts. I just want something that looks sleek, has 3 120mm fans included and possibility for 2 140mms. I liked the abstract look that Fractal had.
PSU Corsair RM750 80+Gold $120 - Amazon
Could go down to 650, but if I roll with this one. I can save money on my case and PSU, as long as I choose corsair. I thinks it's only $25 all together though.

2023.06.08 21:00 nexusultra LG 49gr85dc-b vs Samsung Neo G9
Hi guys!
Thinking of upgrading from 34 to 49.
I am eyeing these two for now. Not sure which one will be better.
Got a 4090 FE if that matters. LG is new, neo g9 is loved by the community.
I can get the LG for retail while I will be getting the neo g9 used (ebay certified) for nearly similar pricing.
Which one would be better? Not a lot of people have the LG but anything helps!
P.S: Not getting any qdoled panels for now.

2023.06.08 20:18 szuro Nokia 2660 vs 2780
Looking at specs of both 2660 and 2780, the latter looks much more impressive. However, does it make any difference in everyday use?
I want to buy a Nokia flip phone, and noticed that the my local market has only the 2660 model available. And I'm wondering whether I should import the 2780 or just stick with what's available?
I'd rather not buy a second-hand phone, due to personal reasons.
Any opinions on this matter?
Go with 2660 or import 2780?

2023.06.08 19:30 MarianCostabrava Moto Edge 40 or OnePlus 10T?
Pros of the Moto: * lighter and smaller build * ip 68 and aluminium frame * better PD wattage with the included adaptor, esential for things like laptop when on the go (68w vs 45w)
Pros of 10T: * nicer UI (coming from a Samsung, I don t really care for the old OxygenOS) * slightly nicer photos, when both used with stock camera. Note that the 10T has better GCam support, as it has a Snapdragon processor * flat screen * more accesibile accessories * as bad as it might be, still better software support compared to Moto
Or would you recommend the OnePlus 10R? The plastic frame and back don t seem that durable to me, really. Also, i wouldn t benefit that much from the snapdragon G1+, as i don t do heavy game
