2023.06.07 01:38 RoahZoah Help me pick a summer sandal!

Hi all! I need a summer sandal I can wear almost daily. It can’t be too high because I have to chase little kids but it also can’t be too flat because it’ll hurt my hips/knees/feet after a while. You know how it is.. I realized I have a lot of sandals but I would rather have 1 good pair that checks off all the boxes, than 4 ok pairs.
This is my number one choice:
Nisolo Flatform in almond
I love it, I’m just worried this style will become lame. I do like it and I wish it was a little girlier but I think it seems like it checks off all the boxes. I think it’ll look nice with most daily pants, shorts and dresses. Thoughts?
Other options:
SOREL (in brown or neutral) absolutely love these but they just seem a bit too high.
Michael Kors (in brown) I love the look of these and think it’s the most feminine of all. The height is also good. Cons: not real leather, loud branding
Was looking at espadrilles but unsure..
I like Tory Burch but don’t want to pay $300 for flat sandals.
I already have Birkenstocks Arizona and am looking for something a bit different and girlier next!
What do you guys think?
Anything else you guys can recommend?
Thanks so much!

2023.06.07 01:03 hey_hi_hello_hola Itinerary feedback

Hello, I am traveling to Ireland Sept 9-16, flying into Shannon and out Dublin from the US. We are two active women in our 30s. I’d love feedback on the itinerary I’ve developed, especially the first 3 days because I’m not sure it’s all doable, but would love to see as much as realistic. Would also like advice on where to stay overnight day 2, and if I should take the car ferry or drive through Limerick to Dingle. Recs on good car rental companies for automatic vehicles and different pick up/drop off locations would be helpful as well. Thanks in advance.
Day 1 - Sat •Arrive Shannon airport 0730 •Drive to Connemara National Park •Diamond Hill hike •Kylemore Abbey •Visit Cong Overnight Galway
Day 2 - Sun •Aran Islands - Ferry from Galway or Rossaveel or Doolin? •Cliffs of Moher - walk from Doolin to Cliffs center •Doolin Cave •Drive along Wild Atlantic Way to The Burren •O’Brien’s Tower Overnight Suggestion?

Slea Head Drive Conor Pass Drive Ferry to Great Blasket Island Dunbeg Promontory Fort Gallarus Oratory Overnight Dingle Town
Day 4 - Tues •Ring of Kerry including:
Skellig Michael Staigue Fort Gap of Dunloe Visit Kenmare? Gleninchaquin Park Overnight Killarney

2023.06.07 00:55 czayez Mattress Help!

Where would be the best place to donate/does anyone want 2 amazing condition queen mattresses with bed frames and box springs? (From Creekside). It was a family vacation rental that was barely used and they are in perfect condition and high end.
Apparently the re-use it center won’t take them and it would be a shame to toss.
TIA for any help 🙏

2023.06.06 23:01 Coruscated Timeline & Thoughts on the Eternal Cities

I want to start by crediting Tarnished Archaeologist, Hawkshaw, Sinclair Lore and SmoughTown for their video essays on Elden Ring lore. The credit is general, because I, to my shame, really can’t remember exactly where I first heard a particular notion brought up, and how it goaded me into my own further thoughts. Most of my thoughts on Elden Ring lore are like this, it all gets muddled and I forget if an idea was even my own initially. You can probably hear many of the below ideas in their work, and more fleshed out at that. But (in case anyone here actually needs to hear this) the point is that I warmly recommend them all and don’t really want to take any personal credit for what follows, it’s more or less just the conclusions I’ve reached based on all the Eternal City-related lore I’ve consumed.
Happy to hear any thoughts, further observations and counter-points on anything below as nailing down the timeline/nature of the Nox and their cities is one of the biggest conondrums I've had with the game's lore.

PART 1: FLOURISHING ON THE SURFACE

The Nox once lived above ground

Nox Monk Armor says:
“Long ago, the Nox invoked the ire of the Greater Will, and were banished deep underground. Now they live under a false night sky…”
They most likely lived above ground, and had their heyday, at least partially in pre-Erdtree times. Siofra River map says:
“This vast region is said to be the grave of civilizations that flourished before the Erdtree”.
There are only two civilizations in Siofra: the Uhl/Ancestral Worshippers, and the Nox.
Nokstella features statues matching the ones found on Divine Tower bridges (and lots of other places, like the Fortified Manor; basically early/pre-Erdtree statuary). It isn’t common imagery in the Eternal Cities, but it is there. This ties them to whatever civilization - be it pre- or early-Erdtree - that made those statues.

Reason for banishment

It was for invoking the “ire of the Greater Will” they were banished. But they were once, in some way, aligned/allied with the Greater Will.
The Fingerslayer Blade says that it is:
“...proof of the high treason committed by the Eternal City”
You can not commit high treason against something you’re not aligned with in the first place.
This could mean they were banished early on in the Age of the Erdtree, when the Greater Will is perceived to have become the “main god” in power, or that they themselves served the Greater Will directly in pre-Erdtree times.
The implication seems to be they were a faction/part of an alliance, but not necessarily the leading one - because someone had the power to determine their actions were to be considered treason, and banish them underground. This is all, of course, assuming the details haven’t all been lost to time to such an extent that it’s only believed at present they were banished for treason when the actual truth was something a bit different…

People of the day and of the night

The giant ever-shining Erdtree and the removal of Death from existence symbolizes a land out of natural balance. Life has won over death. Day has won over night. The Erdtree is like a perpetual sun that prevents the Lands Between from having any true night, coupled with the literal complete halting of the stars’ movements by the warrior, born of sorcerers, Radahn.
Like how Marika, the golden-eyed queen of life, claimed complete victory over the gloam-eyed queen of death, the stars- and night-worshipping Nox completely lost to the Erdtree and its everlasting day. But as we said before, they weren’t just conquered in war like the Fire Giants - they specifically committed high treason. Nox architecture also looks conspicuously modern and advanced, much more in line with modern Leyndell architecture (totally different style, but in terms of advancement) than any older civilizations like the giants or dragons.
I believe, therefore, the Nox most likely had their heyday right before and in the transition period to the Age of the Erdtree. It’s pretty well-supported that this was the civilization Marika herself actually arose from; early patches called the Nox “Empyrean Family”, the BK Assassins are said to both be Numen and descendants of the Eternal City to this day, so-called Numen Runes are found underground in the domain of the Eternal Cities. But the Nox’ original religious beliefs, cultural practices and ultimate desires became increasingly incompatible with the newly established Golden Order. They didn’t openly rebel and start a giant civil war or anything, but… we’ll get to the rest.

