In our frontend team we have this discussion about DTOs again and again. We are using the facade pattern but use the DTO's everywhere, from the data services to the state down to the components.
I am advocating for mapping all of the DTOs in our facades into view models/state models in order to not violate the facade pattern, but the team doesn't like to do the mapping all the time because it is tedious, especially when the DTO is the same as the view model/state model because it is just copy paste then.
How are you dealing with DTOs in your application?

To neet answer key aagaya aur mere 560-570 ban rahe. My parents are strictly against a drop bc they think pehle se hi bada course hai aur ek saal add karna wont be worth it. More over, im from karnataka where the cutoff for gmc was 526 last year to hopes hai. But my parents want me to aim for usmle in the future so they want to take a loan and get management seat in a big city. I believe i can convince them for a drop if i want to but i see this as some sort of an easy way out. Drop ki baat kare to i believe i can do good (96% pcb aggregate in boards and 96.7%ile in mains without maths) but ye easy way out dikh raha hai to thoda greedy feel hota hai.
Plan right now is to participate in counselling and hope to get a good gmc 🙏.

Me (F25) and gf (F34) live together since 3 years. We usually love to go for drives in the city at night (when the roads are usually empty) and even take roadtrips (speeding cars on highways)
She is usually the one who drives. I can’t drive. The problem is that she barely cares about road safety, and I always have to remind her to drive slow, and random reminders that we getting too close to the other cars and trucks.
I am an anxious person, my mind goes straight to accidents and deaths even if she isn’t really speeding much. I can be irritating because of the constant bickering.
This weekend, we took a trip to an island nearby, and as usual i had to remind her multiple times to drive carefully, and her usual response is “i am careful, don’t worry”
After a point she started speeding, with me constantly telling her to be slow, she started getting pissed at me. Yelled at me telling me i can drive if her driving is such a problem. I apologised and we moved on.
Dropped by to get lunch, it was hot, we got back in the car and i asked her to wear seat belt, she refused saying “its too hot, I’m uncomfortable, i’ll wear it when the ac starts working”. I still kept on pushing her to wear it, she got fed up and did.
Day 2 of the trip, she was driving fast again and there was sudden jerk because we got too close to a truck. I got anxious and yelled at her to be careful and not speed. She said this is normal and nothing to be scared about and she can handle a vehicle so i need to calm down. She got irritated, we got back home and now refuses to drive at all with me. She said we are never taking any road trips together and is majorly pissed with me.
How should I deal with this?

Well maybe not compleatly blind since I've seen some videos, but not much really.
I will start this week or next, making a dwarf, not sure if Warrior or Paladin (Dwarves can't be Shadow Knights, can they?)... I want to use exclusively two handed large slashing weapons (2H swords and 2H axes, no spears).
Any tips? I've been looking trough some videos, not many and not for too long, but I believe I'll to buy my first 2H weapon in my starting city, and I'll need to buy two or three bags, and one lightstone (don't know if I'm saying this correctly).
I'm a completionist and love questing and long quest chains, so I'd like to do most of those I can while I level up, will try and so all quests from my starting city. Maybe some can give some armor and weapons as a reward, hopefully.
I'd love to play a damage dealer if there was one that's a 'two handed large slashing weapon wielding magic hybrid class' (basically if Shadow Knight was a damage dealer instead of a tank), but I don't think Everquest has any other meele damage dealer other than Rogue, correct?
Later on this year, a friend of mine will be joining in, and we'll probably duo a lot (maybe I make a Rogue or a Ranger to play with him from the start).
I'm really not interested on any classes that can't meele well, and other than maybe (later down the line as a 2nd character) Rogue for dual wielding (or Ranger), am (again) most interest in using large two handed slashing weapons.
So, please, any helping tips, corrections to what I said, or anyone whom'd like to join me or maybe offer a helping hand on my first Everquest Classic journey? Please feel free to chime in, I'm all ears as I know very little about this game.
Mods, tools, graphical enhancements, etc., you recommend are also welcome, please.
Will be playing 10~20 hours a week. Probably a bit more (~18~25h) in the first ~three to five weeks, since I'll probably dedicate days off work for longer sessions up until I'm level 10 or so, and then slow down to a 10~15h per week rhythm. But we'll see.

