Hey, so I 31f matched with this guy 34m almost a month ago from Bumble and everything’s going great so far. He travelled by plane for our first date (I live 1h 30m away from him by plane+bus and 3h by ferry+bus) and his communication was pretty consistent.
That is up until I noticed that he would take a while to reach out on some nights. When I came home from a weekend holiday, he asked me if I was already in my apartment and I said yes. When I asked him back, he said he was but a little longer than his usual cadence. When I checked Bumble, he wasn’t home. He’s like 20-30km away from there.
I’m posting here as this is the 2nd time he’s done this. We’re not exclusive yet and we have mentioned to each other that we’re still on apps talking to other people. I just don’t like being lied to this early in the dating stage. Is it too hard to say “I’m out right now but will text you when I get home” instead of saying you’re home when you’re not? I don’t care if he’s out on a date. Just the lies piss me off.
For context as well, I’ve been cheated on and lied to from my exes so this early sign triggered me.
Should I let him know about this or let it play until he asks me to be exclusive? Any additional advice would be appreciated.

So my now ex-girlfriend and I were together for 3 years. We met when we were 17, and spent the large share of our formative years together. It's been some great times, some rough times. We moved out together at 18 and powered our way through adolescent life as a power-couple. Our friends would awe at our level of maturity and understanding within our relationship.
However, there were a few things that we both struggled to deal with from the start of our relationship.

• Different life goals: I wantes to move to the city and study, she wanted to stay in the country and settle down.
• Sex Life: Vastly different libidos. This is largely a health issue but over time it made me feel unattractive.
• Social Proclivities: I was a huge people person, she was not. Over time I spent less and less time with my friends and more time with her, resulting in me now having very few friends.

These are all issues we worked through to attempt to compromise on each other with, but due to their nature, at their core we could not resolve them.
It started going downhill in the past few months. She had a short mental episode and quit her job as a result. So, I took up 2 jobs to keep us afloat. It worked for a while, but over time I grew tired of working for 2 people and doing a mountain of housework when I got home. Some days I would get back from my first shift in the afternoon and she would still be in bed. I tried to be understanding of her situation, but she got a lot better mentally yet refused to look for a job, seemingly comfortable with the idea of me working super hard and her being able to relax at home.
I ended up quitting one of the jobs due to stress. A close famiky member died. Suddenly, we were financially struggling, adding more stress to the flames. I was never taught to deal with stress, so I let it bottle up.
I ended up talking to a friend about how frustrated I was. Frustrated that I couldn't move away from this town because she didn't want to. Frustrated because I couldn't afford things for myself and I was paying for her to live. Frustrated that I couldn't see my friends or go out past 10PM because she'd message me non-stop and be upset when I got home. Frustrated that I'd forgotten who I even was before "I" become "Us". I'd discussed these issues with my girlfriend before, but they never came to a satisfying conclusion.
She told me that maybe I needed to venture out on my own. Get some personal development in. I agreed.
So, around a week ago I sat her down and we had the conversation. She was understandably upset. I was too. I explained that the seperation was to grow as an individual, with the hope in mind that someday in the future, we could come back as a stronger collective. She understood.
She turned a corner pretty much immediately. Got a job after 3 days, having previously gotten 2 interviews in 2 months. She does housework. We stay in our seperate areas.
The problem lies within the fact that we still live together. I'm in emotional purgatory because I can't start to process my feelings when I see her and support her while she's upset every day. She supports me too; I had a gnarly panic attack that got me to the hospital - she drove and sat with me through the whole thing.
We talk a bit about our boundaries and expectations for the future. She's been really struggling to idealise herself living alone and being without me. Going to seperate bedrooms in the evening breaks both our hearts every night. I miss her as she misses me.
I've had to remind myself every day as to why we broke up. I tell myself that this personal development is essential, that living alone and being forced to face adulthood without a safety will make me a stronger person and, ideally, make us a stronger couple someday down the line.
But every time I see her cry, all I want is to take her in my arms and tell her it was all some stupid mistake, that everything is okay and we can go back to how it used to be.
It's all just so hard.
I guess my question is; Is prioritising my personal growth as a human being the right choice? Or have I just thrown away a slightly-scuffed-but-fixable relationship out of my selfish desire to 'live out my 20s'?
TL;DR: I broke up with my long-term girlfriend to focus on self-growth. Is that a good enough reason?

