2023.06.08 02:30 loudupstairsneighbor Hi, I'm brand new to the sub. I have a pinchme question

Hi, I'm brand new to the sub. I have a pinchme question. Please don't roast me too bad if my post is totally out of place but definitely let me know if it is. So I like to do a lot of freebie stuff of all sorts and I apply for the free possible sample on pinch me everyday. I was wondering if you guys knew if it increased the odds of getting accepted for the sample on pinch me whenever it's one of those that you may or may not get even though you apply when you get to the end and they ask have you heard of the brand and sometimes it's just a store like Sephora so I feel like I have to answer yes but if it's not something like that would answer me no make you more likely to get the free thing? My thinking is that if you didn't know about the brand which I usually don't unless it's a store or something recognizable like Skittles the other day then they might be more likely to let you try it because you've never heard of it. However let's say they ask if you've heard of the Sephora brand before and you say no what do you think would happen more likely to get it or not? Or if you said yes and then they ask if you bought anything from them in the last 12 months if you say no then they might think you wouldn't buy the sample item from them if they gave it to you but if you said yes they might think you may have already tried it. The last question they ask is have you ever heard of insert name of freebie of the day and then it says yes or no and I usually answer no because I figured if I say no and honestly most of the time the answer is no because the brands are bizarre. Anyway so I figure if I say no which is usually the truth that they will be more likely to give me the sample because I hadn't heard of it and would be more likely to buy it if I like it and I actually do buy samples that I like from pinch me in full size and I don't buy the ones that I don't like.
Sorry that was super ranty I just had eye surgery in my left eye so I have to use talk to text so sorry if it looks like a psychopath wrote this who doesn't know grammar or punctuation. I'm glad to be a part of the community and would love to hear what you guys are all about and if this post is total trash let me know and I can't wait to get to meet all of you!

2023.06.07 18:44 Kami_Kaiser About the Taste of the Ocean Coconut Pack

So, it finally arrived again, Coco Set is now on sale on the Pearlshop, and we also got a discount coupon. The only thing here is... this set came out a year or two back, and it was a freebie obtainable through the Termian Waterpark Event, but the fact that now is on sale makes me wonder... Will they put it as an obtainable freebie this year two? or should I buy it for my Maegu since I think it's kinda SUS for them to sell a set that will be free in a couple of months tops... what do you guys think?

2023.06.07 18:13 darkvampire1988 It's a Tradescantia.. but what variety?

Hey guys looking for an id on this little guy I bought from Morrison's for the usually ridiculous price of £1.19 haha.
Quite a dark green leaf with white lines and patchy purple on the underside.
Also a little bonus pic of a freebie they gave me as it didn't look so happy.

2023.06.06 22:48 Eli_Play Honey can turn to vinegar in the blink of an eye.

Last night, I had my first shift as a full-on bartender and not barback/server at my current place. It was a rainy monday so there weren't any people. At around 10 ish some guy came in and asked for a beer. At our bar we normally dont serve beer, as its only for regulars when we close up or for us after the shift.(the owner decided so some time ago, to emphasise that we are a more high scale place) Now with me being the longest working staff that day and it being a slow day I made en exception. He sat down, even invited me and my coworker on a shot of our cheapest tequila, and the guy began talking.
He complimented the atmosphere and how we are so attentive and what not, and said that a bar like thia shouldn't be empty, even on a monday and so on. He said he had a few ideas on how to increase volume, but those ideas boiled down to "getting some hot chicks here, actually, I happen to know a modeling agency and we can get those gals here", some bs like that. He also said some other sexist stuff that I didn't pay that much attention to. After a while, I asked if he wanted a proper cocktail after the beer since you don't go into a steak house only to order fries.
He promptly said that "Well, only if you invite me, haha," to which I replied that invitations won't pay my rent. After a few seconds, he just said the words "A Black Russian please" The ticket came in, I made the drink he drank it alright.
Then, when it came to pay up, he got quite upset as we "ripped him off" and rang him up with our most expensive tequila. I obviously didn't do that and just served our pouring tequila. He also complained about the black russian being on us. I told him that I didn't agree on that and never made any indication towards that. The way he said it made it clear (to me anyway) that he wanted to order one, not that he demanded a freebie.
He aggressively paid up, and cursed as out, how he knew in the first place that we are a-holes, and no wonder the bar is empty like that on a monday if we rip people off etc.
Guy even left a 1-star google review in which he stated that we overcharged him by a lot. He posted the bill, where it clearly shows what he ordered and how much.
So yeah, it was kinda funny but also scarry how quickly he went from smearing honey over our snouts to get a free drink and then turning sour when it didn't work out.
Also, my coworker and I are both pretty young, with him being 25 and me being 21, so the guy probably thought that would work out easy for him.
EDIT: About the beer policy, we are in a pedestrian street where there are lots of bars that each serve a "function". Like there are Draft beer bars, wine bars, even champagne bars and then us as a cocktail bar. Think of it as a kind of Food-Court street only with bars and drinks instead of food.
I think we should still offer it regularly, but that's on our old owner that we don't. I didn't mean to "look down" on the guy ordering a beer, so sorry for my poor wording.

