Disgruntled North Koreans are lashing out against police corruption by openly protesting against them and in some cases beating officers, according to a local government official who saw a secret document detailing the cases.
"Not long ago, I came across a secret document containing surprising information. Between July and December of last year, dozens of incidents of people protesting against the tyranny of police, or even extracting revenge by beating them up have occurred here in Ryanggang province," an administrative official in the northern province told Radio Free Asia on condition of anonymity for security reasons.

In another incident, in the city of Hyesan, an officer stopped a driver and demanded gasoline and cash when the driver did not have the sufficient documents for driving on hand.

Life is super heavy. I feel it a lot of the time. Every day and every thing is generally held up against the giant mystery of life, which can make basic things like going to work a very cosmic task. I used to think my insane behavior was a game, and I pressed play on the controller and dove in. Now years later at age 36 I'm wrought with anxiety and a mind that is so busy I can barely sleep without assistance.
Only in the past year did I finally get myself to seriously consider that I could have behavioral patterns that are in alignment with ADHD. But I'm hesitant and a little afraid to seek a proper diagnosis because I feel like they'll think I'm just seeking drugs. I'm still planning to move forward with reaching out to someone regardless...
Anyways: seeing these memes and a lot of the humorous videos helps me feel a sense of freedom and levity... being able to relate to something I've never related to before. I guess I never thought there were other people who managed these crazy mental states. Hysteria. Fixation. Avoidance. Compulsory behavior. Anxiety.

I'm (31M) at a bit of a crossroads and looking for some experienced nomads and travellers for guidance.
I've been in Asia for the last 3 months, doing some work but not a ton. Gave myself the space to explore as it's a bit of a freedom/personal development tour combined with some remote work. It's been great!
Here's where I am at. I'm flying to attend a music festival in Dhermi, Albania next week.
After that, I don't really know what to do, but I do know that I'm tired of moving around and want to settle into a routine and rhythm again in one city for a period of time. I love the gym, MMA, eating healthy but also enjoy going out at night for some house/techno and casually dating. The time zone in Europe is much better for me and I know I could work afternoon and early evening.
Part of me is craving some familiarity (and friends) and to go back home to Canada, where I'd have no housing cost for a few months and could get back into a work/gym/life groove and enjoy the best months of the year there. I was contemplating doing the upcoming winter in Mexico or Colombia.
Part of me is also thinking that a summer in Europe could be amazing, but I'm feeling a little budget conscious from the past 3 months of reduced income. So if I stay, I want to be somewhere affordable, yet still a great time when not working (which I know is everyone's dream). Bonus points if nature is accessible. I'm currently in BKK and the concrete jungle gets old quick.
I was considering Bucharest, Budapest, Tbilisi, and Istanbul.
Any suggestions on any European cities that might be a good fit for me? Or does the free housing in Canada sound like a good idea for me to consider?

With the Reddit changes I'm starting to look at alternatives. I'm not at the point of completely switching over yet, but I'm dipping my toes into alternatives.

Due to this, some of us are starting to look for alternatives with promise. No one has the userbase of Reddit yet, but I'm looking for landing spaces for those who may be looking elsewhere.

Recently I was timed out in the avatartrading discord by a mod who has had a very clear vendetta against me for an extended period of time. Since then i've brought it up though their modmail system to be met with hostility and a refusal to look into the issue itself.
Please feel free to correct me if you think I am in the wrong here but I feel like this is 1, is nowhere near a punishable offense for a discord that has worse things said on the daily. 2, is a very clearly biased action taken against me. And 3, not what a healthy discord mod team looks like.
Attached are a screenshot of the of the message I was timed out for in context and an Imgur link with all the modmail interactions attached.
These actions by the mod team frighten me for the future of these Reddit avatars where people can be timed out and turned away for messages as simple as this. I still have faith in the RCA project as a whole but being a Gen 3 Onboardee leaves an especially sour tastes in my mouth that this is how issues are dealth with in a discord representing a sub with over 20k members.