TERMINOLOGICAL INTERMISSION

Does the term “Eternal City” only refer to the cities underground? I think it’s worth considering. This was my initial assumption, but the Black Moon
“once hung above [Nokstella]” and was “the guide of countless stars” but is now “lost”
Its fragments are all found on the surface, collected by sorcerer-astrologers and kept in their towers all across the world. Not one is found underground, where Nokstella itself only has a talisman that “represents" their lost moon. So it seems likely that the moon hung above Nokstella when it/its people was on the SURFACE, and guided (pulled in with gravitation?) stars to them. This would imply the term “Eternal City” can refer interchangeably to the cities as they were on the surface or the rebuilt (?) ones underground. And that has at least one possible further implication.

PART 2: LIFE UNDERGROUND

How did the “banishment”/ruination of the cities come about?

Eternal Darkness is a sorcery originating from the Eternal City, and is said to be
“the despair that brought about its ruin made manifest”
The spell creates a black hole that draws in sorceries and incantations. One interpretation would be that this was considered heretical, and was part of why they were banished, but I do not think so due to the use of the word “despair”. Did the Eternal City conjure such a giant version of this black hole that it pulled in a deluge of stars, which smashed their black moon and wreaked havoc upon their cities? That would certainly be cause for despair, and ruin to follow.
But the Fingerslayer Blade is also
“proof of [the Eternal City’s]high treason … and symbolizes its downfall”
So it seems we have two items that function very differently yet both lay claim to symbolizing/closely relating to the ruin/downfall of the cities.
Personally, the most elegant way to square the two is to say that time has muddled the specificities of their downfall. They did turn against the Greater Will and either attempted to, or did, slay one of the Two Fingers. They ALSO fucked around with cosmic research and found out. They made themselves public enemy number one with their treason, and brought ruin on their own cities with their reckless starchasing. Thanks to the passage of time, the two events coalesced into one story about them “drawing down the ire of the Greater Will and being banished underground”. Or maybe was promoted as such by the powers that be.

How did the move underground actually happen?

There are no “Eternal City ruins” on the surface whatsoever. They’re all underground. There are the towns in the style of Sellia, Ordina and lower Leyndell, but these seem much less advanced, perhaps residencies for commoners and not the high clergy/researchers that make up their high society. This is actually pretty odd considering there are ruins of virtually EVERY type and from every time period for us to inspect and ponder on across the Lands Between.
So this raises the question of whether the Nox literally moved their stuff underground.
Spatial displacement is uncommon in Elden Ring, it’s not something you can just theorize someone did and leave it at that. But the few times it actually comes up can be at least tangentially tied to the Nox. Astel can teleport freely, and while he’s known for destroying, not helping them, his is still the kind of power the Nox were eagerly fucking around (also known as researching) with. And the teleporter gates - so omnipresent and mysterious - by their outward appearance at least, are, in fact, distinctly Noxian. The first time your average player is likely to run into one is probably in the Siofra River, bringing them from the lower Uhl ruins to the higher strata right below the Eternal City proper.
Personally, I also think the particular way the Nokron Eternal City buildings intersect with the older Uhl ones looks really odd and slapdash. There seems to be little rhyme or reason and you go from one to the other pretty spontaneously. Lastly, let me tie this back to those few conspicuous statues - why would they bring these with them, or rebuild them exactly, if they represent a tie to a civilization they have left behind, betrayed, and become hated by?

Astel's assault

This presumably had to happen before Radahn stopped the stars, or an Astel would not have been able to descend on the Lands Between.
The Nameless Eternal City is the only one missing its false night sky and so it’s assumed that it was also inhabited by Nox & friends before Astel’s assault killed every last one of them. Leyndell later hermit-crabbed in with their gargoyles, mausoleum and Godwyn burial.
HOWEVER,
an alternate take would be that Astel’s assault refers to the very same event that caused them to flee underground in the first place. The sky he took away was their true sky. This doesn’t really work with the item description as written though, because it specifically says “an Eternal City”, so it would require there to be some translation errors at play... I know plurals can sometimes be weird in japanese translations, but I'm otherwise totally ignorant and won't delve further into this here.
This would call into question what actually happened with the Nameless Eternal City, seeing how it's the only one without any actual Nox present and also completely wrecked. Tarnished Archeologist’s thesis is that it actually was part of Leyndell itself - the odd giant moat with its gates to nowhere between the main city and the outskirts which matches the location and shape of the underground Eternal City almost perfectly. We can perhaps attribute the ruination to lack of upkeep combined with the wild growth of Erdtree roots, and the Nox aren't there because Leyndell came down and chased them away (they probably wouldn’t want their hated enemies that want to destroy their order, right at the very roots of their golden tree that empowers said order).

Research into artificial life

I believe the Nox were screwing around with artificial life even before their downfall. It marks a clear symbolic opposition to the Greater Will, the Erdtree and its power of natural, organic life - true gold and false silver. I believe the Albinaurics were at one point, in cut content, outright said to be made by the Eternals; in the present game it seems more likely that the sorcerers of Raya Lucaria (likely with aid from Nokstella, though) are responsible but the tie still remains. This research seems to have accelerated underground, in any case, with them deprived of any access to the true life of the stars.
One can see a force of counter-revolution take shape. A small number of immensely powerful shock (har har) troopers; a large and extremely flexible base force; and a lord to lead them, though all under the control of their masters, the clergy of alchemical savants.

PART 3: REMAINING THREADS TO THE SURFACE

Sellia

Sellians are, as per Gowry,
“descendants of the Eternal”
They use sorceries that originates from Nokron as per Night Maiden’s Mist and the aforementioned Eternal Darkness. Nox are also present in Sellia itself. Sellia is known as a shady town of treacherous sorcerers that competed violently for clout, which seems to have been spurred on by them acquiring powerful sorceries from the Nox, repeating the theme of an excessive yearning for power and knowledge leading to self-destruction. Its secretive nature and geographical distance from the center of power in Leyndell likely made this a convenient place for the Nox to scout the surface and begin to reestablish some connections.

