this is sort of a throw away account, my only other post is literally about tampons lol, but idk how to use this app and i needed a place to put this so here we are.
my toxic relationship started happy, like you hear all the time. they were a narcissist and a liar. i saw through the mask, i think most people do, but i chose to ignore it. i knew she was not the person she pretended to be.
the first red flag was how close she got with my best friend, like as soon as we got together boom. J this J that, it was like J was her girlfriend and not me. and J’s straight and i am not and obviously neither was she. (important later) the first 5-ish months were perfect. i distinctly remember our first fight. my girlfriend, L, had run off after we said not too and was being followed by some random guy. i got so mad i asked her why she would do that after i told her it wasn’t safe. we were hours away from home and didn’t know the mall very well. she just looked at me and said “why are you being a bitch today?” i just started confused at her and gave up. later i walked in to cuddle with her or something idek and she just was distant and scooting away so i asked if she wanted to talk and she just walked out. she said i was being a bitch. i apologized and sobbed a lot. i cried and begged and said i was sorry and not to be mad i just wanted her to be safe but she didn’t listen to me and we argued at my best friends house right there (i am so sorry bsf i love you sm) i cried in the bathroom and just covered my head with my hands until she eventually cooled off and had another friend come in with her and talk about why what i did was wrong (no idea what i did when i asked she just changed the subject) and we moved on after that.
we started fighting more later in the year and it got so bad. she told me my best friend of 2 years was in love with her and had confessed to wanting her and trying to kiss her (i should’ve talked to her about it but she convinced me that she would’ve denied it and manipulated me into thinking i was alone) i hated myself for not being as good as this friend. suddenly my gf was hanging out with her every single day. suddenly i saw them together all the time. suddenly they only talked to each other. i had lost a girlfriend and a best friend in one swoop. i panicked. i left them both. i cut my best friend off and watched to see if my gf would react the way i thought she would. she did. she talked shit about me to my now ex bsf. i was stunned. my ex did the talking, my bsf just missed me and really had no shit to talk but the fact that i left and said pretty nasty things.
(yes i did i will admit that out of this whole story one of my biggest regrets is letting her make this girl i had known for years seem like a terrible person in my brain i will never ever forgive myself for leaving that day or for the things i thought about this girl that i let my girlfriend put in my head)
I left my gf L next. it was sudden. i can’t even go into detail because i don’t remember anything from that week. i was such a huge wreck i couldn’t breathe without thinking about her. all i knew is i needed her back. i got her back. then my bsf. slowly my relationship with them got better. then the fighting began again. i was a wreck and she left me constantly and asked for me back. the first couple times i just said no until she gave up and then i actually gained a bit of dignity and self respect and said okay. until she said she missed me again and i said i miss you too. yada yada. blah blah. it was on and off for days and then she left my bsf. it was a stupid fight over some money left at my gfs house that my gf insisted didn’t exist or wasnt there i have no clue idec it seems dumb now but it was 200 dollars and it was important to my bsf so it was important to me. then, 4 days later, after so much tension and her only seeming happy when she was getting fun time iykwim i brought it up. she apologized. she said it was the only thing keeping her head out of the dark space. i felt used. i haven’t really talked much about the things she did personally to me, which makes this story seem dumb to most people but i can’t talk about them. my brain has blocked it all out and my head spins whenever i think about it. i cry if i think about some of the things she did to me and would never put someone through that. just a couple hours after that conversation she left me. she came back and left several more times but that was the big one. she is on my team. i’m a catcher shes a pitcher, every time i look at her it’s like the pain comes back. i don’t love her anymore, i just feel so much pain and so much anger and i’m so ashamed i went through some of those things and never realized what she was doing to me. we talked after the break up. she told me she enjoyed manipulating and hurting people because she loved having the power of pain over someone’s head. who says that? she asked out another dude while we were together. (she’s asked him like twice since too) he said no. it’s hard to not feel anything towards her. what do i do? how do i fix the empty hole she left?
she constantly threatened me, she told me if i got her mad enough she would hurt me. she said it several times. i tried to take a .5 picture of her once and she threw the phone at my face and busted my lip open and i bled everywhere, i never even got a sorry. and the thing that makes me the most angry is the mask she puts up to other people. i’ve warned a ton of those people with proof such as both her crushes but i cant save all of them.

