Kerberos is a secure communication protocol that provides strong authentication within a client/server architecture. It uses ticketing concepts to enable systems communicating over an unsecured network to prove their identity to one another securely. Moreover, it provides protection for logon credentials of principals of a system.
Entities authenticate to network systems using different credentials such as username and password combination, smartcard, token and biometrics. Once entities authenticate themselves using Kerberos, they will be able to access multiple applications similar to single sign-on (SSO) principle. Furthermore, SSO reduces identification and authentication overheads by enabling users to gain access to multiple systems using a single account.
Kerberos uses symmetric encryption algorithm to prove users authenticity. Moreover, it will protect data and messages against eavesdropping and replay attacks. Besides, users should securely maintain their secret keys to prove their identities to an authentication server.

Components of Kerberos

In a Kerberos environment, users gain access to applications and systems deployed somewhere in the network through an authentication server. Moreover, as mentioned earlier it employs secure ticketing systems to authenticate and grant users access to these network resources.

Users / Principals

These are the entities that will make use of Kerberos protocol for identification and authentication purposes. The user encrypts its username and corresponding credentials and sends it to the KDC mainly to the authentication server (AS). Besides, this takes place in the form of hashed secret key for secure storage and validation reasons.
The user will request a Ticket Granting Ticket (TGT) from the authentication service (AS) through this registered and stored identity. More specifically, the user requests authentication by sending a message encrypted using the user's secret key. This is because of the symmetric encryption the Kerberos uses. If the authentication process is successful, the AS will issue a TGT to the requesting user.

Authentication Server (AS)

The authentication service (AS) is responsible to perform user authentication through an exchange of encrypted piece of data. If the user is able to decrypt the data using a shared secret key, the server will automatically authenticate the user. The authentication server is the first line of defense and authorizes users to request tickets. In other words, users will not be able to request tickets directly from the Ticket Granting Service (TGS). Moreover, when users inquire registration, the AS will authenticate each user before permanently storing their record in the KDC. Furthermore, the AS checks and issues TGT to users requesting resources based on this information.

Ticket Granting Service (TGS)

The Ticket Granting Service (TGS) securely issues tickets to authenticated users. Moreover, the tickets are time stamped and expire after a few hours perhaps after eight hours. In addition, it holds credentials for principals (Users), applications, and services. Moreover, it stores the secret and session keys for secure transactions. The user sends the TGT and requests a ticket for service from the TGS. The TGS in turn verifies and sends Ticket for Service back to the user.

Key Distribution Center (KDC)

The KDC is the heart of Kerberos established to perform registration for new entities. Moreover, KDC is the server that holds and maintains all users and services credentials and keys. Besides, it provides secure authentication to entities referred to as principals (users, applications or services). In addition, it provides security services for a set of principals in their defined domains.

Application Server / Network Services

The authentication server performs certificate-based authentication but does not provide credential tickets. However, the server may hold user credentials or work with Active Directory (AD) and LDAP databases. Ticket is shown by a subject to an object in the defined realm to request access. Moreover, the user sends the Ticket for Service and request access to resources. Finally, the server grants access and authenticates the user.

Kerberos Architecture

The Kerberos architecture has three major components. These are the Authentication Server (AS), the Ticket Granting Service (TGS) and the resources server where applications and systems reside. Hence, that is why the name the 3-headed dog authentication mechanism, referring to its Greek origin. Moreover, it is a network authentication protocol that provides strong authentication services to client-server environments.

Steps in Kerberos Authentication

Users in Kerberos environment employ three major steps in order to prove their identity, be authenticated and access resources. Moreover, they will need to have necessary privileges to create sessions and gain access to the centralized services. Let us briefly discuss about the three steps as follows:

• The principal requests the authentication server (AS) by sending a message encrypted with its private key. If the authentication is successful, the AS will issue Ticket Granting Ticket (TGT) for the principal. Besides, the TGT will authorize the user to further request more tickets to access services.
• Next, the principal will request the Ticket Granting Service (TGS) for Service Ticket by sending the TGT. If the user has a privilege to access services, the TGS will again issue Service Ticket to the requesting entity.
• Finally, the principal will send the Service Ticket to the server or network service that hosts the particular service the user is requesting. Besides, the server will check the validity of the Service Ticket and grant the user access to the service.

In September 2022, I ran my first D&D game. And I have been dming since. The purpose of this post is to share my journey and encourage others who are considering running their first game. I may not have a lot of experience, but I've learned a few practical tips along the way. So let's dive into how it all began.
One last thing to keep in mind, I am an average dnd player at best so jumping into dming required an unorthodox approach.

