Hi! This is my first post on reddit and I have a situation that I was hoping to get some perspective on :) I'm sorry this is so long, I feel like I added too much context. Thank you if you read all of it!
I'm a 19yr old graphic design major, and I currently love my job as a graphic designer for my college's student government. I am also active in a sorority, and was elected to an executive position that oversees all social media and marketing for the entire sorority community/recruitment at my school. The Fraternity-Sorority professional staff really like my work, and they just offered me a job as their Marketing Student Assistant to do all their social media and marketing materials.
I'm really considering taking this job. It would be really really fun, I would get a lot of design freedom, and I also love marketing/organizing/management. I think I could make it a really good portfolio project too. On the other hand, staying at my current role would give me a shot at becoming the lead designer in a couple semesters, and I get to design for really big events. I want so badly to do both!
If people were looking at my resume, and it said that I quit being a "Student Government Graphic Designer" to be a "Fraternity-Sorority Life Marketing Student Assistant", or honestly if I put any greek life/sororities experience, would that count against me? What would recruiters and hiring managers think? I know keeping my old job is better for my resume, but I would be way more passionate/have more fun with the new one, so I just want to know what would happen if I took it.
I also want to be competitive for internships with big companies, and I'm worried changing jobs could ruin my chances. I'm very aware of what people think of frats/sororities. I personally feel way safer inside the greek community than anywhere outside of it, but I don't expect anyone else to think that way.
Anyways this is a really good problem to have, and I'm thankful for it haha! I have a meeting with a career counselor on Monday, but I will be stressing over this all weekend so if I could get some additional professional advice that would be great :) I think it's a unique problem because no one talks about greek life + art majors, so I'm super appreciative of anyone who lets me know what they think!

I failed 1st year, basically i was inelligible to write the university examinations for anatomy, and had to write remidial examinations for physiology and biochemistry to increase my internal marks to become elligible for the university examinations.
After hearing that i was inelligible to write anatomy. i was completely crushed. i thought i felt depressed before but now, i felt beyond crushed. So crushed to the point, i was barely able to concentrate fully on physiology and biochemistry universities and I ended up failing both.
I prepared for a month to give supplimentary examinations for all three subjects but at that point i was beyond burnt out. It didn't help that my family was treating me like my world had ended because I already felt that way (my family is made up of non doctors, im the first doctor in my family). Returned to my college to write the exams but the night before all of these exams, i couldn't will myself to study last minute, that's how mentally shot i was. I would spend the entire previous day before the most important exam of my career sleeping the entire day out of my depression and waking up at 11pm to start studying throughout the night until the exam, and repeat the cycle. until the exams were over.
I ended up failing anatomy by 4 marks and biochemistry by 12.
its the lowest i've ever felt in my life. you see, i've hit many low points in my life, i've always had a terrible relationship with my abusive father, i take therapy for that. he spent all the time until i recieved the results telling me he'd always support me and whatever comes comes. and the moment he found out i failed he fully abandoned me and disowned me (this isnt the first time he's done that). so on top of feeling like the worlds biggest failure for sitting with my junior batch, watching my friends go ahead of me, it feels like rubbing salt into my biggest wounds for the next five years all thanks to a stupid exam.
Clubs refuse to recruit me despite the fact that i'm pretty good at giving interviews and have pretty great skills, my friends (atleast not my closest ones) but ones i thought i had good relations with stopped looking at me properly or coming and saying hello.
Its been a month since i rejoined 1st year, and well thankfully thanks to covid, the batch i've joined is only lagging by 6 months compared to my previous batch. so by december i'll be in 2nd year, when my batch started 2nd year in february.
its just hard to get by everyday and fight how terrible i feel and still show up to class. its impossibly hard to not feel like the most depressed af person in the universe right now

I've seen others with amazing scores and extracurriculars on here. I burnt out for a pretty long period of time and didn't amount to too much unfortunately (picking myself back up right now).
Just want to know my chances at universities that are t50 or even t100 in CS majors with my stats (recognizable univsities that can lead to a good job out of college). And if I can possibly land CS/game dev related internships with companies.
Edit: Also tuition is something I have to worry about, so how many t100 may offer merit/need based aid that could potentially full ride? Still looking into this type of stuff so not too sure about how likely myself.
What should I focus on more this summer and during senior year, or is it too late.

I (22M) just graduated college with a finance degree. I had an ok GPA (3.05) and had some work experience as an assistant at the financial services department at my school. However I am finding it very difficult to land a job even with the help of recruiters, connections from LinkedIn and over 100 applications sent. I am getting very discouraged because one of my roommates is close to landing a remote job even though he has much less experience than me and he hasn’t even graduated yet. I feel like shit. This job hunt has really taken a toll on my mental health and it sorta makes me feel unworthy of a decent job making a decent living. I am thinking of maybe going a different route, maybe marketing or recruiting to see if I get any luck there. I fear that I won’t be able to switch my career path back to finance if I land one of these roles which is sad because I have a lot of passion for finance. Is there any advice or other people going through the same shit? tl;dr: I’ve applied to several entry level finance jobs with no luck. I am looking at other business related jobs but I fear I won’t be able to switch back to business if I get one of these jobs. Any advice?
