As per the title. I had a five hour debate with my roommate about how Tears of the Kingdom Link would do against every other named character in the series... At once. I wanted to get Reddit's (admittedly sometimes dubious) wisdom on the matter. For reference, I think he would lose, or at the very least he would have an uphill battle, while my rommate thinks he has it in the bag without a serious tactical disadvantage.

Rules:
This is every other character with a name. "Lynel" does not count as a name, but every incarnation of Link counts seperately, so we'll see the Hero of Time, Hero of Wind, Hero of Twilight, ect. Each individual is counted once, at their strongest (all items for links, ect)
No puzzle bosses. It's not fair to include enemies that are immune to damage most of the time, since that's generally at odds with how Tears of the Kingdom combat works.
Each side has half an hour to prepare, and they're sent to an empty but varied terrain with cover and the like, taking anything they've managed to grab with them. This is mostly relevant for zonai devices and characters like Purah who are pretty useless if they can't grab something ahead of time.
Tears of the Kingdom link is very well stocked. He has hundreds of every common material, and several each of even the rarest ones. Fully maxxed armor and so on. Eight fairies, which I believe is the maximum you can get at once. We'll say that he has several 30 minute attack up +3 meals, and a bunch of endurance meals (most of his healing could easily come from inhaling apples or whatever, while stamina recovery can't come from anything but meals).
Tears of the Kingdom link has his cannon level of skill (aka, probably higher than any human can play him at), and all intended game mechanics are representative of his capabilities, though glitches are obviously out. He can switch armor sets instantly, heal instantly, and much more.
Link does not have champion abilities.

Arguments in favor of Link winning:
Link's unbeatable defense. With Champion's Tunic, Zonai Greaves, and Mystic headdress, Link has all incoming damage reduced by 75, with no floor (ie, he doesn't even take 1 damage). For reference, this is almost enough to one-shot a typical Link with 80 hit points. He also has a bunch of fairies, one-shot protection, and the ability to inhale 80 apples instantly to heal up.
His unstoppable offense. Even without critting, a single shot from a bow can deal almost a thousand damage (5-shot savage lynel bow, gibdo bone, bone proficiency, attack up). I realize that using damage as a benchmark feels cheap, but otherwise I'd have to use Divine Beasts slicing holes through mountains as a benchmark, and I don't want to stoop to the level of a Dragon Ball Z fan.
His ludicrous skill. When monsters first started showing up, he fought a horde of monsters that included multiple Lynels, and only took a single wound the entire fight. He can clearly track and respond to a large number of major and minor threats, and he's 100%-ed his way across Hyrule twice, had 3-7 years of training between botw and totk.
Link has pretty crazy mobility too. There are a LOT of ways to move around, and almost all of them are intended mechanics. Even just including the ones that can be done almost instantly, you have pepper updrafts, rocket shield, wing shield, paraglider and much more. He can keep away from slower opponents while either engaging faster ones or getting at a good range and engaging in hit and run tactics.
Recall can deflect projectiles (it freezes time when activated so tracking a moving object isn't an issue). And that's not counting that things like ice arrows can be avoided with freeze-proof armor and the like.
Even assuming fast-travelling to shrines isn't an option, he can place up to three travel medallions to fast travel away if he's under too much pressure.
If he has a 21-part orbital cannon set up and ready to go at the start, it'll have 18 beam emitters swinging around wildly, doing massive crowd control and heavy damage.
Link is canonically pure in heart. Rauru's orbital cannon would not affect him, since it 'dispels evil'.
Most importantly: What happens when Link get a secret stone? Based on the description we get in the memories, a secret stone seems to pick a single supernatural ability the bearer possesses, and greatly enhances that ability. And Link's generally accepted ability is... Bullet time. If he could say, keep it up constantly (with a stamina cost, of course), he'd be basically unstoppable; way too fast for anyone to hit, and able to dismantle anyone in an instant. With 50 stamina foods that each restore 5 wheels of stamina, I don't see time being an issue. This would probably not be anticipated, since Rauru never even thought of giving a secret stone to Link, their main guy; he clearly thought Link had no powers.