2023.06.06 20:41 blushingbags Roses, cream, vanilla and suede: A Possets Review (8 Fragrances)

Hi all! This is my first review as I've dived into this addicting world of indie fragrance. I hope you find it helpful - CCW too! I'll be rating it on a scale of 1-5; 1, I'll destash and 5 is a definite full-size purchase. I literally just received these samples yesterday so I can't quite speak to the longevity yet except for one that I am wearing today. I'll try each one for all-day wear but I was too excited to post my review.
A little bit about me: I'm always on the hunt for the perfect smell-like-a-rose scent. You know how in romance novels the main heroine is described with "a trace of roses follows as she walks by" or something ridiculously romantic like that? That's what I aspire to. But I also want to be the witch in the story - dark and sultry and mysterious and probably a badass. Think of patchouli and incense - I love that stuff. A little sweet, a little spicy. I'm not crazy about too sharp scents or on the flip side, powdery dusty scents. I want to feel transported or transformed when I wear perfume.
Isabella - Notes of rose are combined with a light resin, white tea leaf, and a rare honey/milky-musk. I purchased this sample because I saw a high review of it from u/Zaltara_the_Red in her rose spreadsheet. Do you want to smell like a lovely little cabbage patch doll? Then this perfume is it for you. It's creamy and sweet first, then rosey. It's really delicate and soft. It's the perfume I decided to wear today for longevity. It's faded into something even softer but still there. Like skimming a rose across your nose, setting it down, and taking a sip of tea. It slightly reminds me of Rose Jam by lush but without the sticky sweetness of Rose Jam. It's very feminine, not overpowering with roses (I could probably actually use a little more rose). I love it. 5/5 will full-size this.
Beatrice - Skin musk, 2 white musks, "Crystalline" musk, and grey musk. In the bottle and wet on the skin, it reminds me of a day at the beach. The smell of freshly applied sunscreen with a hint of shea butter. (I'm still learning these notes but I'm guessing it's the white musk.) It faded into something a little more mature. I think this perfume could have used a kick of spice, but it is pleasing to smell. Golden and soft. 3/5 I think if you love beachy smells without the coconut, you'll enjoy this one.
Dance with Me - A superb coumarin-laced lavender combines with fizzy pink grapefruit, and it all rests on a bed of white musk. SO MUCH GRAPEFRUIT. Do you remember that Grapefruit perfume by Bath and Body Works? This is it right off the top. Fun fact, I used to wear that B&BW scent in my early 20s and it was like a man-magnet. I'll try Dance with Me one day to see if it has the same effect in my 30s now ha ha. I did not get any lavender or coumarin, and to be honest, I had to Google coumarin ("freshly mown hay"). I'll be interested to see if any other notes come through more as it lasts on my skin. It seemed to fade quickly. I liked it, not sure if I'd wear it as a signature scent though now. 2/5 mostly because I think I've outgrown it but maybe I'll boost my rating after a full-day wear.
Lavender Corset - Lilac, musk, versatile, feminine, clean, sophisticated, long lasting, cooling, summer scent. Guys, this was pretty close to that romance novel scent I'm chasing. I felt like I smelled like a garden. Side note: I love lilacs. For three years, I have tried planting lilacs in my yard but they die each time so if you have any gardening tips, throw them at me. Back to it - I have tried Just Lilacs scents before, and the lilac is strong in this one (iykyk). Lilac is at the forefront of this perfume and then it is followed by light musk. It is indeed clean and feminine. Con: it is a sharp scent. It faded into something a little softer, but it had me wondering "Do I like this? Is it still too sharp?" so it will require more testing. You would really have to be a fan of floral, feminine scents. It was not powdery, which is a plus in my book. 3.5/5 maybe a 4 depending on all-day wear.