Caria

The Carian-controlled Church of Vows features a statue of a Nox Nightmaiden. In its basin one can use a Celestial Dew, a hidden “Night Tear” originally from the Eternal City itself, to absolve oneself of sins.
This could be taken in multiple ways. The Nox statue is probably used because they are known to all as great sinners. But it may have served a different purpose originally, and to the Carians (just not to any Golden Order-friend who comes sightseeing), perhaps still?

The Black Knives & Ranni

The Black Knife Assassins were descendants (scions) of the Eternal City nobles. They were clad in silver, the cities’ metal of choice for their craftsmanship.
Liurnia lies above the Eternal City of Nokstella. Ranni has a portal to Nokstella in one of her towers. Iji says he presumes we have heard of Nokstella. But it is Nokron which contains the secret relic of betrayal, the Fingerslayer Blade.
The implication seems to be that the Carians communicated with Nokstella, which in turn had been separated from Nokron for a long time. After all, we find no teleporting devices connecting the two, and the Golden Order has placed its mighty full-grown gargoyles at the waterfall which could potentially connect them via Deeproot Depths.
Ranni’s compatriots were possibly a mix of ladies of the court, who had ostensibly stayed with Marika but secretly plotted a new betrayal, and sorcerous technology from Nokstella.

2023.06.06 22:34 Coruscated Test

Eternal Darkness is a sorcery originating from the Eternal City, and is said to be “the despair that brought about its ruin made manifest”

This would call into question what actually happende with the Nameless Eternal City, seeing how it's the only one without any actual Nox present and also completely wrecked. Tarnished Archeologist’s thesis is that it actually was part of Leyndell itself - the odd giant moat with its gates to nowhere between the main city and the outskirts which matches the location and shape of the underground Eternal City almost perfectly. We can perhaps attribute the ruination to lack of upkeep combined with the wild growth of Erdtree roots, and the Nox aren't there because with Leyndell came down and chased them away (they probably wouldn’t want their hated enemies that want to destroy their order, right at the very roots of their golden tree that empowers said order).

Help me start my bag collection!
Hey everyone! I'm looking to buy a leather handbag to restart my collection but I have no idea where to begin. When I was younger, I had a few cutesy Coach bags and Michael Kors bags, but now I'm looking for a grown-up purse to treat myself now that I've graduated medical school.
Some preferences:
- Budget is $500 max, but hoping to keep it lower since I have a lot of student loans to pay off 😜
- Looking for black, tan, or gray/white bags to start! I eventually want to buy more colors but I need some neutral basics
- I want something thats wearable for everyday, but could be worn for the occasional night out. My style tends to skew more minimalist and I'm not a huge fan of logo prints/huge emblems.
I've attached some pics of bags I like for inspiration, but I would love any suggestions from more experienced bag collectors! TIA
LOVE this bag, but its def out of my budget rn

Considering getting this in black or chalk!