As for arguments against Link winning:
There aren't as many here, but the first big one is that Link would be overwhelmed. Sure, Link can pay attention to a couple Lynels and a bunch of Bokoblins, and he's probably a bit better now, but he's up against a LOT of opponents, including the Prime Demon King, who's much stronger than the one you fight at the end of the game. Throw in a whole bunch of bosses, Ganons, Links, Zeldas, sages, and more into the mix, and that's too much for him to track effectively.
I can think of three Links that can give themselves temporary invulnerability. The Hero of Twilight with rupee armor, the Hero of Wind, also with Rupee armor (though it doesn't last nearly as long), and the Hero of Time with Nayru's Love. The only thing the Hero of the Wild can do to these three is to knock them around with bomb arrows, and all of them have at least potential ways to ragdoll Link, which leads onto my next point:
Stunlocking. Links are unscrupulous and won't hesitate to get the Hero of the Wild in a constant loop of bombs, gale boomerangs, and other knockback effects. If Demon King Gannon is still around, he can eat up all of Link's hearts and make it a GG.
Purah has the de-aging rune, and she can shoot it at Link (it's literally light). Granted it doesn't take effect immediately, but it does make the target very tired. Purah isn't exactly an athelete, and she was able to make it to bed despite being 120 at the time, so this would probably only be a nuisance for Link.
Me and my roommate had an argument over who gets each piece of the Triforce, since we're not going to have a bunch of copies . We agreed on the most capable version of each character getting their piece. The Triforce of courage is mostly a plot buff (it never has a mechanical effect when Link gets it), the Triforce of Wisdom seems to mostly give Zelda some cool magic that probably won't matter, and the Triforce of Power is going to.... Prime Demon Gannon, which means he'd probably be super resistant to anything but the master sword, light arrows, or something similar, making him another major threat Link has trouble taking on with other distractions. You can certainly argue that he'd be immune to anything that isn't Master Sword or equivalent, but I'll go with Demon Dragon's insane resistance as a baseline.

I can’t seem to feel any emotion except for hurt and anger. I blocked my husband tonight on my phone because I couldn’t take it anymore. Every time I talk to him, it’s just always talking to him about his work and then me being tired. Just once I want some motivation and effort coming from him. I started snapping so easily now because things were supposed to change but he doesn’t learn that even if you move, everything follows you because it’s YOU who needs to change.
Why do I have to always be the happy one or the one excited for planning family time or the only one interested in talking to OUR kids. He claims it’s because he is upset with himself about not being able to provide more for us but he still has been working the same job for years with an even worse schedule after moving to a new state.
Now he accepted to go help his company in another state (to try to make more money by working overtime) while I’m alone working on my degree with 3 kids in an apartment we have to move out of very soon. This very place stresses me out to no end because the walls are thin so I try to keep the kids from well, being kids, every second. He keeps saying things will work out but it took over 7 months to find a place when we moved states and I ended up having to find a place because I couldn’t take it any longer. How do you trust someone who doesn’t know how to take care his family. Since we weren’t on the literal STREET, everything is fine? Thank goodness for credit cards I guess.
I’m going to keep trying, I’m going to keep focusing on myself and the kids. i cant let them suffer. I regret that I let him get away with leaving me by myself again just so he can accomplish NOTHING. No raise no new position, nothing! I regret that after I finished my training to be in the health field, I didn’t immediately try to work. Always working around his schedule because he can’t change anything. No family near, no help. His own family asks ME when we will visit.. now I just tell them, I don’t know. Maybe ask him!