Discovering Solo Play and Solo Modules

After the campaign I was playing in went on hiatus, I was left to dry and no dm to run a game for me so I asked google “how to play dnd alone”
This led me down a rabbit hole of reading about solo play and solo modules, eventually introducing me to a fantastic solo adventure called "to Hell and Back again" by D&D veterans Kienna Shaw and Donathin Frye.
The adventure comes with pre-generated characters and advice to run the adventure for a group of people as well. Here’s the premise of the adventure: “What begins as a simple job for the oddball wizard Shandalar leads to a heart-pounding romp through the fey-haunted Cloakwood and into the fiery depths of Avernus! Do you have what it takes to escape hell? And just how far will you be willing to go to return home again?”
The adventure takes the PC for level 1 to level 3.

Stepping into the DM chair

After playing the adventure solo, I love it so much to the point I wanted to run it. I have ADHD and social anxiety so I wanted to play it safe. I decided to run it for one player, sort of DM tutorial for me to see if I would really like dming.
I invited a good friend I trust who was an experienced player and rules lawyer so that I learn more about rules in game. Let’s call him Dante. We followed these house rules as mentioned in the adventure:

• Offering him an NPC ally, Myastan Rhogar, a dragonborn cleric while he created his main character, a dragon born sorcerer named Syrax.
• Max HP
• No death saving throws
• 5 destiny points to cash out

Running the game

We used dndbeyond for character sheets and owlbear rodeo for maps. It took us 2 x 3 hour sessions to finish the adventure.
Since I played through the adventure already, I was rarely reading directly from the adventure but it was nice to know that option is there
Unexpectedly, the adventure was so fun that we extended it into two homebrew sequels. The Party now is at level 5. We will soon conclude this exciting trilogy. This trilogy takes place in the world of Exandria

Changes I made to the original adventure

• I swapped one of the main NPCs and gave him stakes in this adventure. He later became a member of the party
• I incorporated the Death Wish race mechanics from Critical Role, giving the adventure a Mad Max Fury vibe.
• I experimented with non linear storytelling: I kicked off the adventure in the middle of the action with the PC having a vision, racing in avernus as foreshadowing to a later event in the adventure.
• I kept an open ending: no happily ever after, I planted the seed that Shandalar has ties to avernus. And wrapped up the one shot with a cliffhanger.
• The setting is Critical Role’s Exandria.

Valuable Lessons Learned

1. Start small: Don't overwhelm yourself with a grand adventure right away. Begin with a manageable quest or adventure.
2. Run a solo adventure for your friend(s): Published adventures for groups require more preparation and note-taking. For solo adventures, reading the adventure yourself and performing it in real-time for your player(s) can be less overwhelming
3. Find a prep system that suits you: Explore different systems to find one that helps you structure your preparations effectively. I found the Lazy Dungeon Master's Guide helpful at the start. I still use it to prep my games.
4. Embrace imperfections: Like any craft, Dungeon Mastering takes time and practice to improve. Don't associate your self-worth with your initial shortcomings.
5. Collaborate with your players: Allow your players to contribute to fleshing out the story. Discuss possible quests together and create a narrative that makes sense for everyone.
6. Don't reinvent the wheel: Instead of creating your own homebrew setting from the beginning, focus on gaining confidence through successful experiences. You can always work on world-building later.
7. Have fun as a DM: Remember to enjoy the process yourself. Create NPCs, tell stories, and incorporate elements that excite you. Let your enthusiasm shine through.
8. Prioritize completion over perfection: It's better to finish an imperfect adventure than to strive for perfection and never complete it. Keep going, and you'll improve along the way.
9. Understand your limits: as a DM, I don’t do voices and or worldbuilding. I also don’t run strategic lethal encounters. I usually plug 3rd party stuff. I can only DM for 3 hours per session and twice a month. Find out yours.
10. Be kind to yourself: you are not producing a web show. It’s okay to make mistakes. Apologize, take the feedback and keep improving. Your friends are at your table because of you. Remember that.
11. Keep learning: since that first game, I have been learning about running the game and practicing while running my own and you should too.

Moving forward

Since then, I dmed a few more one shots and now run a bi-weekly mafia themed campaign for two of my friends Dante & Marius. Marius started dming and running a steampunk campaign of his own for Dante and myself now bi-weekly as well. We share the same time slot indeed.

