Madea was invited to her great-grandson Timothy's college graduation celebration in Atlanta. She was proud of him for being the first one in the family to get a degree. She decided to bring her cousin Agnes Brown, who was visiting from Ireland, along with her.
At the party, Madea noticed a familiar face among the guests. It was her distant cousin, Lawrence Hardge, who she hadn't seen in years. She remembered him as a shady character who was always involved in some kind of scam or fraud. She wondered what he was doing there.

"Madea, please, don't make a scene. Let's talk about this privately."
"No, let's talk about this publicly. Hey, everybody, listen up! I have an announcement to make. This man here, Lawrence Hardge, is not who he says he is. He's not Timothy's cousin. He's not my cousin. He's not anyone's cousin. He's a crook and a liar and a thief. He came here to try to scam Timothy out of his money with some bogus investment scheme. But I caught him red-handed and I'm not going to let him get away with it. So if you see him around, don't trust him, don't talk to him, and don't give him any money. He's nothing but trouble."
The crowd gasped and murmured as they looked at Lawrence with suspicion and disgust.
Lawrence felt cornered and exposed. He tried to deny Madea's accusations, but no one believed him.
He realized he had no choice but to flee.
He grabbed his coat and ran out of the door, hoping to escape before anyone could stop him.
But he was too late.
Madea was faster than him.
She chased him down the street, waving her purse and shouting at him.
"Come back here, you scoundrel! You can't run from me! I'm going to teach you a lesson you'll never forget! You don't mess with Madea! You don't mess with my family! You don't mess with my money! You hear me? You don't mess with me!"
She caught up with him and hit him with her purse, knocking him to the ground.
She continued to hit him and kick him and curse him, until he begged for mercy.
She finally stopped and stood over him, panting and fuming.
She looked at him with contempt and said,
"That's what you get for trying to scam me and my great-grandson. You're lucky I don't kill you right here and now. But I'm going to let you live, so you can learn from your mistakes. And don't you ever come back here again. And don't you ever try to scam anyone else again. Because if you do, I'll find you and I'll make you wish you were dead. Do you understand me?"
Lawrence nodded, whimpering and sobbing.
Madea spat on him and said,
"Good. Now get out of my sight. And don't let me catch you around here again. Or else."
She turned around and walked back to the party, leaving Lawrence lying on the ground, bruised and battered.
She entered the house and was greeted by applause and cheers from her family and friends.
They praised her for her bravery and wisdom.
They thanked her for saving Timothy from being scammed.
They hugged her and kissed her and told her they loved her.
Madea smiled and said,
"I love y'all too. And I'm sorry for the trouble. But I had to do what I had to do. Nobody messes with my family. Nobody messes with my money. And nobody messes with Madea."

Hello,
This is my first ever post on Reddit and I have nobody to talk to, even if nobody responds I just want to get it out. I'm 31, I recently lost my career in tech (sales), I lost my car due to repossession, I have just been served an eviction notice. I have no money, no savings, and no one to reach out to for help.
My life is in shambles right now, I've been applying for jobs for the past three months and I either get to the last round of interviews and another candidate is chosen or I'm ghosted by the company. I have nothing, I can't even get a loan because of the repo on my credit. I don't even have anybody that could co-sign for me.
I'm down to my last couple hundred dollars. I have no options right now and not saying suicide is an option but those thoughts have crossed my mind. I'm not lazy, I just don't know where to start or how to get out of this situation. I'm applying for 15+ jobs A DAY and haven't landed anything.
I've reached out to help centers in my city but there's not many that help single males. If anybody could help an anyway, that would be great, and even if you read this and don't comment, just say a prayer for me if you believe in a higher power or send positive thoughts my way.

Hi everyone,
I just wanted to give an update on my previous post. I'm so grateful for all the advice and support I received. I really needed to hear those words of encouragement.
I've been working hard to turn my life around. I put my pride to the side and took advantage of the benefits my state had to offer. I also started applying for jobs again, and I'm happy to say that it paid off! I have three offers from tech sales positions, and I'm currently weighing out my options.
Also, I needed a way to get my mind off of my situation and ended up with a startup idea. I've been working on it in my spare time, and I'm currently at the stage of reaching out to investors. I'm really excited about this opportunity, and I'm confident that it will be a success.
I just wanted to say thank you again for all the support, life is worth living and it does turn around, faster than you expect sometimes. Just have to believe and stay focused.

