2023.06.07 00:19 ocean6csgo SHOUTOUT: Everyone who contacted Valve asking for Multi-Binds to be reallowed
Fixed bug that would cause input to become permanently broken when multiple commands were bound to one key. Multi-binds are back, except for jump-throw binds (which are now a skillful part of CS).
I don't have CS2 myself, so I can't test; but, I think this includes aliases. This is important for project owners, server owners, and people who have disabilities.
I was pretty vocal about this via email, twitter, etc etc; but, I know there were many others who were making a push on this as well. Thanks ya'll!

2023.06.07 00:18 Goobeeful My Road to #Croker300, a tale of love and loss.
My first Raiders game in attendance was in
Round 25, 2013 against the Warriors. Prior to this, based on the Raiders form at that point I had told my old man that I would just be happy if I got to see Jarrod Croker kick a conversion. What I got was his first ever career hat-trick, granted it had come after SJ and Vatuvei's hat-tricks so we lost 50-16, but his efforts had solidified a one-sided love affair that has taken up too much of my time than I would like to admit for the last 10 years.
One year later I was back seeing my boys in Auckland again and after last year was confident enough to claim that I was 100% going to see a Croker try, and I got a double by the man himself, albeit at the hands of another
50 point thrashing. In 2015 I was unable to go for a reason that alludes me, but I vowed after then to never miss a Raiders game in NZ again. In 2016 I made my old man drive us 5 hours down to New Plymouth so I could keep my promise to myself and was rewarded with another Croker try, putting him equal 3rd on the Raiders try scorer list and my
first time ever seeing the Raiders win in person. However it was a season that ended in heartbreak for me as in the Preliminary Final against the Storm, Edrick Lee had forgotten how to play rugby league and Croker had dislocated his kneecap early on in the contest and was unable to kick the 2 conversions from tries that would have seen him become just the 4th player to reach 300 points in a season. 2017? Another Raiders win and another Croker try for my troubles, as well as the birth of the shortlived
JarrodCroker subreddit.
2018 was not a good year, I had intensive-ish spinal fusion surgery which greatly limited my mobility for a while however I managed to haul myself out to see the Croker-less Raiders fail to win without the great man. One bright spot of the year was during my depression one of my good friends from on this website infact managed to hold Croker hostage and get him to record a nice little video for me, although my name was in fact not Stewart. However I appreciated the effort enough that I reached out to Croker via social media to thank him at least for the effort, as he had managed to lift my spirits in what were at the time some of my darkest days and got the most heartfelt and soul-warming response that has ever been sent in human history:
https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/514377190151028757/1111193652291702835/SmartSelect_20230525_192612_Instagram.jpg What a man.
2019 we got the win in Auckland for Soliola's 300th (Why would you play a 300th away from home?) as we powered our way to the Grand Final which we 100% won regardless of what the result said. stfu. I didn't know it at the time but as of time of writing is the last time the Raiders played in NZ.
As we know 2020 resulted in the games being played in Australia so no-go for me there. In early March 2021 I had my heart broken (not by Croker) which while it fucked me mentally for the rest of the year, I decided I was just going to throw what mental strength I had left back into supporting the boys all out. 2 weeks later a local cinema decided they were going to show the Raiders vs Warriors game live so I hauled myself out of my mental slumber just to see the Raiders throw away a 25-6 halftime lead to lose in the closing moments, and seeing that on a fucking cinema screen just hits you different.
2021 no games again, and Croker had been limited to 12 games due to his long-troublsome knee starting to giving out on him and I was beginning to lose hope of seeing my boy in lights again. Croker got stem-cell surgery later in the year to try and fix his knee in a bid to fend off medical retirement.
2022 resulted in a lone Croker appearance as upon his return from injury he put his body on the line to stop a late Bulldogs try and dislocated his shoulder, while he avoided surgery initally he put his body on the line yet again in a fearsome attempt to grab his TV remote and redislocated his shoulder, resulting in the need for surgery and reigniting fears of a forced medical retirement. My fears of never seeing Croker play again had reached their highest peak, despite him reaffirming he was going to fight on.
This year he fought off calls from Ricky Stuart early on to retire and wanted to prove he was still up to playing NRL. In Round 6 after a Panthers thrashing the group went to Stuart and pleaded for the return of Croker in the team. And return he did. Against the Broncos who were yet to lose a game Croker put in an all-time performance to lead the team to a hard fought and bloodshed 20-16 win and solidified his return to the top grade.
And just a few weeks later the Raiders would head back to Brisbane to face up against the Bulldogs in Magic Round.
And after 3 long hard years of waiting. I was there.
I had reached out to the absolute legends over at
NRLPremiumPlus to see what they were gonna be up to, and lo and behold I was very graciously offered a seat with them for the Raiders game as I would have otherwise been by myself for the opening night. When Rapana scored on the opening set I knew we were gonna be in for a good night. But never in my wildest dreams would I imagine that in the
57th minute, for the first time in 6 years, I would see Jarrod Croker run in a try, proceeding to almost lose my voice in the 30 seconds afterwards. Seeing Croker play again, let alone score was something that at times I thought I would never have the oppurtunity to see again and it was the cherry on top of a perfect Magic Round, although it could be argued that the real memories were the friends I made along the way.
Returning home to Auckland, while significantly poorer I had booked a few tickets for the Raiders upcoming return to Auckland in July, hoping that Magic Round would not be the last time I would see Croker play ball but if it was, I think I would have been OK with it. I missed viewing 80% of Crokers 299th game against the Rabbitohs as I was out for the night but saw the boys hold on to the end and saw Sticky in the press conference saying he was going to rest Croker against the Tigers so that he would be able to run out for game 300 infront of a home crowd with his family and friends in attendance, a heart-warming gesture that shows how much Croker means to the club.
Going home I triple-checked my schedule to make sure I had nothing going on so that I could watch Croker's 300th without any distractions and for the first time in a while my weekend was clear. However the next morning I received a message which changed my life.
https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/514377190151028757/1113995960113188864/image.png Aw shit. As you are reading this I will be getting my affairs in order for a flash-trip across the tasman to head to Canberra for the first time in my life to see my heros 300th game in what will hopefully be a sell-out crowd for my first time at GIO Stadium, if you are around come say hi and more importantly if you know anyway of getting me in the same photo frame as Croker please let me know.
It's been a pleasure to hang around here for more than a few years and share my love of Croker with you all through the highs and the lows and I couldn't pick a favourite person who I have had the pleasure of interacting with since you are all amazing. (Except Aces, Aces is my favourite).
Much love and up the milk,