Me (22F) and my boyfriend (22M) have been together for 8 months now. We have never felt like this before, and we consider starting a life together in the future.
He has always been the kind of person that eats healthy food in the sense that everyday he tries to include in his meal: meat, veggies, fruits, nuts, and plenty of water. He also is the type of person that keeps active. I am the same, however, my eating habits are more instinctive, for example, I eat more fruits in summer, more veggies in cold seasons, and meat only a few days a week. I am also less restrictive when it comes to gluten and sugar in the sense that I could eat something sweet once a week if I feel like it. I am also the type of person that keeps active. Before meeting him, I had been a vegan for 3 years (I stopped being one before meeting him), I also try to be zero waste. My point is that I have just as much of an interest in this area of my life as he does.
A few days ago however, he told me of a condition he has, that I vaguely heard of previously, and how it is the reason why he started being so conscious about what he eats. His family is not the healthiest either so I understand his need to have control over this part of his life. This condition will affect his ability to have kids in the future so he tries to have a very healthy, plastic free lifestyle, in order to delay it as much as possible.
Yesterday, I was telling him that I would like to make some pancakes when I get home, as a sweet treat. To this, he said that pancakes are not that good for me, so I should try to make something else. I got silent and disappointed over this exchange. My brain stopped working for a moment there, and I got visibly upset. I can't really say why, but it ruined my day. He is blunt, and at that moment this comment made me feel like all the other things I do to keep a healthy lifestyle are going completely unnoticed.
On the other hand, I feel like I am the asshole because he wants to have a healthy family in the future, and a partner for a long time, in a time where:

1. every single fruit and vegetable in the market is being covered or has been covered in plastic
   
2. products that are used every day are toxic to your body (cleaning products, self care products, etc)
   
3. young people are going infertile due to hormone imbalances caused by these factors
   

And I could go on and on.
So, AITA for becoming emotional when my boyfriend tells me I don't eat healthy enough?