This is my first time going through EDD. I got an orange letter with an appeal notice. I believe it’s just a phone call. Does anyone know what it entails?
For insight the issue they addressed I felt was because of miscommunication. The previous manager would have the delivery driver park their delivery truck in the center lot. Not the lead. The supposed second time wasn’t even the truck to which I made sure to even call if our driver was going to be late after closing. It was a fork lift I thought our asm would used it had taken care of. He claimed too that he would “retrain us to his closing standards” and never did as well He also threw me under the bus to a dm claiming it was my fault the new signs didn’t go up. When he was the one who told me not to do what my main job was and that it wasn’t as important. ( a few lower employees from that time even witnessed it and felt that was unfair he made it my fault though I was prepping before like planned.
He was trying to ask me to demote even though I had work there 4 years. I remember asking if there was anything else I could do because I needed the pay to help my family stay afloat. He told me no.
I even broke my toe on a gate they neglected and still a year later never fixed. (Probably still not even after I left) Still coming to work every day.
I felt we were short staffed too because our previous manager at least had a cashier (that had to stay up front) and a sales floor person to help cover customers and make closing more at ease. It became constant running around. And being at my current part time job is making me realize even more how little help we had juggling everything.
I can answer more questions if needed. But I need insight because the process makes me nervous as this is my first time going through this.

Hello I am a 24M looking for dating advice for my relationship with a 31F who is also a single mother.

I have been dating my gf for 7 months and everything seems to be doing okay.
She left her Ex of 13 years in June and I got divorced from my Ex of 6 years in June we started seeing each other soon after.
I (24M) am a Funeral Director and Embalmer, and gf (31F) works in the chancery court.

We are both from the same small rural town. She moved away after high school to the town the EX lived in and just came back once they split up being a small town my family knew hers and that's how we ended up meeting each other.
I have my own house and 36 acre farm and she has her own house and on our weekends together we either stay at my place or hers.
I have no problem with her having a child he is 3yrs old and when she left the Ex he was still 2 years old. He knows the Ex is his dad and he goes to his dads 3 weekends a month, but he doesn't know that they ever lived together and he thinks moms and dads just don't live together.
On those 3 weekends is when we see each other Thursday night- Sunday evening. I have met all of my girlfriend's family as well as she has met all of mine the only ones of hers I haven't met are the few that live out of state.

The dad recently told her that he had moved on with another girl and they had been seeing each other for a few months and we both had agreed that I wouldn't meet her son until 8 months to a year.
But she is so afraid of her ex finding out about me. (he was very abusive and etc. to her) she finally had the courage to pack up one night and leave.
When we aren't together during the week. We text as much as we can as well as call when she's relaxing and her son is playing. On the weekends we are very much attached at the hip, we are together as much as possible unless I have to go into work then we see each other afterwards.

Everything seems to be going okay I'm just worried the relationship is starting to become stuck and that I wont ever meet her son and our relationship will not move forward. Because she's so worried about the dad finding out about me. He doesn't pay child support like he is supposed to and most weekends especially since he has moved on he leaves her son at the grandmothers or some ones else house till its time to bring him back to my gf.

I don't want to move to quickly in the relationship I just don't want it to become stuck in the same groove forever either.
I was with the same girl for 6 years (3 years dating and 4 years married) she was cheating on me with a guy who she worked with and got pregnant by him that's why we divorced. I am not opposed to having my own children but I'm also open to accepting a stepchild and loving him/her as my own.
I'm just looking for advice on my current relationship and maybe everything is going at a normal pace? maybe I'm worrying to much about it becoming stuck in the same rut? Any help or reassurance would be helpful.