Hello, 18 nearly 19 F, currently at university in my first year of my law degree (4-year program straight out of high school). However, I can’t help but feel I am wasting my life away… To explain the degree isn’t necessarily the problem, I feel like I have made the right decision in choosing law (although I am not really enjoying it) everything else is my life is a complete disaster. I still and always have lived with my mum, my parents divorced when I was very young, and my relationship with my father has been rocky my entire life (he has 6 children in total, all from different women, in different parts of the country- pretty self-explanatory). We have gone years without contact. My mum, was and still is a great mum in many aspects, however, she has struggled with alcohol addiction since I was around 8 and being just her and I, our roles reversed and I became her parent. She is still drinking, every week she believes she will quit, I have tried to get her help, but she refuses. However, she is only a night drinker (but drinks alot), thus for the most part has been able to maintain a job on pretty good money as she is highly qualified in her profession. Due her drunkenness, she has/does verbally abuse me, however only has become physically abusive a few times which were long ago. When I have mentioned it to her, she has no recollection and immediately apologises. Her family is not supportive whatsoever, often ignored the issue and we now (for the past 5 years) live far away from all family - Christmas day, birthdays etc are JUST her and I. She has alot of issues with her own mum, who I believe is also an alcoholic. For this reason, I don’t drink alcohol and never intend to. Nevertheless, apart from her drinking she really is a great mum, she is and has always been my number one supporter, when she is sober anyone would be lucky to call her ‘mum’. When I was younger, I had a lot of anxiety, I struggled in school and for many years worried that someone would realise what was going on and I would be removed from our home. In high school, I went through periods of having many friends to have none, it was a rollercoaster. My life came crashing down in COVID, mum lost her job (which made her night-time drinking into all day-drinking), I got very sick with an autoimmune condition and developed an eating disorder. This forced me to home-school. It was a horrible period of my life, yet eventually things got better, she stopped daytime drinking and smoking, got a new job, I got better and she was extremely caring and supportive through dealing with my eating issues. I remained home-schooling via online which was great for my grades but terrible for my social life. Eventually, I graduated and got a high enough grade for a good Law degree. I did want to originally take a gap year, mum had talked about travelling Europe for a few months which she kindly offered to pay for me. I really wanted to travel the world, however, as much as I love her, I really didn’t want to go with her as I wanted to be ‘normal’ for once and go with people my own age. Also, she doesn't like taking photos (which ofc I want to capture it being on holidays) and although she doesn't mean to makes me feel anxious doing things out of the house. Like I can't fully enjoy myself. There has also been past bad experiences with her drunk on holidays as well. I have some money but definitely not enough to go alone, and as a young female I didn’t think this is the best - I desperately wished I had friends. My mum obviously was extremely against it, and it really would make me feel guilty about the idea of ever leaving her. So, I decided to start university, which brings me to present day, I have met no friends, tried to go to clubs, classes etc with no luck. It seems everyone just wants to go out and get wasted - which clearly I am not interested. I literally have no fun in my life apart from some time with my mum. Nevertheless, I am so scared that in other ways I am turning into my mum. As she also doesn’t really have any friends, doesn’t date and her whole life revolves around me. I want freedom and independence, this might be tmi but I want to experience being in a relationship, being an adult without feeling the guilt that I am abandoning her. I am starting to think maybe I should defer university for six months and travel, as I have more funds to now do and have always wanted to. I live in Australia, which I have never really felt is my true home, yes I am aware the grass is always greener on the other side, however, I have always felt in the long term I would try to relocate overseas (I have already travelled to many other countries with my mum when I was younger). In terms of travelling, I do worry I could waste all of my money and not meet people which is something I think I am really in need of oand feel even worse than I feel right now. In addition to possibly making my mum angry. I ask you all for your humble advice, should I stick my university out, worry about friends later or should I defer? By the way, I am very lucky that as I live with my mum I don’t pay any rent or bills, no way that without a degree working a minimum wage job even full time I would be able to support myself. I don’t work many hours right now as my university workload is crazy. She is very generous and okay with this. I am sure I have missed out so many details and made mistakes as I am writing this sooo late.. apologies!! Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thankyou so much.