| my jm-x2 broke a little while ago, and i lost the spring while trying to look inside of it, i also need a flashlight replacement (battery holder), which in total would probably cost around $20 - $25 in total. Is it worth it to fix it? I don’t have enough money to buy a new gel blaster so this is my only option. ^ if there are any cheaper gel blasters that are good quality for the price please link any submitted by hertz888 to GelBlaster [link] [comments] |

2023.06.07 00:14 gmcfiftythreee is this a psychosis trait? You’re gonna wanna read this😳
My mania has made me super human to the point where I become almost robotic, as strong as an ox, and a ——ing machine as I become violent if someone crosses my boundaries or provokes me within my specific lines of no-goes. (Keep reading)
I had this delusions for a while and it turned out to not be a delusion and actually the truth. First I’ll say that I’m usually extremely manic. The more manic I get? The more these factors start to tighten. I will now name the factors. Motor control/coordination becomes extremely high. I use every god damn muscle in my body to do things and when they don’t need high amounts of muscle for the activity, I use just the correct one to get mid to high level tasks done such as fixing my vehicle with high speeds or labor jobs. My strength also goes waaay the - up. As in I can feel my veins pulsing around my arm because my muscles tense up just the tiniest bit. (Its not visually noticeable). It’s like I become super human or robotic. I analyze peoples body language on instinct and have perfected mine. I go to the gym and have been told my poses are amazing. (The stupid mirror flexing ones).
Ive always thought this was a delusion… until me and my girlfriend one day were screen recording the FaceTime call and I built my cousins bike with amazing speed and coordination.
This… is not psychosis is it?😳 p.s. i become violent in psychosis episodes and all of these factors play a role which kinda scares me😅

