2023.06.09 11:04 RudeSize4303 5 Features to Look for in a Homestay in Coonoor
If you’re planning a trip to Coonoor, a quaint hill station in the Nilgiris, you should consider staying in a homestay. Homestays are a popular choice among travellers who want to experience the best of local life and culture. But with so many options available, how do you choose the best homestay in Coonoor? Well, here are five features to look for:
- Location: When looking for a homestay, the first thing to consider is the location. Ideally, when you’re looking for a homestay in Coonoor, choose one that is a picturesque location, away from the hustle and bustle of the town. If you’re a nature lover, choose a homestay surrounded by lush greenery, tea plantations, and the best that nature has to offer.
- Amenities: When it comes to choosing the best homestay in Coonoor, look for one that offers all the amenities that will make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. If you have specific needs or you want specific amenities, make sure to look for those as well. Some of the essential amenities that you should look for are comfortable beds, clean and hygienic bathrooms, hot water supply, Wi-Fi, and a well-equipped kitchen. However, if you find a homestay that offers additional facilities, such as a swimming pool, garden, or play center for the kids is a bonus for you and your family.
- Local Cuisine: One of the biggest advantages of staying in a homestay is the opportunity to savour the local cuisine whenever you want. Look for a homestay that serves authentic, home-cooked meals made with fresh, local ingredients. You can also look for homestays that offer cooking classes or some hosts may even let you help with meal preparation, which can be a great way to learn about local food and culture.
- Activities: If you’re into having fun, and you enjoy activities, look for a homestay that offers a range of activities to make your stay more engaging and memorable. Some of the popular activities that you can enjoy in Coonoor include trekking, birdwatching, and tea estate tours. You can also visit nearby attractions, such as the Sim’s Park or the Dolphin’s Nose viewpoint. Alternatively, look for homestays that can help you partake in these activities or have contacts with local tour agencies.
- Good Hosts: Finding the right hosts can really make your experience. Look for a homestay in Coonoor where the hosts are warm, friendly, and hospitable. They should be knowledgeable about the local area and its attractions and be able to provide you with tips and recommendations. If you want to make the best of your trip, look for osts that will consider you a part of the family.
A homestay in Coonoor can be an excellent choice for your next vacation, but it’s important to choose the right features. Look for a homestay that offers a serene location, essential amenities, local cuisine, engaging activities, and hospitable hosts to make your stay comfortable and memorable. By choosing the right homestay, you can experience the very best of Coonoor’s culture and life.

2023.06.09 11:00 AutoModerator Weekly Newcomer Questions, Support, Vents & Victories
As the community continues to grow and attract people who are just figuring this all out, we've decided to change the weekly thread focus to be more open and encourage newcomer questions and support. Please use this thread if you are seeking support or have newcomer questions. Want to see if your post topic has been discussed here? Type "subreddit:cptsd" after a search term in the search bar (ex. "friendships subreddit:cptsd"). Here are some common newcomer questions:
If you are new to
CPTSD: Please check out the rules below, and for our mobile users who can't access the sidebar, more resources are located below the rules. These can also be accessed from the auto mod message that greets any post.
Keep the rules in mind when you post & comment: - This is a peer support community. Be a supportive peer.
- Don’t ask for diagnosis, don’t diagnose others: Respect that you may not have all of OPs details and even a trained, trauma informed care provider cannot diagnose over the internet. So don't. Assume the context of OP as a CPTSD survivor or supportive partner of a CPTSD survivor.
- No hate speech
- Please be mindful about triggering content. Avoid graphic thread titles, and use [Trigger Warning], NSFW and/or the spoiler tag whenever appropriate.
- No RaisedByNarcissists lingo: A lot of folks come from the RBN support community. A lot of us do not. To keep the sub inclusive to CPTSD newcomers and survivors of different backgrounds, use common language synonyms for RBN acronyms. There are some exceptions.
- All content must be CPTSD related: Our lives, our struggles, and our victories with CPTSD.
- No Self-Promotion: Don't sell stuff or recruit for studies and projects without explicit mod approval. This thread is an exception; in the Vents & Victories thread, you may self-promote blogs, videos, and other media you created.