Thanks for reading this in advance and sorry for the length of this.
Basically, my situation is that I am currently a trainee solicitor looking to qualify in 2024 February with a law firm based in St Albans and London that is small to mid (100 people in total (60-70 fee earners, 5 EPs, and like 20 salaried partners)).
My ultimate goal is to move to the UAE/KSA and continue to practice. At the minute it is looking like I will qualify in corporate and commercial and having already spent a year as trainee (6 months paralegal prior to TC) with them and will be going back to spend my final 6 months with them after dispute resolution. I have worked in that department for 2 partners (one EP, one salaried). Both of their work and personality is completely different. One is a machine and utterly disciplined and can be very rude and ruthless in terms of work (put it this way - no one has lasted in that department as a trainee/NQ or even at higher PQEs). The other is very nice to speak to very bubbly but equally as meticulous when it comes to work.
I have very much enjoyed my time there with them and am very surprised when they said they want me to come back and stay (nothing in writing obv). All in all, I would say I will have completed just shy of 20 transactions (maybe more by the time I go back) all ranging from £1m - £28m, all of them being MBOs, acquisitions, sales, refinancing, EOTs etc not to mention the smaller commercial agreements such as loan agreements, reviewing T&Cs etc. The work does not look like it is drying up any time soon either. The work is not stellar like your US law firms or MC firms but the work is varied and I have had incredible amounts of responsibility from the get-go. We do deal with MC firms/national firms most of the time but not all the time.
I feel like I have had good training and will continue to get it but the issue comes down to salary and my ultimate goal. Having spoken to a few recruiters, they basically said no one would look at you if you stay at your firm and you need more PQE in terms of your ultimate goal which is fair enough. I do not mind staying but they won't pay me enough for me to enjoy my life outside of work, especially with a young family. I am open to moving up north (Leeds, Manchester, Liverpool or Birmingham) to one of the international firms or even US law firms in London. However, I do not think I will get a sniff at either given the current market for NQs (not the time for me to apply anyway) but even in the future I do not think I would get a sniff at those firms due to where I have trained plus recruiters are another issue, they keep trying to move me to similar firms for similar pay but it is like the whole reason why I want to move is for a bigger pay packet given what I do and will do. I am not fussed with working hard and long hours.
I don't know if I should engage with recruiters as they seem to just look for their own benefit and I do not feel comfortable with disclosing my ultimate goal to them either hence why they may be pushing me to the same sort of firms.
Anyone willing to weigh in on this situation or someone who has been in the same situation where you probably are treated like a qualified lawyer at trainee level but if you decide to move you probably would not get a sniff because others who train at prestigious firms have probably had better training/quality of deals/simply the name on the CV?

Just wanted to share something that seemed to work for me.
Last year, when I got my bloodwork taken, my doctor started talking about cholesterol. My level was not high per se but my LDL just crossed the 3 digit mark, so she wanted me to start being concious of high saturated fat in my diet. I have always been on top of eating extremely healthy-mostly plant based, nuts, seeds, legumes, fish, chicken and stuff like that. The only thing I ate that could have raised my cholesterol was eggs (but I had no more than 2 every other day), but then there is also controversy whether eggs even raise cholesterol in the first place, so I didn't know what really was causing it except genetics.
I started doing some research and people talked about oatmeal (which I eat sometimes but not everyday) and psyllium husk. I used to take psyllium husk back in college because of irregularity issues, but I had no idea it had potential benefit for cholesterol. There are actual scientific studies that have backed up husk, and so I decided to take it everyday for the past few months.
Got my results today. LDL dropped 16 points since October and total cholesterol dropped 23 points. I do think taking husk was helpful for me. Since it's fiber, it also is good for diabetes as well though I don't think it necesarily made a difference in blood sugar. You have to make sure you drink it with enough water and if you've had issues with digestive health, then I would obviously consult with a physician before starting it. Also it can potentially delay absorption of certain meds, so if you're taking other medications outside of insulin, I would consult your provider as well. My endo didn't seem to really know about it when I mentioned it lol, it is actually a popular thing in my home country for digestive issues, but if you're struggling with something like this I would give it a try by starting small and going from there.

Ok, so I'm a night stocker. i got hired two months ago . I'm already pulled into drama that I really don't wanna be in . One night, like 3 weeks ago, give or take our closing manager, I think it's our mic. I'm not 100 percent on everyone's role names, but anyway, she was closing the store that night .before she went home, she decided to have a team meeting and talk about how we are doing . She said We are slow ,and the worst crew she's ever had and it's shity. I personally think we do ok. There is some improvement to do in some areas, but I wouldn't call us the worst . During this meeting, one of my stock controllers was there. The other one was off that night , I'll call him J the other D . My mic told us how we can do stuff differently and improve, which I appreciate . So the next night Im doing it the way she told us and J said why are you doing it that way and I said this is the way mic told us to do it .has she talked to you yet? J said no, what did she say?I told him everything, including the we are the worst crew she's ever had, and it's shit part . evidently thats a not something you should tell your employees.Well he got upset and told our grocery manager, She asked what mic said and I told her ,I also added that I didn't care what was said and I don't want drama , she also asked D and the other night stocker . And both said that she did say that.
The next night J told me that him and D had talked to the mic about it and she said that's not how she meant it and that we twisted her words, and D backstepped and said yea maybe they did twist your words . So now it's makes me seem like a liar , and I know I'm not a liar because 2 other ppl said the same thing . It upsets me that D would change his story, and I'm not sure why he would , but those 2 ppl also told my grocery and J, so I have proof that D said she said it .
But now J tells me my mic wants to have a conversation about it and talk to me to set it straight and find out why I twisted her words and lie...
So how do I go about this ?