2023.06.07 00:13 josoz [Property Manager-Switzerland] Tenant stuffs rug into washing machine and expects landlord to pay damages.
This is probably a more US centered sub, but I'd greatly appreciate the input of a seasoned landlord from anywhere. Last year I started to manage the rental properties for my grandfather. I'm pretty inexperienced but I guess it's been going alright so far. For me it's the first time dealing with a situation like this, so please tell me if you think I made some mistakes.
A tenant, let's call her tenant A, is moving out this month. On saturday tenant A tried to wash a rug (about 24×72 inches) with a hard rubber back. She stuffed it into the washing machine she shares with the other 4 tenants in the building and went up to her apartment after starting the washing cycle.
Later, another tenant, I'll call her tenant B, suddendly noticed loud banging noises. At first she assumed someone was practicing on drums, but she soon realized the noise was coming from the washroom in the cellar. She decided to check what was going on and found the washing machine banging and vibrating oddly. She immediatly cancelled the washing cycle and informed tenant A.
Unsurprisingly the device wasn't working anymore. Tenant A told tenant B she'd tell me after the weekend to fix the machine.
Monday morning I got a call from tenant A. She told me she couldn't wash her clothes because the washing machine wasn't working anymore. Of course there's no word about what had happened a few days prior. She offered me to call the service provider of the washing machine herself, but I was going to visit the property anyway this week so I told her I'd do it myself. For some reason she wasn't too happy about that, but I just assumed she wanted to have it fixed as soon as possible.
So I immediatly called a technician and made an appointment. To my surprise the technician didn't show up on time. Just as I was about to make a call, tenant B tells me that tenant A already met with a technician a few hours ago. At first I thought I mixed up the time, but after talking with tenant B some more and making a few calls I found out that tenant A rescheduled my appointment with the technician. Tenant B also told me what actually happened the day the device broke down.
The collegues of the technician at the office assumed tenant A was allowed to do this because she was authorized before to let them fix other devices in her apartment.
My grandfather wasn't really actively managing the property in the last few years and regularly let his tenants give instructions to service providers. He paid pretty much any damages without question (worst one was damage from flushed diapers). I stopped this practice as soon as I took over the property management, but I guess tenant A didn't get the message and felt entitled to draft her own narrative.
Tenant A doesn't think she did anything wrong. She insists that the device was faulty before and her rug was perfectly fitting the machine. Her description of the rug is very different from what tenant B told me, but tenant A can't show it to me anymore because she "already put it in a box and moved it to her new place".
Tenant B is absolutely sure that tenant A broke the machine and doesn't think the machine was faulty before. She told me tenant B must have violently forced the rug into the machine to make it fit. The technician didn't want to point fingers, but he told me it was unlikely that proper use could lead to damage like this.
Fixing the machine costs around 800$. The device isn't new, but only just a bit over half its expected service life. Sadly there's no warranty on it anymore. I'm also currently forced to modernize the building because we've recently gotten a lot of regulations regarding energy efficiency, so buying a more efficient machine might be a good alternative to repairs. Though in Swiss tenancy law you get much less from a tenant if you replace a broken device with newer model instead of repairing it.
TL;DR: tenant breaks washing machine, reschedules my appointment with a technician and denies any wrongdoing.
As a relatively inexperienced property manager I'm not really sure what's the optimal strategy in this situation:
Should I try to make her or her insurance pay some of the damages right now or just retain her deposit when she moves out in a few weeks? Latter is probably more risky but less work for me.
This might depend too much on local laws, but how do you guys usually try to prove malicious usage? Is it enough for me to point to the testimony of tenant A and the technician?
Should I wait with confronting a tenant in a similar situation to get a head start if it comes to legal action? Or do you try to be as open as possible to find a common solution?
Any tips on how to avoid such situations in the future?

2023.06.07 00:13 puzzlednerd Unsure if my expectations were unrealistic
A few days ago, I bought a Topstone 3, XL frame size. I'm 6'4" and 240 pounds. I took it back into the store a few times for some minor tweaks. I'm mostly happy with the bike, but there is a creaking sound when I pedal that just won't go away. It is most noticeable in the highest gear, so it is not a cross-chaining issue. The guy at the store pointed out that the chain ring might not be perfectly shaped, and offered to replace the chain ring. I also took the bike into a different shop, and the guy there pointed out that the bike frame flexes quite a bit when you push on the pedals, which makes sense because the bike creaks rhythmically, specifically when you push down hard with your right foot.
I'm feeling a bit discouraged, because I expected that I should get a really smooth ride after spending $1400 on a bike. I feel like my old $400 mountain bike was much smoother. Then again, when I had that bike, I didn't weigh as much as I do now. I'm also not sure if that one was an XL frame or just an L, but maybe the XL frame flexes more?
Anybody else had this issue? I'm trying to figure out whether I should:
A) Stop worrying and just ride the bike
B) Have the store replace the chain ring with a new one
C) Return the bike and choose a different one
What do you guys think?

