This was our first time in Hawaii, and given that we weren’t sure if we’d have the chance to come back in the future, we crammed as much in as possible. We’re a couple in our late 20s. Overall, we loved Oahu, liked the Big Island, and thought Maui was just okay. The main focuses of our trip were trying a lot of different foods, which we did and enjoyed most of, and taking in the beautiful nature Hawaii has to offer, which we did and enjoyed nearly all of. We enjoyed Oahu the most because it offered the most of everything and it was easy to get around. Maui got docked a few points mostly because of how much drive time was required to do most things and it definitely wouldn’t have been worth it if we hadn’t been able to use credit card points for our hotel. HVNP was the big highlight of the Big Island, and we enjoyed a majority of what we did. If we had the chance, we’d probably go back to see more of the BI. In general, we were expecting food to be way more expensive than it was (yay for not meeting expectations) but it was surprisingly difficult for us to find fruits to try besides pineapple, mango, and papaya (boo for not meeting expectations).
This is a reaaaaaally long trip report so I tried to organize it in a way that will allow people to just find their island of interest if they don’t want to read the whole thing. Each island has a bolded header and I put a heart (💜) by things that we absolutely loved and would likely do again and a star (🌟) by things that we really enjoyed doing as first time visitors but probably wouldn’t do again. Please feel free to ask any questions about stuff I didn’t go into detail about!
Oahu Overall Rating: 9/10 Hotel: Hyatt Place Waikiki Beach (mostly stayed here because of CC points and free breakfast. Breakfast would've been way better if there was fruit besides canned pineapple, toilet paper was awful for my bootyhole, and they have the slowest elevators known to man)
Day 0: Travel/arrival

• Landed in Honolulu around 7pm after a very long day of traveling. I wanted to get Marugame Udon for dinner but balked at the line. I had heard that the line moves fast, but we were way too tired to wait, so we got Kono’s instead. My bomber was a bit too salty and greasy, but my boyfriend loved his.

Day 1: Honolulu

• We started the day with Diamond Head. We had the 7-8am reservation, which was perfect, since it was super busy on our way down. 🌟
• I wanted to have lunch at Helena’s but they were unfortunately closed for the duration of the Oahu leg of our trip. Did not learn this until we got there (sign taped to the door), so definitely check their website if this is on your itinerary.
• Walked to Bishop Museum from Helena’s and walked around and had a very sad lunch at the Highway Inn there. The Bishop Museum was beautiful and there was lots to see and read. Chose to do this over Polynesian Cultural Center due to the PCC controversy with the Church of LDS.
• Saw the Iolani Palace and the King Kamehameha statue. Cool to see both, but we didn’t do the formal tour at Iolani Palace.
• Had dinner at Tonkatsu Tamafuji. This was hands down one of the best meals we had the entire trip. We weren’t able to get a reservation so we arrived at 3:30pm to join the waitlist (we were second or third) and were seated almost immediately when they opened for dinner. 💜

Day 2: North Shore

• Started the morning early with the Makapu’u Point Lighthouse trail. Super easy and got to see the sunrise at the top. We really liked this trail. 🌟
• Spent some time at Lanikai Beach and it was a nice beach to relax on
• Headed up to drive through Ho’omaluhia Botanical Garden and the mountain ranges were stunning. 🌟
• Lunch at Da Bald Guy. It was good but nothing mindblowing. I wanted to try Ry’s Poke too, but they were closed for a few days. Again, learned from a sign on their window lol.
• We did the Ehukai Pillbox Hike and went past the first pillbox to see the second pillbox. The views from there were phenomenal. My poor feet were suffering a little and the downhill stretches were a bit scary at times, but it was worth it. 🌟
• We got an acai bowl from Haleiwa Bowls and it was so delicious and refreshing. 🌟
• Checked out the North Shore Macadamia Nut Company, North Shore Soap Factory🌟, and the Waialua Sugar Mill🌟. We got some souvenirs for family and even got a little tour at the sugar mill. Pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed these stops.
• Second lunch at Jenny’s Shrimp Truck. Good, but again, nothing mindblowing.
• Laniakea Beach was super crowded so we went to Papa’iloa Beach instead. Pretty and not crowded at all, and saw our first sea turtle here!
• We were pretty tired from the early morning so we decided to skip the last couple of things on our itinerary (Sunset Beach and Ted’s Bakery)

Day 3: Waikiki

• Started the day at KCC Farmers Market. We had mochi from Daizu Tei, banh mi from Pig and the Lady, and passion fruit cane juice (can’t remember the name of the stand). We also got a cup of a variety of cut fruit, which was pretty subpar and disappointing -- a majority of the fruit tasted unripe. 💜
• Lunch at Ono Seafood. It was good, but if I learned anything on this trip, I don’t like poke as much as I thought.
• Evening was spent at Kualoa Ranch for a friend’s wedding. What a beautiful venue!