You’d think being trans myself, I’d know how to handle this, but I don’t.
My (20 they/he) best friend (20 they/she) recently confessed that they have feelings for me. We’re already very close and it’s made me realise that we’re already basically in a romantic relationship, just without kissing or sex.
I don’t have a genital preference, but I am almost exclusively attracted to women / feminine people. They’re transfem, and I’m realising I’m already attracted to their “feminine personality”, but feel sexually repulsed by certain masculine physical characteristics. They’ve been considering HRT, and I think there’s a large chance if they took that step I would become physically attracted to them.
It seems like the main reason she hasn’t done it yet is fear of social/political repercussions, but I still don’t want to be like “i’ll date you if you transition”. I also don’t entirely know what her transition goals are, and don’t want to basically forcefem her. Either of those would be so weird and shitty. I also don’t want to trigger her dysphoria by saying she’s too physically masculine for me.
I know I’ve been giving off mixed signals because of the split attraction, and after her confession I need to explain how I feel. Any advice on how to approach this?

Ik ben recent ingetrokken in een nieuwe huurwoning en maak me wat zorgen over het gedrag van mijn nieuwe huisbaas.
Het huis heeft een mooie tuin. De huisbaas heeft bij het betrekken van de woning echter laten doorschemeren dat hij verwacht dat ik me inzet voor het onderhoud en bewatering van de verschillende bomen en planten. Nu geniet ik ook van de tuin en vind ik het best leuk om wat te tuinieren, maar dan wel uit vrij wil en niet vanuit de verwachting van een ander. Een voorwaarde in het huurcontract is hierbij dat ik zelf niets in de tuin mag planten of mag verwijderen zonder toestemming. Ik vraag me af of deze eis überhaupt wel gesteld mag worden en daarnaast hoe ik kan garanderen dat ik niet verantwoordelijk wordt gehouden voor het onderhoud.
Ook blijkt vanuit gesprek met de vorige huurders dat de huisbaas een extra sleutel van het pand bezit. Zij wisten me te vertellen dat hij zichzelf hiermee wel eens ongevraagd toegang heeft verschaft om iets uit de tuin te halen. Mocht dit nog eens (dreigen) te gebeuren, hoe kan ik hier dan het beste tegen optreden?

A lot of my hobbies are nerdy and overlap with fan culture a decent amount. I run a small twitch channel and my identity as a queer man is pretty visible. It's great, but sometimes I attract the wrong attention.
My issue is that a lot of my female friends talk about gay men and gay male culture a lot. I would love this if it were in a celebratory way, or if it were trying to relate or include me as a queer guy but.. oddly enough it feels like the complete opposite. They talk as if they are experts on gay men, and sometimes say really incorrect things about gay sex, gay culture, etc. They can get very opinionated, but often don't really know wtf they are talking about.
My boyfriend has told me that he often feels ignored and spoken over by some of these friends, because he doesn't meet the "type" of gay guy that they seem into.
Sometimes there are problems with boundaries with these friends as well.
One friend sat in our living room just gushing about Kpop idols. We were trying to roll with it, watch the MVs she kept slowing us (my boyfriend enjoys Kpop casually) but she thirsting over these guys in a possessive way. Then she started describing some media she liked and how good the "queer rep" was. When she put it on, it was literally just yaoi. This nearly 30yo woman just deadass put yaoi on our big screen TV lol. I don't talk to her anymore for a few other reasons, but Jesus.
I'm just getting a little exhausted, honestly. When I try to set boundaries I tend to trigger people's defenses. If I ignore it, it only escalates. "Get better friends" is easier said than done, because I have already burned several bridges over this stuff. But I don't want to be treated like a novelty or a hypersexual gay best friend stereotype either. Any advice on how to manage this? Just get better at spotting the red flags I guess?

