Recently i'm swapping to minisplits for two rooms, I have the sizing I want and am already in contact with a HVAC and electrician to wire/hook it all up. Most the HVAC guys don't normally work with them, so the one I settled on is advising me to select the model I think would be best.
I have been looking at hunter & cooper, since I can get a fantastic deal for 2 units at about 3 thousand for 36000 btu, but I don't see much in the way of recommendations for them. Are they a reliable brand? Are there any brands YOU would recommend for around the same price point? Due to the cabinets I am required to use two floor units but can use a wall 12000 btu unit and a floor 24000 btu unit (my current selection). As far as I can tell C&H offers a 7 year warranty only at best.

I've only been able to get in 2 games in the last hour. I got into one match on quick play, 1 in hardcore and as soon as the hardcore match ended the game crashed. This is the first time I've had any issues with ping. Is this just a servers issue?

I wanted to put my thoughts on it because I completely agree.
I think Cindy has some serious internalised misogyny that she needs to deal with. I cannot understand how she can say to the world with her whole chest how much she still loves Andrew and how “sweet, kind and thoughtful” he is whilst body shaming this other woman and calling her derogatory names.
First of all, she’s clearly let this weight loss go to her head and she thinks now because she’s lost a shit load of weight (with an ED by the way), she can comment on women bigger than her. It’s great when people lose weight, but one thing I cannot stand is formerly fat people being nasty about other fat people now they’re thin. I’m overweight myself and trying to lose weight and cannot imagine getting to my goal weight and then shaming people for being bigger than me because I KNOW how shitty it feels.
Secondly, Andrew is the one who broke their wedding vows. My own experiences are that I have been cheated on by an ex and then the next ex left me for a younger woman too. I was cheated on by my first ex with a close friend of mine, so I had a reason to be angry at her too. But Cindy doesn’t know this woman, and this woman owes her nothing. My second ex left me for a girl I didn’t know and never once have I blamed her, tried to contact her or said anything about her, because why should I get angry at her? She’s a stranger, and she’s probably a lovely person. It’s my ex that was the piece of shit for what he did.
Cindy have some serious competition complex with other women and it’s gross, she really does hate women. No wonder she doesn’t have any female friends. And when she said “Mrs B is fine with me”… hmmm… Mrs B is fine with you being an embarrassing pick me on live reading out a message from HER husband saying “twerk!!”.
She craves male validation and I could never ever relate. She’s the kind of woman you don’t want to be around if you’re in a group of guys and girls. She seriously needs to grow up and cut contact with him and just stop talking about it. Grieve the relationship of course, I understand it’s been hard, but she’s embarrassing herself by putting him on a pedestal and being nasty about this woman. If she’s not careful they could take legal action for harassment or defamation.

I'm an MBA graduate who's read and seen a lot of PM-related software and methodology content.
I am working in a non-profit job with some PM tasks in it, but I'd prefer to do more hours in a for-profit business, doing PM exclusively. It seems like employers want PM people for junior positions who have 2-5 years of specialized experience, while I have 5+ years of more diluted PM/Administrator experience. I also haven't taken a PMI cert test yet, and the current year makes it difficult to predict form one month to the next what the CAPM test will look like. And frankly I'd like to take the CAPM once I'm ready to apply for an intermediate-level position.

Need help - I found locally a S160 JD with 32 hours well maintained with a cart/trailer that has no issues for $2250. A new S140 from the local JD dealership is $3160 but comes with the 2 year warranty. S240 is $3900 and 3 year warranty. Although the used one looks good, is it worth the gamble? Or should I go with the peace of mind with the warranty?

Former Minneapolis landlords stripped of properties in 2017 allege that city violated their rights

The landlords say the city owes them millions for forcing them to liquidate their properties.