Day 4: Waikiki

• Hung out on Waikiki Beach for a while before getting lunch at Marugame Udon. Udon was really tasty but I definitely didn’t need to get the tempura too. Extra points for the great value! 💜
• Wandered around International Marketplace but didn’t do any shopping
• Quick snack at Musubi Cafe. Good, but also thought that I’d like spam musubis more.
• Took a nap before getting dinner at Omakase by Aung. This was an amazing and delicious experience. The vibes were *chef’s kiss* 💜

Day 5: Waikiki

• Got coffee and some pastries from Kona Coffee b patisserie. Coffee was fine but the pastries were to die for. Waited in line for a while, so it’s probably good to go at a random time in the middle of the day rather than first thing in the morning 🌟/💜
• Headed over to the Pearl Harbor Historic Sites and went to the Battleship Missouri Memorial, Aviation Museum, and USS Arizona. Didn’t have time for the USS Bowfin Submarine Museum but if we could go back, we’d do that instead of the Aviation Museum. The Battleship Missouri Memorial was really cool and my WW2 buff boyfriend loved it. 🌟
• Wanted to get dinner at Maguro Brother, but was yet again met with a “we’re closed and will reopen on x date” sign. Went to Maguro Spot instead.
• We had shave ice at Island Vintage for dessert. We LOVED it and got one that had frozen yogurt in the center. I am dying to have it again. 💜

Maui Overall Rating: 7/10 Hotel: Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa (we walked down pretty much the entire 2 mile strip of resorts in Kaanapali and from the outside, I'd say that the Hyatt Regency was among the nicer resorts. However, we would never in a million years stay here if it weren't for CC points)
Day 6: Travel to Maui

• Flew to Maui in the AM and grabbed lunch at Thai Mee Up. Tasty! Unfortunately, we were there pretty early so most of the other trucks were closed. Checked out Costco too, because why not, and had to resist the urge to buy a million snacks.
• Went to the Iao Valley State Monument and did a few short trails there but the star of the day was the Waihe’e Ridge trail. It was probably the most challenging hike we did our entire trip, but it had the best views. It was unfortunately a bit cloudy at the top, but on the bright side, we didn’t have the sun beating down on our backs and were able to get pretty amazing views halfway up. 🌟
• Checked into our hotel before heading out for dinner at Star Noodle. This was another favorite dinner. It’s small plates/family style and while our waiter suggested starting with a noodle plate plus 2-3 other plates, we ended up ordering a second round of plates because everything we had was so good. 💜

Day 7: Haleakala

• The sunrise was breathtaking but I never want to do that drive in the dark ever again, even as a passenger. We left at 2:30am and arrived 30 minutes before sunrise and would suggest leaving even earlier to beat the tour buses. It was CROWDED. Did a few trails (Pa Ka’oao, Leleiwi Overlook, and the first half of Halemau’u) and headed back to the hotel for a much needed nap lol. 🌟
• On the way back, we grabbed a few snacks and poke from Foodland
• Explored Lahaina a little before going to the Old Lahaina Luau. The luau was enjoyable and the amount of food was insane. We didn’t love the food (our favorites were probably the apps and dessert), so because of that and the fact that we’re not big drinkers, it was a bit overpriced.

Day 8: Road to Hana

• Not to be all poo-poo about it but both of us thought this was way too overrated. I’ve given my thoughts on some other threads, but there are scenic drives in northern Michigan that are way prettier than the Road to Hana. The only things worth stopping for were Waianapanapa State Park 🌟 and the Pipiwai trail 🌟 and maybe the Keanae Arboretum just to look at the rainbow eucalyptus trees up close and the roadside lava tube. Other than that, we were not impressed by the beaches or the waterfalls and it was exhausting. Oh, and unpopular opinion, but Aunty Sandy’s banana bread is so overrated.
• We had lunch in the middle at Braddah Hutts. It was very tasty but we definitely could’ve shared a plate. Dinner at Tin Roof was on the itinerary but we decided to skip because of how full we were from lunch.

Day 9: Resort Bumming

• Given how exhausting the previous day was, we just bummed by the pool all day and napped.
• We got dinner at Huihui, which exceeded our expectations and we watched the lovely sunset as we ate.

Day 10: Snorkeling

• We did a half-day snorkel tour with Sea Maui and it was a really great experience! We went to two spots and had breakfast, lunch, and drinks included. 💜
• Took a much needed nap before going to Down the Hatch for dinner. We weren’t super hungry so we just shared an appetizer and entree and got shave ice at Ululani’s afterwards. Both were good but we liked the Island Vintage shave ice better than Ululani’s.