BIPOC We recognize that healing communities such as
CPTSD are not exempt from the insidious impacts of racism, whether overt or covert (for example, invalidating, minimizing, or microaggressive comments made by those with good intentions). In these cases, we encourage users to report the comments as Rule #3 violations. Because of the subreddit's high profile and open nature, this problem will continue to be with us, and we therefore can only promise a "safe-ish" environment for BIPOC. Racial trauma will always be on topic here at
/CPTSD, but BIPOC users that want a more closed space can make use of
/cptsd_bipoc.
Thank you to the mod team at /cptsd_bipoc for helping us write this verbiage. Additional Newcomer Resources submitted by

2023.06.09 10:58 kw5t45 I think I am in a dead end? help
So, i am new to the game, i beat the guy with 10 arms and Renalla, turns out i was strong enough lol. Now i must beat the draconic tree sentinel on the north of the map, so far i have done great progress.
There is one little problem: I have pirated the game. So, i cant use the fingers the guy with the mask gave me on rose church, and i cant go to the bird underground location to farm runes. So in order to get strong enough to beat the sentinel i surely have to level up a few times, and that will take a looot of runes. I have found great armour and my weight is something like 58/59, so if i want to roll fast and dodge attacks on bosses i have to level up.
So at this point, is my only solution to grind and gather runes? Also, i have read that the white mask guy is just an NPC quest and i can do the main quest without him. So yea, what do i do? Thanks in advance everyone.

2023.06.09 10:55 AutoModerator [Genkicourses.site] [Get] Chris Orzechowski – Badass Black Friday Bundle - Full Course Download
| ➡️ https://www.genkicourses.site/product/chris-orzechowski-badass-black-friday-bundle/⬅️ Get the course here: [Genkicourses.site] [Get] Chris Orzechowski – Badass Black Friday Bundle - Full Course Download What You Get: Course #1 Black Friday Bootcamp This is a short course I created for one of my e-commerce coaching groups. It outlines the high level strategy you need to use to MAXIMIZE sales for BFCM. I go over everything from how to map out your promo calendar… what emails to send when… exactly when you should START and FINISH your promo(s)… and, most importantly… … how to STAND OUT and grab attention in an overcrowded inbox, so you can break every sales record. Once you watch this mini-course, you’re going to be pumping out high-converting BFCM campaigns in no time! Course #2 Make It Rain Monthly BFCM/Q4 Planning Call This is a special “members-only” coaching call I recorded with a handful of my top students to help them prepare their clients’ brands for BFCM success. I even critique (and edit) a few of my students’ BFCM emails during this call. You can look over my shoulder and see how I think about constructing these email campaigns and sequences – super valuable! Course #3 Make It Rain Monthly Issue #8 The Black Friday / Cyber MondayMEGA Issue Part 1 - My “A-Z” roadmap for creating highly profitable Cyber Week email marketing campaigns.
- The FIRST email you should send in the month of November, to increase the sales you make from every email you send for the next six weeks (I actually wrote this email for you. You can swipe it verbatim. Just swap in some small details about your business, hit send, and watch the sales start rolling in.)
- How to map out a three-month promotional calendar in less than 60 minutes. (Plus, how to come up with the topics to send, on which days, to the right subscribers.)
- What to do (instead of just giving a discount or giving a bonus) that’ll incite a buying frenzy, generate word of mouth buzz, create raving fans, AND could possibly lead to record-breaking sales.
- A breakdown of a collection of BFCM emails, including some from a sequence that brought in six-figures in one week flat.
Course #4 Make It Rain Monthly Issue #9 The Black Friday / Cyber MondayMEGA Issue Part 2 - The “Magic Box” Method I used to free up 25 hours of creative time on my calendar, so I could get more work done in less time, with less stress… and more time to myself.
- The biggest mistake I made as I began growing my team… and how I fixed it so everyone could perform at a higher, more autonomous level.
- How to finally get clear on what you want in life… and how to go get it.
- Why trying to be a ‘cool boss’ might hurt your team more than help it.
- One psychological insight that’ll make selling to ‘people with money’ 10x easier. This works especially well if you’re selling a high-end product/high-ticket service.