My wife is desperately trying to remember a certain movie or TV show that she watched a few years ago.
She swears it was an episode of a TV show, maybe an anthology series?
Setting was a dark house or apartment with no windows. She remembers a concrete interior. A man brings home a plant for his partner (husband? Boyfriend?) for their anniversary. It’s clear that the partner is preoccupied with their job (specifically their phone and computer; i.e. the technology in their life).
At some point, the plant starts to change the technology-focused partner. There are changes to his body and there’s an eventual illness. He eventually ends up in a bathtub, and he’s turning into a plant with vines coming out of him.
At the end, he has finally succumbed to the parts of the plant and he is now a part of a forest where his partner (the one that bought the plant) comes to visit him. Seems like there’s an overarching story about being present and not distracted by your phone (or technology in general).

Hi, guys. I was looking to confirm the name of a Hindi TV comedy series I remember watching around 2014 or 2015, but I don't remember much. Basically there's a family living a house and then there is another family of ghosts living in the same house. I only remember this one female ghost character (the mother) who is obsessed with female villains on TV played by Delnaz Irani.

Asuka (c) vs. Bayley vs. Iyo Sky for the SmackDown Women's Championship

Asuka decides to go on a rampage against Damage CTRL, defending her belt against one member each PLE. In a SummerSlam dream match, she beats Iyo Sky to begin this challenge. At Extreme Rules, Asuka defeats Bayley to retain the championship. Now, she ould only have one more member to beat: Dakota Kai. Unfortunately, Dakota is seen to be out for the rest of 2023, so Asuka can't complete this challenge here. So, Asuka thinks of the next best possible option: beat both Bayley and Iyo Sky again! In a triple threat match, Asuka's looking to show her dominance once again, while Bayley and Iyo are not gonne let this moment slip from their hands again.
Surprisingly, Dakota Kai got a front row ticket in the crowd just to see this triple threat match. When Bayley and Iyo come out to their respective music, they both hug Dakota to show that their sisterhood wouldn't break for some singles gold. During the match, it basically looks like a handicap match, and nothing like the triple threat match at Survivor Series 2009. But no matter what move they hit, whether it be a Rose Plant or a Moonsault, Asuka always kicks out! The only target for the competing members of Damage CTRL is hurting Asuka to the point of not kicking out. There comes a point where Asuka is down on the announce table, and Iyo Sky is on the top turnbuckle, getting the crowd to stand up in anticipation! She flips off the turnbuckle, but Asuka moves out of the way at the last possible second! This makes Iyo crash right into that table! Bayley reaches out for a kneeling Asuka while in the ring, but Asuka spits out that fuckin' mist and locks in the Asuka Lock! Bayley taps out, although she's still thinking: "Dakota's watching! Don't tap!"! But she tapped because in WWE canon, there is nothing more excruciating (at least not involving weapons) than getting caught in the Asuka Lock while being blinded by the mist! Asuka laughs right in Dakota's face as Kai is worried for her sisters.

The Judgment Day (c) vs. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn vs. Latino World Order vs. Pretty Deadly for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship

At SummerSlam, Damian Priest and Dominik Mysterio beat Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn to win the Undisputed Tag Titles. As it was due to a rollup while grabbing the tights (guess which member of Judgment Day did that), KOZaynia got a rematch at Extreme Rules, but still lost due to interference by Finn Balor. Because of the continued interferences, KOZaynia get another shot at the titles, but there's a catch: There are two SmackDown Tag Teams that have been dominating the division for the past five months. Those teams are The Latino World Order and Pretty Deadly. Cruz Del Toro and Joaquin Wilde have proven that they are championship worthy, maintaining The LWO's legacy. Pretty Deadly have also proven to be fantastic, retaining their status in NXT as one of the best duos in this company today! Both have also earned a shot at the Undisputed Tag Team Titles.
At Survivor Series, the match is a flurry of strikes, high-flying moves, and double-team maneuvers. With Judgment Day's strength, KOZaynia's resilience, Legado's aerial prowess, and Pretty Deadly's Ultimate Opportunistic strategy, it very much looks like anyone can walk away with the four belts. Dominik Mysterio and Rhea Ripley also try to make sure that Judgment Day walk away with the belts, using cheap shots whenever they can. Rhea even hits Joaquin Wilde with the Riptide! Eventually, Cruz Del Toro and Finn Balor are both pinning Elton Prince and Sami Zayn, respectively, and the ref counts to three! They both argue about who the ref was counting for, and it turns out that the referee was counting for Del Toro! Legado Del Fantasma are the new WWE Tag Team Champions! This leaves Finn Balor fuming for another title opportunity.