Big Island Overall Rating: 8/10 Hotel: Orchid Tree B&B (I wanted to gatekeep this but it was too cute of a B&B to not share. The suite we got was clean and comfortable and the simple breakfast in the morning was great. The host cut fresh fruit from their yard for us) 💜
Day 11: Travel/HVNP

• Traveled to the Big Island early in the morning. We stopped by Greenwell Farms for coffee beans to take home, but didn’t have time for a free tour. The beans were a bit pricey but oh well, it’s a souvenir for family and it was 100% Kona coffee.
• We did a farm tour at Kuaiwi Farm and it was fun! We had a bit of a weird group but the owners were great and gave samples of a variety of things to try. 🌟
• Lunch at Shaka Tacoz was delicious. I was in dire need of some vegetables, so I ordered a salad and it was HUGE. I’ve never had such a filling salad.
• We were going to check out the green sand beach but decided against it and headed to HVNP instead. We were able to fit in the Devastation Trail, steam vents, sulphur banks, Kilauea Overlook, and the Thurston Lava Tube. This really freed up our second day at the park and everything was very cool. 🌟
• We got ramen at Tetsumen in Hilo for dinner and it was a pleasant surprise! It was a great way to end the cold and rainy day. 🌟

Day 12: HVNP/Travel

• Since we had time for HVNP the previous day, we only did the Kilauea Iki trail which was also really cool. We were impressed and amazed by HVNP. 🌟
• We went back to Hilo to check out the farmers market and this was possibly the most disappointing part of our short visit to the BI. Despite being warned during the farm tour the day prior, I wanted to try white pineapple before leaving and was convinced by the vendor that I purchased from that the pineapples were ripe. We had been warned during the farm tour that many vendors at farmers markets will lie and sell unripe fruit. So I ended up spending over $20 on an unripe white pineapple that made my tongue burn. I made myself eat probably 1/3 of it before I gave up and threw it out. I also purchased a mountain apple that was also definitely not ripe and I couldn’t eat more than the one bite I took. Lesson learned, I suppose.
• We stopped by Rainbow Falls (had time to kill) and it was alright.
• We had a late lunch at Cafe 100 and Ken’s House of Pancakes (also alright) before our long trip home.

I live in a resort town in northern Michigan that is a golf destination for lots of people with a large variety of public and private courses, but not a single driving range. The closest range is over an hour away and I've been kicking around the idea of opening one but haven't done much research yet.
Given the long winters up here, the range would likely operate from the end of May through the end of October and I'm wondering if I can make enough in those 5-6 months to make the payments on the land during the winter when there is nothing coming in. I have a full time career that pays enough where I could still make the payments during the offseason if I'm not generating enough from the business itself but obviously I would prefer the business be self sufficient if possible.
I can get 8 acres of cleared land for about $65k and I'm ballparking that I could get the actual structure to hit from built for about $60k. Beyond that the only major start-up expenses I can think of are for landscaping equipment, the ball retrieval cart, practice/refurbished balls, and the ball dispensing machines... this is all just back of the envelope math but it seems like I could get the whole thing going with a $150k loan... am I way off base here or is this potentially a good idea?
Another thought is to put some of my own money into it too so as to lower the amount I need a loan for, and/or to do a shorter term loan so I'm free and clear on it sooner. Either way the idea is for the business to be a long-term thing that eventually goes to my son if he wants it so owing the bank for 10-15 years isn't the end of the world. Real estate/property is also my favorite investment by a mile so even just building equity in those 8 acres while the business on it breaks even is theoretically fine.
Anyway, if anyone has any experiences or resources to share I would really appreciate it.
Edit: another major expense I just thought of is the parking lot.

I've been compiling a list of "hidden gems" in the back of my mind for a while now. There are many "hidden gems" in Vancouver. To cover them all would be a whole book. To make things easier for a post I created a stricter set of criteria.
 
The purpose of this post is not only to share but also to uncover more "small family run hidden gems". There are many places that almost make it which I added to the Honorable Mentions section.

What constitutes a small family run hidden gem?

A tiny to small restaurant that's family and serves amazing food or beverages. These are the places that people who've been recommend to out of town guests. You go "wow" when you first discover the place.
 
The hidden part is covered by collecting data on posts/comments to verify the "hidden aspect". Although just because a business has low Reddit exposure, many of these places are well known in specific communities.

Detailed Criteria:

1. Small: Under ~10 tables, Ideally ~2 tables. Exceptions for Food Court Stalls
2. Family Run: Owner or a family member is always present. Bonus for family-run businesses with no employees.
3. Hidden (On Reddit): Under 40 comments where a post is worth 5 comments.
4. Gem: Arguably the best place to get a certain dish/cuisine in Metro Vancouver

hi! i live in the suburbs of northern nj, but I only have 19 testing centers near me in 25 mi radius. and everything is filling up super quick— my only options right now are 9-10+ miles away.
BUT it seems like August has much less testing centers right now. Will more places open up as summer starts? Or do I just sign up right now before there’s no seats??

Arlene degenerates into a remnant low

Satellite imagery analysis indicates that Arlene's convective structure has deteriorated enough that it can no longer be considered a tropical cyclone. Animated infrared imagery depicts a few sporadic bursts of deep convection firing up to the northeast of Arlene's completely exposed low-level circulation, but otherwise, the system is devoid of any meaningful convection as it drifts southeastward toward the Straits of Florida. Thus, the National Hurricane Center has determined that Arlene is now a remnant low and has discontinued issuing advisories.