A few years ago when I used to work for the police, I was a 911 dispatcher for 13 years, my job was pretty chill, never got that many calls, but Wednesday 9th November, 1988, is the day I will never forget. It was around 9:45PM, I was 15 minutes away from my shift ending, as I’m packing away my things, the phone rings and I pick up and say my usual, ‘911, what’s your emergency’. All I heard was screaming and shouting through the phone, I was confused, but then it was silent… BANG, a gunshot is fired, I froze then a young male from the call starts speaking telling me his step-dad has went mad and is killing everyone in the house, his sister and father has been shot dead, and his brother has been wounded and himself and his mother are hiding in the closet, I quickly send a dispatch team over to his location and tell him to stay in the closet and keep calm. Again it goes quiet but this time is for longer, then I heard someone say ‘found you, time to die’ and a gunshot, the young male screams and says ‘ why are you shooting your own wife you demented fucker’, I am trying to ask him what’s happening, but then his next words scare me. ‘Stop it Jason Moreham’, I fucking froze so quickly… Jason Moreham is the number 1 serial killer in our town and had been for 22 years, he has murdered 16 people including men, woman and children, he had never been caught until now. I told my dispatch team who it was and they went full code RED. Then the young male hung up. I told my co workers who were there. We waited 25 minutes for a call from our dispatch team. We then found out Jason killed all the people in the house except a barely alive 15 year old girl named Samantha, and then Jason took his own life. It has been 13 years and it still haunts me today about what happened all those years ago.

Hi, I live in the state of Kentucky and back in 2021 I went to a boat dealership and purchased a small fishing boat. When I bought the boat I was given nothing but a bill of sale and was told verbally that the boat had never been registered and had no title. Now yesterday I finally got around to going to the county clerks office to get a title and register the boat. When the clerk looked up the boats VIN number it came back with a registration that expired back in 2011 and the title of the boat had been junked. Was it legal for the dealership to sell me a boat while lying about its previous registration and title status? If so what course of action should I take?

My 2.5 year old wakes constantly in the night crying. Sometimes it is once , last night it was 5 times. We have been working on a night time routine to calm her down, but she often takes a very long time to fall asleep, we're talking like 30 minutes to 2 hours for her to finally fall asleep (with us being there the whole time). But if she falls asleep at 9 (with the laying her down at 830) she will wake up by 11 wailing. We'll get her asleep and if she is in our bed, or her bed, she'll be up again at 1 crying.

Last night I couldnt even get her asleep deep enough at any point to move her to her bed, because she would start sobbing the second she was laid down. It is damaging our own sleep and certainly she isnt getting enough sleep. But we have no idea, our pediatrician just says "some kids struggle to sleep through the night." Naptime in the afternoon is inconsistent and my wife simply cant get the two kids onto a same schedule. Sometimes the toddler just doesnt nap.

We cut off TV at 3 PM. When I get home at 4ish we rough house and chase each other and "Wrestle". Around 6 or 630 we have dinner with her helping me cook. This is followed by more horse play, or sometimes she plays independently. 745 is bath time, followed by her drawing on her pullups and then jammies and teeth brushing, we get her (sadly into our bed to get to sleep) and from there it can take 30 minutes to 3 hours to fall asleep in a dark room, once she is fully asleep I move her to her bed (which is in our room since her nighttime wakeups wake her younger sister up who is 9 months old and almost sleeping through the night).

I have no idea what to do. I've tried singing her to sleep, massaging her, she simply wont fall asleep in her own bed. But it seems even trying to be consistent at night doesn't get her to sleep easy or guarantee a full nights sleep. Has anyone else struggled this much with night time?

Hey, I just wanted to share my story that may out other’s at ease.
27F here. I got a tonsillectomy this month. I was nervous because i heard so many horror stories from people i know personally who had haemorrhaging and infections but honestly it was ok.
I got them out, that day i stayed in hospital. I ate toast and ice cream. Drank lots of cold water and was let home the next day and was told to eat as normal and drink lots of icy water, eat ice cream.
My pain on day 1 and 2 was very mild. Day 3-6 it was about at a 6, i was on oxy and also solpadol. I had a lot of popsicles, drank so so much icy water. Had an ice pack that straps around my head. I tried to keep my oxy for later days i knew it would get worse. I also had a nose spray which helped with breathing as i also had a nose biopsy.
Day 6-9 was the worst pain, scabs were coming off and i could feel it. This is when i drank even more water and ate small bits, but i ate everything not just soft foods from the get go. I also rested a lot during this time, 2 days in bed completely and one day no food at all just water.
Day 10 i woke up as if nothing happened, no more painkillers at all, eating everything, spicy food as well.
Day 11 i started back smoking.
I took solpadol some days just for mild ear pain.
Day 14 and 17 i went on a flight and only my ear hurt on the initial flight, it was very painful but on the flight back i was ok!
Day 21 i drank alcohol, a lot! And danced and i was ok.
Now this may sound bad but i was told by someone in the medical field to avoid hot showers and washing my hair which sounds crazy but apparently it helps avoid getting sick so i just had a luke warm shower 4 days after my surgery and hair was on day 10. Just used dry shampoo plus i was in my house anyway. I used a wet cloth to clean myself until my shower. I didnt smell i was just lying down and stuff but honestly i think it did help. Youre not meant to be in contact with hot water anyway.
Drink lots of icy water, have your bottles on rotation because if the scab is wet it will peel off nicely without bleeding. Also if you’re bleeding a small bit, ice in mouth and ice pack around the sides of your neck to cool down the carotid vein !

