Iḿ bored at work so, mostly for my own entertainment, Iḿ sharing what I would like the Revolution to do over the next two transfer windows.
I'm a big roster rules nerd so bear with me.
Summer Transfer Window
Starting the year the revs had all their DP slots and senior roster slots full. However, having put Dylan Borrero on the season ending injury list, they do now have 1 international roster slot, one senior roster slot and a u22 initiative slot open. This is, of course, barring any moves during the summer window that might open up more spaces.
According to the season ending injury rules, Borreros replacement needs to have the same cap hit as Dylan-- 200k (the cap hit for all u22 initiative players over the age of 20). Because of this it makes a ton more sense to replace Dylan with another u22 initiative signing. This is the only way they can spend more than 200k while still keeping the cap hit at 200k as the rules require.
I think the two biggest needs for the revs this window is right winger and defensive depth. I would like to see Bruce use this slot to sign a young right winger (of a similar profile to Borrero).
Another way that Bruce could add some flexibility would be to buyout Jozys contract. Starting this season teams can now buyout one players contract during the season (previously could only happen during the offseason). I dont see this happening, but if I was Bruce I would 100% make the decision and then use the vacated senior roster slot and cap space to sign another CB to compete with Farrell for minutes.

One characteristic of totalitarian states is an extreme version of precisely this. An overwhelming amount of individuals let go of their freedom. It is strangely analogous to a kind of mass psychosis. There is an enormous surrender to the values of whatever doctrine that is in power (totalitarian states and doctrines go hand-in-hand). No doctrine comes to power in a vacuum. Throughout the process of it assuming extreme power, there is profound support for it. The press, various institutions, thinkers, and almost everyone latches on to the central entity having power. What is important is to understand that at the ultimate level of analysis, all such institutions are composed of individuals- individuals who have relinquished themselves to the values of the parent ideology that has, or will, gain power. Why such a surrender happens on a massive scale instead of a local scale is perhaps a question for another inquiry. The aim of this post was just to link these various concepts together. |

My ex and I broke up almost 6 months ago now, and I wanted to just share how my experience has been.
Little Context: Ex broke up with me. I did the age ole begging for another chance, apologizing on top of apologies. I was obsessive in reaching out and just asking to talk, but not to get back together after a couple weeks of begging to get back together after the initial breakup. Eventually she told my mutual friends I was circumnavigating blocks to contact her. My mutual guy friends sided with her and I lost everyone.
This all happened about 3 months ago. It opened my eyes to many things and day by day I am getting better. I was originally what I thought was no contact aka not reaching out, but I was still doing things like posting positive stuff on social media with the hopes she sees it and thinks I’m good. It was so unhealthy, it wasn’t no contact, and it kept opening the wound that was the breakup in my head. I eventually blocked her on everything and it has been that way for 2 months now.
My ex has been with two guys while I can’t think of dating. I’ve grown to understand that is okay. I don’t care if she ever deals with the breakup. My mental health has improved dramatically now that I don’t stalk things like Spotify (imo the most dangerous social media), Twitter, even venmo. (Shocker). I’ve been spending time with hometown friends more, getting outside and being active more, being able to calm my mind down when I want to reach out and show SELF-CONTROL.
I’m far from happy and I’d be lying if I said I don’t want her to reach out, but at the same time I am okay with growing and never talking to her again. I love myself. Someone will love me and I just gotta take things one day at a time.

Toe Jammer will join in with Mammot and Boskus after this first transition. Another transition will happen where the previous three will drop out, leading Phangler and Fwog to sing together and bounce off each other (kind of like an upgraded continent part). Transition happens, Mammot, Toe Jammer and Boskus come back in, Phangler and Fwog drop out, and Maw joke in with Mammot and Co. (I’ll just say this for now on). Mammot and Co. drop out with Wynq getting a little spotlight (and sounding good) due to the environment of the island (will touch on this). Thrumble hits us with one last transition, Mammot and Co. come back in, and instead of Maw this time, the song finishes with a beautiful melody from Kayna (like how Faerie Island does it). That’s how I see the song for Tiawa Island!

One thing I didn’t mention from the previous post was that I would also look at the design of the quad monster itself to draw inspiration. With that said, Tiawa’s design makes it look like it comes from a colder region. I was thinking of either a Tundra or a Taiga biome, or maybe a mix of both. Both these biome are located in northern parts of the world, being way more cold. The island would simply be called either “Fire Tundra” or “Fire Taiga”.