Heavy rainfall is still possible across portions of Florida and Cuba

Arlene's remnants are moving southeastward, embedded within the anticyclonic low-level flow around a surface trough situated along the western coast of Florida. This afternoon, the low will turn eastward around the base of this trough and enter the Straits of Florida. Strong southwesterly shear, combined with dry mid-level air, will prevent Arlene from re-organizing; however, heavy rainfall and isolated flooding is still possible for southern Florida and western and central Cuba over the next couple of days.
On Tuesday, Arlene's remnants will emerge from the Straits of Florida and turn northeastward toward the northern Bahamas. Redevelopment will remain highly unlikely as the system drifts into the open waters of the Atlantic later in the week.

This post is an overview of some of the blackmail tactics used to control most of the influential people and governments around the world. Obviously I cannot cover everything in a single post, so as with my previous posts I highly encourage you to research further yourself. All sources and links are at the bottom of the post. An understanding of what trauma-based mind control programming (MKULTRA/MONARCH) is, and how it works, is again necessary to understanding much of this. My other posts here:

The world is run on blackmail, mind control, and shame.
There exist many collections of videotapes of 'high-up' people engaging in some of the worst, sickest things imaginable. Drugs, torture, pedophilia, and murder are common themes to these videos. These tapes are in the hands of many different people, groups, and especially intelligence agencies. 'Honey-trap' operations are constantly being run to gather compromising and incriminating evidence on people of importance. Child slaves will be used to compromise people on video. Global leaders are often covertly videotaped doing perverted things with sex slaves sent to them by intelligence agencies, the Illuminati, or other groups, and this is then leveraged. Rape and murder of a child (forced or not), one of the most repulsive things possible, is many times filmed to ensure future compliance.
"Back in 1966, Rothstein became the first police detective assigned to investigate the prostitution industry. Almost immediately he discovered an underground sexual blackmail operation that compromised politicians with child prostitutes. ‘Human Compromise’ is what he labelled the honey-trap process. Rothstein and his colleagues found that approximately 70 percent of top US Government leaders were compromised in this way. Rothstein said, the CIA conducted the human compromise operation, while the FBI was tasked with covering up any leaks."

These blackmail 'practices' are often used in conjunction with trauma-based mind control. This mind control is an integral component of, and is deeply intertwined with child trafficking, sex slavery, Satanic ritual abuse, and many other horrific crimes. Porn films are taken of the Monarch victims, so that they can be used to blackmail the victim. Monarch victims are forced to commit ritual murders which are photographed and then used to blackmail the mind-controlled victim."

Intelligence agencies all over the world utilize blackmail, routinely employing and exploiting it as much as possible. It is an extremely important 'tool' of theirs. Operations are done to gather the incriminating evidence.
"Other 'neutralisations' verge on the bizarre. An individual who must remain nameless for a variety of reasons - but whose name is known to this writer - underwent an experience that is both horrific and chilling. I shall call this individual 'Mr. X' or, simply, 'X'. Mr. X was a leader of one of the largest CIA-backed Contra groups. He recently testified before the US Senate Intelligence Committee. Formerly, X was a senior executive in a South American subsidiary of a leading US soft drinks corporation. During his Senate testimony, he denied any knowledge of CIA involvement in the narcotics trade, adding that condoning such activity would have been foreign to his way of life. Not so, says Tatum. Mr. X had been recruited into the CIA by then-Director William Casey, with the assistance of Oliver North. In 1990, when Nicaraguan leader Daniel Ortega announced there would be 'free elections', X was ecstatic. He began jostling for position and asked President Bush to ensure he be given a prominent position in the new government - in return for his years of toil at the behest of the CIA and the Enterprise. The pressure came in a form that Bush could not ignore. Failure to help his friend would result in X's intimate knowledge of Bush's involvement in the dope trade being made public. His threat left Bush with a sour taste. A Pegasus team was assigned to 'neutralise' him in early 1990. Mr. X, Tatum states, 'fancied himself a lover of women. Tall, large-breasted blondes were his favourite. It was determined that, if effectively neutralised, [X] could be an asset. Therefore, it was decided that intimidation would be used to control [X].' They chose to use the drug Scopolamine, which also went by the nickname 'Burundanga' or 'the Voodoo drug'. The drug is extracted from the pods of a flowering shrub that grows in remote regions of South America. In its processed, powdered form, Scopolamine is 'void of smell, void of taste'. When properly administered 'it causes absolute obedience' without this being 'observable by others'. Importantly, the target will not recall any of the events that occurred during the period they were under the spell of the drug. Tatum states that X was invited to spend a relaxing weekend at a luxury hotel as a guest of his friend George Bush. His host for the weekend was a trusted 18-year veteran field-intelligence officer. The evening started with cocktails and was followed by a fine meal. ''Nothing but the best' were the orders.' Following the meal, he was ushered into the suite of a 'blonde bombshell' supplied by the CIA. Mr. X had already ingested a dose of Burundanga during pre-dinner cocktails. X was gallant with the blonde as they both moved into the bedroom where video cameras were already set up in one corner. In short order, the blonde had X standing naked in front of her and began to indulge his desires. All the while, the video cameras whirred. Slowly stripping off, the 'blonde' revealed his manhood in all its glory. Mr. X was instructed to reciprocate the favour and perform fellatio. He obliged, his intimate activities recorded at 24 frames a second on videotape. Tatum says the male prostitute was hired from a bar in New York and killed that same evening. Two weeks later, X - wholly unaware of the events of that evening - was visited in Nicaragua. He was presented with a copy of the video footage, along with instructions. Tatum says that X can never allow that video to be seen: 'Not only does it reveal his homosexuality, but it also reveals his bestiality and satanic worship rituals.' As frame after frame flicked by, X reportedly wept, forced to watch himself kill his homosexual 'lover' and then engage in the most grisly cannabalistic ritual imaginable. Neutralised, Mr. X became a leading member of the Nicaraguan government a few short weeks later."