- One software that can cut your weekly call volume down by 70% (or more).
- The “AC” email promotion that’ll send your Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales through the roof.
- How to scoop up TONS of sales from people who didn’t buy from your BF/CM campaign.
- Why giving a discount might actually HURT your sales and turn off a large percentage of your customers.
- When to use a discount vs other types of offers in your emails (they both work and can both be used strategically… but you’ve gotta do this right.)
- How to instantly induce an “I’ve gotta spend money with this brand” feeling in your customers… even if they weren’t planning on buying anything five minutes before seeing your email.
- A breakdown of a six-figure BF/CM email campaign (meaning: we actually ran this for one of my e-commerce clients and generated six-figures in sales with it).
- A two-word subject line you can use on Black Friday to stick out like a sore thumb and get your subscribers’ attention… even when everyone else is screaming about their sales.
- The one type of campaign you should run if you feel like offering discounts ‘cheapens’ your brand.
- How to adapt this campaign for OTHER holidays throughout the year (like Mother’s Day & Father’s Day). I even riffed off a quick email hook you can keep in your back pocket until spring.
Course #5 Make It Rain Monthly Issue #20 The Black Friday / Cyber Monday2021 Gameplan - The SMS Sign Up Sequence that helped us grow an SMS list by 1,000+ subscribers while generating $10,000+ in sales.
- How to make a TON of sales on Thanksgiving… without pissing off everyone on your list. (In fact, people will be giddy with anticipation if you do this promo right.)
- A psychological trigger you can use in your copy that makes your customers go crazy for your products.
- Why BFCM21 is going to look very different than years past… and the changes you should make to your strategy to stand out in the inbox (and make a ton of sales).
- How the smartest marketers and brand owners are adapting to iOS14 and iOS15 (and the big shift you need to make to thrive).
- Will SMS marketing replace or kill email? My surprising answer on page 3.
- How to dramatically increase your EHR (effective hourly rate)… so you can increase profits while working less.
- Insights from an SMS campaign I ran back in 2017 that worked incredibly well… and got people asking us to send them MORE texts (it’s a cool approach you can adapt for your own brand).
- How to write headlines and subject lines that trigger INSTANT curiosity… that suck your prospects in and DEMAND attention. (Try this with your landing pages and advertorial pages and watch your click-thrus SKYROCKET)
- The #1 copy mistake I see most copywriters and brand owners make with ALL of their emails, landing pages, ads, video scripts, and more.
- Fix this one thing and you’ll be amazed at how much better your copy reads and converts.
- How to get your customers to ‘think past the sale’ and get emotionally attached to your product… so they feel compelled to buy. (Sneaky… but powerful. And yes, totally ethical.)
- 6 SMS messages that ‘primed the pump’ for our sales pitches… while making our customers feel a rush of positive thoughts and emotions.
- The secret to writing tighter, pithier copy.
- 3 copy principles for high converting SMS messages.
- Two simple examples of an SMS list building campaign that you can whip up in a few minutes to start growing your list.
- The Ultimate “Trojan Horse” campaign to get your customers primed and ready to buy from you for BFCM.
- The Triple Threat BFCM campaign calendar you should try this Q4. (Could it triple your sales? Only one way to find out…)
- What almost EVERYONE gets wrong about Gary Vee’s jab-jab-jab-right hook approach to marketing… and why it might be the smartest tactic to use come this Q4 (and beyond).
- 5 more SMS list building examples that can get you a TON of new subscribers while making lots of “easy sales” in the process.
- How to use email to ‘scoop up’ buckets of new buyers… even the people who DON’T buy from you.
- Are you scared of emailing too often? Check out the tip on page 22 that’ll reduce your complaints and increase your sales.
- The four core campaigns EVERY brand should be running on a monthly basis… even if you’re not in e-com. (I use this with my own list and it works incredibly well.)