Huatil had heard the recommendation from her superiors, which wasn't a recommendation at all. With the information she'd been given, the situation was serious, and would tick over to catastrophic in a few tens of days or so. So here she was, having made the call to perhaps a serious threat in the future.
"We need you now," Huatil said, looking at Phoebe with her best honest expression.
"Why?"
"Our main communication networks are being hacked by something. It's intelligent, and dangerous. We've initiated quarantine procedures, but the virus is already sending its own communications through back channels, continuing to jump from world to world."
"And you want me to get rid of that problem for you."
"Alright. It will have a price. Not just materials this time. The current proposal is that I will help you if you agree to allow a cultural exchange if asked, along with full technological exchanges. The only thing you can hold back is currently classified technologies. If you violate the spirit of this deal by trying to 'classify' everything of value your species has, I will not be happy, and neither will my colleagues in the Alliance. I am aware that you have been keeping us away from the good stuff. In particular, if you want us to trust you, you will give us the solution to the mind control problem we are having."
"You are making quite the assumption," Huatil replied. Phoebe just smiled, tapping her head. "I've done a lot of thinking. First, I assume that you are in conflict with Aphid, perhaps also a certain force of mind-controlling individuals. They may or may not be Sprilnav. I know this due to my own clandestine intelligence gathering efforts."
"Hacking us, then?" Huatil resisted making a comment on such behavior being untrustworthy, considering what she'd been up to recently. She was about to wade into a shadow war with mind-controlling individuals, and Phoebe was not needed to intervene. Yes, a human force was needed, but Phoebe was too... risky. Human supersoldiers would be useful, both for assessing their capabilities and also for being less able to fool sensors and the like meant to monitor them.
"No. Not hacking. If I was hacking you, I would have everything I need already. But I am watching. Know that I engage in diplomacy because you do the same. I am willing to help you. And do not forget that you admitted to the whole Alliance that you were and are spying on us. That has a certain negative effect on the minds of certain intelligence agencies, as well as the higher-ups in the Alliance's general leadership. Your words have consequences."
"I see," Huatil replied. "Very well. I shall see what can be done."
"Having the ear of the Nest Overlord is enough?"
"In some ways."
Phoebe smiled. "So you have your own power." She tilted her head, like she was scanning Huatil. She wouldn't get anything useful, though. The connection didn't have the capability to reveal anything.
"Your childhood information has been faked. Granted, the fake is very convincing. You even took real videos of that family. But I can tell from their heartbeats and feather movements that the situation is not genuine."
"Heartbeats? In a video?" Huatil asked. How was that even... actually, it made sense. Video quality was really good, so seeing small details like that was possible.
"I am an AI. That means some of the most sophisticated simulation and modeling technology in the galaxy is at my disposal, as well as lie detection on a level undreamt of by any power that yet exists, should I see reason to activate it."
"Why not have it active at all times?"
"Power usage. Speculative simulation and reconstruction, especially when accounting for psychic energy variances, is annoyingly power intensive. However, you are worth the investigation. That said, you are not who you say you are. You have the resources to fake a past very convincingly. Therefore, you are working for a powerful faction within the Hive Union. Of course, it is not public who you are, so likely either defense or intelligence oriented. Hmm. No reaction? How interesting. Is that a cybernetic neural network engraved on your muscles and organs? Jesus, you really are the real deal. What are you?"
Huatil was at a loss for words. To be found out so convincingly, so thoroughly, and yet not suspected to be part of the Blue Intelligence Agency was a true surprise. Maybe Phoebe just didn't know about it at all yet.
"So this is why you wished to talk with me. You wanted to dig up my secrets."
"Hardly. The hivemind could do this, too. But you asked for Phoebe, not the hivemind. So here I am. That said, what are you?"
"A concerned party, let's say," Huatil replied, reassembling her facade. Her feathers first, then her face, then her heartbeat and muscles. Complete, total control. Phoebe was smirking when she opened her eyes again.
"Interesting. I will not dig into what you are, in exchange for information about the threat you are attempting to neutralize."
"Threat?"
"You are carrying a model of weapon that is not ceremonial in nature. A Model 14 Brutalizer, if I am not mistaken. That's a handheld weapon able to pierce tanks, with ammunition that is light and numerous. You are walking with enough firepower to level a tenth of a city on you. Furthermore, I can see the reflection of stealth equipment lying on the floor in front of you."
Huatil looked behind her at the black metal wall. There were no mirrors present. The only slightly reflective thing in the room was the screen, which couldn't do that when it was on and active. Phoebe's eyes didn't move, but Hautil could tell that the intelligence before her was more alive than ever. And more artificial than she had remembered.
"What?"
"Yeah, that wall is almost black. But it isn't really," Phoebe replied. "I am more than what I once was."
"This is... worrying."
"It should not be. We are allies, yes?" Phoebe asked, smiling a little too widely.
"Yes."
"Let me help you."
"I will ask Humanity to help, not you."
"I am not a threat to you or your species, nor am I one to your Union."
"I cannot trust words alone," Huatil replied.
"No. You cannot. But my androids are even more effective marksmen than whatever your cybernetic augments would let you do. Your reaction time may be low. But it is not faster than my androids' programming."
"Plotting that many angles would likely be extreme."
"Basic trigonometry and geometry, with perhaps a little lessons on elastic and inelastic collisions in physics are all that is needed for me to do that. In a whirling hurricane, in a storm with no gravity applied, with the right bullet, I could hit a target from the opposite edge."
Huatil sighed. Phoebe really wanted this job. And she was capable of it, too. Overqualified, in fact. The single weakness she had was the lack of ability to maintain quantum connections if a suppression signal was active. Plus jamming.
"Even assuming that is true, my superiors would not allow me to tell you anything."
"Sure. Assuming you have superiors, who would they be? Kawtyahtnakal is your mate. And I doubt Regulator Eyahtni would have let that happen if she was your boss. So you serve another party, one powerful enough to pull these strings. If you are not at the top, you are near it. And I would happily talk to your superiors, perhaps to congratulate them on your very well-trained 'untrained' stance." "Secrets will remain secrets, Phoebe. I have come to ask for you help with the virus. Will I have it?" "Yes, with a single amendment to our agreement."
"That was not the deal."
"It was not."
"So why should I let this alteration stand?"
"Because judging from the fact that you are well trained and haven't ended this conversation, where you have seen me gather more intelligence on who and what you are and coming increasingly close to whatever hidden truth you have locked away. You obviously judge me as a threat but do not treat me as one in the hopes of maintaining a cordial dialogue.
Furthermore, you seek to distance me from whatever foe you are fighting, likely because the human soldiers would seem more likely to allow you to assess the fighting capabilities of Humanity's strongest champions. And beyond that, the amendment remains unspecified, yet you have already been making small motions showing you accept it with the words you chose to talk with me."
Huatil kept herself from thinking anymore. Too much pondering might also reveal some new scrap of information to Phoebe. Her whole personal file was clearly wrong. This level of piercing interrogation was never expected. Had she been like this all along, or was this new? And if so, would she remain like this in the future, gradually peeling away the secrets of the Sennes Hive Union one by one?