With just two months to go before the six-year statute of limitations runs out, the real estate company of former landlords Stephen Frenz and Spiros Zorbalas is challenging the city of Minneapolis to another duel in court.
Frenz and Zorbalas' tumultuous history with Minneapolis seemed to conclude in 2017, when the city revoked their rental license and forced them to liquidate their vast apartment empire. But their company, Equity Residential, now argues city officials failed to follow the proper procedures, violating their constitutional rights and causing them to lose "multiple millions" of dollars they hope to recoup.
"The city will no doubt try to distract from its failings by attacking our clients' character, but no amount of distraction can obscure the simple truth of this case: the city of Minneapolis acted arbitrarily and capriciously to take away our clients' constitutionally protected rights," said Equity Residential lawyer Jack Perry in a statement. "Any right that a bureaucrat can take away with the stroke of a pen is no right at all."
On Tuesday, the city attorney's office had yet to formally respond to the lawsuit filed Monday, and officials there declined to comment. Mayor Jacob Frey's office also declined to comment on the suit, saying Frey was just a City Council member when Equity Residential's licenses were revoked in 2017.
Once owners of dozens of Minneapolis apartment buildings, Frenz and Zorbalas were forced by the city to relinquish many of their properties years ago.
In 2010, officials began the process of revoking Zorbalas' license owing to tenant complaints. Thousands of code violations were found, including inadequate heat in winter, overflowing garbage, pest infestations and broken fixtures. Zorbalas was allowed to keep his rental license for two more years pending appeal, but ultimately lost.
To avoid displacing many low-income tenants, city officials then negotiated a plan to transfer Zorbalas' approximately 50 properties to Frenz, owner of the Apartment Shop management company. Officials were adamant that Zorbalas have nothing to do with the properties.
Frenz assured them that would be the case, but he later admitted in subsequent proceedings that Zorbalas secretly remained an owner of Equity Residential. When city officials caught wind, they moved to strip Frenz's licenses as well.
Around the same time, tenants organized with the renter rights group Inquilinxs Unidxs Por Justicia (United Renters for Justice) to take the landlords to court. Frenz tried to get the suit dismissed, submitting fake leases to show that a majority of tenants in one building hadn't signed on. The landlords ultimately settled the class-action lawsuit for $18.5 million, and Frenz was slapped with an unusual felony perjury conviction.
In the suit filed this week, Equity Residential is alleging that a narrow procedural mistake entitles them to damages worth unspecified millions.
According to the complaint, Noah Schuchman — then Minneapolis' inspections director, who now serves as Duluth's chief administrative officer — wrote Equity Residential tenants on Oct. 26, 2016, that their landlord's rental license wouldn't be revoked until "all legal challenges are exhausted." This would have been in line with how the city dealt with Zorbalas in 2010-12.
But nine months later, Schuchman wrote Equity Residential that its licenses would not be renewed once they expired at the end of the month. The complaint alleges this was an "about-face" that amounted to "effective revocation," bypassing the landlords' "constitutionally protected property rights" to appeal.
The landlords were forced to liquidate some 30 buildings with less than a month's notice at a steep discount, according to the complaint. While they ultimately lost their appeal, waiting for that process to play out would have given them three and a half more months to sell their properties at market rate, the suit claims.
Many of the Equity Residential buildings were sold on contracts for deed that allowed Frenz and Zorbalas to retain their interest in the properties until the buyers paid the full purchase price, or reclaim ownership upon failure to pay. Minneapolis officials refused to issue the new owners rental licenses, and Equity Residential was entangled in a series of additional lawsuits. The company's complaint speculates that the city intended to "punish" Frenz and Zorbalas.

