Karen Lindsey, author of Divorced, Beheaded, Survived: A Feminist Reinterpretation of the Wives of Henry VIII puts forth a very interesting opinion on the way we should view Anne Boleyn's time at court:
The duty of service to one's betters was bound up in religious faith. The Tudors believed that God had ordained the social order of the world. A person's status was the position to which God had called them, and so service to their superiors was as service to God.
Only those of the highest pedigree and social connections could hope to find a job serving the king or queen. Anne Boleyn was not titled, but she was the granddaughter of a duke. Her father was a very wealthy and well-connected man who had served as the king's ambassador, and Anne's mother had served Elizabeth of York. Securing Anne a job as a lady in waiting to Queen Katharine was a boon for their family.
Anne was employed in a series of royal households from the time she was a very young child, learning the social graces that would entertain those who employed her. She could dance, play instruments, engage in witty conversation, and was well-read enough to debate on intellectual topics. She was the consummate professional in her work, and remained chaste while she waited for her father to arrange a good marriage for her.
At one point, Anne took the bull by the horns and tried to arrange her own marriage with the son of the Earl of Northumberland. The results were disastrous, as far as her career was concerned. Once it was discovered what she was doing, she was banned from seeing the young man again and sent home to Hever in disgrace. She was fired, in other words.
Her family must have been livid. The match her father had been working on - perhaps unbeknownst to Anne - fell apart. Some scholars believe it might have had something to do with Anne's failed betrothal, but no records exist to explain it. The Butler family may not have wanted the union in the first place, which might have been engineered by Cardinal Wolsey to resolve an inheritance dispute. In any case, Anne now had no job, and no prospects for a husband.
Anne returned to court about a year later. We know nothing of the next two years or so, except what fragments can be deduced from the memories of Thomas Wyatt, as related by his grandson.

Having his interest meant her family's advancement, and indeed, her father and brother received a steady series of gifts, grants, properties and titles, including his long-desired title of Earl of Ormond. Anne herself was showered with gowns and jewels, and fawned over by the court, seeking her favor so she might help advance them as well. Rejecting the king outright would have cut off this flow, and perhaps even set the Boleyn family back to being worse off, if the king became angry about it.
In February 1526, Henry made a public declaration of his interest in Anne, hoping the fawning attention of the court would pressure her into giving into his advances. Anne was suddenly thrust into the international spotlight as Henry's love interest, and suddenly had dozens of new "friends" seeking her favor and trying to use her for their own advancement. And, of course, they encouraged her to accede to the king's wishes. But Anne held firm to her principles. She would not sleep with any man outside the bonds of holy matrimony.
Henry now spent more time in his wife’s quarters than he had in years, but it was to visit Anne where she couldn’t escape his attentions.
In May, it got so bad that Anne actually quit her job as a lady in waiting and retreated to Hever, where she refused to answer Henry’s letters and sent back his gifts. Henry’s letters to her at this point are full of pouting complaints that she won’t write back to him. He claims not to understand it.
When Anne did return to court, she had to face a great deal of hostility. Those still loyal to Katharine of Aragon despised Anne for "luring" the king away from his wife. Anne had enemies she'd never even met, people who hated her for everything she represented, who twisted her words and spread malicious gossip about her throughout Europe. Courtiers who smiled at her and bowed whispered behind their hands. Families were divided as religious reformers sided with the Boleyn faction, and the conservatives sided with Katharine.
But the greatest problem was that no man would seek Anne's hand in marriage while the king was pursuing her, certainly, and not after he lost interest, either. Few people believed Anne was still a virgin, and her reputation was in tatters around Europe. Around the time the king decided he wanted to marry her, Anne may have realized herself that she would marry the king, or have to remain unwed, a burden on her family.
Thomas Boleyn has been portrayed as grasping and heartless, selling his daughters like a common pimp, but truthfully, he had little say in the matter, either. It wasn't only his fortunes at stake, but the entire future of the Boleyn family. If he'd had a choice, he probably would have wished Anne would give in and become the king's mistress, because Henry tended to find respectable husbands for the women he bedded once he was done. But Anne's religious convictions were too strong for that.
Anne was, indeed, trapped. She could not risk offending her "boss" and losing her job with her entire family's future at stake. Whether she liked it or not, she had to keep the king's favor. It was upward toward the throne or utter ruin. Anne Boleyn never really had a choice.

I was doing an article for Ms. about sexual harassment on the job and reading about Henry's wives in my free time, but it took a while to put together the fact that Ann Boleyn's position as lady-in-waiting to Henry's wife Catherine of Aragon was her job, and that, far from trying to lure Henry away from Catherine, she had spent over a year tactfully trying to repel his sexual advances.
Today, Henry’s approach to Ann would be instantly identifiable as sexual harassment. Ann however, had no social or legal recourse against a the man who ruled the country. She continued, as so many women before and since have done, to dodge her pursuer’s advances while sparing his feelings. It didn’t work.

She could reiterate her desire to keep her chastity and her honor, but clearly he didn’t respect that. She could ignore his letters and stay away from court, but he refused to take the hint. This one was a hard to choose. All of you were great with your comments about Yoshiwara in Flames and reading your comments was a pure joy to me. So this time there won’t be just one victor. Nor three or four victors.