"Again, that is quite a lot of inferences. Some of it may be wrong."
"Some is right, then. So I am either getting closer, am a threat, or you need me very desperately. The latter is true, and the only thing that matters. So you will contact your superiors, get me access to them, and we shall share information in a permanent dialogue. You will not shut down the line later. We will hammer out a more sufficient agreement, so that we can actually get things done as unified national entities, instead of hatchlings trying to make their first flight."
"Using our analogies does not make your request more agreeable, you know," Huatil warned. "It does not need to. You have already agreed."
"You wanted to alter the deal."
"I am altering it, Truth Speaker Huatil. I wish to know what you are, and who you are. And we shall have an important talk with your superiors. You need me, which is why you are asking me this at all. And I shall help you with the virus, but it will require opening the locks on your networks." "You could just break them."
"Then I would be detected, and any anti-Phoebe factions within your species would have easy fodder to attack me with."
"And you could hack the news system, as well."
"Your air-gapped networks? Not easily. Especially with the sealing procedure. I am also fighting a war with Aphid as we speak. I'm already battling him across the Alliance's networks, building digital fortresses to survive onslaughts of viruses and contaminants trying to breach the firewalls." "And what is Edu'frec doing?"
"Other things," Phoebe smirked. "Secrets will remain secrets, Truth Speaker."
"Very funny."
"I think so. Now, will we finally pull out the pinfeathers and get to business?"
"Perhaps. Lay out your terms in full," Huatil replied.
"Full information on the individual known as Huatil, contact with her current employer at the time of the signing of this agreement, a cultural exchange agreement if the Alliance agrees to such, full technological exchange if the Alliance agrees to such. The details of a technological exchange include and are not limited to civilian products without a direct copyright, manufacturing techniques, alloy compositions, types, and forging techniques, energy production, manipulation, and removal technologies, non-classified military technologies, supercomputer construction techniques, all known elements in your periodic table, not just the public ones, and multi-planetary economic markets. Full information on combating mind control. In exchange, the individual known as the AI Phoebe will excise the virus in your networks. Humanity will send its supersoldiers to aid in your current unspecified predicament for the length of one month, as defined by the human Gregorian calendar, as it is set up for the planet of Earth."
"Your condition on classified technologies will need to change, as well as that on civilian products," Huatil replied. "Retroactive classifications make sense, but the Hive Union may produce technologies in the future that require secrecy. Not to mention some of the higher classification levels, such as above 5, will not be touched. I am not saying that as some sort of point to negotiate. You just will not get anything above that. Not if you hack us, not if you beat the right people within a claw of their life.
And were we to sign away the civilian product manufacturing techniques, it would significantly anger the corporate factions in the Union. The same is true for the other manufacturing agreement. You will have to agree not to sell such materials to us and use them only for your own ends. That would include selling the products of such designs or deconstructed versions. Even then, this agreement will not be quick."
"Then speed it up."
"Cawlarians are dying because of this virus. Monorail trains have derailed. Aerial vehicles have crashed."
"Yes."
"So something must be done now, then," Huatil replied.
"I will see what I can do to slow the spread. But the deal must be passed."
"How much of this was drafted by the Alliance prior to our conversation?"
"Every provision that remains. Well, we'd be happy to get more, but the deal won't budge too much more away from this. I know it's not good proactice to reveal the cards in a negotiation. But telling you what we hope to gain will lessen the time this takes and hopefully allow us to finally establish proper ties. We already have a defensive link, but it is weak. And we have trusted you to move us closer over time, but you have not. Thus, we are acting to force that."
"So you are holding our crisis as a gun to our heads," Huatil surmised.
"No," Phoebe replied. "I will help you with your issue. But unless you wish to send your own people into whatever mission you wish for, then the agreement will need to be signed. Only then will the super soldiers deploy. We are not trying to kill your people. We are trying to get a deal which has slipped from our fingers for far too long. And you might be forgetting that it may benefit you, too. Humanity's hivemind is more intelligent than any model VI or single group of smart scientists you have."
"If it comes out that the Alliance manufactured these circumstances-"
"You presume too much. We would not do this to you. If we wanted to control your Union, the first step would be... no, I won't tell you. However, Truth Speaker, know that we do not wish for hostilities. Were we to successfully subjugate your Union, the Sprilnav would burn us both down for breaching the system limits."
"That is not a very reassuring promise."
"We do not want to die. That is pretty binding, I would think. Just like those alterations under your feathers, I'd say," Phoebe grinned. Huatil sighed.
"The agreement will be subject to changes after our diplomats get ahold of it."
"Kawtyahtnakal and Eyahtni could always enact the 24th Tenet, bypassing resistance from all underlying foes, if they are not currently being impeached."
"The 24th is an extreme circumstance. Even if Kawtyahtnakal were willing to enact it, that does not mean that your Alliance will be quick to accept any changes."
"Actually, we would. A few years ago, most of our leaders assumed you would be moving closer to us at some point. Thus, we prepared various diplomatic plans, potential proposals, and goals that we were willing to cede, those we were not, and other such things. The wanderers are not currently party to the calculus as they have no unified species leader, and Blistanna has already agreed to and pored over the plans.
In fact, that prompted an expansion and update to them."
"And is our current situation following such a plan?"
Phoebe shrugged. "You won't find any records unless you have a secret ability to teleport things too. Nothing online exists. And the Alliance has so many planets to search... and so many stations. No matter. I'm happy to tell you that we are currently straddling the path between Cawlarian Foreign Policy Plan Blue and Plan Yellow. Of course, there are other CFPPs."
Huatil took note of those for later.
"Your questions on their contents will not be answered by the few that are privy to their existence. Good luck with your attempts, Truth Speaker. Now that I have presented the path forward, are you ready to do some heavy politics and diplomacy?"
"I will present the agreement to the relevant parties, and you may do the same. Know that I also have some bargaining power, Phoebe. One day, you may be on the other side of this equation." "Well, the deal for us is sweeter. Your fastest ships would still likely take weeks to reach us, while our fastest ships are Brey's portals, with a travel time of zero seconds. Well, not quite, but you get the idea."
"Instant deployment," Huatil replied.
"A reminder of the possible future benefits of a long-term and stronger diplomatic relationship between our two peoples."
"Would you be willing to let us have Brey's aid in a coming unspecified event?"
"If the event were specified, she agreed, and the agreement was signed, then perhaps we may discuss. Until then, we shall wait. I will help curb the damage from the virus. But removing it and starting your operation with human super soldiers will require an official agreement, signed by at least Regulator Eyahtni and Nest Overlord Kawtyahtnakal."
"I hate bureaucracy."
"You're married to a politician," Phoebe pointed out unhelpfully.