2023.05.31 19:10 Choosemepickme 32 [F4R] East Coast / flaws stitched together with good intentions
After I put my children down for bed in 6-7 hours I'm going to open a wine my new coworker gave me as a gift and have the smallest swirl, sniff, and sip. Maybe I’ll watch a spooky ghost movie. It seems ironic and applicable to my life right now. I don’t know what I’m searching for but you probably need my origin story:
I moved my little humans to an entirely new city and state with no other contact to our prior lives and just want to feel okay for a night or even a few nights if you can withstand me that long. We escaped trauma from many different facets of life and now are left to figure out how we can make this life a happy one on our own. Today I started a new job. The old me is far too qualified and would have gawked at the daily duties. But for right now, I am safe and figuring it out. It will provide enough for us. I’ll do my job with pride and happiness I haven’t felt in a long time. It allows me to stay home with my younger babies and I couldn’t be more happy about that. Today was a half day, I spent most of it writing and editing this post. Friday is near.
We are crammed in a small apartment on over 20 acres that I am convinced ghosts might also be inhabiting. Maybe a lonely mouse or two are wandering the window sills three times painted over with shitty eggshell paint. Maybe I’ll paint a room tonight, add some color and love to these empty walls. Paint a mural. The doors creak, the floor is uneven, all the lights flicker. We didn’t come with anything of value, so this place will be our home and safe haven. I will fill it with love and honesty. I haven’t been able to feel that except in fleeting moments. Nobody will ever have to pretend and I will never raise my voice or hand out of anger.
My children are my world but just for a while I want to be myself, truly myself, without the fear of someone using it against me. I’ve tried to have relationships and friendships of various success and total disaster and they all end the same: I can’t be genuine. I was living in a burning house and I thought the whole world was on fire. I learned a few weeks ago it wasn’t. So I packed us up and drove until my eyes got wet. I had extinguished the flames and saw the wreckage that had started to occur. It broke me. What was done was done and I could not go back. People have reached out and all I can say is I’m so sorry but I have to go
The only people I want to talk to are ghosts of past attempts to make things right. I’ll learn to be okay with that one day, but not today.
If you haven’t deduced by now, I am not a good person. But I am trying to be. I owe a lot of people a lot of things through this weird life, before, and after. I can’t reach out to them now. I can’t right all my wrongs. Maybe they’re reading this now and wondering if it’s really me. Putting my small puzzle pieces together in this post. After all, stranger things have occurred under happenstance and wanderlust. I crave a simple life with simple desires. I don’t need much. I don’t know who I am but I know what I am not.
Not just: the new single lady with three kids showing up to a town under suspicious circumstances, covered in ash and soot, an eternity of bruises and scars on her alabaster skin, a mother, a friend, a lover, a stranger, someone’s sweet escape, his or hers or theirs anymore
I am not just all of those things, but so much more. What I am lies entirely up to my next course of action. I’m not sure what it is. This is a rough start to a new Season 1. You may have decided this isn’t for you. Very well then, move along. Maybe you’ll stick around for season 2 where I get my redemption arc. Or your curiosity is piqued just enough to reach out to me. Like we have known each other for a split second and a lifetime all at once. I might end up painting an entire bedroom tonight just to feel normal. I might end up laying on the ground listening to one of my 150+ Spotify playlists I can’t stop creating.
l might ghost you, but the odds are in your favor of me sticking around for company. Or not. You can have a drink of your own, or whatever vices you have these days. I don’t judge. We can watch something together, or just sit quietly with small talk. I’m a good listener and talker. Let me tell you a sad story with no ending because I’m still writing it. Maybe I’ll start writing again in a few months. Make sense of everything again. I had a lot of hobbies in my past life. I’m pretty good at everything, but only really good at a few things.
I have therapy three times a week and it’s the only human I’ve kept in contact with since I left. It’s been lonely, to say the least meaningful words possible. I am not looking for a sound board to gaslight or abuse, honestly I just want some company while feeling alone. Silent but comfortable understanding. Suffering together can be enlightening. I am longing for something I am not sure exists. Mutual and perpetual sadness always has a weird ring to it. I’ve felt it in raw moments before it got ripped away. Just enough of a kiss, a hug, a tug of the hair, of truth… to want to crave more and more. How selfish and cruel life can be. All I’ve ever really wanted was to be content with life, not even happy.
I can supply an endless amount of good music, TV shows, movies, jokes, and make you feel like your life doesn't suck compared to mine. I like to make people smile and laugh. I think I’m a natural caretaker and I care far too much far too easily, it’s probably my kryptonite. Someone once told me if I had just been honest maybe this wouldn’t have been this way, so I’ll pose the question: does death take drowning in a puddle or ocean differently? The end product is happily the same.
I will respond to chats or messages as I can over the next few hours. Please do not ask me for pictures or sexual advances. I’ve already said what I was looking for but it gets misinterpreted every time. Being alone at night is what bothers me the most about this life. In the sunlit hours I can pour myself into my children, art, music, the day to day mundane. The sun sets and I struggle to explain how lonely it feels. I know I can’t be alone in these thoughts. Are you even out there?
I will leave you with a quote I've been repeating in my head for weeks, often the last thing I can remember before I drift to a nothingness of dark sleep: "Those who escape hell, however, never talk about it. and nothing much bothers them after that"