Ilja Dragunov (c) vs. Cody Rhodes for the Intercontinental Championship

Ilja Dragunov has been on a roll on the main roster ever since defeating Gunther at SummerSlam to end his reign at 422 days! Dragunov is much more well known as the wildcard killer that was seen on NXT. However, there is another man who has been on a roll since returning to WWE: The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes. Cody has faced off against current Seth Freakin Rollins, Finn Balor, Brock Lesnar, and Roman Reigns since returning. But now, he's facing someone who you don't even know what move is coming next. And Ilja Dragunov is the only thing standing in the way of calling Cody Rhodes Intercontinental Champion for a third time. The WWE Universe is hot in anticipation for this first time clash!
In the match, it is as bit of exciting as you would expect from these two. For every grapple that Cody has, Dragunov has a lightning quick punch. For every kick that Dragunov has, Cody has a knee. By the end of the match, Ilja Dragunov runs for the Torpedo Moscow, but Cody ducks and hits a disaster kick for a two count. Cody runs for a Cody Cutter, but Ilja knees him in the back of the neck and lands a Sick Lariat. He backs into the corner of the ring again, with craze in his eyes! He points at Cody and lands the Torpedo Moscow to get the three count and retain his IC Title!

Shayna Baszler and Ronda Rousey (c) vs. Katana Chance and Kayden Carter for the Women's Tag Team Championship

Ever since winning the Women's Tag Titles, Shayna and Ronda have ran through the competition, defeating every made up team that Adam Pearce could possibly create. But for Survivor Series, they have a new challenge: an actual tag team of KC Squared. Kayden and Katana have shown their ability to fight til the end in NXT and the main roster. However, the champions are not amused, seeing KC2 as stepping stone to their 'reign of terror'. But Carter and Chance are ready to see how well they fare against half of the Horsewomen.
In the match, Shayna uses submissions target KC'S arm and KC's leg. But Kayden's quickness and precision to bounce back into this match. Ronda is just being her rowdy self, punching and flipping the KC Undercovers whenever she can. But Katana uses her past from American Ninja Warrior to catch the fighters off guard. After trying to catch up with Katana at the end of the match, Shayna finally grabs her and locks in the Kirifuda Clutch, making Katana tap out while Kayden and Ronda brawl on the outside to retain the titles.

Seth Freakin Rollins (c) vs. Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship

Seth Rollins holds the World Heavyweight Championship up to this point, retaining the title against the likes of Finn Balor, Damian Priest, and Shinsuke Nakamura. But his next challenge comes in the form of Der Ring General, Gunther! Gunther is on the radar after losing his Intercontinental Championship to Ilja Dragunov at SummerSlam. He almost immediately challenges The Visionary to a match at Survivor Series, which Rollins happily accepts. He'll gladly defeat 'Walter' again.
This match is obviously a banger of a match. There are knees, chops, slaps, headbutts, suplexes, stomps, boots, everything! Giovanni Vinci and Ludwig Kaiser do try to interfere, but Rollins takes them out with Suicide Dives. Gunther has Rollins in a sleeper hold, but Rollins counters with something akin to the Salida Del Sol, laying both men out and down for the count.
L... A... KNIGHT!
Holy Shit! LA Knight runs down the ramp with his Money in The Bank Briefcase, and cashes it in during the fucking match! He's pulling a Seth Rollins! As Samantha Irvin announces that LA Knight is cashing in his briefcase, Knight hits Seth with a BFT and immediately pins him to become the second World Heavyweight Champion of this lineage!