Course #6 Holiday Sale Super Sequence Want to scoop up even MORE sales during the holidays (without the hassle of figuring out your promo calendar)? This Holiday Sale Super Sequence is based on campaigns I still run for my agency clients that generate anywhere between $30-$50K — without fail. Comes with SIX email templates, a quick-start implementation video and super secret bonus. So if you want to generate massive sales easily every time there’s a holiday… then this training is going to help you make that happen. This sequence is PERFECT for BFCM… but you can even modify it to run other holiday sales throughout the year. Courses proof (screenshots for example, or 1 free sample video from the course) are available upon demand, simply Contact us here submitted by AutoModerator to Genkicourses_Com [link] [comments] |
2023.06.09 10:53 PlanetSpaceman How i would change the NCR story
This is a really over talked about topic, I mean there is no way any of this will ever be read as they dropped all planned future for the mod. however I still think ideas are useful in case one day people say "screw it, lets try and fix it". With my proposed "Ideas" nothing major is cut, all story beats are still hit just differently is all and also tie into other factions more.
Start of the mod
Instead of having Blackthorne consider the courier a asset first thing have him do the patrols till the courier is captured however the legion does not off the other two soldiers instead captures you and them, the add a new section "The slave camp" where the courier is captured along with the two other people on the bridge, after the courier wakes up have one of the soldiers get offed by a legion officer after the solider tried to assualt the officer, you and the other solider decide to try and find a way out of there or gain info on the legion, this will add the "slaves faction" where you can raise affinity with them to get items and info to help you out.
New slave faction
helping the slave you can learn they plan to move some slaves to another camp and it then becomes your goal to get on that transport to try and make a play to escape while in transport. with this you can also make it so you can form a bond with the other surviving solider( and even add a potential downside to getting idolized by the slaves because the legion ends up hearing you are making ways with the slaves and offs the other surviving solider as a sorta "example" or chose not to and with that have an impact on the story. so the ideal spot would be to have liked affinity and not idolized something i don't think the base game explored at all)
Regardless of what you do you end up on the transport (with the surviving solider if you are only liked by the slaves), while in transit you start to initiate your escape plan but just before you do whatever that plan is the transport car is hit and all hell breaks loose outside, after a short fire fight everything goes silent as you hear foot steps approach the door of the van and you see Someone from the Wolf pack. they have been sent out to intercept slave transports in the attempt to injure the legions production, at that moment another group of legion attacks you and the wolf pack where Hardcase can be shot by legion and dies, still having him die and the huge funeral is still shown OR you kept the surviving solider alive the solider will sacrifice themselves to stop the bullet saving Hardcase and changing the story. after the attack ends they bring you back to Blackthrone where you give him any intel you found on the legion (idk what intel im sure you can think of some)
Wolfpack
They have the funeral for the solider who sacrificed themselves and move on to the tank escort where you escort the tank with wolf pack instead because Blackthrone now sees you as somewhat of an asset to him and assigns you to wolf pack as a new member. in this patrol AJ is cut off after a RPG hits a building instead of the tank and AJ is presumed to be crushed by the building. you then move to the tank control mission where the mission plays out the same. However instead of the NCR knowing it was the enclave have it so the player is tasked with reconing in the area for any info on who attacked (make it seem like because this laser is so powerful they could easily wipe anyone off the map but chose the exiles not the main NCR so whoever shot it has to have done so from close by or within eye shot). You find a broken terminal and can repair it with parts, repair skill, or use a Wolf pack member to fix it, you find info on the lasers effectiveness and a location of potential outposts. That data then leads you to the exact same outpost we saw in the game already, you go in steal the data form a terminal and find out about the space station and that the group is Enclave.
Space station
skipping to the space station here, remove the wolfenstien rip off and rework the boss to be more about DPS on targets of interest and not moving actual objects, after doing enough damage the spaceship goes into emergency power unlocking the door to the system mainframe however you find out someone in the team got fatally wounded will die soon, then have the whole talk with the ship "AI" where you get the option to transport that persons brain and make them the ships "AI". Voss makes his escape after the boss fight you have with him, brining the C-finder with him like before but after chasing him down and him getting hit have the C-Finder get destroyed.