"Check out the FBI records on Scarlett: What was his original HOOK that got him so deeply embedded into UK Illuminati culture? He murdered the nanny of Lord Lucan in the 1970's. Lucan wasn't actually involved. Scarlett got it wrong. He was under mind control at the time. How we all laughed on his training sessions when we heard that one. Not funny, really. We were all in the same boat. Each had something terrible attached to us, in our past. That is all part and parcel of the Illuminati contract. Young people forced under mind control to commit murder when young and then later on, picked up by British Intelligence to be used and abused as they wished - as loyal servants of the British Crown. One can only hope that by exposing these HOOKS, that some sort of amnesty can prevail. If these people are freed from the demonic Illuminati contract by exposing their HOOKS - one can only hope that they will come forward as a sizeable and influential body of political and public figures, in order to put an end to it. "Vinson also told Nick Bryant that Spence and Larry King were 'partners' and 'hooked up with the CIA', stating specifically that 'King and Spence were in business together, and their business was pedophilic blackmail.' They were transporting children all over the country. They would arrange for children to be flown into Washington, DC and also arrange for influential people in DC to be flown out to the Midwest and meet these kids. Per Vinson, Larry King had confided in him that he had clients who liked to torture and even kill children: 'King said they had clients who actually liked having sex with kids as they tortured or killed the kid. I found that totally unbelievable.' After Vinson said this to Nick Bryant, he asked Bryant later on in the interview if King’s disclosure had indeed been true. He was unaware at the time that other evidence, including witness testimony, had suggested that it was."

"According to fugitive ex-CIA officer Frank Terpil, CIA-directed sexual blackmailing operations were intensive in Washington at about the time of the Watergate scandal. One of those operations, Terpil claims, was run by his former partner, Ed Wilson. Wilson's base of operations for arranging trysts for the politically powerful was, Terpil says, Korean agent Ton Sun Park’s George Town Club. In a letter to the author, Terpil explained that ‘Historically, one of Wilson’s Agency jobs was to subvert members of both houses [of Congress] by any means necessary. Certain people could be easily coerced by living out their sexual fantasies in the flesh...A remembrance of these occasions was permanently recorded via selected cameras...The technicians in charge of filming were TSD [Technical Services Division of the CIA]...The unwitting porno stars advanced in their political careers, some of whom may still be in office.'"

The Illuminati and other cults also engage in the same blackmail operations. There is a huge overlap between secret societies/cults and intelligence, with top intelligence usually being run by them. All of them do this.

These people are already in power, and have set their system up so that nobody rises to a prominent, powerful, or influential position without being selected, extensively compromised, controllable, and usually under mind control. They are all 'in it together', and because of this they protect eachother. Most have 'insurance' on one another.
"The most common phrase associated with that one was ‘talk about the pot calling the kettle black’, meaning that each Illuminati slave had been caught on camera and from an early age – doing something terrible – as Rimington was fond of saying ‘we are all as bad as each other and all in it together.’"

During a subsequent two-hour interrogation, Rothstein discovered the truth about Watergate (plus Sturgis’ and the CIA’s involvement in the Bay of Pigs incident, and the related assassination of JFK). Sturgis told Rothstein, the Watergate burglars sought something they nicknamed ‘The Book’ which listed the Democratic and Republican politicians who accessed child prostitutes, their sexual proclivities, the amounts they paid to rape kids, etc."

But then that was what the Illuminati cult and their Sat B'hai contract has always been about...promising that you would get everything for nothing (if you agreed to be unquestioningly obedient to the Crown) and that you would now be part of an 'esoteric' prestigious Satanic club."