The Usos vs. Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa

After Night of Champions, Roman Reigns is absolutely irate at Jimmy Uso for what he did; if he didn't superkick him, TWICE, then Roman and Solo would have held the Tag Team Championships by now! Jimmy is rebelling against Roman for all the abuse that he and his brother have endured for the past three years. He believes that he should be The Tribal Chief, and not Roman, because he will actually treat his family with respect when they help him retain a title for three years. At Money in the Bank, Reigns retains the championship in a scene similar to Hell in a Cell 2020: Roman having Jimmy locked in the guillotine choke, with Jimmy reaching out to Jey, who actually got spiked by Solo per Roman's orders (unwillingly however). Jimmy passes out, but Roman doesn't let him go long after the bell!
At this point, Jimmy Uso is not considered a part of The Bloodline anymore by the champion. It's now Roman Reigns, Jey Uso, Paul Heyman, and Solo Sikoa. Jey, however, is not thrilled to be a part of this group anymore. At SummerSlam, Roman retains the title against Bobby Lashley, with the help of Solo. Jey doesn't even show up to Detroit, which is pissing Roman Reigns off even more. He won't be at Extreme Rules, but he has the perfect match to replace his usual place on the card, the main event: Jey Uso vs. Solo Sikoa! This is an emotional match for both brothers, with both hesitating to hit each other with their biggest moves. Solo eventually hits Jey with the Samoan Spike to win this difficult battle.
Roman is back, and he's proud of Solo for delivering the final blow. Sikoa says nothing, but his silence is really speaking a million words at this point. Jey Uso finally lets out his frustrations on The Tribal Chief, saying that Reigns isn't giving his family credit for him even keeping the championship for this long. He doesn't care about The Bloodline. He's only caring for himself and what he can do to keep those two belts. If he did, then Jimmy would be here right now. Jey asks Solo what he thinks about it. Nothing comes out of his mouth. Roman decides to have a tag team match at Survivor Series: The Usos vs. Roman and Solo. Everyone is clear about what they want except two people: Solo and Heyman.
At Survivor Series, Roman confronts Jey head-on without an ounce of heart. The crowd empathizes with Jey's struggle against his own family. Meanwhile, Solo Sikoa's silence grows more pronounced, his conflicted emotions evident in every hesitant movement he makes. The Usos are still one of the greatest tag teams of all time, and they prove this be executing their most famous moves. However, Roman and Solo prove their dominance throughout the match. Heyman is just sitting back with his heart racing as he's witnessing a family war. But then, Solo Sikoa once again hesitates, granting Jey Uso an opportunity to capitalize! Jey hits Solo with a superkick, and pins him for the three count! The emotional rollercoaster of this match reaches its peak as The Usos stand tall. Roman's expression is a mixture of disappointment and contemplation. Solo Sikoa rises to his feet, exchanging in a brief glance with The Tribal Chief. This signals the uncertainty and complexity that lies ahead for The Bloodline's future.

I bought a display model 43" Class 4-Series Fire TV recently from Best Buy for cheap but it came with no remote. I assumed there would be some physical buttons on the TV to navigate but it appears to only be a single power button and you can short press it to switch inputs, that's it.
With no remote I couldn't join it to my wifi network to use the Fire TV remote app. Hardwired it to my network and it just pops up a message to log into your Amazon account...which of course I cannot do without a remote.
Is there a way to factory reset one of these without a remote? The Fire TV remote app just hangs while Looking for Devices even when I was hardwired...