2023.06.06 21:02 SanderSo47 'The Flash' Review Thread

Rotten Tomatoes: 72% (65 reviews) with 6.50 in average rating
Critics consensus: While it plays too much like a sizzle reel of DC's greatest hits to fully stand on its own two feet, The Flash has enough heart and zip to maintain a confident stride.
Metacritic: 60/100 (28 critics)
As with other movies, the scores are set to change as time passes. Meanwhile, I'll post some short reviews on the movie. It's structured like this: quote first, source second. Beware, some contain spoilers.
The early word on The Flash calling it one of the greatest superhero movies ever made was pure hyperbole. But in the bumpy recent history of the DC Extended Universe, it’s certainly an above-average entry.
-David Rooney, The Hollywood Reporter
Miller's the Flash goes back in time to change the future and connects with Michael Keaton's Batman. But the movie, after a smart and playful first half, gives itself over to comic-book bombast.
-Owen Gleiberman, Variety
In its best moments, “The Flash” touches on something new and exciting, but too often, its the past that tugs on, keeping it from speeding ahead.
-Kate Erbland, IndieWire: B–
The Flash is an ambitious superhero movie that largely pulls off its tale of two worlds, two Flashes, and two Batmans. The superhero fan service is strong with this one – perhaps too strong at times – but it never fully overshadows Barry Allen’s genuinely tragic and heartfelt story of grief. Though the visual effects aren’t always the best and the third act is a bit overwhelming, strong performances and a refreshing earnestness keep The Flash on track and running circles around many of the recent DC Universe movies. If this is the truly last stop on the Snyderverse express, then it’s a respectable way to go out.
-Joshua Yehl, IGN: 7.0 "good"
What it amounts to is a movie that spends all its time racing from one poorly-thought out story element to another, from one only modestly satisfying nostalgia shout-out to another, and with only questionable results. How fitting, yet how disappointing: “The Flash” has the runs.
-William Bibbiani, The Wrap
This is not a movie with any new ideas or dramatic rethinking, and – at the risk of re-opening the DC/Marvel sectarian wound – nothing to compare with the much-lauded animation experiment in the recent Spider-Man films. The intellect in this intellectual property is draining away.
-Peter Bradshaw, The Guardian: 2/5
The movie’s stronger underlying themes, like the importance of living in the present and learning to let things go, are overshadowed by the multiversal gymnastics. And as much good stuff as the "The Flash" features, including a nifty scene where Barry slo-mo saves a slew of falling babies in entertaining fashion, the film can't help but get tripped up by the same old hurdles.
-Brian Truitt, USA Today: 3/4
Maybe nerd culture was a mistake. The first and last 10 minutes demonstrate the winning superhero saga this might have been, but the middle two hours are devoted to sloppy, shameless fan service.
-Alonso Duralde, The Film Verdict
The hype is real. DC’s The Flash may not be the greatest comic book movie ever made, but it comes damn close. Easily the best in the genre since Spider-Man: No Way Home, this fresh, invigorating, and hugely entertaining summer treat is as good as it gets when it comes to cinematic takes on superheroes.
-Pete Hammond, Deadline
The Flash ends on a purposefully open note (and a pretty good joke), so that if the film succeeds at the box office, Miller's Barry can run again another day. If it doesn't, the precedent is set for a full continuity reset. Whatever DC movies await us in the future, let's hope they avoid multiverses. It's well-trod territory at this point, even for a speedster.
-Christian Holub, Entertainment Weekly: C+
Merging Looper and Looney Tunes makes for some jarring transitions between time-travel melodrama and power-mishap shenanigans. That’s never more clear than in the movie’s tail end, wherein Muschietti, who seems like a slick Spielberg-acolyte crowdpleaser in the J.J. Abrams mode, struggles with whether The Flash is an emotional cautionary tale, a universe-resetting franchise play, or just a zany sci-fi farce, subject to channel-flipping multiverse gags. You can feel The Flash wishing it could steal a glimpse into the audience and revise itself on the fly accordingly; no wonder early screenings apparently hedged on an ending until the last possible minute. Fandom has created a culture where a fun, zippy movie can’t stop looking back over its shoulder.
-Jesse Hassenger, Paste: 7.0
While I have a few complaints and there are a couple of head-scratching loose ends, "The Flash" is still a funny, emotional, action-heavy crowd-pleaser that ranks among the best DC movies ever made.
-Ben Pearson, /FILM: 7.5
Oddly, The Flash being so brilliant actually gives DC a bit of a headache. The studio’s new head honcho, James Gunn, is currently planning a much-publicised reboot of its comic book movie universe that may not include the Scarlet Speedster. Throw in Miller’s even more publicised personal problems and a poorly received film could have provided the perfect opportunity to have him (and the bad press) jog off into the sunset. Given the critical buzz and potential box office bump, that looks unlikely now. The Flash’s future is starting to look a lot sparkier than his past.
-Alex Flood, NME: 4/5
This feels like the definitive Flash movie.
-Mike Ryan, Uproxx
This much-beleagured cinematic universe has finally hit upon a winning film, and one that will be forever tainted. It’s not the most tragic thing regarding the person whirling at the center of it all — not by a long shot. But it is a reminder that you can make a superhero movie that seeks to unite all worlds but can’t quite reckon with the one outside the theater. And it’s proof that you can always run as fast as your superhuman intellectual property can manage, but there are things that you simply aren’t able to hide.
-David Fear, Rolling Stone
The Flash clearly wants its audience to get caught up in the excitement of multiverse adventures, returning superhero favorites, and fun antics of Barry Allen, to the point that they never consider that the time travel aspects make absolutely no sense, and only hurts the larger story in the way that it’s handled here. Thankfully, those antics are enjoyable and hard not to get excited about, but unfortunately, this isn’t a story that holds together on a narrative level. Cameos and fan service are fine to have, but the story has to be there to back them up, and it’s not quite there with The Flash.
-Ross Bonaime, Collider: C+
One of the most spectacular and frustrating mixed bags of the superhero blockbuster era, "The Flash" is simultaneously thoughtful and clueless, challenging and pandering. It features some of the best digital FX work I've seen and some of the worst. Like its sincere but often hapless hero, it keeps exceeding every expectation we might have for its competence only to instantly face-plant into the nearest wall.
-Matt Zoller Seitz, RogerEbert.com: 2.5/4
Even despite being saddled with the baggage of the DCU’s failures, that the story that works in The Flash manages to shine through the noise is no small feat. The bitter irony, of course, is that even its artistic victories are tempered by the film being released in the shadow of Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, and Justin K. Thompson’s Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, which hits nearly every story beat and big swing for nostalgia attempted here, but with exponentially more finesse, grace, and emotional power. Nothing Batman or Supergirl do in The Flash to save the world is more effective than what Barry does to save it with a hug and a can of tomatoes.
-Justin Clark, Slant: 2.5/4
Considering how “The Flash” makes many of its characters face death and inevitability throughout, “The Flash” should not feel as hollow as it does. But you can’t blame Barry for it. He’s just a high-energy tour guide here, as everything around him becomes a blur leading us to the next reference. It has taken so long for a feature-length “The Flash” to finally hit theaters, and he’s too late. Barry is barely the lead character of his own movie.
-Nick Allen, The Playlist: C
It’s clear that DC doesn’t really know what it’s paying tribute to, other than the knowledge that other comic book movies exist. The Flash, much like Barry himself, has been stranded with no real sense of history, and no real sense of the future, either. It does the best it can.
-Clarisse Loughrey, The Independent: 3/5

2023.06.06 19:45 WenMunSun Travelling in the overworld feels clunky, sluggish and annoying.

I'm not a "no-lifer", i haven't finished the game yet - not even close. My highest character is 41 and i've done most of the story quest (started in early release).
These are some of the reasons i've found it difficult (mildy annoying) to play through the game so far.