Legion base and C-finder
Back at base Blackthrone notes that some data that was downloaded from the station shows Voss had a base in a nearby vault(ties into the legion story now) you go the the vault after raiding maybe a vault tec office for its location, you then do the quest with the robots, but find no C-finder, on a terminal you find a transcribed audio log form a robot that the legion found the C-finder and brought it back to their base and the rest of the game plays out the same(maybe add a bit where if you are liked or idolized by the slaves they help you in the legion camp-a reward for doing side objectives in the slave camp), maybe make Rancor less obvious as a villain by giving him an officer uniform so he is clearlya high ranking officer and change his dialogue so he actively advocates for you so you bond and trust him. you return the C-finder to Blackthorne, after the whole bombardment of the base.
Rancor's "unexpected" betrayal
Blackthorne goes to a military base to talk to other NCR higher ups to show that they took out the legion and are a great asset the NCR could use. This is where Rancor betraysthe exiles and goes and launches the nuke like last time(same BOS momments to). You go to the site of the blast to find Blackthorne and the NCR officials alive in the nuclear bunker, you tell Blacktorne that Rancor is traitor, you get picked up by the pilot "surprise its Rancor!" he shoots Blackthore and you and kicks you off the verti bird, you barley survive do the same walk though the woods and depending on if Hardcase is alive you play it out the same or have you just stumble on the ranger outpost on your own (could do something with the animal friend perk or even wild waste land if you want to). you get picked up go to the giant floating airship do the same battle where depending on what you did with the NCR you can get people to side with you. Rancor is corned does the big "lmao C-finder go brr" thing and have the finally be the same "talk down, kill, or caravan game" thing.
Sorry for the long post but if you read it all your a god, and two tell me what you think, i think it fixes a few of the issues people had the story as a whole, but im no Modder and this mod is officially unsupported so

2023.06.09 10:45 wtfprajwal Renting Accommodation in Koramangala/ Indiranagar
My situation: I switched jobs 8 months back and due to my previous job I am living in Hebbal/Hennur Area . My new job is in JP Nagar and so far things have worked out because my manager doesn’t care if I come to office or not . But an acquisition is about to happen and from what I have heard the new guys don’t like work from home . They might force us to come to office and I have tried going once a week to office and it’s been hectic . Almost 3 hours wasted on travel and then I am too tired to do anything . I am planning to shift either to Koramangala(20 mins from office ) or Indiranagar (due to metro access ) . I am a single guy mostly planning to live alone in a 2bhk . I want to know if it’s worth shifting to Koramangala/Indiranagar given the high rents in these areas. I don’t want to end up paying high rent for a shitty apartment just for the location . Also if you any leads for apartments in these areas , please help me out .

2023.06.09 10:42 GnarlyAtol Division 2: open world existing game and Brooklyn DLC
Hey agents,
I am very happy that we get a new DLC with the new area Brooklyn, very happy :)
That brings me to the question what people want to see / want to have in a Division open world area, considering the never ending debate D1 vs D2. What are your thoughts about it?
When it comes to D1 vs D2 I read very often people preferring snow and argue that D1 has way better atmosphere. I like both, winter and summer setting but would agree that D1 has great atmosphere I am missing in D2.
Visual aspects In Division 1 I was flashed right away, when starting in Brooklyn Dumbo with the view on Manhattan Bridge, in D2 I was shocked when starting the game, felt to look at a much older and more fancy-like game, it felt more like Far Cry New Dawn from the overall visual impression. Despite I played the campaign 3 times I even have no clue what kind of location it was, looked a bit like a Kindergarden, it looked kitschy and cartoonish and that overall impression remained for me in the whole game with limited exemptions.
For me its, not the snow providing the postapocalypse feel in D1 which I dont feel at all in Division 2, except the darkzones to a certain extent and few missions/side mission areas. Multiple elements contributing to this overall impression:
- For a virus postapocalypse game the open world provides very limited signs of damages, violence and drama. In a lot areas where you can see dead bodies its orchestrated in kitschy ways, I never came across that in D1.
- That can not be changed of course: the visuals of the enemies, that’s more for a fancy game and not a postapocalypse game, mutant-like bosses, kitschy suiciders, tomahawk guys with a shield, killer lawn mowers, the kitschy solo guy who drops a pile of loot and multiple others
- It’s a small thing but I recognized that very often and it bothered me already early in my first campaign, the sheer amount of teddy bears. Have nothing against teddies of course but its pretty much exaggerated.