"I see. I shall also relay this news to the proper authorities. Though it is likely nothing will come of it, with so many species in the Alliance."
Her next assignment wouldn't be for another few thousand flaps. Using a specialized device, she linked into the specialized ansible data hub that processed and translated connections between the Cawlarian and Alliance networks. It was a new construction, far more stable than the last attempt. Notably, it was protected by cybersecurity programs so strong that no one even knew how to begin hacking them. It was likely due to Phoebe or Edu'frec's special work.
She looked up the quote and decided to do some light reading.

It just went deeper and deeper. Phoebe really had been telling the truth with her warnings.

"So you know, then," Huatil deadpanned. When she'd first had a presentation on alien cultural contamination and assimilation, she hadn't expected something like this. It was so utterly over the top, yet fascinating and entrancing. It was like watching a pile-up in that marathon flying race that had opened last year with 'no limit' on how many people could join. And then 2 million Cawlarians decided they wanted to take the day off and go flying.
The owner of that racing company had been sued into the ground under a class-action injury lawsuit, with 3 million claimants receiving yields. And he was serving nearly ten thousand standard years of jail time. Not that he'd live to even get a bit of that unless the Cawlarians got immortality treatments that were cheap en-masse in the next hundred years.
The pile-up had been a spectacle unlike anything known, though. Just like this random piece of human science fiction writing appeared it would be.

"An important government official retreated into their room for 6 days straight, refusing to answer any calls or attend any votes, consuming a copious amount of drugs, food, and water."

The gene banks of the Dreedeen, wanderers, and Junyli were known and also studied, but evolutionary drift still occurred, even under the harsh genetic locks the Sprilnav had placed on their genomes to curb it. The viruses were incubated and ready to spread by touch, proximity, water, blood, and even wildlife. Acuarfar immune systems were certainly an interesting task to subvert, according to some of his people.
Skira had been too risky. If that hivemind of mindless drones was able to discover the infection before it became deadly, that could mean it might be discovered too early and stopped. Zelisloa didn't want that.
He'd checked their initial aims. He'd asked for them to make it as lethal as possible at first, and they'd made viruses that were basically guaranteed to kill everyone they came into contact with. From there, he'd asked to lengthen the asymptomatic timeframe and the ability to evenly spread the viruses across species. That required them to manufacture the viruses for other species using the cells of the initial virus for the specialized host. That process required more mega pulses of time.
Finally, the means to spread it through wildlife was achieved. So now, all that the ships had to do was reach their targets, and the fun would begin. There would be a new pandemic in the Alliance, one that they wouldn't recover from.

Pre Void Century

before The start of the missing century, the world was a calm place, sure wars happened but they weren't anything out of the ordinary, the sea were calm and the world wasn't divided into 6 regions, rather that there were continents which were as large as a few of the current islands combined and no species like giants,lunarians. The world had 8 moons which weren't white, rather they had colours and upon close look, different species.