  1. Overworld is designed like swiss-cheese. Where the hole/negative space are impassable terrain, environmental features, objects (ridges, cliffs, slight changes in elevation, collections of trees, rocks, and unbreakable objects like huts, fences, etc). In some zones, like that red part of Scosglen where you find the Druid pinned to the tree - there may be more negative space than positive space.
  2. There are too many of these, moslty small, unbreakable objects. As a result it's hard to move in a straight line for more than second without having to adjust your direction of travel. It's annoying to constantly have to change your characters direction just to navigate around objects blocking your path.
  3. As a result, this forces me to glance at the minimap every couple of seconds. Why? Because the minimap has more visual clarity. It's quicker and easier to distuingish the terrain i can walk on from the terrain i can't using the minimap than looking at the game. But you obviously can't navigate looking at the minimap exclusively, which causes me to constantly switch back and forth between my character and the minimap - something i find mildly annoying. (*As a side note, i find it bizzarre that the minimap doesn't have a directional indicator for the MSQ objectives that i can follow to know i'm travelling in the right direction. Instead i have to look at the full screen map to locate my next quest location. This is a common QOL feature in MMOS/ARPGS that should have been implemented yesterday.)
  4. Normally this wouldn't be a big deal when the world is filled with monsters and you actually spend time in the overworld engaging with said monsters. But in D4, most of the time spent in the overworld (with the exception of Helltides?) is traveling to and from waypoints, dungeons, lillith statues, or quest locations.
  5. Much of the overworld consists of very narrow winding roads. Look at the area between Menestad and Firebreak Manor for example. Traveling through these areas is annoying. It's like driving on a one-way street. There's minimal room to manouevre. You feel very confined, cramped. There's no wiggle room. To travel you have to stay in the center and as a result your mouse/cursor placement needs to be relatively precise. And because the roads are winding you need to constantly move your cursor to stay on the road otehrwise you will run your character into a wall or impassable object.
  6. To make matters worse, while you're on the horse you move faster based on the distance your mouse is from your character. The problem with this is, the further your mouse is from your character the slower you're able to respond to the environment. By having your mouse closer to your character you're much more agile because you can change directions much quicker. When you try to change directions from further away your characters direction and movements will be much less precise because the angle of change will be larger. I'm not sure how best to explain this but i think it's pretty obvious when you actually play with it, it's basic geometry. Anyone who's played MOBAs knows what i'm talking about. When you're moving you're character you don't want to click far away from you, you want click close to your character because it gives you more control. The horse has other problems like the boost which is annoying to be forced to spam every couple of seconds. Or getting caught on terrain which is (imo) a result of many of the points i made above.
  7. The deisgn of Kyovashad and many towns is frustrating. Other players have commented on this, that it's annoying to have the blacksmith, aspect crafter, and storage in three seperate areas and on opposite sides of the map. A map which is itself badly designed (in terms of civil engineering). I agree with this sentiment. It's a minor annoyance, to be fair, but one of many minor annoyances that all add up together. Now, i've seen some comments on here saying it has to be like this because it's "art" and "aesthetics" or some other horse-shit. In my opinion, neither of these are incompatible. You can have world building, aesthetics, art, etc AND also have decently designed towns that don't require you to zig-zag from point A to point B constantly. There's a reason the real world is designed the way it is, with business districts, restauarant districts, shopping centres (eg malls), using centralized planning and grids. It's more efficient, and convenient for the people living in these areas and using these things. And the same is true of people in virtual reality/video games. It's more convenient, it saves time, it reduces friction and frustration, and just makes the game and experience more enjoyable. You can have both.
  8. And why can't we use the horse boost in towns? We're being trained to constantly spam the boost hotkey while outside of town and then when we're in town it doesn't work. I just don't understand the decision here. Why is boosting in town disabled? Is it going to break the game somehow?
  9. Hidden/discoverable map and Lillith statues. It's annoying that the map and statues are hidden/undiscovered on your second, third, fourth characters, etc. I'm not sure what the idea is behind this in 2023. I mean... i guess maybe it adds to the "immersion experience" for anyone who doesn't know that the full world map, and the locations of everything (statues, dungeons, etc) has already been datamined and recreated on a third party site. But realistically, most players are going to be using a third party map to locate the Lillith statues, so what's the point of hiding them in the first place? There's nothing to "find". Does Blizzard/D4 team think that forcing players to Google "D4 Lillith statues map" somehow adds to the game experience? Nevermind the fact that it's just busy work which i think most players find annoying to be forced to do (again and again, season after season).
  10. On the plus side i actually think dungeon design is fine.
  11. Unfortunately i don't think there's a real solution for these problems. Aside from the horse whose speed could (and imo should) simply be adjusted higher and have the boost ability removed entirely. The rest of these "problems" (if you want to call them that) are part of the fundamental design of the game so fixing them would require a FFXIV-like cataclysmic event giving them the ability to effectively re-design the whole map.
  12. Lastly, before i get a bunch of "casual players" telling me to shut up and i don't know what i'm talking about etc, i want to be clear where my perspective is coming from. I understand that most casuals will probably take several months to play through this game. Casuals will play on softcore, maybe even the permanent servers, and once they've got to level 100 most of them will move on the next ultra-hyped AAA game release. They probably wont touch Diablo 4 again until the next expansion pack.
But Blizzard have made it clear that they want players to play Diablo 4 seasonally. Four times a year. They want players to login every few months and spend weeks starting over, completing the MSQ, grinding renown, again and again. But to do that, to attract that kind of playerbase that will start fresh every few months, the game needs to be frictionless. And that's where my criticism is coming from. As someone whos spent thousands of hours in Path of Exile over more than 6 years, one of the big reasons i could do that wasn't just the new content or build diversity - but the fact that starting over didn't feel too bad. Navigating through the game didn't feel bad. But with D4's systems in their current state i can't see myself coming back season after season unless Blizzard fixes alot of these issues (or buffs Fire Hydra Sorc idk).
Edit: To be clear the point of this post was to share some of my criticisms related to the overworld and travelling in it. I do have other criticisms about the game, such as the unskippable parts of the MSQ.
Another point i forgot to mention in the initial post:
  1. The pickup radius of materials should be equally as large if not larger than the click radius of those objects. I find it annoying whenever i have to move even closer to pick up the minerals/flowers from the ground than i was when i was able to click on the object that drops them. If you can click on a gatherable object and release the items, you should be able to pick up the materials from where you are. This is again, just another mild inconvenience that (imo) would remove some small amount of friction from the game if it were changed.

2023.06.06 19:36 RowBowBooty Someone keeps airdropping me photos of myself.

My nightmare started when I woke up on a park bench in Omaha, Nebraska. My original travel plans were much more adventurous, but most of the vacation fund dried up after the company’s CFO found me in his car…with his wife. Turns out she wanted to get caught, to make him jealous or something.
That is how, for reasons not totally beyond my control, I ended up summering in Omaha instead of Oahu. But hey, at least they have great fried pickles. I spent most of my time their napping, and that was what brought me to the park bench.
I woke up to a bird on my shoe. He was pecking away at the residual crumbs of what may or may not have been fried pickles.
“Hey little guy,” I said, smiling down at my visitor. He wasn’t a bird of paradise, but at least he liked me. Then the crumbs ran out, and he didn’t like me so much anymore. “Fuck you, too!” I shouted as he flew away, off to go play with some other man’s heart no doubt. Just as I was about to settle back in to my midday nap, I felt my phone buzz.
Finally, I thought. Someone to talk to. I was getting sick of just swiping through my home screen pages every time I wanted to look busy, but when I pulled my iPhone out, I found something even more surprisingly than a text from a friend or loved one. It was an airdrop:

I looked around. There were people near me, but most of them weren’t young enough to know how to airdrop something, and no one was using their phone. I accepted.
“What the hellll?” I let out before a chuckle. The first picture was of me, slumped over on the park bench, sleeping with my mouth open. I was instantly filled with embarrassment and wonder. On the one hand, it’s pretty depressing to see yourself sleeping in an unflattering position and I had a triple chin thing going in the photo. On the other hand, I couldn’t deny that it was pretty funny.
I looked up, hoping to catch someone giggling or at least staring in my direction, but I couldn’t see anyone who gave the slightest indication that it was them. In fact, by the time I looked up, I was alone.
Weird.
The second picture wasn’t funny at all. It was all black, with a bunch of characters in what looked like Mandarin or some other Eastern language drawn on with the digital marker. A message from the sender. But I couldn’t read whatever language it was, and I didn’t know how I would go about translating it, seeing as I couldn’t just copy and paste the text, so I chose to just ignore the message, telling myself I would go to the trouble of translating it later. God, do I wish I wasn’t such a procrastinator.
The sun was setting so I stood up, took one last glance around for any hidden airdroppers, and walked back to my motel.
Later that night, I found myself hopelessly scrolling through Tinder. I realized long ago that dating apps can tell you a lot about the place you’re visiting, and I considered it part of my cultural experience to judge strangers behind a screen in my pajamas. Mostly I would just swipe my way through and laugh at the weird corn people without even considering a meet up, but every once in a while I would swipe right if I felt something. I never imagined that I would get anywhere.
Then I got another notification, and this time from someone I actually wanted to talk to. It was a girl (who looked waay out of my league) named Cristina.
“Hey, Greg. If you were on a lifeboat with me, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and the Queen (who was already dead at this point), who would you eat first?” I stared at her message. It was kind of quirky, but I liked it so I texted back.
“Obviously you, because I need the Rock to do all the rowing, the Queen is dead, and you’re quite the snack…” I smiled, proud of my work. The CFO’s wife didn’t know what she walked out on. Luckily, Cristina liked my reply as much as I did, and we struck up a nice conversation that had me copying the address to a local karaoke bar into my phone an hour later. It was only then that I began to regret my choice in vacation attire, and noticed that the bird had shat on my loafers. I ironed the only Polo I brought, threw on my sneakers and sped out.
On the way I stopped to fill up at a Chevron and went in to grab some mints (I thought about buying some banana sleeves, but that seemed a little too boastful.) When I went to pay, I dropped some change out of my wallet. Shit. The cashier, some kind of wannabe cowboy like everyone else in that city, smirked. I took a penny from the little plastic dish out of spite before leaving the store. While I was in my car, my phone buzzed. I snatched it up with excitement, assuming it was Cristina, but saw a different yet familiar name.

What the fuck? I looked around at the cars in the lot. Two others were filling up, and about four more were parked in front of the convenience store. I wondered whether someone inside the store would still be close enough to airdrop. Cautiously, I accepted.
The photo was of me bending over to pick up the change I had spilt, taken from the parking lot. I stared at it for a little while. It was funny and embarrassing just like the first one, my butt crack was even showing a little, but for some reason this photo made me uneasy. Is someone following me? I wondered. Had some influencer punk started a one-man hidden camera show where he just waited for you to do something embarrassing? I stared at the other cars.. Some of the windows were too tinted to see in. After a minute or two, I rolled out of there and drove off.
At the bar, I was relieved and elated to find that Cristina looked as good, nay, better than she did in her photos. “Wow,” I stuttered. “You’re beautiful.” She also said the same about me, which I chalked up to having ironed the polo. Things were off to a good start.
Throughout the date, Cristina was bubbly and adorable. She told me all about her life in rural Nebraska and what brought her to the “big city”, but I couldn’t pay attention to any of it. I really wish I could have, but I just couldn’t get those damn airdropped photos out of my head.
Cristina left to go to the bathroom, and I took the opportunity to look around the bar, scanning the room for any familiar faces. Everyone looked engrossed in their own evenings and dates and cringy singing, but I couldn’t shake the feeling that I was being watched.
“Hey, your profile says you really like to sing,” Cristina began with a smile. That was a fast bathroom break. “But you never said what type of music!” I stared at her, still a bit lost in thought, and it took a couple seconds to register what she was saying.
“Oh, well I like simple boring things, really. Commercial jingles, recycling PSA’s, communist propaganda, that kind of stuff.” Cristina smiled.
“You’re…you’re not a communist, right?”
“Of course not!” I laughed. “Let’s go sing something,” I got up from our table and offered her my hand.
“Good, because my parents always said that if I moved to the big city I’d end up marrying a commie, and I hate to prove them right about anything.” She giggled.
“Hey, baby, I’m so capitalist I changed my birthplace to the Cayman islands.” Cristina giggled even more. Damn were we getting along well. I got up onto the little square stage they had for karaoke singers and looked out at the crowd. Then I got a notification. You can probably already guess how it read.