With this new solo raid dropping I was thinking about what comps I’ll need in order to do my best. I’m sure that many new and older players feel the same. Blacksmith is a pretty easy boss even in SI so comps and strategies aren’t as fleshed out as things like train or modernia. My idea is a weekly pinned thread with the current raid. So I’m planning on switching universities from where I’m currently a Professional Media major to a different school where I want to be a Theatre Design & Tech major instead. It’s not a highly selective school so it’s not like I need the best of the best portfolio in the industry, but I do need a bit of help.
As mentioned, the admissions office asks for a portfolio for incoming students, but I don’t have one. I just finished my sophomore year as a Pro. Media & Music Performance double major so I was previously working on the TV / News / Film (and music) side of entertainment instead. I’ve also worked on film sets and with media companies, however I’ve not come away from these experiences with a whole lot of things to reference in a portfolio.
What kinds of things should my portfolio for this program include and how do I get these things when my background isn’t in theatre previously? I want to know all my options for this! I’ve been trying to get into local theatre productions in order to pad this out, but it’s at that time of year where all the local places have already filled out their cast and crew until fall……

Looking for some advice please.
I was wondering what’s the best way to convince my gp for a referral to see an endo specialist without sounding like I’m self diagnosing? To give you some context, I had an appendectomy/exploratory lap last year by a general surgeon because of ongoing lower abdominal pain. In surgery, they found a ruptured cyst, a “mildly enlarged cystic ovary”, and appendicitis, but no evidence of endometriosis.
However since the surgery my pain hasn’t gotten better, in fact it’s getting worse. Here’s my symptoms: lower abdominal pain that’s present most of the time, period pain that doesn’t respond to OTC meds, ovulation pain, lower back pain, painful intercourse, recurring UTI symptoms but no UTIs.
Because no endo was found in the surgery last year, my GP suspects I have IBS and not endo. I have seen my Gastroenterologist and she has scheduled in a colonoscopy for next month. I really like this GP as she always takes time to explain things to me and is super empathetic. I may not have endo at all but i also feel like a gynaecological referral would be beneficial. So how do I go about asking for a gynae referral without sounding like I’m questioning her diagnosis? Thank you.

Suddently a woman with very large boobs pops out of complete nowhere and appears in front of her an began hitting her face with them. Hi, i’m going to try to explain this to the best of my abilities. I live in an apartment complex in Florida, in front of my house is a fence that separates the complex from the strip of houses on the other side. recently a homeless man has set up camp. He has a tarp setup with his clothes hung over the fence. normally i wouldn’t mind if it wasn’t disturbing anyone but everyday he screams. he screams about how he is going to kill everyone and he constantly has people with him and threatens them also. tonight my husband caught the man peeking over the fence into our windows and once the man saw my husband look at him, he ducked. i have blinds but if you have a cat, you know those will not stay in place. our neighbors have kids that play outside and i am just very uncomfortable even taking the trash out anymore. I don’t even know if this was worth the post because my apartment complex said they couldn’t do anything because it isn’t their property. i just want to know if i were to call the police, if they would be able to do anything. thank you for taking the time to comment advice if you do!

I've noticed that the greater majority of players are running the exact same combination of Noctowl, Vigaroth, and what seems like a wildcard choice of any of Obstagoon, Swampert, Lanturn, or Stunfisk (either version). This basically results in a team that rock-paper-scissor's itself when confronted with the inevitable mirror matches, which I GUESS is a feasible strategy, and is probably the result of someone's galaxy brain tier list somewhere.
At this point, I've given up on running a "fun" team, and have just dedicated my existence to making an anti-meta team that's intentionally built around having each 'mon being able to hard-counter 2 of the ones above. While I'm not going to say what I'm running or how it may fare against a team of random stuff (which does appear about...idk...1-in-4 matches?), I'm consistently getting an average of 4 wins per set simply because it demolishes the above team every time it comes up.
My advice for anyone else that's fed up with seeing Noctowl and Vigaroth over and over again is, rather than playing the exact same team because "it's the best one statistically" or whatever, just assume everyone's going to play that team and find something specifically suited to countering it. It will turn the frustration of losing to or mirroring with cookie-cutters into at least mild satisfaction and make PVP a little more enjoyable
...or at least for a couple of weeks until Giratina and Trevenant come back.

In early January before the Apple Arcade remake was released, I revisited this game and remembered how much I loved the soundtrack, so after a few months of daily checking Amazon Japan for a listing I was able to order a sealed copy of the CD for a little under 20 bucks (although I also had to pay 20 more bucks for international shipping through Buyee lol). Every now and then I check the Amazon link out of curiosity or boredom and through there I found out it's now available on streaming services!
Spotify and YouTube say the album was released on May 29, just over a week ago! Not sure why Game Freak decided to release it digitally now (since the original soundtrack is almost a decade old at this point) but it's great to see this game getting the love it deserves!!