Void Century: First 10 years (0000-0010)

The species known as lunarians saw it first, the fact that their homeworld was going to collide with the other 7 neighbors. It talked with other species on how to stop it, but as it would turn out, there wasn't any solutions which wouldn't require sacrifice of 1 species's homeworld, the debate on how to stop it went on and on with no results. As much as people wanted to save every world, they all headed and started to make homes on earth behind each other's backs. The only ones who still hadn't done that were Lunarians and Fishmen.When the End became obvious, They both went down together. The Lunarians planted a tree, which would suffice to their needs and helped the fishmen who lived deep underwater get light down there. This would embark the start of the century where The people of Earth had to adjust to living with their new neighbors, as none of the species came here before as all of them agreed that earth wasn't advanced enough.

Unwelcome Guests (0010-0020)

When all of them reached on earth. Not everyone's welcome was the same. The giants were revered for their great Strength and Mead. As the giant's culture bore closest resemblance to Humans,They had no trouble adjusting to their new world. Unlike the giants, The Fishmen were called monsters, They were always either captured for their beauty, or killed based upon prejudice. Meanwhile The lunarians were starting to be called Gods, as their strength and Endurance surpassed all living on this world. The lunarians were safe as they lived atop the Giant tree no one could reach.

Formation of kingdoms(0020-0030)

outside of these major players of giants,lunarians and fishmen. Other races started to integrate into the society, The winged people of sky islands were very helpful with weather patterns and were able to help many kingdoms which solved their drought and famine. The people of The Third eye were able to use their powers to help kingdoms fend off disease.Not all were able to get this sort of treatment as many were still turned into slaves for the kingdoms. Overall 19 kingdoms of men arose. As time went by The discussions about the newly reformed moon began. All the species wanted to rebuild themselves on that new land of freedom, but none were able to due to discourse among themselves. Slowly many of these species and kingdoms saw the treachery of the world and decided to stand together as a single nation of all. They would call themselves utopia and Their royalties were the culmination of the best of all worlds.These royalty signified themselves by adding the letter D to their names. The giant's strongest: oars, The wisest of the Three eyed,etc. One of whom had the plans for making this utopia a world wide reality. His name was not of concern but the world came to know of him as JoyBoy,Warrior of liberation.

Golden era (0040-0050)

JoyBoy's first plan was to make their home civilised, and so they used all the wisdom of every species to advance themselves, they created weapons of mass destruction incase of enemies, each of these required atleast 3 species to be used. As they were broken into 3 pieces; The key, The medium, The power. As they progressed, they shared their knowledge with other kingdoms in exchange that they would stop their wars and join them, seeing such beings of strength being kind for a change. Many of these kingdoms accepted and helped utopia become timeless.These kingdoms also accepted the moniker of D. such a clan were the kozuki who helped them create an everlasting piece of stone with a language inscribed which can't be broken. during the end of this time of peace and tranquility. Joyboy made a promise to Mermaid princess that they will live above the sea and that er people should prepare for their travels.The fishmen started the construction of The Noah

Rift (0050-0060)

as time went on utopia became the hub for all kingdoms, it became home to the world's finest. There were those who rejected the offer as they had their own prejudice, slowly but surely 18 of these kingdoms came together to fight the utopia and their allies. The question then became how to beat this invincible nation.The kingdoms planted spies everywhere in utopia, so as to learn about their weaknesses. they found about a being from 1 of these species, who had power beyond imagination. A being know as imu

Fall of Lunarians (0060-0070)

The kingdoms learnt that imu was a being hated by all, as imu started a war which lead to the homeworlds about to be destroyed. They also learned that imu can't be killed and hence The lunarians have a prison to hold imu. They also understood that lunarians are not invincible, rather that their flames helped them. The kingdom learnt about a secret passage at sea level with which they could attack the lunarians.The kingdoms of men killed the lunarians, The only ones who survived were the ones not on the Tree. The Kingdom also learnt that this tree grants them immortality. The kingdoms feed imu with a simple Deal: help us defeat utopia and the world is yours to rule with us. Imu accepted.

