I was flying from San Francisco to Edinburgh and had a part of my connecting flight (from London to Edinburgh) cancelled. Are any of you aware of/had any experience with what the compensation should be if just the last leg is cancelled? I.e. does the compensation cover the full distance of the return flight or just the final leg?

Planning to make such a change as the stock ones (2x SP120L) are way too loud, and they throttle up every time to compensate for the heat my 5900x produces under load (80 Celsius) and it feels like there's a Boeing 737 taking off in my room.
I got some in my mind, open to suggestions though. I know that I'd better change my AIO into a 240 one at least, but I'm not sure how much the difference will be, and to be honest, I don't want to spend 200 bucks just for 4-5 degrees. The case is Phanteks P400S and I plan to change the front panel into the mesh one, which I believe will make a difference as it's closed by default.

My father is ill and doesn’t know how much longer he’ll be able to travel. He wants to travel with me in september. A 5h flight. I have a fused vertebrae. They have now seen on the MRI that my nerves are pinched there and are pushing on the dural sack. The level below is also herniated with pressure on the dural sack. I have pain and loss of strength in 3 digits in my dominant hand which was already before the fusion 4 years ago because of a stupid assistant that didn’t believe me. But the loss in strength is getting worse. I can’t cut meat anymore, keep dropping things, fingers cramp up while brushing my teeth and combing my hair. I have a neurostimulator for my lower back and neck which helps a lot. I have another mri on Friday for my lower back because I feel something new is there also. We will be traveling the north of Madagscar for 5 weeks in August, and are very much looking forward! It's our first time in Madagascar and we are not quite sure what the best stops will be for us! We know that we will spend the first 8 days on Nosy Be, and the final week on Saint Marie (as we are avid divers!).
That means that we have 18 days for trips in the North (starting in Ankify). We have a driver for this time, so we are rather flexible! We are very much interested in hiking/nature (with lots of alpine experience), local life, food(!), adventure, things off the beaten path, but also swimming and beaches. I have a network containing of multiple VLANs. In this setup, I have a Mikrotik CCR1009 Router and a WireGuard GW Server (Box).
In VLAN50, the Router has two IP addresses: a VRRP IP of 172.16.50.1 and a VLAN IP of 172.16.50.7. The WireGuard GW Server has the IP 172.16.50.100.
I also have a NAS on VLAN70. In this VLAN, the Router has a VRRP IP of 172.16.70.1 and a VLAN IP of 172.16.70.7. The NAS has the IP 172.16.70.10.
Now, I have a VPN Client connected to the WireGuard GW Server. The WireGuard GW Server has the IP 192.168.99.1 within the VPN, and the VPN Client has the IP 192.168.99.10.
When the VPN Client (192.168.99.10) tries to access the NAS (172.16.70.10), it works, but there is a delay of several seconds to establish the TCP connection. When analyzing with Wireshark, I can see TCP retransmissions.
Interestingly, if I disable the "Drop Invalid" rules on the Forwarding chain of the Mikrotik Router, the delay and TCP retransmissions no longer occur.
Any idea what is causing this?

My contract says we're required to give x weeks notice to book holidays, and should be approved by our line manager. Generally my line manager has been very good, if I say I need to be away from work for a 30 minutes or 1 hour, but will start earlier or finish later, they usually don't have a problem. And most of the time when I have given notice less than x weeks they still have allowed me to take book leave from work.
In 2 days I have a work meeting arranged by my colleague at 8.30am. When the shift starts. The colleague has tried to arrange 2 or 3 times but has had to delay as people could not attend. I haven't asked my managers permission yet, but I asked colleague if they could start an hour later and finish an hour later as I have an out of work appointment. They have rescheduled 2 or 3 times before so they do not want to move later.
Before I ask my manager I just wanted to look for advice on whether I would be allowed to attend the meeting later or not. As its only 2 days away I have a feeling that I cant book as leave from work. If I do ask my manager if I can book at least 1 hour off can they refuse? If I just turn up an hour late and say I will stay an hour late today what will happen? Is there anyway I can be 1 hour later without causing issues? Thanks

My flatmates and my self’s rental property has experienced some recurring water damage (leaks, mould, water seeping through the flooring) since the first Auckland cyclone. Our property manager has organised builders and a rent reduction for a month long period. We were told the rent would be decreased from $950 per week to $890 per week (which we agreed on). However, we’ve lost complete functionality of our laundry room (we’re not allowed to hook the washing machine back up - builders told us not to), a bedroom, and a bathroom. I work for a US-based company and recieve RSUs as part of my compensation package. The company sells a portion of shares each time they vest to cover tax (I believe this is charged as income and includes NI for employer and employee).
When I come to sell these, what additional tax will I have to cover? My company aren't particularly helpful in addressing this question and I've seen mixed things online - I assume cap gains will need to be declared on my next self assessment but I'm not certain how this is calculated. I.e. if I were to sell £10k of shares, will I pay 20% of the £4k that is above the £6k cap gains threshold? Or is the calculation based on the value of the shares when they were granted, vested, exercised etc?

I might be on a completely wrong path here. I'm using FastLED on an ESP32. When I want to stop an running effect, I want to stop immediately. Effects often use delays and I don't want to wait for the delay to end. Therefore, I put all my effects in their own task. When stopping an effect, I delete the task.
FastLED doesn't like this. You cannot stop in the middle of updating the string. Basically, FastLED isn't thread safe. I can use mutexes or semaphores, but is there any method or variable to monitor for releasing the mutex? Or is there?

So I was watching the FPO final round earlier (timezones mean it's better to watch DGN delayed for me), and at the end I realized the podium has four different decades represented, with Sai in her 20's, Kristin in her 30's, Ohn in her 40's and of course Juliana in her 50's. I know it's a totally random take but it's great to see a sport with such a competitive age spread. I'm wondering what the biggest age spread on a pro podium has been? Is this it?

It would seem that should be the ‘easier’ mode to play right?
But whenever I find my self needing to play some Hut-Rush or something, and I’m ashamed to admit this, I set it on Semi-Pro or even Rookie 😳🫣😱 sometimes.
I don’t know but there is something about the cleansess and effectiveness of stuff I can’t handle well. Coupled with that, I think, the game speed is a little bit faster?
I shine in simulation in where I almost always play on superstar. I’m actually worse on Pro because the AI doesn’t do it’s job and leave more work for me. There is no real difference in AI behavior from Allstar to Superstar other than they are more accurate with checks and shots. But that adapts better to a challenge as human shenanigans and more flexible tactics compensates.