well, it's a been a year and to start off I just want to say, what a ride. it's not all been good, but really i'm impressed with most of what gen 2 brought, and hey it even spawned a pretty cool fandom, so hey, that's nice.
honestly title says it all let's just get right into it with the worst:
12. Rich People $hit
And the award most predictable choice for worst song goes to... Yeah you all saw it coming, really I don't know what else to say that hasn't already been said; the chrous is lazy, the intrumental is just a lame sample of a motzart song, it's really annoying and smug in it's tone, you get the idea. I guess we should be thankful that this so far is the only real dud in gen 2 and it does highlight how much better the previous songs were in comparison. I know this song has it's fans but, yeah i'm not one of them. One last thing, this song came out during one of the worst period's of my life being so sick that I could barely move, so that might've tainted my view of this song a little bit.
11. Gentleman's Ballad
I didn't mind this one when it first came out but these days it's one I tend to avoid. It's not BAD per say, I just find it kind of annoying (mainly when puff keeps saying "I'm a ho" over and over) and forgetable, also don't like how deejay talks over the second chorus. Again don't hate it but not really a fan either.
10. Damn I'm Ugly
I feel pretty much the same about this one then I did with the last one, not awful but yeah kinda bland and billy something didn't really add anything to it unlike shuba who was the highlight of this is why i'm single, speaking of that song does anyone else think puff's verse sounds really similar to his verse in that song? Well whatever the case, we're out of the ones I'm not big on so it's all uphill from here.
9. Orphan Tears Part 2
This song was perfect for reintroducing YFM to those who remember it and introducing it to a new generation, but looking at it now... it's ok. There's nothing wrong with it, the intrumental is pretty great and stevi's vocals were great, it's sounds good it's just... not as good as orphan tears 1. Like I said it's still enjoyable but now that it's served it's purpose I don't really come back to this one much.

It's poppy, it's catchy, it has some fun lyrics, and that's really it. This is going to sound kinda lame but these early gen 2 songs give me some recent nostalgia for last summer, I think that sums up this one pretty well, it's a nice little summer anthem but it's not one that pops in my head often.

Everything I said about the last one applies here too, but what's odd is that I used to think this one was kinda mid, but it's grown on me a lot since then, I don't know that "if I lay this card down, I can flip any situation around" part like's to sneak it's way into my head. Nothing else to say, just a solid track.

This one's just, good. I have some nitpicks like I feel there's too kinda too much going on, there's 4 vocalists and deejay's part feels way too short, and you could cut wax's part out entirely and really you wouldn't lose much, not that it's bad it's just kind of forgettable. But the rest of it I enjoy, puff's part, the pleasant chrous and espically shuba's part.

This is probably the funniest gen 2 song, I wasn't going to talk about the music videos but you kinda have to with this one; going in I thought it would just be "haha i'm lonely i'll date myself" I was not expecting puff to litterly date the gen 1 puff, and then that ending holy shit it still makes me laugh because of how absurd it is. Anyway, the song is good, it's nice to listen to, it's catchy, it's really all I'm looking for in a gen 2 song.

Looking back I think this one holds up way more then part 2. It's more original for one, taking a bit of a darker tone, the chorus reflects that and it sounds great. For some reason this is then gen 2 song I have the most trouble coming up with things to say so... hello it that pudding.