"Numerous videos are covertly produced at the supposedly secure political sex playground in northern California, Bohemian Grove. High tech undetectable cameras use fiber optics, and fish-eye lenses were in each of the elite club's numerous sexual perversion theme rooms. I was programmed and equipped to function in all rooms at Bohemian Grove in order to compromise specific government targets according to their personal perversions. 'Anything, anytime, anywhere with anyone' was my mode of operation at the Grove. My perception is that Bohemian Grove serves those ushering in the New World Order through mind control, and consists primarily of the highest Mafia and U.S. Government officials. Project Monarch mind controlled slaves were routinely abused there to fulfill the primary purpose of the club: purveying perversion. Bohemian Grove is reportedly intended to be used recreationally, providing a supposedly secure environment for politically affluent individuals to 'party' without restraint. The only business conducted there pertained to implementing the New World Order, through the proliferation of mind-control atrocities, giving the place an air of 'Masonic Secrecy'. The only room where business discussions were permitted was the small, dark lounge affectionately and appropriately referred to as the Underground. The wooden sign was carved to read: 'U.N.DERGROUND'. My purpose at the Grove was sexual in nature, and therefore my perceptions were limited to a sex slave's viewpoint. As an effective means of control to ensure undetected proliferation of their perverse indulgences, slaves such as myself were subjected to ritualistic trauma. Slaves of advancing age or with failing programming were sacrificially murdered 'at random' in the wooded grounds of Bohemian Grave, and I felt it was 'simply a matter of time until it would be me'. Rituals were held at a giant, concrete owl monument on the banks of the Russian River. These occultish sex rituals stemmed from the scientific belief that mind-controlled slaves required severe trauma to ensure compartmentalization of the memory. I witnessed the sacrificial death of a young, dark-haired victim at which time I was instructed to perform sexually 'as though my life depended upon it'. I was told, 'The next sacrifice victim could be you.' The club offered a 'Necrophilia' themed room to its members. I was so heavily drugged and programmed when used in the 'necrophilia' room, that the threat of actually 'slipping through death's door' and being sacrificed 'before I knew it' did not affect me. Other perversion theme rooms at the Bohemian Club included what I heard Ford refer to as the 'Dark Room'. When he not so cleverly said, 'Let's go to the Dark Room and see what develops,' I understood from experience that he was interested in indulging in his perverse obsession for pornography. In the Dark Room, members had sex with the same mind-controlled slave they were viewing in porn on a big screen television. There was a triangular glass display centered in a main through way where I was locked in with various trained animals, including snakes. Members walking by watched illicit sex acts of bestiality, women with women, mothers with daughters, kids with kids, or any other unlimited perverse visual display. I was once brutally assaulted by Dick Cheney in the Leather Room, which was designed like a dark, black leather-lined train berth. There was a room of shackles and tortures, black lights and strobes, an opium den, ritualistic sex altars, a chapel, group orgy rooms including poster beds, water beds, and 'kitten' houses. I was used as a 'rag doll' in the 'toy store,' and as a urinal in the 'golden arches' room. From the owl's roost to the necrophilia room, no memory of sexual abuse is as horrifying as the conversations overheard in the Underground pertaining to implementing the New World Order. I learned that perpetrators believed that controlling the masses through propaganda mind manipulation did not guarantee there would be a world left to dominate due to environmental and overpopulation problems. The solution being debated was not pollution/population control, but mass genocide of 'selected undesirables'."