First victor is u/TakenRedditName. I liked his analysis which was a good read.
The main message of the arc, being able to stand noble and tall is pure Gintama. Hinowa and Tsukuyo being able to stand tall is what inspires the rest of Yoshiwara. The element also of the shining sun of tomorrow will always come is also one that is true to Gintama and Gintoki as a character. The family aspect is also good. Like how Gintoki points it out, Seita and Hinowa are family despite having no blood connection nor having spent much time together in contrast to Kamui’s lack of love to his own blood family. Hinowa and Seita are just really sweet, I really like this little moment. Seeing Seita carry Hinowa.Also liked some facts he pointed out:
It is funny in retrospect how this lines up with Kagura’s chunni backstory for her Monkey Hunter character back in that unassuming episode. Like her manly game avatar, when her back is against the wall. Kagura’s dark second personality comes out and she becomes a hard-nosed berserker and her mortal enemy is her older brother.And most importantly this is another reason he won the comment of the week:
Originally, I was going to write how Hozen’s before-death moment doesn’t quite land despite liking when it happened with Ito, but watching and thinking about it, I’ve come to appreciate it. Now, the flashback is just him abusing a little girl who only shows and wished him kindness, but his talk with Kamui, I think presents something interesting. Hozen is much more morally black than Ito so going a similar route of final moment turnaround isn’t going to work, but Hozen is more like looking back at where he ended up. The thing about being unable to show love, always chasing yet never being able to embrace what he is after since he only knows violence, I think it speaks true to the Yato experience. Hozen has the element of building a big twisted form of a house, a paradise to call his home though one built with force and tyranny which is sorta tied to Umibozu, Kagura and Kamui. Umibozu wanted to have a home and family, but didn’t know how and ended up keeping his distance. Kagura wants to find a place away from the violent nature of the Yato while Kamui has abandoned it all for the sole purpose of living on the violent battlefield.Now I mentioned that the comment of the week has another victor. And it’s u/KendotsX for pointing an interesting piece about Abuto which slipped past me when I was rewatching Yoshiwara in Flames.
He's far from the limelight of this arc, he's strong and experienced, but not the fearsome King of the Yato. He's brutal, but not the blood thirsty young-un coming here to mess with Hosen. And while he's hot, he's not topping Tsukuyo. Basically Abuto rides in the backseat, but he's the best person you could have in your backseat.And as a prize for both of you, I prepared a special room for you. So enjoy yourself to your fullest, you have 72 hours to spend together there. Have fun!
First off, Abuto is voiced by Houchu Ootsuka, his voice is like a melody that makes my head orgasm.
But really it's the performance, the way Abuto carries himself, the laid back, but responsible attitude always looking to clean up after others, the informal and snarky mannerism of speech, but careful wording.
Even his attitude towards his race is a paradox, he wants his race to embrace its bloodthirsty nature, while keeping as many alive as is possible. He's got so much bullshit, he doesn't get to call Kagura out.
Although his joke about the "outdated" nature sets him perfectly between Kamui, who's full on following the Yato blood, and Kagura who's going against it.
Abuto's main role in the arc is obviously fighting Kagura, bringing out the beast in her, and then becoming her punching bag. The fight itself is great, but realistically any strong enough Yato could've been her foe, so what does Abuto bring to the table? He's standing in the middle. Not just between Kagura and her brother, but even between Kagura and and her "dark side", giving her useful insight from his position. Even when she beats the shit out of him, he never goes all bloodthirsty, instead he sees it as a good thing for the Yato that's worth keeping alive, therefore sticking to his ideals. Basically he's a lot closer to Kagura's ideal than she is.
I love Tsukuyo, she's a good kid, a really good kid, and overall a better character, but in this arc, Abuto stands as my favourite! If this guy was in One Piece, he'd be the only one giving Zoro a challenge for best right hand man.

- 2x TrendNET TMO-311C2K MoCA Adapters
- 1x Monoprice 6-way coaxial splitter (5-2400Mhz)
- FIOS fiber internet (therefore, not connected through coaxial)
Troubleshooting attempts:
- Connect both MoCA adapters in my desired rooms - did not work
- Connect one MoCA adapter in one desired room, then try connecting the other in two different rooms - did not work
- Connect both MoCA adapters directly together - worked
- Connect both MoCA adapters directly to splitter - worked
- Connect one MoCa adapter directly to splitter, then try connecting the other adapter in two different rooms - did not work
What might I be missing?

I recently started playing The 1.12.2 Pack (https://www.technicpack.net/modpack/the-1122-pack.1406454) which I've had a couple of issues with but am trying to play the game the way the pack-maker intended.
The pack has a good assortment of mods installed however seems to only push in one direction in terms of storage. There is only AE2 and its addons, no Refined Storage or other alternative. Storage Drawers are also not installed in the pack, instead using the barrels from Charset and caches from Thermal Expansion which don't have any drawer controller-like block to connect multiple inventories together like with Drawers.
Can anyone help me think of a method of being able to connect these inventories to an AE2 network without overloading the channels? I'm at a complete loss and it's honestly making the pack become unplayable for me. I've tried connecting though an EnderIO network in some hope that that may have worked but nope, and I've also tried using Modular Routers but that only seems to allow item transport rather than what I'm looking for.
Maybe I've just been spoiled playing with Refined Storage and Storage Drawers.