Queen of the Night - A deeply perfumy blend with a deeply foody core. If your goal is to smell like a kitchen witch, try it. It is very perfumy. Toffee syrup, a little nutty. It's like eating pancakes smothered in syrup on a crisp September morning. This is a really nice fall scent IMO. It's really warm and cozy and feels a little bit like I'm being enveloped by a cozy cottage kitchen witch. Unfortunately, this is not the kind of witch I'm vibing to be. 1.5/5.
My Love Like is a Red, Red Rose - A very comforting, sweet, and almost sugared rose--not sharp at all. Floral. As I said before, this is one of my "maybe this is ~the rose~ scent that becomes my signature." Alas, it will not be. It is sweet. The rose note is stronger than Isabella. Although at the cost of it not being sharp, the softness is powder as opposed to cream/sugar. Kinda dusty. Mature. Meh. 1/5.
Amethyst - A sharp amber to start combines with a smoother and more caramel-like amber and a great shot of lavender on top of it all. This was one of the freebies sent to me. As it described, it's a sharp amber. Kind of like a punch in the face at first. Then the caramel comes out to smooth out the sharpness. Unfortunately for me, the lavender seems like a weak shot. It's somewhere hanging in the back but I have to search through the amber. It is very amber-heavy. It gets softer as it lingers on my skin, but I guess I learned I really don't enjoy amber. 1/5
Arrival of the Queen of Sheba - Mysore sandalwood, suede, frankincense, patchouli, 4 vanillas. This was the second freebie. I was honestly so surprised by this one, in a good way. So another fun fact about me is that I ride horses. Western. Barrel-racing. And smelling this perfume, I was the Queen of Sheba arriving in the middle of a Western movie scene. The suede is a twang that is calmed by sandalwood, patchouli, and vanilla. The vanilla is a strong backdrop of the perfume. It fades and the suede comes through. Like the leather of a saddle. Surprisingly, and because I wouldn't say vanilla is my vibe, I liked it. I would try this for a day to see how it lasts. 4/5
And that, my friends, is my first review! I'm still learning so I hope it was helpful. I have a larger sample order of BPAL arriving soon so I'll post my review of those too. I also have one lone order from DeathandFloral (Rose Seltzer) that I'll throw in a review of with the BPAL.
Do you have any of these scents? What do you think?

NPO AEG VSK 94 w 9a-91 kit

Sales overview: https://youtu.be/ypG28woLCXg
New never fielded NPO AEG VSK94 all stock, Includes the gun, Upgraded lightweight suppressor, 4 additional midcap mags (for a total of 5), conversion parts if you wanted to convert it to the 9a-91 (grip, upper reciever w folding stock, outer barrel, inner barrel, and barrel nut if running it without supressor and original manuals and documentation. This is a beautiful odd gun that is absolutely built like a tank all steel receiver with a hard phosphate coat same as the real deal. the VSK94 historically is/was used by the spetsnaz, fsb count4er terrorism units and other russian special forces as a 9x39 subsonic DMR as a easier to manufacture alternative to the likes of VSS. The 9A-91 primarily has seen use with Russian police forces. It is used as a cheaper and more versatile alternative to the SR-3M Vikhr
I did a video look at this gun in detail here: https://youtu.be/6Aop8yqT5Gc . Gun was shipped in parts from russia, so no original box, I assembled it and went over install and reviewed it as i went. I did also examine the gearbox as well while it was out of the gun. You can find a internal review here: https://youtu.be/7uyfZ__9r3Q