Introduction
Feminists often complain that traditional gender roles in marriage were a result of patriarchy and women having no rights, but they looked at it through a presentist point of view. Yes, single parenthood was taboo historically, but it wasn't realistic. As a woman, you had to get pregnant with several kids to populate the Earth and even make up for all the kids who died due to high infant mortality rates. We didn't have prenatal care, medicines, baby formula, child support, birth control pills, etc. Pregnancy was very dangerous and maternal mortality rates were high, and you had become pregnant constantly back then to populate Earth and compensate for all the children who died. People didn't even name kids until they were a few years old. You didn't have baby formula and unless you had someone to be a wet nurse, you had to breastfeed the babies yourself. Women couldn't be incapacitated by childbirth and take care of kids with potential infant mortality to nurture them to make sure they safe and then provide for the kids all by herself. Some tribal societies and other communities may have had women rely on non-spouses, but overall, having two parents was crucial. Men had to provide for children, and even women worked all the time back then and so did children to support the family because one parent wasn't enough given that we needed to nurture children and make sure they wouldn't die and become pregnant several times. Women weren't forbidden from working historically, and men weren't the sole breadwinners. That's just a 1950s America thing. It's a myth women didn't work to support the family with him, because everyone in the family needed to work, and single parenting was rare and difficult.
Changes in traditional gender roles and family was caused by now-sufficient human populations, medicine and technology advancements, not feminism.
Infant mortality and maternal mortality rates declined in the 20th century, which is why in the 2nd half of the decade, single parenthood became more normalized. The reason wasn't due to feminism, but because the invention of prenatal care, baby formula, medicines and more knowledge on how to handle a pregnancy safely alongside a now populated-enough Earth made it convenient to safely take care of children by oneself. Funny thing is, even now, it's still often difficult for many parents to do by themself. Most people raised by single moms fare quite well, but there is an increased risk of issues. In non-Western countries, these gender roles still exist not because they're backwards, but because they still live in these harsh environments where these inconveniences exist. Just look at Africa.
It's still an issue in the West, too. Although the evidence is mixed, quite a lot of evidence shows that being raised by a single parent can increase the risk of kids dealing with delinquency and crime or emotional and behavioral issues, even when controlling for income, family history, and many other factors. Some stats show that it has to do with socioeconomic problems, which is why single parenting isn't good if you can't make the money to provide for kids all by yourself, but some studies show even when controlling for socioeconomic factors, single parenting does increase the risk of problems. The evidence is mixed, but some evidence shows children fare worse without a father, and some studies show this isn't a causation and some research shows it is. Even having stepdads didn't improve it. I don't mind gay couples raising kids, because they are two-parents and one can use the gender roles fathers normally had for supporting kids, but single parenting, although often okay in our more convenient environment, can in many other cases, do harm. Even in egalitarian countries and many European countries, (see: link https://www.europarl.europa.eu/RegData/etudes/STUD/2020/659870/IPOL_STU(2020)659870_EN.pdf) even when controlling for many factors, single motherhood increased risk of problems to children but not single fatherhood. Typically, having a close relationship with a father lowered these risks. A well-written Slate article clarifies everything:

Single mothers, even from wealthier families, have less time. They are less likely to be able to monitor their kids. They do not have a partner who can relieve them when they are tired or frustrated or angry with their kids. This isn’t just a question of taking kids to the array of pampered extracurricular activities that many affluent, two-parent families turn to; it’s about the ways in which two sets of hands, ears, and eyes generally make parenting easier.