I need advice on how I should go about it because I'm damn if I do damn if I don't. 7 months ago I moved my daughter and I 3,000 miles away from the only home we’ve ever known. My boyfriend wanted to move back to his hometown with his family. I recently found out he’s been entertaining other girls via social media and text, one of these girls he took out to dinner when he was out of town (where she lives). He only got caught because I went through his phone. 7 years in, he has full access to my phone and not because he’s demanded it but because I have nothing to hide and I don’t care if he needs to use it or if he wants to look through it. I am an open door person and I have no issues with that. I had this gut feeling that something has been off and turns out I was right. The entertaining of other females has been going on since before we moved. I brought up that I was uncomfortable with one of these girls at one point and he laughed at me and told me that his sister and him have concluded that I am insecure. Turns out I’m not, just aware of patters and quite observant. Now ‘shit hit the fan’ as they say and I went off, how dare you move my child and i away from our family and support system to this place where I have no one just to do this to us. He is overly apologetic, let me get out my anger and frustration and has listened to me just go off on him for the past two days. He is begging to make it work, saying he will give me full access to his phone, do everything I ask to rebuild the trust that is absolutely gone. He swears it never got physical but the intent was there.
Is there a way to come back from this? How do you work through something like this when all you feel is hurt and anger?

I'm not talking about eugenics or compulsorily castrating people. I'm talking about common sense.
I am married. I have a sister-in-law with ADHD/borderline/hypochondria. And three children. She constantly experiences serious health problems. She has already been hospitalized for psychotic episodes, she has already been hospitalized for taking inappropriate medication due to hypochondriasis (it wasn't a suicide attempt, it was just an exaggerated dosage of medication). TDH means that she doesn't take good care of herself and the house in general, so she lives with her three children in what I can only describe as the most chaotic house I've ever seen in my life.
Her neglect of her children is absurd. One of them has severe speech delay and they think it's due to lack of interaction at home. Another is non-verbal autistic. Another is ADHD with hyperactivity and demands attention 24/7. Due to her lack of care and the way she raises them, the three (4, 6 and 7 years old) are extremely difficult. They don't have any hygiene, they don't have ANY self-regulation. They are good in the sense that they are not exactly bad children and they are not to blame for the environment in which they live, but they do not have the slightest education or manners. They eat like animals, getting everything dirty, using their hands and with their mouths open. They don't know how to shower or maintain their own hygiene by themselves and they stink a lot all the time. And I have other kids in my family and in my wife's family, I know sometimes kids stink. They just always to, and terribly. They fight all the time, they scream.
Due to my sister-in-law's hospitalizations, and the fact that her husband is extremely poor and a street vendor, the children have stayed with my wife and me quite often. At least once a month their mother is hospitalized and they need to spend some time here at home, sometimes two days, sometimes a week. It's chaos. The most complete chaos. There's no other way to define it.
This text may seem calm, but I am now shaking with anger and impatience. She was admitted again, the three of them have been here for three days again. I locked myself in one of the rooms, she said I'm working and trying not to freak out. I'm at the point of forbidding my wife to be the sister who always rescues the nephews because she feels sorry for the rest of the family. Her other siblings just say no, my mother-in-law says she doesn't want to raise a "child of a crazy person". When my wife didn't rescue them, the three of them were home alone for long periods of time. It's such a tense and draining situation that, honestly, I even think about filing for divorce because I can't stand this routine.
And, in case you ask, yes, we have already tried to look at the issue of child custody due to the situation in which they live. We were unable to reverse anything, even knowing people who work in the government's social assistance area.
Also, before you ask, I love children. I have other nephews, I call them to sleep here, I take them out, I take care of them when there is a problem. I even feel guilty about what I'm going to say here because I KNOW it's not their fault, but I hate living with these three nephews of this troubled sister-in-law. I hate. It is the purest hell.

If met, this would reflect a decent 8.4% improvement in sales compared to the last 12 months. Statutory earnings per share are presumed to swell 17% to CA$0.08. Before this latest update, the analyst had been forecasting revenues of CA$29m and earnings per share (EPS) of CA$0.05 in 2023. So we can see there's been a pretty clear increase in analyst sentiment in recent times, with both revenues and earnings per share receiving a decent lift in the latest estimates.