- Especially in New York I recognized a lot areas where it is pretty much overdone with pinky flowers, especially in base of operation Haven.
- No civilians in open world reduce the feel of realism dramatically (I know they are in settlements now but that’s probably because of technical reasons only, I assume its to complicated to have the open world activities plus civilians, in GTA, RDR2, D1 it works though, perhaps skipped because of time constraints?))
- Probably the overall looks of DC contributes to it, to many ugly uninspiring office and government building areas and the multiple useless sewers instead of tube and train tunnels, the more horizontal map design, in a lot open world areas strange settings I have no clue about what that should be providing rather boredom to me than the emotion I felt in D1 which is still ongoing.
- Its not open world but it contributes to the overall impression: the selection of mission areas and the looks of these. There is to much focus on tourist areas, multiple museums, Zoo, Coney Island … sure all visually well done but … . But there are some missions and side missions which fit well for me from visual perspective, especially Pentagon, the laboratory part of Space administration, the Detention Center of The Tombs, the old bunker at Navy Hill, the contaminated buildings, the darkzones, the underground area from a side mission in NY China Town (forgot the name) with a lot dead bodies and blood and few more but overall very limited.
Because they just damaged the White House and redesign the courtyard of the Castle I am thinking
perhaps they could make some simple tweaks to improve a bit the “atmosphere in D2”, eg. adding a burning fire here and there (the next day in other locations), civilians watching out of some windows (as in D1), adding some civilians here and there, reducing a bit the kitschy orchestrations here and there, in areas with a lot ugly buildings damaging some a bit.
Open world activities The open world activities itself are not orchestrated for a postapocalypse game, its pure blunt technical gameplay designed for loot and rewards. All these activities we have already multiple times in the very first area, the White House area, and that stuff is copied in all the other areas of DC and New York, that contributes pretty much to the overall fancy and kitschy impression. That’s something that cannot be improved anymore of course and also not in the DLC because it wouldn’t fit to the existing game, that would be something to consider for a potential Division 3 or another Ubisisoft apocalypse game 😊. I am sure Avatar will be like that but I hope for Star Wars.
For me the open world is the best part of the game, therefore I hope that they are adding some other more interesting activities to the open world, which make better use of the open world, activities requiring to search in open world, riddles and secrets that contribute to the story.
Regarding Brooklyn DLC: I hope that they make a more vertical map (like in NY but better), buildings with more accessible floors, more rooms and ways instead of one way only, the same for the mission design), tube and train tunnels instead of the copy and paste sewers, more buildings that can be accessed.
Secrets that contribute to the story (instead of shoot yellow box or padlocks for loot boxes or kitschy stuff like the Hydden Hotels)
Secret bosses are nice but the way to find them should be orchestrated in a more realistic and interesting way, instead of jumping jacks, shooting beehives and the like.
Civilians here and there.
The open world activities will be the same as we have that the DLC fits to the existing game, sure, but perhaps there is the chance to add some activities that are more in line with a postapocalypse agent shooter and providing appropriate feel.
In case they intend to make one are as a darkzone: DON’T make the same mistake and make this a binding PvEvP area!!! Make this optional. In case of an additional darkzone, make a part of Brooklyn as PvEvP option. I hate this map reduction for PvE players in D1 and D2. Use the same map for two options: 1 PvE, 2 PvEvP as in some other games. Let the people decide what they want to play and don’t force them into activities they don’t want to play by certain rewards or exclusive loot!
My questions to you: - What are your thoughts to improve the “atmosphere” of D2 a bit? What could be rather simple helpful tweaks?
- What are your wishes for Brooklyn DLC open world?
Best!

2023.06.09 10:42 VEGETTOROHAN Need tips to bring more enemies in landing.
I am a former Codm player. I found BGMI boring Because I don't find enough enemies to get BR experience so I played codm. When I argued with some BGmi players they told me to land On Hot Drop locations such as pochinki to have more intense combat and today I did so with a Random team but I only found 1 team and after that I waited for 10 whole minutes to get new enemies.
I know it's a survival game but I prefer constant flow of combat with enemies and I don't care about losing match if I get some kills just by landing. Even if I get 1 kill it doesn't matter as long as there are enough enemies to feel the adrenaline Rush that I experienced in Combat.