2023.06.07 00:11 phareous This sub will be going dark on June 12 and 13 in protest of upcoming Reddit changes
What's happening?
On June 12 and 13,
/SlowHorses will be going dark in protest of upcoming Reddit changes (along with thousands of other subreddits). You will not be able to access the sub during this time.
What's going on?
A recent Reddit policy change threatens to kill many beloved third-party mobile apps, making a great many quality-of-life features not seen in the official mobile app
permanently inaccessible to users.
In addition to providing a better user experience, these apps also help visually-disabled users to access the site through accessibility features not found in the official Reddit app. Third party apps are also used by many moderators of the site, including ones in this sub.
On May 31, 2023, Reddit announced they were raising the price to make calls to their API from being free to a level that will kill every third party app on Reddit, from
Apollo to
Reddit is Fun to
Narwhal to
BaconReader.
Even if you're not a mobile user and don't use any of those apps, this is a step toward killing other ways of customizing Reddit, such as Reddit Enhancement Suite or the use of the old.reddit.com desktop interface .
This isn't only a problem on the user level: many subreddit moderators depend on tools only available outside the official app to keep their communities on-topic and spam-free.
What's the plan?
On June 12th,
many subreddits will be going dark to protest this policy,
including /SlowHorses. Some will return after 48 hours: others will go away
permanently unless the issue is adequately addressed, since many moderators aren't able to put in the work they do with the poor tools available through the official app. This isn't something any of us do lightly: we do what we do because
we love Reddit, and we truly believe this change will make it impossible to keep doing what we love.
The two-day blackout isn't the
goal, and it isn't the end. Should things reach the 14th with no sign of Reddit choosing to fix what they've broken, we'll use the community and buzz we've built between then and now as a tool for further action.
What can
you do?
- Complain. Message the mods of reddit.com, who are the admins of the site: message reddit: submit a support request: comment in relevant threads on reddit, such as this one, leave a negative review on their official iOS or Android app- and sign your username in support to this post.
- Spread the word. Rabble-rouse on related subreddits. Meme it up, make it spicy. Bitch about it to your cat. Suggest anyone you know who moderates a subreddit join ModCoord - but please don't pester mods you don't know by simply spamming their modmail.
- Boycott and spread the word...to Reddit's competition! Stay off Reddit entirely on June 12th through the 13th- instead, take to your favorite non-Reddit platform of choice and make some noise in support!
- Don't be a jerk. As upsetting this may be, threats, profanity and vandalism will be worse than useless in getting people on our side. Please make every effort to be as restrained, polite, reasonable and law-abiding as possible.