I’m not really good at these kinds of things or describing myself but I’ll try -
As my title says I am 31/F and I live in Eastern Canada but I’m making a huge move when the summer is over and heading to Western Canada for a career change.
I was just put off of work a week ago due to a variety of health concerns. But, I was a medical aesthetician and clinic manager for a group of dermatology practice. I have a passion for skincare and helping others - I really loved my job but it was time for a change. I decided to leave and I was able to get a new job with the government working more with my degree (BSc Business) but it does not start for a while. So, I have a lot of free time for now and I’m quite lonely lately lol
With all this new found free time I have just been keeping myself occupied and enjoying my hobbies like:
I really love all kinds of music. I am a huge Swiftie even though my favourite genre is Alternative/Grunge type of stuff. I play guitar (very well) and sing (not as well) and I know how to play keyboard, piano, mandolin and I’ve dabbled with a few other instruments too. I volunteer a good chunk of time to teaching guitar to children living in foster care - I had a difficult home life growing up and music really helped me. The goal was to hopefully help some of those kids as well.
Another passion/interest of mine that I recently rediscovered is Karate and Martial Arts. I am a 1st Dan in Shotokan Karate (black belt) but I had not been actively training for a while. I recently decided to pick it back up and aim for my 2nd Dan. I’ve been going to the gym for two weeks and putting in a lot of effort - I would like to branch out into other styles of Martial Arts. We can discuss some options if that is something you’re into as well or have training in!
I also love to read and watch movies/tv shows. The genres I enjoy are typically the same throughout which is sci-fi and fantasy type of stuff. I just finished reading the Pathfinder Series (loved it!!) and started rewatching My Hero Academia - maybe we can watch it together? Or you can suggest me something? I am just out of things to watch and I have no idea what to put on anymore.
I don’t do multiplayer gaming (sorry!) but I do play a lot of single player stuff on my Switch. I have not put that thing down since Tears Of The Kingdom was released and I’ve been a Zelda fan since ALTTP. I would seriously love to talk to somebody about the lore and gameplay of TOTK or the entire franchise if that is something you’re interested in too! I have played all of the games and I continuously find myself down a Zelda timeline rabbit hole.
I feel like it’s mandatory to mention that I suffer from a handful of mental health issues and anxiety that all stem from a very traumatic childhood. I also have Autism and so I struggle to convey my thoughts or read people properly. I get very frustrated when I mean one thing but it gets taken in another way and vice versa. I hope you have a lot of patience and understand in that regard. Mental health and self improvement is very important to me because it’s something I work hard on daily and I just want some support and I of course, would give you support as well.
Anyway, that was long but also a decent summary of my hobbies and interests. Hopefully we have some overlap and we can get to know each other and become friends! I believed as a kid we'd have flying cars and hologram live the video game stuff and a robot in your house to feed the blob, me. It's not happening. I though movies and TV was real. I have a high iq but I'm dumb most of the time. There's a word for that dumbsmart originally German dorfenshnartz. I stand at the precipice of a great canyon. Howling screaming suddenly a radscorpion appears and I 360 no scope it with a double barrel Barrera. Then a big scorpion breaks the earth and I'm flattened by flying chunks of earth. I try to get up but I think my legs are broken and I'm stuck with my face in the dirt. The scorpion taunts me "owwwe wowwee you want more?" I whimper nowweee and then the scorpion slams its scorpion tail right into my rump. Blood flys everywhere and I feel faint. The scorpion grins and puts its gnarly weapon further into my intestins and stuff. I'm helpless as the scorpion lifts me into the air by my anus and twirls me around. Then the scorpion slams me into the ground and delivers a series of striking blows all over my body. It starts with smacking me with the blunt end of it's tail, slowly breaking every bone in my body as I bleed out. I'm dying I think. Then the scorpion says "I have a surprise for you" and explodes, leaving behind 100 baby scorpions. I am helpless as I am overtaken by the little beasts. They poke me all over my body leaving bleeding chunks everywhere. Then the scorpions start to eat my alive, eating everything but my face and heart. The little guys all chime in together "any last words bitch?" I try to say ummm to think of something but my face is shattered and every sound comes out as a gargling moan. They plucked out my eyes and tongue and left me there overnight. In the morning they cooked my heart and ate it.