I looked out across the room, dumb founded that ANONYMOUS had followed me here. I thought about showing Cristina but decided it would just worry her, and, even worse, prove her parents were right about the “big city”. I accepted the photo and startled backwards. My phone nearly fell to the floor. It was a photo of me at the bar, but not up on stage where it would have been easy for anyone to sneak a photo. It was from before, at our table, when I had turned to check out the other people. The worst part was that I was looking right at the mutherfucking camera!
My hand trembled. I tried to calm down. For some reason I didn’t want whoever sent the photo to know I was nervous. And I did NOT want Cristina to think that I was scared to sing Ring of Fire in front of a couple dozen famer hicks. But it was obvious from this picture that the photos weren’t just to be funny. This time, I wasn’t making any faces and my ass wasn’t showing. My face in the photo was one of concern.
How did I look right at the camera without realizing it? It struck me that the person sending these photos was going to extra lengths to remain hidden, maybe even as far as to camouflage themselves. They could be anyone, anywhere, with any sort of goal in mind. I shuttered.
The music started up and Cristina began to sing. I whipped around and looked at her. She was smiling, oblivious to the whole thing. And she looked happy. I didn’t want to spoil this moment, which was probably the only truly fun one of my vacation and the first time in a while that I was feeling some self-confidence. I began interchanging lines with her.
“I went down, down, down and the flames went higher.” I baritoned into the mic. She winked at me. I made it through the song and asked her to get the hell out of there, to which she excitedly said yes.
On the way back to my place, I thought about telling her about the photos but didn’t want to kill the mood. Still, I couldn’t help but look through the windows of every car that we passed.
I checked the rear view mirror for the umpteenth time, and a blue pickup truck was tailing close behind us. I made a right turn, then another, and the truck stayed close behind. After a while I made two more right turns and the headlights disappeared from my rearview mirror. Phew.
“What are you doing?” Cristina asked.
“Huh?”
“You just made four right turns. You went in a circle.”
“Oh, yeah haha. I was hoping you wouldn’t notice, I wanted to be smooth. Just made a wrong turn back there.” Cristina nodded and reached out for my hand. I checked the rearview mirror. More headlights. Another pickup.
When we rolled into the parking lot of the motel, the truck behind us continued down the road, and I noticed it was red. I felt relieved until I pulled into my parking spot and hopped out of the car. Behind us to the right, the same blue truck from before was parked. Shit, he must have taken a quicker way over here.
How did he know where I was staying?
I put my arm over Cristina’s shoulder and rushed her into my room.
After the deed was done, Cristina promptly fell asleep (which I hoped was the sign of a job well done) and I decided to go for a walk in the parking lot. I wanted to figure out what the fuck was going on, but I didn’t want to call the police before there were any real threats or anything.
So, like every dumbass horror film victim, I went alone into the dark to investigate. I stepped out into the dark motel parking lot and eyed the truck sitting across the lot. Its headlights and grill formed an angry face that stared at me. I felt like it could read my thoughts. Leave, it said to me. Get out of here, you’ll only get into trouble. The headlight eyes bore into my brain. Don’t be dumb and you won’t get hurt-
A loud BANG came from behind me. I spun around to see a dark figure turn the corner and disappear around the back of the motel. My heart started to pound, urging me to move my legs in either a flight or fight direction.
I sprinted off towards the figure, and in moments I was turning the corner. Behind the motel, there were only tall thin trees and a formidable darkness that shielded whatever had run away from me. I paused, searching through the trees for my stalker. I squinted but couldn’t quite make anything out in the dark.
Then I heard something. Behind me. Something was...coughing.
Slowly, with my eyes first, I turned around and what I saw made my heart flutter. The sounds were coming from a dumpster, the kind usually left behind restaurants or apartment complexes that can only be moved by big semi garbage trucks. From within the dark dumpster, the head of a terrible beast with a black mask rose up. Its mouth, full of razor sharp, enamel covered fangs, clamped down onto a chicken bone with a hiss. It was a raccoon.
I laughed. There was so much pent up adrenaline in my body that I couldn’t help but convulse with the giggles. Soon tears were spilling out of my eyes and I had to lean on my knees to keep from passing out.
“You scared the shit out of me,” I told the raccoon, and it scampered off into the shadows. I remained there until my laughter subsided, and when it was gone I decided to stay a little while longer. It was a beautiful spot. Nebraska wasn’t that bad when you got to know it.
After a few more minutes spent collecting my thoughts and calming my nerves, I went back around the bend of my motel. I strode with new confidence towards my room, but still couldn’t resist looking over my shoulder at the blue truck in the parking lot. Is there someone in the driver’s seat? I didn’t want to be paranoid, but there was no way to deny that I felt like eyes were burning into my back. I walked more quickly until I reached my door, unlocked it and slipped inside.
Acting quickly, I shut the door behind me and put in the chain lock. I felt safer in my room. That is, until I lied back down onto the bed next to Cristina.
The instant my sweaty ass made contact with the crusty bed sheets, I got a notification. A lump formed in my throat and I grabbed my phone, but paused and said a silent prayer that it would just be a message of support from my mom, or a campaign donation request, or any other useless shit besides an airdrop before checking it. But I knew what it was, and looking at the screen only confirmed it.