Obviously, many children raised by a single mom do just fine, but there is an increased risk of problems caused by single motherhood or growing up without a father. Obviously, gay couples who raise kids usually did really well, but they were two parents, and they played their roles that fathers could've played. Single parenthood, on the other hand, can be risky. See? Even to this very day, although single parenthood is much more achievable thanks to advances in medicine and technology to handle safer pregnancies and the need to have several children for species survival no longer being necessary, it can still potentially cause issues. In other countries, we still have the inconveniences of the past though, which is why they don't adapt to the times, not backwardness.
Now, contrary to popular belief, it wasn't just men historically who had jobs and made money. Women had jobs and shared these gender roles, making money. Even children had jobs and made money because everyone needed to support the family because people would have several kids and we needed as much resources as possible to support several kids with high infant mortality rates. The male breadwinnefemale housewife concept is a 20th century Anglosphere thing. Men did marry later than women and women did rely on men's income because women had to marry and reproduce at a young age to populate the Earth when her reproductive value was at its peak, and men didn't have to begin reproductive careers young as much because they don't have the tendency to carry the baby and only carry one at a time, 9 months each. Because very young women did not have the wealth/resources to support a child all on her own, aside from working to make that wealth, she needed an older, wealthy man to help support her, too, and who had enough money to pay a sufficient dower in case he died or divorced from her and she needed enough wealth to support herself and her kids (that's why dowers existed). This is why age gaps of older men and younger women were evolutionarily beneficial. It wasn't usually a 30 year difference, but a 5 to 10 year difference. In fact, mainstream researchers were incorrect when they made headlines claiming that the pre-agricultural Stone Age societies were generally egalitarian about gender. In fact, in the Stone Age, age gaps in sexual relationships were very common, and have been common for 250,000+ years.
This is why having premarital sex wasn't good, because birth control wasn't as effective as now and so unwanted pregnancies were very high. Child support didn't exist as much either. A woman could not have a pregnancy without a husband, and thus, shotgun weddings existed for premarital pregnancies. Otherwise, you'd have no choice to get an abortion because you couldn't bring a child into this world if you couldn't care for it enough or it'd die or suffer. Men could only have sex with escorts, and escorts were not expected to become mothers and often engaged in infanticides or sterilized themselves. Men could never have sex with any unmarried woman, contrary to what feminists say. The invention of the birth control, which is 99.7% effective, is what started the sexual revolution because people could now easily deter illegitimate children from being born. Feminism didn't start the sexual revolution. The pill's invention did.
In fact, a study found shotgun marriages weren't necessarily more likely to divorce. They only divorced more if they were white or wealthy. Black and poor couples were not more likely to divorce because they probably felt a commitment to this marriage. In fact, most unwanted pregnancies were from men the woman had relationship with, and many times, lived with. However, it wasn't unusual for the relationship to have began not that long ago, and they potentially didn't relate or were emotionally distant. Nonetheless, these weren't just mere one-night stands. Most unwanted pregnancies came from women who didn't use enough birth control, if at all, and most simply said they didn't mind getting pregnant or thought they wouldn't. Just 2% said they couldn't afford birth control. They often refused to use birth control. These people should've used birth control consistently, and if they can't take care of the baby, unless they can deal with a shotgun wedding or unless the man can provide enough child support and the mother can feel she can make her kids grow up prosperous, an abortion shouldn't be viewed as a mere choice, but necessary.
Already, many changes such as later-age marriages and decline of age gaps already happened in Western and Northern Europe in the early 20th century (but not as much in the US) because of their advancements already happening at the time more compared to outside Europe), with the typical marriage age being higher and average age gap being smaller in European countries compared to other countries, including the U.S. at the time. Europe was becoming more modernized early. This is due to European countries having a larger drop than the U.S. in maternal and child mortality rates at the time. Compare the infant mortality rate in the US to European countries in the 1800s, too, and you'll see it was much more common in the US. These changes happened earlier in Europe than the US way before second wave feminism, yet people think second wave feminists caused this change. They didn't. Maternal and infant mortality rates declined dramatically in the 20th century, prenatal care and baby formula were invented, the Earth began to have billions of people, etc., and that's why nuclear families and traditional gender roles in marriage became less normalized, not because of feminism.
Discrimination against men leads to more problems in families, and most deadbeat dads aren't selfish men who don't care for their kids**.**
So now we can see that this concept that nuclear families or having two parents are outdated isn't yet completely true. Women are told they can handle single parenting but many still have to rely on a husband to co-parent with her these days. Some of them could handle single parenting a child successfully, but it can be a difficult task sometimes. Having a positive male role model is what helps boys and girls prosper and actually deters "toxic masculinity" when you have more masculinity, but in a positive way, shown to them as children. Most deadbeat dads aren't refusing to support a child, but often are poor, unemployed or paid a low wage. Most child support pays are done by men with little to no money, and some of them deal with women who don't file for support because they don't want their child to see their father. In fact, research on deadbeat dads found that they usually did try to pay child support, and the ones who didn't were unable to due to poverty, but they often still tried their hardest to contribute in some way. Although just 61% of child support payments were made by men to the mothers of their children, the percentage of mothers who didn't live with their kids who did not pay child support was equal to that of the percentage of fathers who did not pay. This means dads who didn't live with a child paid more often than mothers who didn't live with a child! Unfortunately though, the court system has a bias favoring women in custody battles and women initiate most divorces. Fathers now are seen as secondary parents.
As you can see, people don't seem to realize why nuclear families, men being wealthy, age gaps of older men and younger women, etc. were normalized and why single parenthood, unwanted pregnancies, fornication before the invention of the pill, etc. were stigmatized because people are presentists. Many countries still have the inconveniences of the past, which is why they haven't changed their gender roles, not due to backwardness, and the Western countries force them all to be like us, and call these countries "developing", even if they're a country like China or Saudi Arabia, which are richer or powerful countries for not being copycats of the West. Even now, some parents have to rely on traditional gender roles, and although single parenthood can work out, having a father and having two parents, at the very least, is ideal. I don't mind gay couples adopting kids though. In fact, the wage gap is mostly explained by women becoming mothers, not discrimination. In any country (even egalitarian ones), the pay gap didn't exist until a woman became a mother. This is an example of how hard it can be to work and be a mother concurrently. It's able to be done, but not necessarily.
Men vs. women's reproductive rights
If child support doesn't work for you and the man because he's poor and can't provide, then you better go get an abortion if you aren't financially stable enough or capable of taking care of the kids all on your own, which is already a hard task, even in "egalitarian" countries. Most unwanted pregnancies were found to be from a complete absence, or at the very least, inconsistent, use of birth control. The pill is 99.7% effective when used correctly, and there's no evidence that factors like weight necessarily deter it from working effectively. Most women with unwanted pregnancies due to no birth control usually were able to afford it and were simply found to be making foolish reasoning with their behaviors (cited above). Although birth control should be free, women who are unable to have a baby right now should be using birth control consistently in order to stop unwanted pregnancies.

No experience necessary for the laborer custodial or maintenance mechanic positions. It helps on the interview but you can surely think of maintenance related experience to relay for an interview. Based on fixing things around your house, the car etc. Always mention working safely.

Pro tip: You can apply for any job that has an exam opening and the test is administered local to yourself. Make sure you're serious and score decently; you can turn down the job offer. Keep a physical copy of your exam score, I believe they are good for two years.
The reason is: These job postings can be posted externally at capacity for testing, meaning they will not allow you to take the exam if they have enough qualified applicants. However, if you have a test score on the books, you are a qualified applicant.

Explanation of MVO/TTO to save time:
MVO= CDL B Can only drive box trucks on public roads, can drive anything for moves on postal property.
TTO= CDL A Can drive anything.

USPS provides the training. (Maintenance jobs at least. TTO and management...GOOD LUCK)