This will be a long post, but I think will help people who have to get a different perspective on relationships. Maybe you'll change something, maybe you won't, but you'll definitely see a new possibility. If you don't want to read the backstory, read the one paragraph in bold for tldr. So here goes...
Skipping all the high school relationship drama, just know I was desperate for a relationship in high school and even considered if I got a girl pregnant she would have to stay with me for life (yea was pretty bad, thank goodness it didn't happen). Had two brief relationships, both ended up crashing and burning.
On to college. First two years only stayed in dorm and played league of legends. Didn't go out to meet people (yet always thinking about girls). Starting third year went out to a bunch of club events. Met tons of girls. Got good at pick up (basically start a conversation with a girl then led to getting her number). For perspective every other event I would get 2-3 numbers/contacts a night. Even met many girls at train stations and would cold approach. I was in Boston so its relatively easy for student to get together.
How? I'm pretty attractive. Physically ok, height on the shorter side. What really made me attractive is that I'm charming. Like very authentic. People feel at ease with me. I am really interested in people and want to connect. Also i'm pretty funny, tho not intentionally. For example, I walked into class 20min late, everyone looked at me coming through the door. I gave a huge smile and thumbs up and sat down, there were a bunch of laughs. (Smile and thumbs up is my default if idk what to do).
SO YOU WOULD THINK, GIVEN MY HIGH CONTACTS WITH GIRLS AND CHARMING PERSONALITY, I WOULD HAVE GIRLS ALL OVER ME. Well you aren't wrong. Girls loved me (emphasis on girls). They would buy/bring me food, invite me to go out, ask for my number, save me seats at events, etc. YOUD THINK I BE HAPPY AF RIGHT? GIRLS FAWNING OVER ME, GOOD DEGREE AND JOB PROSEPCTS, PLENTY OF DISPOSABLE INCOME
No, not at all. I WAS TIRED AND FUSTRATED. Despite many many many dates with different girls, they never work out. The pattern was we met, have good connection, get number, go one date, text a few times, they leave and I'm back to square one. Very rarely do I have a second date. I've heard every excuse/reason there can be - lets just be friends, not looking for a relationship, busy with school/work, etc. HERE I AM THINKING, WHY CAN ME BEING SO POPULAR AND SMART AND CHARMING CANNOT GET A GF, WHILE AVERAGE JOES HAVE GF/BF. Pause for a second to think about that before reading next part.
Answer: I was fucking DESPERATE. When I first met a girl its cool and they like me enough to give number because I'm not attached to them. After first date, I consider how to make them my GF. Then I begin strategizing. When do i text them, what do I say, how do I make them think about me, when should I invite them. 70-80% of my waking time was devoted to thinking about girls since I always have 2-3 girls i'm actively pursuing at a time. Girls have a BS meter so once they smell desperation, they high tail out of there. This went on for 3 years until I graduated (with the few rare exceptions, but they all end in failure, some girls don't even talk to me anymore even though we were friends -insert sad face-).
On to the moment you've been waiting for, how did I get a GF (finally)? Several months after I graduated, I was in a seminar called Sex and Intimacy. I did a lot of introspective work during college and this was the one of the programs (non-college related).
I was sharing with a person in the program, about how I would get many numbers and have many dates but it never works out. When he replied, I expected him to be like 'that's impressive' or 'that's weird it never works out'. Instead he replied 'it sounds to me like you're trying to maximize your chance to find love'. Something clicked inside of me. I was looking for love externally. BECAUSE I DIDN'T HAVE IT INTERNALLY. Somewhere in my childhood I got caught in the 'i'm unlovable trap'. That realization was enough for me to internally say "I DONT NEED A GIRL TO HAVE/BE LOVED, I AM LOVE, I LOVE MYSELF. I felt damn good. Like 50lbs was lifted off my shoulders. The rest of the seminar I was too happy with my realization to get anything else.
A few days after, I was swiping on Facebook dating for the kicks (and not out of a doggedly desperate attempt to think every right swipe would result in a potential GF). And then I met her, lets call her Alice. We went out many many times, she became my GF, AND SHE LOVED ME. Like was seriously all over me (mustve been my charm hehe), and the relationship was fantastic. And it ended fantastically. When SHE broke up with me, I WAS HAPPY FOR HER that she wanted to pursue someone better, I even gave her a high five and took her home that night (after the seminar). On the train ride home I asked her about the better guy, and she told me a lot about him. I asked her 'why did it take so long for you to leave me and go to him' LOOOOOOL. She replied that she wasn't sure what she wanted until now.
I dropped her off then went home. That night, I cried my ass to sleep and realize in all my relationships I was a selfish prick only thinking of myself (which is why she ultimately left me). Then I called/messaged all my ex's and apologized for being a selfish prick and shared my story/what I learned, and thanked them for my relationship with them.
After I did that, I went to work, leaving behind 10 years of relationship baggage.

After story:
Do I have a gf now? No. I am completely happy being with myself and doing what I enjoy.
Will I pursue girls again? Not intentionally, I'm just living my day to day life to it's fullest. If by happenstance a girl magically appears in front of me, I'll give it a shot.
What have I learned in this entire ordeal?

1. The most important relationship is the one with yourself. If you don't love yourself, how can you expect anyone else to? (Aside from your parents, but that's different)
2. If you don't have the right mindset, no amount of strategy will get you the result you want. Even if you get the result, it will be unfulfilling and/or short-term
3. If you have the right mindset, you don't even need strategy. It comes to you almost effortlessly.

Hi guys! My company is offering the below two laptops for me for 1080p video editing and light to moderate motion graphic design (in PP + AE). I would like to hear some thoughts from you guys as to which one is better.

My verdict is that the Mac is better, but I would love some scrutiny over my analysis to make sure I'm not misinformed:

• Display: We can probably all agree that the MBP's display is superior. This is a major plus from the MBP for me. I've been color grading on my own M1 Max MBP display and I find it to be very accurate without doing extra calibration on my own, and the "reference modes" really come in handy.
• CPU: The 5480 has 4 more efficiency cores and higher clock speed than the M2 Pro chip. On paper, I think the 5480 wins out here.
• Media Engine: This is another important component. In my personal experience, and as tested by many YouTubers, the media engine makes a huge difference in editing and rendering when your footage is H.264 and ProRes. I wonder if this makes up for the M2 Pro chip being weaker?
• Thermal efficiency/throttling: I think it's widely known that laptops with Intel chips get thermal throttled like hell under heavy load, and even the most powerful chip drops significantly in performance when the laptop is unplugged. In contrast, the Apple Silicon laptops have shown to be extremely power efficient, and unplugging the laptop doesn't affect the performance much (if at all).
• GPU: This is the biggest blind spot for me. From some of the benchmarks I've seen, the RTX 2000 Ada seems to be rather powerful, but I'm not sure how much those 26 RT cores would be used in a video editing scenario? Would this GPU beat out the M2 Pro chip in a video editing scenario? I also wonder how much of its performance would be throttled due to thermal issues and when the laptop is unplugged.