So give me tips to get more enemies. Even in Pochinki there was just 1 team.
The Ultimate Arena was better as it had some good players that killed me easily so I actually felt some challenge rather than just roaming around the Map.
I think having such a big map makes enemies scattered so I don't get enemies instantly.

It took me a whole day to get the controller to work with djay pro (subscribing to the monthly plan facilitated auto midi mapping).
But now the sound is only coming out of my iPhone speakers. In the sound settings, my only option for main output is speakers. Any idea how to change it to the flx4 soundcard outputs?

2023.06.09 10:36 NevaDeS Any single player CQC maps with AI that I can play ?
I recently purchased a copy of Arma 3 and played throught the tutorial and didn't touch it since due to university work. These days I got plenty of free time.
I'm really into those CQC single player, room clearing games like ready or not and swat 4.
I was wondering if Arma 3 had any of those community created maps with CQC indoor room clearing with AI opponents.
FYI I play on a laptop and I only own the base game of Arma 3 and don't plan on purchasing dlcs right now.
Thank you

2023.06.09 10:26 NameEman69 1997 dlc (scrapped)
So, I know what am about to say is so far fetched sounding but here me out. My godfather used to work at playground games during 2009-2017. And I asked him about this because for the past few days I’ve wondered what the hell the 97 expansion was. So I asked him and he told me it would have been an entirely weird thing.
(Expansion explanation) You would have played as Dak being a driver for horizon. It still would have been in Colorado, but with very key changes.
(Change’s) It would have featured a map the exact same except:
The Horizon festival would have been nothing more than a few carnival rides a garage and a small stage similar to wood stock (god fathers words not mine).
The abounded houses would have had been a normal town.
The steel factory would be modern.
The observatory would have been able for you to drive up into the parking lot of it without the street racers.
(Cars the might have been added)
All cars are from 1997 or below, most of the normal dlc cars were 97 planned. Am going to be listing cars that were not put in until a later date or not at all.
1992 Acura NSX
1994 Nissan Fairlady Z (Not known what model)
1992 Nissan Silva Club K’s
1996 Toyota Chaser (X1000)
1990 Mazda Savanna RX-7
1982 Toyota MR2 (unknown model)
(All cars above is what my uncle remembered getting considered for this dlc)
(All features of this dlc)
The features was not very long.
You were not able to use cars past 1997 model year.
The DLC was very street racing focused and would have added more body parts to all street racing cars at the time (ie Supra, RX-7)
No race would be legal. All of them would be illegal.
Cops were considered but not fully put into motion (how would you explain them being not apart of 2012 horizon.)
(Why this was scrapped) The team decided that this would not be a very good idea to have the mostly 2000s and above cars not be drivable. They suspected it would have made the community very mad.
Also big carnival was a code name for extra props for the festival. Hopefully cleared some things up.
My godfather has a nickname with uncle in it so I am sorry if I call him that in this.

2023.06.09 10:24 backlikeclap Trip report from my Sedro-Woolley - Darrington - Arlington bikepacking ride
Day one strava link.
Day two strava link.
Starting in Ballard at 7:30am Wednesday I took the Burke to Bothell and then rode a few different bike trails North until getting on the road with car traffic at the Bothell-Everett Highway. I love Seattle's bike trail network! The highlight here was the North Creek trail which is a mix of gravel and paved, taking me through a bunch of really pretty wetlands.
Bothell-Everett Highway was a bit of a slog. It's about 7 miles of riding with cars on a bike lane that theoretically exists, but often disappears into right hand turn lanes. I kept my head on a swivel and didn't have any close calls. From there I took a right at 132 St (another slog, but a shorter one) before turning on to Seattle Hill Road. This road is an absolute delight heading North, as it's almost continual downhill with a fantastic view of Snohomish Valleys and the surrounding mountains as you descend into the valley farmland. From there I did more road riding on roads with no bike lane or shoulder, passed Harvey Airfield, crossed over the Snohomish River, and stopped in Snohomish for a snack and water refill in the shade.
