My boyfriend of ~4 years and I broke up the day before yesterday. It was basically amicable, I have been unhappy for a while and just needed to have the courage to let go. We live in the same house, as I moved towns to be with him I don’t have any close friends or family here. And thankfully we have a spare room that my ex has moved into.
I now want to leave this town, as my boyfriend is the main reason I am here, and part of our breakup was because I want to go travelling and he doesn’t. But, I have to give 4 weeks notice at my work, and as my manager is on leave for 2 weeks, I feel like I should wait until she is back to avoid screwing them over. It is also very hard to find rentals in my town so the prospect of finding something short term is low. So that means I will probably be in this house for another 6 weeks, I can get out of town in the weekends however.
I just want to ask if anyone has any advice on break ups, especially if you live together. I am somewhat young and have never split up with someone while we’ve been living together. I feel very sad about the whole thing and while I know it’s for the best in the long term, I’m worried I will get sucked in and want to be with him again, as we’ve broken up earlier in our relationship and then got back together. We did hook up last night but I thought of it as a goodbye sort of thing, I just don’t want to get sucked back into things (or maybe I kind of do which is why I’m worried). Has anyone been in this situation before, what is the best way for me to handle living with my ex? And more broadly, what has helped you through a breakup before? This will be my biggest break up.

In 2020 I quit my job to pursue videography full time. I had been networking in my area for a while, building up my resume and making myself known in the area. Over the past 3 years, I have really solidified my name and business, becoming one of the go-to videographers for high quality video in my area. As many of you know, it has taken a LOT to build my business up to this point, and letting it go is slightly terrifying.
Long story less long, I am moving to another state in a few months, and am seeking some advice on how to go about marketing. I will have to completely rebuild my network of contacts, clients, studios, gear rentals, industry professionals, etc etc etc.
At this point, I’ve got a video resume for just about anything…tons of references for positive reviews, and a solid network of professionals in the industry here. I just don’t know how to transfer this to another city/state…or where to start. I’ve considered flying back here once a week a month, for some of my recurring client work. I need to establish my name in this new city though, since we will be there for a minimum of three years.
If any of you guys have been in this position, I’d love to hear your feedback!

Hi,
I'm set to make around $100k- $110k this year. I'm planning to move out end of year when I hit $160k savings (so that I'd have a sizable downpayment If I buy a place with my SO). Currently have 0 TSFA, 20k RRSP, 0 Debt. Here is my estimated budget.

1. Rent- $2.7k (2 bed, 2 baths. $50 a month on parking + hydro and heating)
2. Car- $400 (Insurance + gas)
3. Food - $450
4. Internet- $150
5. Phone- $100
6. Gym -$100
7. Subscriptions and haircut- $100

Total- $4000. Alot of these are over estimation but I expect to pay $3750- $4000. After all these, I expect to have around $2000- $2500 every month to spend on myself and save. I plan to put all savings to my TSFA and catch up
I'll be the sole person living in the condo rental but I like having the thought of having some space as I do work from home. I have been living at home all this time so I wanted to try living by myself.
Am I running myself too thin here? Is there any improvements I can make? Any input is much appreciated

My life has been crazy. Was forced to move out of a house in had lived for 16 years. Never late on rent took care of the property. A friend helped me out and let me stay with the. Got a new place. 2yrs later landlords decided to sell all the rentals. Was told only selling to investors, we won't have to move. Get a notice in the mail new owner is raising the rent more that 50% and requesting we vacate. So decided to move half way across the country so my mom(many health issues) can reunite with family. She passed away 2021. So I've been living alone in a big apartment half of which I never use. Property management is raising the rent again the complex is becoming a shithole, stuffs constantly breaking.
I live in a northern state (ND) that has snow 5 or more months out of the year.
I'm done with the cold/snow. Looking to move south. Most likely Arkansas (have family there), Missouri or Florida.
So would love to chat with people in the Fort Smith/Fayetteville Ar., Springfield/Branson Mo. And Tampa Fl. areas.

I have relationships between two tables say categoryID of a movie in a movie table and categoryID in a rental table.
It's easy enough for me to use a form and manually put the autonumber into the correct field. Say "1" is the "horror" genre and "2" is the "action" genre.
Is there a way for the drop down to show "Horror"/"Action" and then 1 or 2 is put into the table for the appropriate ID?

Me (22F) and my SO (24M) live with our friend (19F, we’ll call her RM). RM is dating my SO’s younger brother, so our relationship is very familial and we’ve been very happy living together for the past 8 months.
I found out I was pregnant 4 months ago, and initially we all agreed we’d stay living at our current rental together because we have a bungalow in the backyard where the baby and I could sleep so as not to disturb RM during the night. As time has gone on, however, I realise it’s impractical for me to be living in the bungalow with the baby as it has no toilet or running water, and I’d need to come into the house frequently with the baby at all times of the day, meaning we would still be disturbing RM anyway while my SO and I have to walk between the house and the bungalow all night.
My SO thinks me, the baby and him should find our own apartment if we can find people to cover our lease that RM is comfortable living with. We sat down with RM and told her our plan, explaining that we don’t want to make her life centred around our baby when it’s not her responsibility. We have plenty of time to find new tenants and when we told RM our idea, we made it clear that we would deal with all the real estate transfers and help her find roommates she’s comfortable with.
RM was very, very upset and has been avoiding us like the plague. She told us she felt like we were abandoning her, which I feel terrible about, but I really feel this is the best choice for all of us. I’ve tried to give her space to process and sent her messages asking her if she needed anything, ordering her food, trying to let her know we care about her and want to find a solution, but she won’t respond. I care a lot about her and I’m so, so confused.

We are looking at buying a rental property in Hamilton.
We have looked at a few properties, and it seems that in those that are currently tenanted the rent is much less than the appraisal (e.g. $100pw less). Do the rental firms set the appraisals too high to make it look appealing? Or are the generally right but the properties we have seen just happen to be charging less rent than they could?

I bought my bike used with a slip on and want to try on the stock exhaust to make it a little quieter. For commuting.

In the mid 90s the local movie rental store had one VHS of Spaceketeers, English dub. If I remember right, it was only the first several episodes of the show, I'm not sure it even finished introducing all the characters.... After many years I tried to find the complete set, and while I CAN find an English dub, it is NOT the ORIGINAL English dub. The princess Aurora now sounds more like a valley girl than the classic high, breathy, anime girl. Does anyone have any ideas at all as to how to find the original dub? Even prime has the new-dub to rent. Am I crazy? Am I remembering their voices wrong?