KWA RM4 ERG Magpul edition

Sales Overview: https://youtu.be/7AS_XO12oX4
This gun is used I have fielded it a few times but pretty low milage (i tend to collect more than I play).
Package include, Gun, 1x 30 rnd mag w/cutoff, 6x K120c's with cutoff, Leapers red/green dot, magpul backup rear iron sight, and original spring/recoil weight.
Internally
This gun is a blast to use, but it really wasnt getting the feild time from me over my other replicas so decided to sell it. Its a great PTW or "realistic" training type of weapon due to functioning bolt cutoff and that all mags can be locked to a realistic 30 rounds if desired, disabling the trigger after the last round fired and requiring you to hit the bolt release after changing a mag before you can fire again (note its not a GBBR the bolt doesn't actually blow back)

Golden Eagle GBBR NIB

Selling this never been gassed or fired can be tested or chono'd on request. The GE GBBR system is a WA clone this means you can use WA upgrade parts (Which basically means GHK parts as they also run on the WA system). The receiver is Polymer but the hand guard and barrel are metal. The handguard is what they call the delta style which is sort of this interesting almost triangular shape see pics. From what I have heard these may not be the most amazing GBBR but are a fair base/entry into the GBBR world without breaking the bank with reasonable aftermarket part support.

2023.06.06 17:51 crazy8point5s Camsoda or Cams/Streamray - does anyone actually have any luck on these sites?

Hey gals - I'm trying to assess whether or not I should bother streaming on these two sites, I have had very minimal success with camsoda and I legit have not had one person come into my room on cams. To be fair I have only turned my stream on for cams a handful of times (mostly because they require your bitrate to be so low, and other sites that I cam on, like Chaturbate, require it to be higher, I wonder if this is because they know what the other site is requiring and are trying to discourage multi-streaming?) But Camsoda, I pretty much have turned on every night, and I haven't made $100 since I started camming there about 2 months ago. I typically have upwards of 100 lurkers/non-coin holding viewers, and will occasionally get a few stray coin carrying viewers come in, tip me a few coins, then leave. I've only gone private on there once, so from my experience, it's mostly just freeloaders. I've also picked up a few people who have been able to get my snap without paying for it (it isn't posted on any of my other socials, the only thing I can think of is that it's the same username as my cam handles, it really isn't that big of a deal because I don't even really use it outside of communicating with a few regulars to coordinate setting up times for vid calls) that spam my SC and then constantly come into my room and demand freebies. Point is, the only thing I've gained from that site is slightly annoying fruit flies that buzz around my room waiting for freebies or me to do a show and lurkers that say nothing.

For reference I am quite successful on Chaturbate, I average about $75/hour, and finally hopped on Streammate and made $60 in my first hour on there. Maybe I just don't fit the aesthetic for the site? I'm a tall, athletic MILF with magenta/purple hair and a somewhat gothic/alternative look to me (very subdued, I don't consider myself goth but I wear a lot of black because it goes really well with my complexion). Or maybe I'm just doing it wrong? That is my guess for cams, I don't fully understand how the room structures work (like what actually is the nude room? Do I have to sit there naked or do I get naked once someone comes in? The explanation on the site is very vague). I would like to give cams more of a shot, especially since I cam late at night and they offer the "happy hour" between 3-6 am, but at this point I would rather use my bandwidth to just stream somewhere I'm actually going to make money. I've been trying out LiveJasmin as well, and I'll be honest I am not a fan of the site. I can't figure out how to set up my Lovense using OBS/the browser chat (as far as I can tell you can't do this? Please correct me if I'm wrong) and that's another question I have regarding their room structure - is my camera not visible in the member chat? I had a few viewers tell me that they could not see my cam or hear me in the member chat and that it was only visible in the free chat, but one of them seemed to hear me ask the question if he could see me, so I am suspicious of that statement, lol. It doesn't really make sense why I wouldn't be visible, it seems like they just wanted me to go to free chat, but if they are able to go into the member chat, what's the motivation there? The site is also SUUUPER strict, my account is currently suspended because the last night I cammed there I accidentally forgot to turn off one of my cameras when I switched over to my "dance cam", which was more of just annoyance than anything, but my non-explicit pic has been accepted and then rejected a few days later like 4-5 times without much explanation as to why. That site seems more hassle than it's worth. So far I like the traffic and clientele on Streammate, but I don't like that I can only stream there because they discourage the use of OBS. Which honestly isn't the end of the world either, if I'm going private it's not like I'd be streaming on other sites anyway.