Ehhh puff and wax's parts are just ok blah bl- HOLY SHIT YOU CAN ACTUALLY HEAR JESSE SING AS BENATAR HIS PARTS ARE SO GOOD AHHHH well anyway this song without those parts is just... ok but man benetar's parts are what keeps me coming back to this one. Hoping to hear more from him in the upcoming year.

Speaking of recent nostalgia, this song came out around my birthday and I usually remember it for that. But other then that, I love this one, the lyrics are funny and imaginitive, it's a suprisinly strong earworm for me, stevi's part are some of the best in all of yfm and the music video is in my opinion the best yet, with some cool references and those pretty glittery shots of the band during the chorus.

Is this an unpopular choice? I don't know but man this one still goes hard every time, the lyrics are once again pretty funny and fits well with the agressive tone, wax's verse is his best verse in all of yfm no contest, the chrous goes pretty hard, I love everything about this one and hopefully it will be topped by one in this upcoming year.
So yeah, I'm quite interested to see what else gen 2 will do, I'm hoping for a good variety, maybe some more guest singers, and hopefully this project won't be retired again anytime soon.

Just wanted to give back to the community as a thank you for all the people modifying games like FO4VSkyrimVR that I love so much.
I recently upgraded my system and ran into some typical Vive Wireless and other common VR issues.
Like many I got frustrated with blue screen issues. I think it is quite resolvable unless a person truly has faulty hardware.
My wireless experience is now amazing and hoping some of my tips my help others with wireless issue.
Troubleshooting Tips:
Check for the obvious off first:
A) CPU frame times:
CPU Frametime example issue
CPU frame time issues are a much larger issue compared to GPU frame issues. If your game is getting constant CPU frame time spikes either your CPU is underpowered, has RAM speed (maybe XMP not enabled), or weird P/E core issues. If your CPU often spikes frame time then no amount of GPU will help you get a smooth VR experience (and some games are worse offenders than others: FO4VR (single core), SkyrimVR and DCS etc.)
B) GPU frame time issues:

Good news here is that you have options. Drop GPU in game settings. Drop rendering resolutions etc. Anytime you can make your GPU render fast enough to prevent GPU frame time within your headset refresh rate zone (or to a point that you can live with it). First dial settings down, then add back after all other issues are resolved.
C) Marching of the dreaded purple line on GPU frame time chart or what feels like a micro stutter:

Often caused by background monitoring processes like Corsair (suxs), MSI etc. You can write a .bat script that can be run before each VR session. Kill all unnecessary processes. Locate by looking at TaskManager > Details > Sort by CPU or Memory usage. Read up dont kill stop critical MS OS processes. Some processes be so embedded that it's best to uninstall them altogether.
taskkill /IM "exact_exe_name.exe" /F
Ex: taskkill /IM "WhatsApp.exe" /F
Stop all unnecessary services. Locate by looking at TaskManager > Services > Sort by Status and look for Running. Read up dont kill stop critical MS OS services.
net stop "exact service name"
Ex: net stop "ROG Live Service"
Purple lines are normal during major CPU/HDD tasks like game start or major texture loading. However, once your game is up or new areas loaded you should NEVER see them, if not you have a symptom of a larger underlying problem.
Here is an example of a "good" purple line during loading of an area
D) Intel WiGig Wireless issue: Streaming image in headset “blurry” or “pixelated” either main game or even SteamVR home
Not enough CPU allocated either SteamVR processes or Intel WiGig process:
If you are running an old CPU and depending on game -- you may not be able to resolve this at all.
You could also set the priority of you all you’re the important SteamVR, game and Intel WiGig process, I don’t recommend using “Realtime” ever. “High” is as high as I would go.
Example:
wmic process where name="vrcompositor.exe" CALL setpriority "high priority"
timeout 1 > NUL
wmic process where name="vrserver.exe" CALL setpriority "high priority"
timeout 1 > NUL
wmic process where name="vrmonitor.exe" CALL setpriority "high priority"
timeout 1 > NUL wmic process where name="Fallout4VR.exe" CALL setpriority "high priority"
timeout 1 > NUL
But don’t mess with CPU affinity setting IMO just let the OS do its thing, else you may end up with CPU core overallocated.E) Vive-pro headset blue or grey screen:
Get the obvious out the way, make sure decent line of site from camera to wireless headpiece. Much less of an issue IMO also you can clearly see your signal strength. You could also try different channels, but that too is not major impact.
Actual Intel WiGig card Temperture is the number 1 cause in my opinion. I placed my card right over a fresh air intake fan and ran fans at max and have not had a single headset blue screen since. I am tempted to add a fixed fan connected to the MB header as a permanent measure. This card is passively cooled, so if your case gets hot inside you can run into blue/grey screen issues.
Example card placement in my pc case Apologies had all my RGB crp turned off.
A well known heat issue is the Vive wireless headset unit: Easily fixed by googling and buy headset fan mod. Vive wireless logs will show if you have this issue, normally you will get blue/grey screen crashes after 80c … if you are running around 45-50c you are probably fine.