Keep in mind that these are the configurations I was given, so let's just say we can't change any of the specs.

There are 2 lines (T1 & T2)
Main tram line leading to circuit is T1 with directions label "Antarès" and you may want to stop at the line terminus "Antares Stade Marie Marvingt" This leads to the 24H east entrance.
T1 trams showing "Université" are the opposite way getting from circuit to town.
Single ticket is 1.5 € ( one hour validity / as many trips on the network during this time)
Return ticket is 4.2 € (1 day validity / as many trips on the network during this time)
Tickets available on mostly every stop from automatic dispensers (Card and contactless payment accepted) and special booths opened at train station and Tram terminus near circuit.

My 5 month old has been sleeping great in the magic Merlin suit for 2 months now. She hated being swaddled from the start so her startle reflex was always an issue from when she was a newborn as she wakes herself up with it. As soon as she fit into the magic Merlin suit it was an instant game changer and she would typically sleep 7:30-pm-6am in it with the occasional early morning wake up at 3-4am.
She’s 5.5 months now and we know we need to transition her out as she gets better at rolling. She hasn’t rolled in the Merlin suit yet but we know she will be able to soon. She has been rolling back to tummy since 3 months and can roll tummy to back but hasn’t mastered that one yet. She has also occasionally managed to pull her arm out of the Merlin suit through the neck (no clue how she manages that) so all and all it’s time to get her out.
We tried cold turkey moving to a nested bean sleep sack but as soon as we lay her down she rolls to her tummy face down and screams. She tends to stay face down instead of turning her head to the side so I know she isn’t comfy! She also kicks her legs wildly waking herself up.
We are currently trying the Baby Breeza sleepsuit as kind of a step down because it’s less stiff then the Merlin and are having some luck but she is able to roll over in it and if she does will end up face down screaming. The breeza seems to help but I’m nervous about it being safe because she can roll in it if she tries hard enough.
Any tips or advice? I’ve searched this sub and every other parenting sub I can think of about transitioning out of the Merlin and nobody seems to have struggled the way we are. We typically rock her to sleep and place her in the crib once she is out. Any advice would be greatly welcome as we are out of ideas! If she could sleep at all in a sleep sack I’m sure she would eventually get used to it but right now with the rolling to her tummy face down screaming the sleep sack doesn’t work at all and we are at a loss on how to help her.

I have a son with autism who has broken 2 other(thankfully not 4k) tvs, but I get worries more and more everyday he'll break that one. I saw an ad for TVGuard but im just curious if anyone has used that or anything similar, and if it works well? Also, does it take away from the viewing experience, since it's acrylic?

Hello, I’m looking for some experience/tips from people who have tried copper IUDs, specifically in the US or using the Paragard. So backstory - I went on the pill in high school and had really bad reactions to hormones that eventually led me to stopping about a year later, after trying 3 different types that all gave me horrible cramps, mood swings, spotting, depression, etc. I gave up on birth control until I got into a long term relationship almost 2 years ago. I decided to go to Planned Parenthood to try the copper IUD despite hearing some negative reviews. I never actually got it because the doctor decided my cervix was too small after shoving two different Paragards in nearly all the way and taking them out. I once again gave up on birth control and was relying on pulling out for bc. Fast forward a year to a few months back when I go for my first Pap smear with an OBGYN in my hometown. She was an amazing Dr and has been in the field for 20 years. She said she would be happy to place one and my cervix is in fact not too small. Unfortunately, I was moving to a different state a few weeks later and she didn’t have any openings. I was also hesitant to get it after the first ordeal, it wasn’t very painful but was stressful and made me unsure if my cervix is an okay size for a copper IUD lol. Im thinking of making an appointment with a gyno in my area (that has good reviews) to try to get it placed again but I’m nervous. I’ve also considered going to Canada where I believe they have multiple sizes of copper IUD versus the one size fits all copper IUD in the US. Does anyone have any similar experience or thoughts on what I should do? Much appreciated!!