So I guess my bigger questions are, do a lot of people see the same problems with Camsoda & Cams, and if not, could I be missing something? And other girls who have seen success on Chaturbate & SM, are there other sites that you also do well on? I still haven't decided if I'm going to continue camming on LJ, if anyone has success stories with that site, I would love to hear your feedback. In my experience guys will take me private for a few seconds and then end it, it's very frustrating because I will end my stream on other sites and then they end the private, so I make like 50 cents. That site also seems overly involved, I'm on SextPanther, Mvids & OnlyFans, I really don't have a ton of extra time going through all their prompts & their video/photo uploader is not the best. Sorry if I seem like I'm just complaining, I am really just trying to paint a full picture of my experience so I can (hopefully) get the best feedback. As always you guys are awesome, thanks in advance! 💋

I hope someone could help
I'm trying to remember where I got this little guy.
I had a vivid memory that I got this when I was a kid from a milk formula. It was a freebie.
But I don't know which brand of milk that has this mascot? (It also has a blue cat, and a yellow squirrel? 🤷🏻‍♀️)
Hoping that someone here could help, it's been bothering me for ages 😂

2023.06.06 11:02 leverington546 (OC) Don’t know if this is against the rules, but we lost a beloved pet not long ago and me and my partner are looking for an artist to paint something for us.

As the title says me and my partner lost a beloved pet and I’m willing to pay for quality. Not wanting a freebie as we know talent and quality come with a price, and artists deserve the most for what they do. Just not entirely sure where to look in New Zealand for someone to commission a piece for us. Any direction would be greatly appreciated.
Edit : thankyou guys for all the suggestions working through them now , and hopefully the artists respond !. Much appreciated

2023.06.05 21:51 LotusClouds Purchasing new car, where to start?

Hey everyone,
After waiting nearly a year and a half for my order, the guy at the dealership let me know my car should be arriving next month.
I'm excited, but honestly I'm so lost on where to begin. I'm the only one in my family to drive.
I know I need a license plate and insurance. What are the proper steps in getting everything I need before purchasing my car?
I am located in Ontario.
Also, is it possible to negotiate any freebies and perks due to the long wait time? I was originally quoted six months.
Thanks in advance!

2023.06.04 14:03 Mattrapbeats Doubling customer's lifetime value

I'm back with another post. Despite the cyber attacks I've been getting from butthurt marketing agency owners, I'm still giving out free knowledge. In fact, I'm a bit fired up today. So I’m going to sit here in front of my computer for the next 2 hours and come up with something good.

Last week, I showed you how you can make your first 10 sales without spending anything on marketing. 2 weeks ago I showed you exactly what I did to bring in an extra 2.5 million in sales (without paid ads) for a brand that already had good traction. This post is for everyone in the middle. It’s for the guys that aren't quite at that 7 figure stage yet but aren't rookies either.

It’s so easy to live and die in the 20k-75k range for a handful of reasons. Your bills are paid, your margins are cool and you have a system that works. Of course, you want to scale, but that fire you had when you started just isn't as hot as it used to be.

Think of customers as heat, and your business is fire. This post is made to be the gasoline. You can pour a little bit of gasoline on your fire and your flame will jump. Instant but temporary heat. But consistently doing the 3 things that I’m going to mention below is like dumping an endless supply of gasoline in your fire pit. Eventually, you'll end up with a fire so big that it will probably spread and grows on its own. You can build a heat source that never dies.