After learning Dutch for 6 years (young me was obsessed with the culture) and finally having recently visted the Netherlands I am now seriously considering moving here. I know housing is a disaster, health-care is in a sorry state (Hei paracetamol) and there's a host of other things complained about by expats immigrants and natives alike, but I really felt like the overall attitudes and values of the country align with me, I could see myself being really happy here. My friends with me said I seemed super relaxed and in my element here too.
My one biggest holdup is the social aspect though. I've read numerous accounts from those who moved here saying it is very hard to meet friends and romantic partners for foreigners, everyone makes friends for life in school etc. Some people have said that it's far less of a problem if you speak Dutch, but others say they are fluent and it hasn't made a difference, they are still alone.
It also doesn't allign with my experiences, the Dutch people my age I met were all very friendly and engaging with me and were more than willing to exchange contact info etc.
So I guess I'm just curious to hear what everyone here, native or foreigner, thinks. What has your experience been? Should this be a genuine concern of mine? Is it really that hard to make good friends? To date? I know everyone's experiences are different, but what would your advice be to someone thinking of making the move?

I have not gone outside my house for roughly the past three years due to having a compromised immune system (obesity & vitamin D deficiency) which is no fault of my own.
However, two weeks ago my evil trump-loving grandma forced me to start working at her office two days a week or else she was going to kick me out of her duplex, leaving me homeless.
I’ve had every single available vaccine (Pfizer + Moderna) and am anxiously waiting to receive the next round of boosters (can’t come soon enough).
Additionally, to protect myself and my family, I have been wearing six masks while working at my grandma’s office. Though I am now suffering from ear pain due to the masks pulling at my ears. Has anyone dealt with this or have any advice? Should I switch to only three masks and a face shield + latex gloves when around people? I’m just trying to do my part.

Saw a post about this topic a month ago. And I couldnt help taking the book and re-read it. From my view, I highly believe the anweser is yes.
First, she refused to say where she get those medicines. You may think its the same place she get the foods, at the Gamma house. But its just Darrow's word. There might be a chance that Eo lies to him about this. The reason probaly related to the story of Narol's daughter, she sold herself to a Gamme in order to exchange for medicine for her hunsband, and when the hunsband found out about this, he immediately kill that Gamma guy, which led to the death of him and his wife. Eo might worry about this, due to Darrow's anger.
Second, Eo is pretty in the eye of all men, from Red to Gray. There is a sentence said that all the Gray feel pity for something beauty as her. Also Brigde, a Grey, who interest Eo's mother, that slightly show us Eo might be familiar with that kind of relationship. And she somehow knew that Laurel will not belong to her house, where can she get that information if that was not from a Gray or Gamma.
Last, that girl is a martyr, she could die for her belief, what else can she do?

I am now (17) m and my ex who was my boyfriend at the time is now (18) m. We met online and had an online relationship, personally for me it was going pretty well, but my ex admitted to doing things that were very off, things that are disrespectful to humanity. They let their pet cat do something to them that I will not specify. Because they admitted that they know what cat’s tongues feel like because of it. And that threw me off badly but I tried to believe it was a joke and we stayed together, I was young gay and dumb cut me some slack. And then I admitted to them that I was asexual and he said it was fine and that everything would be okay. And then asked for pics in the next 10 minutes after that. He then admitted after we broke up that he had cheated on me and had been in a relationship the entire time we were together. So I (even though at the time I was a christian) I noticed that I was always interested in witchery and being a witch, so I became one. And hexed him, and I later found out that his house burnt and the cat and other pets that were in the house escaped. To be fair he lived alone with his dad and I do feel kind of bad for the dad, he was and still is very rich so for him it probably wasn’t a bit problem and they were both safe physically and the pets probably found other owners that treated them well, Am i the asshole??