If you have fpsVR there is a checkbox to allow showing real time wireless adapter temp too.
Ensure your WiGig process never loses power
You can locate the physical card and ensure Windows never cut its power.
Device Manager > View > Devices by Connection Type > System Devices
Example Link for example in my case, all under 7A3C you change the power setting to
Uncheck - Allow the comp. to turn off device power
Uncheck above box for all subs
Ensure SteamVR never turn off power to VR related USB devices
SteamVR Developer Disable Power Management
Loose USB connection between battery pack and wireless head piece. Probably less of a cause but can easily get a USB 3.0 replacement cable with better shielding.
USB Cable option -- not needed IMO
Length of coaxial cable from WiGig card to wireless sensor camera. Mixed feelings about this. I extended mine by about 3’ … I have zero issues, but increasing the distance could add to image qualify issues. If your troubleshooting remove it from your loop.

Replacement battery pack. If the power is clean, you should be fine. I don't suggest using 3rd party battery packs. Use original when troubleshooting.
I firmly believe the Intel WiGig card and Vive Wireless adapter heat are the biggest culprits to blue/grey screens.
F) Weird perceived in game lag, latencies or what feels like missed frames but without purple line on.
Do not change or add artificial FPS caps either using vsync, or MSI or Steam command line hints etc. One may mistakenly think that for example if your headset is 90Hz that artificially capping your FPS at 90 may be beneficial to remove additional wireless load -- But you actually adding problems with timings that maybe wont even show in fpsVR. Remove caps and aim for max fps.
G) My thoughts on overlocking:
Some posts argue that overclocking, or RAM XMP can be RC for blue screens. My view is that if you overclock and RAM tests are stable, you should not worry about it as you need all the CPU/RAM speed you can get for good VR.
H) Re-projection
I get a bit more reprojection with wireless compared to tethered with cable, but since it adds no latency to my gameplay (that I can tell), it does not bother me. OVR will show your stats. Keep an eye on reprojection and dropped frames. Reprojection is close to non-issue imo.
I) Other tools
latencymon -- somewhat useful to see if you have driver latencies
J) My Hardware
Recently upgraded and built new PC, from 9900KS/3090 to 13900KS/4090 (water-cooled). VR: VivePro (set to 150% rendering with lens mod and vive wireless. Still using old OG Vive lighthouses, Index knuckle controllers and sometimes old Vive wands. I have tried other VR headsets, but OLED, lens mod (clear) and total freedom of wireless to me are subjectively better. I don’t like the SDE I get, but can give up wireless and lens mod and OLED.
VR games I enjoy: Mostly FO4VR and SkyrimVR Current 13900ks/4090 VR play space and setup
Pancake Games: 1400p x3 screens DCS, E:D etc. My old 9900ks/3080 setup flight sim
What "good times" in FO4VR can look like:
Looks for frame times and temperatures, Vive Wireless temp. at very bottom.

Geez,their costs are out of control and getting worse. I had promo for spectrum streaming tv which just expired. Called to see what they offer. Now streaming costs 54 oh and don’t forget the additional $22 broadcast fees bringing monthly cost to $76. I cancelled tv since honestly just watching local news so cost not worth it. Options: Looked into very “basic 10” channel option and that is now “basic 15” at 44 per month. So not worth it there since adding the bcast fee is another $22. Then explored potential bundles but rep said nothing available for phone, internet and streaming tv. Was offered $193 for all three which seems more ala carte. So in summary, just bu removing tv brought package down from $193 to 114. Will most likely cancel phone next and bring it under a $100. Then will downgrade internet from ultra since not a big difference with standard. Now just deciding on next streaming service. Plus antenna to get a few stations in my rural area.
Seems to me that I should cancel and re-enroll as new customer every year which is doable since i am away for 90-120 days anyway.
Hate to play the game …but costs are killing me.