So I received my FH copy about 1-1.5 months back, super excited to get started after a long wait. Map tiles looked fine when I popped them out, but I found that a good number of them were warped when I tried setting up scenario 1 (and later, 2).
I am storing them in the same accordion folder that I used for GH map tiles for years, currently all 1's in one pocket, the 2's in another and so on. Zero issues with GH tiles warping over the course or several years of play.
I am not sure how prevalent this is, although some posts indicate that I am not alone.
My question is how those experiencing this issue have gone about to fix it? I saw mention of some people ironing their map tiles, protected by a towel, but wondering how safe of an approach that is. Some of the warping is fairly minor, but the larger map tiles and T-shaped tiles are quite bad.

So, I'm a fairly simple guy who usually stays away from anything casual/hookups. I met the person I'm seeing on an app, let's call her Pam. So, Pam is in one of the top B schools here in India, so she is smart, has a slender body, and is extremely good with her words. So, she was someone right from the outset I knew had a dozen other guys lining up for her and hence I did not want to waste my time much in wooing her. I would not text her at all after we exchanged numbers, I've thought of doing but knew she would have someone better looking or smarter with her. Eventually, she texted me from time to time with texts like "Hey, I really found you sweet when we talked and was just thinking about you". So, eventually, we moved to calls over texts, and the second time we were on call we talked for hours and that call eventually ended in phone sex. Long story “short”: I thought I was in a rough spot in life, was getting paid $10/hr ($7) after taxes, working 84 hours a week at a security job in a high crime area. The drive home would be 40-50 minutes on clear roads. Well one night I decided to spark up a blunt on my way home, after I stopped at the gas station for something to eat. I was pulling out of the driveway a patrol unit passed in front of me and I came out the driveway behind him, but I didn’t notice my headlights were off. I made a U Turn and I seen him in my rear view mirror he made a UTurn as well, he ended up pulling me over and told me the reason he pulled me over was because of my headlights being off (it was about 1:50am) before he even asked I told him I had weed in the car with me it was about 1/4 of a blunt, also I was in full duty uniform, he took me out of the car and informed me what I was doing was a felony, I told him that I knew it was and continued on about my “sob” story, he placed me in the back of the unit where he ran my license and everything came out good, I had never even had one single ticket. He searched my vehicle and also I had my dads rifle in the back, he emptied both my pistol and rifle and placed them on the hood of my truck. After that he called the DA who decided not to press any charges on me. He opened the back door and informed me of the good news, I sighed in relief, he then put all my belongings in my truck and uncuffed me, told me that I was a man now and I needed to grow up and stop doing stupid shit. I told him I know and that it wouldn’t happen again. He didn’t give me a ticket or a warning. It has been about a 18 months since that happened and I haven’t touched any drugs, that moment was a real eye opener, since then I have been doing great things in the Private sector like doing Fugitive Recovery, private investigations, and even working Federal security jobs.
Now to my real question, how would this affect my employment with that PD, I definitely learned from it and moved on to better things, I have made friends with a lot of those department’s officers and have multiple references who are willing to put in a good word for me even LTs and CPTs, I have all spoke to them about my situation and doubts and they all tell me the same thing, I wasn’t charged nor arrested and I learned from it and came out a better man on the other side.
I will not say what Department it was but it is a huge city in desperate need of officers.

So all of this may sound very dumb but I've been very concerned about it. I am currently living with a friend in my home state but I'm going to college in a neighboring state. My actual permanent residence isn't changing I'm just going to be living in the dorms when I go to college. Is there anything I need to change before I switch states?