2023.06.07 00:07 rupertalderson [Important] r/Jewish going dark in protest against Reddit’s API changes
What's going on?
A recent Reddit policy change threatens to kill many beloved third-party mobile apps, making a great many quality-of-life features not seen in the official mobile app
permanently inaccessible to users.
On May 31, 2023,
Reddit announced they were raising the price to make calls to their API from being free to a level that will kill
every single third party app on Reddit, from
Apollo to
Reddit is Fun to
Narwhal. This tremendously affects
visually impaired and blind users, who overwhelmingly depend on innovative third party apps to use reddit. Even if you're not a mobile user and don't use any of those apps, this is a step toward killing other ways of customizing Reddit, such as Reddit Enhancement Suite or the use of the old.reddit.com desktop interface. These changes could signal future changes that degrade subreddits.
This isn't only a problem on the user level: many subreddit moderators depend on tools only available outside the official app to keep their communities on-topic and spam-free. That includes us, the mods of
Jewish and
Judaism – these are subreddits which are regularly spammed and creatively attacked by antisemites and other trolls. Having access to these API-dependent apps makes our jobs much easier, including with moderating on the go. Reddit's changes will also kill many bots that assist with subreddit moderation and automation, because they are API-dependent.
Additionally, many users of the Jewish subreddits have been targeted by proselytizing advertisements. The official Reddit app (and desktop website) make these impossible to avoid, whereas third party apps allow you to avoid such adds, and also to avoid unwanted subreddit recommendations.
What can we do?
We want your help to decide what Jewish (
and Judaism)
should do. At a minimum we will both have a 2-day blackout, from June 12 through June 13. Posting and commenting will not be permitted in these two subreddits. Do you have any additional ideas or thoughts? Let us know by commenting on this post! On June 12th,
many subreddits will be going dark to protest this policy, in a
coordinated effort. Some will return after 48 hours (starting back up on June 14th), while others will go away
indefinitely unless the issue is adequately addressed, since many moderators aren't able to put in the work they do with the poor tools available through the official app. This isn't something any of us would do lightly – we do what we do because
we love Reddit and our communities, and we truly believe these administrative changes will make it impossible to keep doing what we love.
The two-day blackout isn't the
goal, and it isn't the end. Should things reach the 14th with no sign of Reddit choosing to fix what they've broken, we'll use the community and buzz we've built between then and now as a tool for further action.
What can
you do?
- Complain. Message the mods of reddit, who are the admins of the site. Message u/reddit. Submit a support request. Comment in relevant threads on reddit and redditdev and modnews, such as this one and this one and this one. Leave a negative review on the official iOS or Android Reddit app. Sign your username in support to this post.
- Spread the word. Rabble-rouse on related subreddits. Meme it up, make it spicy. Suggest anyone you know who moderates a subreddit join us at ModCoord, but please don't pester mods you don't know by simply spamming their modmail.
- Boycott and spread the word...to Reddit's competition! Stay off Reddit entirely on June 12th and June 13th. Instead, take to your favorite non-Reddit platform of choice and make some noise in support!

- Don't be a jerk. As upsetting this may be, threats, profanity and vandalism will be worse than useless in getting people on our side. Please make every effort to be as restrained, polite, reasonable and law-abiding as possible.
Please keep discussion of the

[ MAPS ]
- Mirage has replaced Dust II on official Counter-Strike 2 Limited Test matchmaking servers.
[ WORKSHOP TOOLS ]
- Introducing Counter-Strike 2 Workshop Tools which can be enabled and downloaded from in-game settings menu--these tools will allow community contributors to create weapon finishes, stickers, and maps.
- Note: the Steam Community Workshop does not yet support uploading CS2 maps.
- The level editor (Hammer) now leverages GPU accelerated raytracing to both preview and bake lighting for CS2 maps. This significantly speeds up compile times, but as a result a GPU capable of raytracing is required for Hammer to be fully functional.
- Hammer GPU Minimum Specs:
- Nvidia 2060Ti 6gb (2080Ti+ recommended)
- AMD 6600XT (6800XT+ recommended)
[ WEAPONS ]
- The player loadout has been revised: Players have 1 Starting Pistol slot, 4 Pistol slots, 5 Mid-tier slots (previously "SMGs" and "Heavy"), and 5 Rifle slots, per team.
- Assign any (side-appropriate) weapon to any slot within its category.
- Supports drag-and-drop and has been redesigned to fit in on a single screen.
- The in-game buy menu interface has been revised:
- The wheel has been replaced with a grid showing all purchase options at the same time.
- Teammate purchases are displayed on the buy menu.
- Weapon "stats" display has been replaced with simple straightforward descriptions.
- Players can now refund any purchase that was purchased in the same round and has not been used.
- Existing CS:GO items on the Steam Community Market can be inspected in Counter-Strike 2.
[ SUB-TICK ] - Sub-tick movement is now more precise and less "floaty" (per player-feedback). - Releasing movement keys now correctly convey their sub-tick timing. - The top player of a triple-stack can now shoot. - Fine-tuned weapon aim punch recovery to be latency-independent during sub-tick recovery on the client. - Fine-tuned view punch camera shake effect during shooting to be both latency-independent and synchronized with all other sub-tick shooting effects on the client.
[ VOLUMETRIC SMOKE ] - Improved lighting/rendering when smoke overlaps multiple distinctly lit regions. - HE grenade effect times on smoke has been reduced. - Shotguns now create larger holes in smoke volumes.
[ ANIMATION ] - Adjustments to the viewmodel 'inspect' to remove animation popping. - Several viewmodel and blending animation fixes. - Improved traversal animation. - Jumping into the air and running off a ledge is now differentiated to allow for separate character motion.
[ SOUND ] - Player's own footstep sounds are now predicted on the client for a latency-independent experience.
[ RENDERING ] - Improved performance and responsiveness in windowed and full-screen windowed modes. Fixed several bugs and rendering artifacts.
[ INPUT ] - Fixed bug that would cause input to become permanently broken when multiple commands were bound to one key. Multi-binds are back, except for jump-throw binds (which are now a skillful part of CS). - Commands bound to mouse wheels will now be reliably executed. - Fixed bug that would cause input to execute incorrectly after taking over a bot in practice mode. - Inspecting weapons is now predicted on the client for a more responsive experience.
[ VAC ]
- VAC will now live ban and gracefully terminate the match at the end of the round (unless it was the last round and the cheater lost).
- The match will not affect any participants' Skill Group.
- Players that were not lobbied with the VAC-banned player will earn XP for match.