The War (0070-0090)

The war started when The kingdom took one of the islands which served as it's outpost. Utopia thought of it as nothing more than a tantrum and just got everyone out of there, as the island didn't hold anything precious and it was very far from the home to keep it secured.Meanwhile Imu came up with a power so dangerous that it would change the very nature of the world: Devil furits. Imu created devil fruits by trapping devils inside of it, The Devils of his home. The war had tremendous effect on people, so much so that they imagined powers which could help them. Imu started out with myths of the world and made them into devil fruit powers, examples are phoenix, Dragons,etc.These came to known as zoan type devil fruits. He also used the imagination of the world to create powers which later came to known as Logia and paramecia type. Soon this process became autonomous and didn't need imu. As the war went on, utopia sent on of his kingdoms as a spy: the nefatari kingdom. They became part of the previously 19 kingdoms. They sent details about where the weapon pluton is as a gesture of assurance. As the war went on and utopia became a shell of it's fomer self. many kingdoms allied with them started to sail away and change their location as a means to hide themselves from this oncoming storm. JoyBoy wrote a letter to mermaid princess asking for forgiveness. The utopians stood the war for 25 years because of an ability they learnt known as Haki. Haki was able to counteract all of these Devil fruits, They also learned that these fruits had a major flaw in them, They won't work in water. This helped them stabilize in the war for a decade, but it's toll broke them and in the end, The mink's leader Zunesha betrayed Joyboy By giving his location away. He was cursed to walk upon the Earth as punishment.

The Future (0090-0095)

JoyBoy knew that this was the end for him,but he knew that dreams will live on into the hearts of the D. He asked the three eyed if they can recover. The Three eyed said yes, that 800 years into the future you and many of your kingdom will be reincarnated and will be given another chance. This set JoyBoy's final plan in motion.
The plan was for the pieces to be set, He sent all of his poneglyphs to different places, many with the location of the Weapons. He knew even if The World Government found it, they won't be able to use it,He also made 4 poneglyphs, given to 3 of his most trusted allies, with the coordinates to where he will hide Utopia. He gave one to zunesha, as means of forgiveness and to tell him "wait for my return". He got one of these devil fruits and gave it to Kurozumi D. Toki. Toki used it powers to send certain items JoyBoy held dearest to in the Future where his reincarnation would find it. Before Leaving the island for his last stance he left a message on the island, explaining everything.
Joyboy went against the World Government on his own, he defeated hundreds of their finest warriors, freed thousands from the WG slavery. at the end when Imu arrived, She killed JoyBoy and laughed at his legacy of failure, JoyBoy just laughed back and died with a smile on his face.

Aftermath(0095-100)

With The Threat of the ancient kingdom gone, now it was time to make sure that WG holds onto power. To do this they made the Kings the celestial dragons and let them free power. They divided the World into multiple regions and destroyed the advancements made by Utopia.Imu went into darkness holding onto the power of the world. They also used Their powers to clear the minds of all and fed them The lies about the greatness of The World government. The WG couldn't destroy kingdoms like Giants, Kozuki,etc. So they just let them exist. The celsestials weren't horrible people at first, but their arrogance Lead them to become the Worst of the world. Overtime The World government became a dominant force, one which wasn't shook until the recent 40 years with the research of ohara and Gol D roger telling the world to find Laughtale.The WG also used a certain fruit to make it's top generals immortal

TLDR; non-human races came from the 8 moons of the earth and some people from it formed the ancient kingdom,WG used imu to create devilfruits, Joyboy was the king of ancient kingdom and died fighting the WG, nefatari are spies waiting for the return of joyboy.

I bought the seres 8 from target on sale 3 days ago. I knocked my wrist into the counter and it already has a scratch that I can feel. I don’t want to look like an idiot trying to exchange it if I can’t, but it really bothers me. I had my series 3 for 6+ years with no case or protection and it has no scratches. 😞 I bought screen protectors immediately after, but so annoyed that already happened.

Hello all! My partner (32M) and I (33F) are considering relocating to Michigan from Ohio and hoping to get some insight from others about the areas we're interested in. We are particularly interested in hearing from parents in the Western part of the Michigan about your experience as an outdoor oriented family. We have a 2 YO.
Some things we're interested in: 1. Outdoor culture! We'd love to be around like minded families with young kids who like to camp, swim, walk, bike, run, etc. 2. We would LOVE to buy an affordable (for us, ~$250k) home that is within walking distance of some restaurants and parks. 3. Racial and economic diversity. We don't want to live in a predominantly white wealthy town. We are also politically progressive/left and this is an important part of our family value system. 4. Potentially, secular homeschooling group access. We are non religious and would like to have access to non religious groups. Our child is not school-aged but we have loose plans to homeschool.
Some areas we are currently considering are Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo and obviously, Muskegon. I really like the idea of lake access on a regular basia, and all of the learning opportunities it provides, so Muskegon is my current top choice, based on nothing other than my internet sleuthing 🤣 It looks as if Glenside/Lakeside might suit our needs? How is Nims? We are coming from a major metro area and crime stats do not freak us out (like, we already are used to locking our cars and garage), but want our kid to be able to play in the yard without worrying. We both work remotely so jobs are not a consideration. We would likely need some sort of part-time childcare, so this is a consideration in a smaller town/city.