Best way I could describe it: a website that only hosts ask me anything sessions like the Reddit ama or ask.fm. looking for something short, one or two words something clever and something that demonstrates it's for social media purposes not a service based business

My name is Peyton and I am a full-time professional dungeon master. My focus is player-built worlds. This means session 0s are long sessions where a player can control the aspects of the world around their characters' origins. All way down to your families now - back up to the name, government, and style of the nation that they are from. It is a team collaboration from the ground up. For players joining in games that are already in progress, you will have the same options the original players did as long as you don't overwrite what has already been written into the canon. I currently DM 7 games with 24 players combined with some even opting to play in several games. We have a tight nit community of players, many of which date back years.

About My Games

Tuesday (Untitled Game) 8 PM EST 5 Player Slots Avalible This game is brand new. As a result we will go through a session zero where the players get heavy say over the setting of the game before we ever get into playing the game. The players can design as much as they want before I get started.

Group Rules

1. Be kind to one another.
2. We will play as long as 75% or more of the group is present
3. You don't play - you don't pay.
4. Respect each other's time - and don't be late.
5. Three strikes of any rules and you will be removed and blacklisted from all future games.

Services I Offer

1. I do this full time so I am always home to answer questions.
2. I will be in the Discord server starting 1 hour before the game start time.
3. I am a trained graphic design artist so I will be designing both world and battle maps - as well as letters, emblems, and other handouts custom for each game.
4. I will run optional 1-on-1 sessions leading into the campaign for a standard fee. These can also be done for everyone during time skips during the campaign.
5. Sessions will be 4-5 hours
6. 1-on-1 Sessions will be 2-3 hours (paid at $15 USD dollars a session.)
7. Server Boosted Discord Server for better audio/video quality.
8. Games are streamed and uploaded for future rewatching.

Character Creation Rules

1. No character can be more than 2 classes.
2. All rules may flex for the player's benefit. If you would like to bend or break a rule, please let me know.
3. Most games will start between levels one to three unless stated otherwise.
4. Stat generation will be one of several systems.
5. Extended Array - 20, 16, 13, 10, 8, 5
6. Roll for stats - 4d6 drop the lowest. (Lots of different tweaks to this system)
7. Standard Array - 15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8
8. No custom subclasses.
9. No custom classes except the following.
10. Blood hunter by Matt Mercer
11. Gunslinger by Matt Mercer
12. Lingering Soul by Matt Mercer
13. Illrigger by MCDM
14. Pugilist by Benjamin Huffman
15. Spell Casting Modifiers can be changed to any stat. This includes core die for certain martial classes. (i.e. Monk can change the base dice off Wisdom)
16. Everyone gets a free level one feat.
17. Variant Human is banned.
18. Feats must be either 5e or ONED&D official
19. The following list of feats have been banned.
20. Elven Accuracy
21. Gunner
22. Backgrounds can be anything and do not have to be logical for your backstory.
23. Everyone starts with 50 gold. No more. No less.
24. Starting Equipment. (No starting wealth)
25. We always roll for HP. The minimum roll is a 2, you will never get a 1.

How I Run the Game

• I tend to think very logically about everything.
• The difference between Perception and Investigation checks is the difference between how specific you are about looking for something. If you are looking for a person in a crowd for example - it's an investigation. If you are just looking for anything in the crowd - it's perception.
• I will use Insight checks to help your PC piece things together if needed.
• We use Discord for Voice (and video which is optional) while using roll20 for the game.
• By default, I don't track spell components unless they have gold value.
• By default, I don't track ammunition, food, or weight (within reason)
• I use Matt Mercer's resurrection rules.
• By default, I do not include homebrew rules other than what is listed above - but some games do have some.
• We are in the process of integrating and trying out the new ONED&D Rules

How Players Impact My Games.

Once a starting group is found we push forward into session 0. This is not your normal session 0. It will be the length of a normal game not just be about making characters. We will first state by asking questions about the settings so the players control the overall theme of the setting. Then we start looking at characters and after that, we talk about any rule changes we want to make for our game. The players also get to make choices about the area they come from so they are more intertwined and natural. Then I finish the setting based on this feedback. Below is a list of questions players should be prepared to answer for this session 0.What time period are we playing in?What level of magic is available in the setting?What level of science is available in the setting?What is the economy like?What is the government like?Do the other planes exist?Many other questions will be asked that may only become relevant depending on what the answers before that are. This is what makes my games special and I hope you would consider joining us.