I use a Firewire 400 sound card (RME Fireface 400) and also a Thunderbolt UAD 2 Quad.
I looked how to connect the UAD 2 and need motherboard with a Thunderbolt 3 port.
And then should work with an adapter Thunderbolt 3 to 2.
Any recommendation for a specific motherboard model that has Thunderbolt 3?
I found this one that says it does https://www.materiel.net/produit/202209150077.html but the manual talks about an add-on card, I'm not sure what that is and where to find it.

The bass have good definition but lack impact for basshead users. In songs like "Paris" by MOON (Hotline Miami soundtrack), the sub-bass has a strong presence, and you can feel it “deep within you” throughout the entire song as it takes the spotlight. The same happens in "Xanny" by Billie Eilish, where during the chorus, those sub-bass frequencies can be felt “down to the bones”. On the other hand, in "Back Around" by Tiesto, I experienced what I mentioned earlier: the impact of the bass during the drop leaves me wanting 1-2dB more for EDM songs. However, this reference tuning is particularly good for other genres as we'll see next. Mids As someone who listens to various Heavy Metal/Rock artists and different orchestras, I consider myself familiar with the sound of string instruments. In the case of "Meet Your Maker" by In Flames, the electric guitars have a good sense of texture in each note and avoid being piercing to the ear. Switching genres, in "Yellow" from Coldplay's concert in Buenos Aires 2017, from minute 2 to 2:56, the electric guitar accompanies the song very gently, only to reappear seconds later. In this chaotic harmony, where instruments and the lead singer's voice come together, you can clearly distinguish each individual sound. Chris Martin's voice has a natural timbre to my ears, and both female and male voices have good weight in the region. Lastly, in "Nessun dorma!" performed by Pavarotti, the Italian's voice is out of this world. There is particularly good articulation between him and the orchestra (choristers, violins, horns, trumpets, piano, etc.). Treble Again, the graph shows quite pronounced peaks in the 2.5 kHz and 8 kHz regions, yet the previous song by In Flames with continuous cymbal splashes did not come across as piercing at all. Furthermore, in classical music such as Tchaikovsky's "Swan Lake" performed by the Boston Symphony Orchestra and Mozart's "Divertimento in F Major, K. 138" performed by the Quatuor Van Kuijk, I noticed that these IEMs are not super analytical or bright. In fact, for those seeking to gather every tiny detail in their music, they may find themselves wanting a bit more from the S12 PRO. Soundstage & Imaging In the previously described Coldplay song "Yellow," I could perceive a sense of distance between the audience and the band. However, to my ears, the soundstage is wider than it is tall and deep. There is good distinction of distance between the sides, but not as much towards the front and back. But here's where it gets exciting: the imaging capability is spectacular. In Avicii's "Waiting for Love," the single-sided planar magnetic driver manages to separate the different layers of the song's introduction. If I were to describe them from "top to bottom" what I hear is: first, Avicii's vocals above everything else, in the middle the rhythmic sound of the piano keys, and then below or in the background, the drums with their kicks and cymbals accompanying the song. Both instruments and vocals disappear during the build-up to the drop and are replaced by synthetic sounds. When the drop hits, these instruments reappear in the same "layers". The drums only play their cymbals while the song’s bass is carried by a synthesizer that is introduced at this moment. This description showcases the capabilities of this type of driver, providing a precise image that allows the listener to clearly differentiate which instruments are being reproduced and effortlessly separate them from one another. The artwork I'm looking for would be images of scenes from the game... the village the player manages, the buildings within, the various troops they might build. The art is a key part of giving the player a sense of connection to their empire, and I think it's unreleasable without good art.
Right now, I don't have a budget, but I do believe there is a market for this exact type of game, as previous versions have gone pay to win, choosing to monetize their whales while forsaking average players -- who now make up the audience that I'm trying to capture.
The theme of the game is ancient history - players choose a tribe - Egyptian, Nordic, or Spartan - and build their empires, considering the drawbacks and benefits of their chosen tribe. For my version 1.0.0, everything will be 2d and static images - as the game progresses, there may come a time we build out a 3d client. For now however, everything will be done in browser.
When I do monetize, because of the importance of the artwork, I want to split profits evenly with collaborators. I understand this represents a risk to the collaborator, and I certainly don't want to devalue the importance of artwork - I just don't have a budget for now. Wilcox did not approve the Extension of 20.21; the WA Governor's 10th successive proclamation which waived the waiting week, by sending the Governor a letter the day the extension lapsed Contact him directly at [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]). So on Jan 7, ESD Policy Director Dan Zeitlin filed an Emergency Rule, which appears to have no end date. It is believed that due to no rule prohibiting a waiting week between Dec 28-Jan 7, that some pre-existing claims erroneously began to show this. See this post and comments.