That was all a dream I had... uh uh uh... murmurs. I think so... it might have been... real... I once had a dream that I was gonna have an arranged mariage. It was beautiful so was she. But right before or after I was like this is no good. I don't know this babe. This hoe can't hold me down. I played ping pong in the dream too. One time I had a dream I was a lion. I just want to veg out in ai. I don't care if I have to haul garbage and put all my money into it and give google my brain rights I will do anything to go super vr mode. Be a bird. I am a baby waaaaah. Hahahahaha I ama a spy. I caught you. You're a bad person. You're grown up but you think you're invincible like your 15. You can't remember anything. What's up with that. This might be a bit long.
So, Remake of 4 released recently and instead of just jumping in I decided to do a sort of count-up, playing every chronologically relevant mainline entry to the series, starting from the remake of 1 (I decided to avoid 0), original 2, remake of 2, og 3 (I don't like the remake of 3) and Code Veronica.
I loved going through remake 1 and heck even did a sub 3h run for the first time, RE2 OG and RE2Make were similarly complete blasts to play through. The OG RE3 is a game that I played as a child and have replayed every 2 or so years since, and it never fails to give me a wide grin and a hearty nemesis scare (even if I know where he will appear!).
Even through this, Code Veronica is the game that I remembered the least about so I was somewhat looking forward to it, but...I honestly don't think I will ever play this game ever again after today.
I sat down around 12h or so ago as of writing this with the full intent to beat CVX in this sitting, even if I do remember it being on the longer side.
After 12h of trying my absolute best that I could do to beat this game without following a guide and trying to conserve as much as ammo as I possibly could (although I am not the best player in the world, still playing the other games and even RE2R on HC gave me some amount of confidence), I am thrust into the final boss, remembering finally why I never actually beat this game, despite always getting to the end.
Phase 2 of this boss has to honestly be the most frustrating thing I've ever experienced in any RE game that I've played, genuinely. I know bosses getting hits on you is something that is more than likely to occur, it's why healing items are important, but this boss is just darn infuriating because of the little ground adds that she spawns. They just keep stunlocking me and because the aim locks me to the boss, and not them, they're also a pain in the ass to actually kill (which is in it of itself sorta pointless considering that she just spawns them good as new)
This boss is also a resource drain, more resources than I think I am able to produce in the current situation, which brings me to my next point of immense frustration: The way that claire/chris switches work at the end game and the way that it ends up playing out is, at least I feel like, is incredibly unfair. Because I got poisoned by nosferatu (and previously really failed with the sniper mechanic, as I found the sniper aiming and draw distance to be just frustrating) At the end, when Claire and Chris are finally separated, I was unsure of what was coming, so I equipped Claire with the grenade launcher, bowgun and handun. After this, is the steve segment, where control is thrust back onto Chris with whom the final boss is fought.
What I didn't realize was that: from this point forward, no chance is given to retrieve the items I gave Claire, at least to my knowledge, which I feel is just frustrating. This leaves me with the magnum, shotgun and chrises ehanced glock, alongside whatever remaining spots I can fill with healing items.
Sure, maybe I should have prepared for that eventuality or maybe even kept saves just in case (which I didn't, as Claire isn't able to save during her segment, at least from what I saw).
At this time I can reload an earlier Chris save and replay with more planning, but I am honestly exhausted by this game at this point, it just feels like it is out to screw me over in whatever way it wants to and I get no real say in it, nor a chance to reconsider.
Maybe I'm just not good enough, maybe I should re-start with the benefit of hindsight, but I honestly feel like trying to get through this game is like trying to find workarounds to issues as opposed to overcoming a challenge.
There are many things I like about CVX, and I felt it was fairly ambitious, but it honestly just feels immensely punishing to play, to a point where I just do not enjoy it. There are too many aspects of the game, such as the moth hallway, that just feel like dick moves by the designers for the sake of being dick moves by the designers.
I know that's a bit long, but after 12h of trying to beat CVX I just felt so disheartened and defeated after failing at the final boss many times and realizing I just couldn't do it unless I replay from the latest save pre-giving Claire the serum.
I really hope this title gets a remake even with 4 being out now, it has tons of potential.