Here are 3 things you can do to double the lifetime value of your customers:

  1. Order Personalization - I’ll start here because most people underestimate how important it is to make people feel like you care about them. A personal touch goes a long way. It's important to connect with customers on a personal level. I’ve said this before but I’ll say it again. You sell as a person, not as a business. I'll give you an example of exactly how to do this.

So I have a client that sells niche-specific hats. He went from his customer service email inbox being filled with order-specific questions to an inbox full of people telling him how much they love his brand. He didn't change his products, he didn't fix his slow shipping times but he did start writing handwritten messages and putting them in the boxes of as many orders as he can. This alone can literally double your customer's lifetime value if you do it right. The message needs to be personal. You know where they live, you know what they bought, and you know their names. That’s more than enough information.

Here’s an example of what you can write (product in example: golf hats):
“Thank you sooooo much for another order Mike, I’m so grateful for your support. Good luck at your next Golf Game!”

21 words, 30 seconds of writing, You just guaranteed that this guy will either purchase again or refer a friend to your brand.

P.S. People love messy handwriting. It just feels more real. You’d be surprised by how many people will message you saying they’ve never received a handwritten note with something they bought online in their life.

There are a lot of ways to personalize orders. But I hope that example gave you the jist of what I’m trying to say. You personalize the order in a way that makes the customer feel special. They should know that their order is different from everyone else order.

  1. Rewards programs/Ambassador programs- This is very simple. Humans are dopamine addicts, we don't do anything unless it makes us feel good. Fuel your customer's dopamine addictions by rewarding them for giving you their money.

“Congrats! You just spend $400 on my store, here are 40 reward points equivalent to 40 cents that you can use toward your next order!” This sounds insanely stupid when you put it this way. But people will use the fact that they have some type of personal credit or discount as an excuse to buy from you again. Just seeing points being loaded onto their account is an instant dopamine hit. It's like leveling up in a video game. The achievement is pretty much worthless, but it cost you something so it has value to you.

  1. Post-purchase follow-ups - Your repeat customers help you pick up momentum without you spending more money on new traffic. On smaller stores, you can have 1-2 customer thank you flows. On some of the bigger stores I work with, we’ve built 6 of these flows. Yes, 6 automated post-purchase email flows. Every time someone buys, the language you use when you communicate with them slightly changes. People who purchase once should know how much you appreciate them. If they purchase 2 times, they should know that they are so close to becoming a VIP and that it's in their best interest to buy again. People who purchase 3x are VIP customers and they should know and be rewarded. People who purchase 4x+ should get even more perks and maybe even a gift. Make sure to implement a survey in the later flows to find out why your repeat customers keep coming back. 9/10 times they will have a personal reason like “You guys actually reply to my customer service emails” or “You guys keep giving me gifts with all my orders” or “I’ve seen the founder come a long way, I love the products and I want to support the company.”

Think of the first sale as your customer entering a new sales funnel. Now you get to persuade them into making more purchases by making them feel appreciated and special. Why would anyone buy from your competition when they are already VIP customers with you? Just the idea of not knowing what the reward will be after they make another purchase is enough for someone to make a purchase with you again. Make the reward for making a purchase unpredictable. They should have no idea if they're going to get a freebie, a discount, or a virtual high-five when they place an order. But, no matter what, they should know that they are appreciated.

I’ll end this by talking about one of my favorite shows; Shark Tank. I always remember how excited Kevin O’leary became when a business owner came in and told him that their average customer converts twice in a 90-day period after the initial acquisition. He essentially told the entrepreneur that if he could sustain this trend he’d never go broke. This has pretty much lived in the back of my head ever since I watched it. I have no clue what episode it is, or what business it was but it's ingrained in my mind. It’s an undoubtable sign of a really good business.

If you have other ideas about how to increase customers lifetime value I encourage you to share them. These are just 3 examples that I’ve seen work in real life but the possibilities are endless when you connect with your customers on a emotional level.