From Snohomish I took the Centennial Trail all the way through Arlington (thank you 7-Eleven for more snacks) and Bryant. Fantastic trail, shaded and wide. Once I hit Bryant, google maps told me to get on Highway 9 but I saw Centennial Trail actually continued for a few miles, so I stayed on the trail all the way to Nakashima Heritage Barn. Read some plaques and then hopped on to Highway 9. I was able to follow Highway 9 across the Skagit River and into Sedro-Woolley (more snacks).
I headed out on the Cascade Trail from Sedro-Woolley. It's almost entirely gravel though there were some paved sections. I was riding on 38mm semi slick tires and had no issues with the gravel, except one section that looks like it flooded routinely. For that section I hopped off my bike and walked for less than a quarter mile. Though Google said I could take the Cascade Trail all the way to Concrete I found it abruptly ended about 3 miles from Concrete at a small pond with a bench for looking at ducks. Fortunately Highway 20 was an easy ride with plenty of shoulder (and rumble strips on the shoulder, which made me a little bit less concerned about cars merging into me).
Stopped for dinner at Cascade Burgers across the street from the old Portland Cement Company silos just West of Concrete. The restaurant was staffed by frightenly competent high schoolers who were nice enough to bag my fries to go while I had a burger and vanilla milk shake for dinner. I had planned to camp near Concrete that night but I had almost 3 hours of daylight left so I continued on Highway 20 until reaching Rockport, from there I headed South on 530. Note that one section of Highway 20 was under construction with no flaggers, so I ended up riding in the direction of oncoming traffic (on the shoulder). I was passed by two cars on this short section but it was over in a minute or so.
I really should have stopped for the night before hitting Darrington as I was rapidly running out of daylight, but there wasn't much traffic on the road so I decided to continue through Dusk. Grabbed a beer as a reward from the Shell in Darrington and then hurried onto Whitehorse Trail. This trail is entirely gravel. A bit more technical and overgrown than Cascade Trail, but still doable with my tires. Note that Google maps seems to indicate the trail is partially paved which it was not. Also note that there is a sign marking the trail closed due to landslides right when it hits the North Fork Stillaguamish River. I was able to continue using the trail with no issue.
I set up camp at the Darrington Bluegrass Music Park. It's an amazing space with a great view of the still snow covered slopes of Whitehorse Mountain. I'd love to return for a concert.
I wasn't sure of the legality of camping there so I made sure to camp away from any buildings (though I was able to find a working electrical outlet to charge all of my devices and a working sink behind the main building). There wasn't any rain forcasted so I cowboy camped for the night.
In the morning I continued West on the Whitehorse trail. I started seeing signs saying that trail use wasn't permitted in certain areas so I left the trail for Arlington-Darrington Road and took that to Oso. I had planned on a big breakfast at the Oso General Store but it turns out it was a 6x6 room with a very limited food selection and a mean host. I still got a coffee and some fritos for breakfast, but I feel like if I had waited a little longer I would have found a place selling some sort of greasy breakfast sandwich which is what I really wanted.
One bit of weirdness on the trail was when I attempted to leave it at Trafton Trailhead Park. I was still using the Google suggested route but that took me through private property. I just hoofed it and hopefully I didn't bother anyone, but I wouldn't suggest doing this if you're with a group. From Arlington I just did a reverse of my journey North. The only issue I had was leaving the Snohomish Valley for Seattle Hill Road - it's an endless series of climbs with the first one being the hardest. I didn't set any speed records climbing it but at least I didn't have to walk my bike.
I did have one car turn into my bike lane without looking on the Bothell-Everett Highway, but I was able to brake in time to avoid being hit.
Arrived back home in Ballard around 5pm Thursday. Total distance over two days, just over 225 miles, with my first day being the most strenuous at 140 miles.
Final Notes: this is a very beginner friendly ride and you'll never be more than a few miles from food options on the entire route. It is ridiculously pretty. The stretch between North Bothell and Snohomish is the most daunting as you share the road with traffic the entire way. The Cascade Trail had plenty of open areas along the way that were large enough to set up two or even three tents for camping. The only really solid camping spot on Whitehorse Trail is the Darrington Bluegrass Music Park.