I gasped for oxygen. The humid air around me suddenly felt too thick to breath. I accepted the air drop and the video downloaded. It showed the door of my motel room. As I stared at the still frame, a new sense of anger rose up within me. Who the fuck was this Anonymous guy, anyway? Did he think he was scaring me? I mean, was he hoping that after seeing a few photos of myself I would send him my bank information? It was pathetic. I decided that I had done enough cowering and whimpering. I didn’t even play the video, but went to frantically jotting down a strongly worded letter in my Notes app threatening to call the police if he didn’t stop stalking me and at least tell me what he wanted. I signed off by writing;
Wishing you the best,
Pissed off Guy
I took a screenshot. “Pissed off guy” wasn’t my best work, creatively speaking, but I couldn’t think of any better names. I was too pissed off.
I opened the airdrop recipients in the vicinity. Despite my newfound courage, I trembled as the airdrop recipients in my area registered on my phone. For some reason, I was afraid that ANONYMOUS would pop up. Proving he was at the motel would make the situation feel more…real. Up until that point, all he had done was send me some pictures. If I sent something back to him, would he get more…aggressive?
I stared at the screen, my heart beating faster than a Browning automatic could shoot hollow-point bullets into a cheap motel room. One named appeared: ANONYMOUS’s iPhone. I swallowed a heavy breath. Was the air getting thicker? Slugs of sweat rolled down my face. I exhaled and sent my note to ANONYMOUS.
Shit, I thought to myself. What am I doing? I wanted to unsend it. For some reason this suddenly felt like the dumbest thing I’d ever done. I watched my screen intently. The tension was so high my heart almost sprung a leak, and I was afraid my bladder just might. Thankfully, it didn’t take very long to get a response.
ANONYMOUS would like to share some photos.
Decline Accept
I hit “accept” the instant I got his request.
It was a collection of photos. All the same photos he had sent me before. My blood boiled, and my face heated up. I work up the courage to talk to him and he just ignores me? I was starting to grow less concerned and more irritated by Anonymous’s antics, but then I noticed something.
The first picture of the most recent airdrop, the one where I’m asleep on a park bench and sporting a triple chin, had a red circle on it. The kind that you draw on a picture when you want to draw attention to something, except there didn’t seem to be anything particular inside the circle. I zoomed in, and my heart dropped into my stomach. Far off in the background, in the middle of the circle, was a man’s face hidden between the bushes.
He was wearing a dark hoodie that cast a shadow over his face, but zoomed in I could make out the details. He was bald, and most of his features were normal and indistinct, but his lips were curled up into an enormous hungry smile, with too many crooked yellow teeth crammed into his mouth for him to be a normal human.
His nostrils were flared, like he was breathing heavily. It gave the impression that he was almost lusting after me, like a beast stalking its prey. My blood pressure fell through the floor as I realized that he was looking straight at me. His ravenous chops wet with saliva, itching to sink his teeth into my plump, dormant flesh.
I nervously swiped to the next photo. Me in the gas station bending over to pick up my change. There was a red circle around someone standing a few yards behind me in line. It was the same man. He stared at me intently with eyes that were opened impossibly wide, and drool dripping from the corner of his mouth.
I nearly threw my phone in shock. He had been so close to me, and yet I didn’t remember seeing him. If you weren’t paying close attention, it would be easy to miss his inhuman features. I had probably been too distracted and embarrassment at having dropped my change on the floor to notice him. Damn my social anxiety.
The next photo was from the karaoke bar, the one where I was looking directly into the camera. Seeing me stare directly at the photographer without recognizing him or her made me queasy the first time I saw it, but now I was more worried about what was in the background. There was another red circle, in the dark hallway that led to the bathroom behind the bar to the left, but it was too dark to see anything in the shadows. I zoomed in and turned the brightness all the way up, and then I could just make out one thing.
A crooked, yellowed smile pointed in my direction.
Whoever or whatever he was, he had followed me for the whole day.
The last photo was all black except for something Anonymous had written, also in red. It said:
I AM NOT STALKER.
Goosebumps popped up behind my neck and down my shoulders. That’s when I remembered the video of me walking back to the motel room, the one I hadn’t watched.
With shaky fingers I opened the video. It was centered on the door of my motel room. For the first few seconds nothing happened. I thoroughly scanned the backgrounds and corners, making sure to search extra hard in the shadowy areas, but I couldn’t see the man anywhere.
Then he walked into center frame. This time he wasn’t hidden. He crept towards the door, his arms remaining eerily immobile as he walked, and when he got to the door, pulled a key card out and slipped inside. I gasped. When was this recorded?
That question was answered for me when a moment later I walked into frame, unlocked the door, and went in. It was from when I came back after finding the raccoon in the dumpster, less than two minutes ago.
I shivered. Suddenly, it was dawning on me that Cristina’s breathing sounded…different. It was just a little heavier and deeper than I remembered it being. Very slowly, I turned my head to look over at the other side of the bed and noticed that the lump under the covers seemed larger than it had before. I felt the air; it was thicker and wetter than I remembered it being and had a warm, almost metallic smell.
The body lying next to me wasn’t Cristina’s. I froze. What do I do? Dear God, what should I do now? Slowly, I sat up and pulled my legs over the side of the bed. I thought about turning the lights on, shouting for Cristina, trying to fight the stalker, but I had the gut feeling that she was beyond saving. Even if she was still alive, there was no way I could last more than a few seconds against this thing in bed with me. Whatever it was, it was built for hunting down humans and tearing them apart.
I casually mumbled “better take a shower” and crept over to the hall. Luckily the bathroom was right next to the front door.
Once I got in front of the bathroom door, I silently lunged for the front door, turned the lock as quietly as I could and tried to open it without making a sound. CLANG.
I stared in horror at the chain lock I had set when I came in. Idiot! I heard a rustle from the bed. The time for stealth was gone.
I yanked the chain out and swung the door open. In less than a second I was outside closing the door behind me and then bounding towards my car. I turned it on and peeled out without even checking to see whether my visitor had followed me.
I sped away from the motel towards the city and dialed 911.
At the police station, I waited for the cops to check out my room. When they came back, they asked to talk with me. I was led into the interrogation room, and they started to hit me with some accusatory questions. They said her body was ripped into pieces and strewn across the room, everywhere except the bed. Imagining myself in that room, totally oblivious to Cristina’s organs and tissue around me made me sick.
It soon became obvious that the police believed I killed her. I tried to convince them that there was someone else in my room, and told them there was video proof on my phone. I showed them the video that ANONYMOUS had sent me. They were intrigued, but still skeptical.
I was starting to get nervous that I wouldn’t return from my lame ass vacation for 10-30 years when something amazing happened.
Still in the officer’s hand, my phone got a notification.
ANONYMOUS would like to share a video.
Decline Accept
“That’s him, that’s the guy who’s been airdropping me stuff!” I said frantically. The officer raised an eyebrow. He hesitated, looked around, and after an agonizing pause accepted the video. They hid the screen from my face, but from his expression I could tell the video was something violent. All I could hear was an animal-like growl, heavy panting and a guttural human yell.
It wasn’t until after being cleared to leave and given my phone back that I watched the video. ANONYMOUS had filmed me leaving the parking lot of the motel, and then gone into the room and turned the lights on. The ‘thing’ was standing in the middle of the room, only a few feet from the camera. It stared at the camera and gave it a slow wave. Its slender fingers seemed to pulse with excitement, and the creature wiggled them elatedly. It smiled and its lips peeled back to reveal blood soaked teeth.
The room was covered in blood and body parts. There were intestines hanging off the lamp, what looked like a half-eaten liver soaking the office chair, teeth laid on the t.v. stand close enough to the camera to see that they were neat and white. I pictured him sucking them clean like cherry pits.
The most disturbing part of all was a big piece of skin that had been ripped off like a sheet and laid on the bed post by my side of the bed. In the middle of the skin was what looked like a belly button. I had been lying with my head right underneath Cristina’s drying stomach leather and never had a clue.
After the camera panned around the room, it focused back on the man. He stood there for a moment, his chest rising and falling rapidly, eyes wide and hungry. Then he took a lighting quick stride forward, and the camera turned toward the door. That is where the video ends. Watching it made me fear for ANONYMOUS’s safety, but I knew that he at least made it out healthy enough to make it to the police station.
Sometimes, when I’m alone and get the feeling I’m being watched, I open my airdrop options to see if ANONYMOUS is somewhere near me. I haven’t ever found him.
Earlier this morning while on the subway, I looked up and had a heart stopping shock. I was sitting at the end of one car and just happened to look through the window into the car behind us. There he was; the same creature that killed Cristina. The doors were still open and I almost took off running but… he wasn’t looking at me.
He was staring intently and smiling at a woman on the opposite row. Every few seconds he would lick his lips hungrily. I shuddered looking at his teeth because I couldn’t help but imagine them cutting into Cristina’s flesh, piercing through her skull and ripping her teeth out of their gums down to the root.
His prey had headphones in and was flipping through a magazine, totally oblivious to the terrible monster sitting just a few yards away from her. I took a picture through the foggy glass.
You can’t see the creature very well in the photo. But I can always circle him. Maybe she’ll have to zoom in, and she just might need to turn her brightness up all the way, but I’ll make sure she gets the message. I have no idea how to get the photo to her without drawing the attention of the creature, but I’ll figure it out. We’ll both figure it out. Wish us luck.

2023.06.06 19:26 dark-jester Any SouthPark bike commuters??

I have lived in Steele Creek for about 7 years (near the Rivergate area). If you know that location, u know there is no way to avoid S Tryon if you work uptown. That commute is 1.5 hrs for me and I am not always in the mood to cycle for that long. Anyway I’m planning to move to the Southpark area and curious what routes you all use to commute to uptown? Let’s say starting around the South Park mall. Should I take Park Rd until I reach the Park Rd shopping center then use the greenways from there? Or can I avoid Park Rd altogether?