2023.06.07 00:05 Suspicious_Meal5899 Fallout 4 worth it?
I asked this awhile ago but I was wondering if there is actually a solid release date or expected month for the XS enhanced version to release, because all I can find even now is an article from 2 months ago stating it’s expected “later in 2023” which doesn’t give me much to go off of. Now the current version is on sale on Xbox for $6.59 USD and I am itching to play it again! Especially since I already have all the dlc from when I had it on XBONE on disc!
My main issue is that I have heard the game is pretty broken on current gen, especially walking anywhere in Goodneighbor or downtown Boston… and I don’t expect Bethesda to be the kind of developer to fix that if there is in fact a launch coming up for an enhanced version.

2023.06.07 00:04 shinytwistybouncy r/Judaism and r/Jewish going dark in protest against Reddit’s API changes
What's going on?
A recent Reddit policy change threatens to kill many beloved third-party mobile apps, making a great many quality-of-life features not seen in the official mobile app
permanently inaccessible to users.
On May 31, 2023, Reddit announced they were raising the price to make calls to their
APIfrom being free to a level that will kill
every single third party app on Reddit, from
Apollo to
Reddit is Fun to
That includes us, the mods of
Jewish and

Howdy all,
TL;DR: /microgrowery will be joining in on the June 12th-14th protest of Reddit's API changes that will essentially kill all 3rd party Reddit apps. Quite likely you're already aware of this news, and this protest, and the whole shabang. If not:

2023.06.07 00:03 Asteralium r/AnimalJam will be going dark from June 12-14 in protest against Reddit's API changes which will kill 3rd party apps & tools.
If you follow other subreddits you may have heard about this already, but I'd like to explain what's going on to folks who are only here on the AJ subreddit. I'll be taking some quotes from
this post about the situation.
A recent Reddit policy change threatens to kill many beloved third-party mobile apps, making a great many quality-of-life features not seen in the official mobile app permanently inaccessible to users.
On May 31, 2023, Reddit announced they were raising the price to make calls to their API from being free to a level that will kill every third party app on Reddit, from Apollo to Reddit is Fun to Narwhal to BaconReader.
For those of you that don't know, Reddit can be viewed on many apps besides the offical app. Some of these apps have quality of life features that the offical app doesn't have. And they're especially important to folks with vision issues and use screen readers or other accessibility tools the offical app doesn't have. For these apps to work, they make calls to Reddit's Application Programming Interface, The API allows them receive the data they need to display Reddit and send data back to Reddit's servers as well.
Many large subreddits also run their own custom moderation bots that help them keep their massive subreddit clean of spam. They also use the API.
If Reddit were to raise the price to make API calls to what they say, it would make it extremely expensive and basically impossible for these third party tools to exist. So the Reddit community is protesting.
On June 12th, many subreddits will be going dark to protest this policy. Some will return after 48 hours: others will go away permanently unless the issue is adequately addressed, since many moderators aren't able to put in the work they do with the poor tools available through the official app. This isn't something any of us do lightly: we do what we do because we love Reddit, and we truly believe this change will make it impossible to keep doing what we love.
The two-day blackout isn't the goal, and it isn't the end. Should things reach the 14th with no sign of Reddit choosing to fix what they've broken, we'll use the community and buzz we've built between then and now as a tool for further action.
AnimalJam will be participating in this blackout. During this time, you will not be able to access the subreddit. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Although we're a small subreddit, we're still part of the greater Reddit community. The mod team and I have agreed that this is a cause worth fighting for. Reddit works best when it's accessible to everyone.
If you would like to help the cause, you can visit
this post for a list of things you can do to support us. Please spread the word on other social media platforms, complain on offical subreddits or mobile app reviews, and try to stay off Reddit. (I know that can be hard, but you can do it, I believe in you!) If you have any questions, feel free to ask below in the comments.
Also, the art contest is getting extended because of this. A new date has not been set but will be soon.

