I've recently started looking for new helmets and found this beautiful helmet from HJC: https://www.hjchelmets.us/product/v10-tami/
Unfortunately, I noticed it's only DOT rated on the website with no mention of ECE, SNELL, etc. But then I decided to Google "HJC v10 Tami ECE" and found this page on their European site: https://hjchelmets.eu/product/v10-tami/
Same helmet, different region, different rating information (ECE 22.06). They even make a special callout to the shell material (fiberglass) on the European site, which is strangely absent on the US site. Now I'm not sure if the US version of the helmet is only DOT rated or if it's both DOT & ECE 22.06 rated but the relevant information is only being displayed on each site.
I've reached out to their customer service to find out the answer, but it sure would be nice if they just listed ALL of the relevant safety information on all versions of the site. I even checked out the helmet on third-party retail sites like RevZilla and they ALSO don't mention the ECE 22.06 rating.
Thoughts on this sort of thing from other manufacturers and/or retailers?