2023.06.07 00:03 -xcerberusx- why do i feel like this.
i feel like most people who sh actually want to get better and recover from self harm. heck, i mean, i like when i see positive posts on this sub too. im not saying i hate it.
but i just don't understand why i dont feel like that. i have never ever thought about getting better. i have never thought something like "i want to recover from this. i wish one day i stopped self harming".
idk, i just don't really see that happening. and i dont think i really want to recover either? it's just so much effort and im exhausted from everything. and it wont be really worth it for me. im already alone in my life, i have no friends, so i really have no one I could tell about my self harm recovery (my family doesn't know).
I really think nothing's worth it anymore?? I just dont find sense to anything. Why am i studying if i will probably wont end succeeding in my life? Why am i studying if i will probably never have a job and will be a complete failure?
So, why would i try to recover from self harm? Literally no one would care if i recover or keep doing it.
Idk i just think I'll live with this for the rest of my life. Im sorry i just can't understand the people who actually want to get better. I feel really happy for them and hope the best for them. But for me, i cant be fixed. Im so broken. And i will always be like this. I'll live with this for the rest of my life.
Probably no one cares abt this post either, but yeah. That just shows how alone i am lol

2023.06.07 00:03 LeagueofAbnormal Security rant on bikers!!! Literally ridiculous read an ask yourself have I done this! I hope this post at least changes one bikers mind.
I’m actually sick to death hearing about motorbikes being stolen and people saying: “I put the steering lock on” “It was kept in a garage” “I only popped in for a minute” “I didn’t hear anything”
My Nan could pop a steering lock, it’s not difficult or loud. Please buy a disc lock and a budget alarm at best. That will deter some thieves. Even the cheap alarm will have back up batteries and cause a problem. You can link them to your batter if you don’t want to spend money or a garage can wire it to the ignition. It’s hard to stop the white van pulling up and throwing your pride and joy in the van if you don’t have a chain and padlock attached to an anchor or lamp post, but it will at least stop the petty moped gangs. I have abus disc lock front that spins when you try to grind it, a cheap oxford rear disc lock, abus heavy duty padlock with 18mm thick chain with chain cover (want 22mm ideally does cost a lot more) around the rear wheel to a lamp post and another chain through the swing arm, plus a cover and cheap alarm plus Honda HISS immobiliser. If they are honestly going through that then I’m going to hear it. If you have a garage like I did and they got in for my dirt bikes I had 6 chains and padlocks which they couldn’t get through. Happened to be the one night I was drunk and left the alarm off but took them two hours to get no where caught on cctv. That’s another thing cctv just records it happening are you going to get a notification to wake you when the motion goes off on your ring camera… probably not. Alarm your sheds, garages and bikes!! Lock your shit up and don’t think out of site out of mind!!! People get followed and drummed at a later date. If it’s in site lock that shit up!!! To something that can’t be moved. 5 bikes in one week have gone in my area to stupid moped thieves. I don’t care if you have ridden for years or just started out head the word always lock your motorbikes up!!!! Doesn’t matter if you in the village, town or city same rules apply.
I do love my bikes but it’s disheartening seeing all these bikes being stolen when they shouldn’t be. Yes I would love to live in a country where I can leave my bike out side with no security, but unfortunately we don’t. If anyone even attempts to say their quaint little village has zero crime don’t bother reply you will get followed on a ride and your bike will get stolen from your garage door picked with a spam tin opener key, with your no chain anchored bike, with zero alarm.
