After spending years in school, getting my dream job (after doing four big career changes...), I've finally realized I'm missing something. YOU! Hahaha, well maybe you reading this, who knows? But, I'm definitely missing my person--whatever you may call it: soul mate, better half, beau, or something else.
I honestly don't want to keep going down this road solo. I'd love to start a family, kids, dogs, white picket fence? We'd probably have to leave California though, because all the nice places here are too expensive. Heard Florida is nice. Maybe West Virginia?
Well...about me now. I'm alive, breathing, heart ticks once in a while...besides that, I've got great teeth! I am a bit of a redneck (how's that possible in California?!) Dunno, just who I am. I do have a soft spot for dogs, so if you're not a fan, sorry gottah keep looking elsewhere. I am white, nerdy, outdoorsy, and tend to stay pretty active. Love my job, love meeting new people and helping every way I can! I'm traditional in my beliefs and values (hope you're the same way).
Big no nos: You don't like dogs. (Seriously, what normal person doesn't love dogs?)You're married or attached. (Sorry, I'm not here to fix that broken relationship). If you don't take care of yourself. (If you're not able to do that, how can I trust you can take care of our kids?) And a sense of humor. Life is short as it already is. getting into trail running.
buying a watch, and dont know if I need the 965 for the maps or i can stick to the cheaper 265 and just use the bread crumbs navigation... How is the bread crum navigation for the trails? i mean just heading out to a random trail downloading the map before, not thinking about it too much, and heading out for the run- would the 265 be enough for that, or do i need to go for this for the full map navigation in the 965?
for the record, in city, on roads- i hardly need the maps/navigation, i usually run in known areas, and occationally look at google maps before hand...

My boyfriend got upset that my friend who is in an open relationship was talking to guys at a bar we were at tonight, he did not approve of her behavior. I told him that I didn't think flirting was a big deal and if a cute guy flirts with me I flirt back, it's fun and IMO harmless. He was really hurt so I apologized and tried to explain that I don't have any romantic or sexual intentions with other people and that I am happy in our relationship. He did not seem receptive and was getting angry, I told him he was being an asshole and he walked ahead of me (on our walk home) and then locked me out of our place. I had a key so I walked in and he wouldn't talk to me the rest of the night and told me I had to sleep on the couch. My neck hurts from a 4 day drive/cross country move I recently did and the couch was making it worse, so I tried to open the bedroom door to ask if he would reconsider and that is when I realized he locked the bedroom door.
I guess I could have handled the situation better, maybe my choice of words sucked, but I feel like he overreacted and I am being punished for his insecurities. I'm really angry right now, how do I approach the situation in the morning without making the situation worse? Obviously he is upset and I want to reassure him that I am committed to him, but I'm also really mad at how he handled the situation.

From both watching the film and reading the comic several times now, I’ve come to personally notice certain subtle differences in how the characters behave in the two versions. They’re still basically the same characters of course, but I observed certain quirks that distinguished them slightly, a lot of which probably has to do with the manga being a lot longer and more intricate. They’re just my personal observations, so it’s possible these are only from my own interpretation, that others don’t see the same way. Feel free to disagree or give your own opinion.
I’ll begin with Kei, because for me it was most noticeable: the manga version of Kei is calmer and more self-assured than the anime version of Kei, and she also seems physically stronger. In the movie, Kei gets visibly shaken up when she has to shoot and kill a man for the first time. She’s hesitant and uncertain in various scenes and generally relies on Kaneda for help more so in the movie, especially when physical danger is involved. In the manga though, we rarely see her getting disturbed during fights and intense situations. She kills people quite readily when it’s her duty to do so or if it’s in self-defense. She’s quite strong and manages to fend off many attackers in the manga, even when she’s by herself, though to be fair in the manga she often gets help from Chiyoko in place of Kaneda. Overall, it seems to me as if the manga Kei is basically a more experienced version of the movie Kei.
Next, Tetsuo: this one is more subtle, but I feel like the manga version of Tetsuo is kind of more abrasive and snarky than the movie version? Like, in the manga I noticed Tetsuo makes more jokes and snide quips and taunts to people, while the movie Tetsuo is a bit more stoic I guess. We also see more emotional depth in the manga version of Tetsuo, like for example in his relationship with Kaori, but that’s mostly just because the manga is longer.
Then Kaneda: honestly Kaneda had very little difference in how he acted in the movie vs comic. I can say maybe he was slightly more expressive and emotional in the manga?
The Colonel: we got to see more of the inner side of the Colonel in the manga and we definitely get more attached to him as he sticks by throughout the whole story, but it’s basically just because the manga is longer.
Yamagata: we see very little of him in both versions, only thing I can say is that his manga version seemed dumber haha. In the manga there was a running joke that he couldn’t pronounce words correctly, in the movie there was no such joke.
As for some of the other side characters like the Clown gang, Lady Miyako, Kaori—well I can’t really make the same type of comparison because these characters‘ entire stories and roles changed between the manga and movie. So there’s not just subtle differences, there’s huge differences that are too obvious to require an interpretation.
On that note, again this is an interpretation, so tell me whether you agree or disagree on certain things, and I’d like to hear if you have any of your own takes.

Feel like this question is asked a lot, I'm currently 1754 total with pretty all-round stats and getting close to a quest cape. Played the entire game up untill this point pretty much solo. I'm mostly just looking for that bit of social interaction when playing the game and I felt like having a group of people would be nice by now. I got a bunch of friends in my friendslist but they've all got their own clan and they're friends from various social groups I have irl who just happened to play the game.
So how do you exactly start looking for a clan? Obviously im kind of cautious of getting scammed away from items (not an IM but I still spent a lot of time getting them), so i dont want to meet the wrong people. People I've met ingame have asked me if I have a clan but when I tell them no it kinda stops in its tracks right then and there lmfao.

I have dearly loved this game since its PlayStation port. I maintain it's the best JRPG ever. The fact that after 25 years I'm still not bored of it is testament to that. But I digress - this isn't about me kissing its backside.
I just wanted to share how I approach Magic with characters and see if it's any way comparable to everyone else? I know people have different approaches to this.
First few eggs (Ghost Ship, Merril Road, Sewers): Honestly? Give all three to Sue and go for Fire, Earth and Water. 'Fight Cheer' is insanely good for levelling Weapon, Fire and Earth, levelling at one of the fastest rates of any move in the game. In terms of levelling up three different skills at once, I don't think there's a better move - especially when you have three or more party members (which you generally will for most of the game after beating Chang - at least until Sue leaves, anyway). The rate at which she can level these means that she will generally have the highest defense, too (assuming you're levelling maces first).
Justin in the meantime has his own stuff to be getting on with: He has three weapon skills to level up yet. Get swords to 12 for the Wit (and to prepare for Lotus Cut), then get to Maces 10/Axes 12 for Midair Cut ASAP (which granted, might not be until you've cleared the Wall).
As for giving Sue Water: If you're patient, you can actually level this to 99 at the Dom Ruins Vestibule, using the stone face traps. There's a save point nearby, too, which is handy for refreshing your MP. The fact you're also building Earth levels up quickly means you'll also get those status-curing moves pretty quickly too.
Rangle Mountains Eggs Give both to Justin (Wind & Fire). Start levelling Fire ASAP for Lotus Cut, build swords & fire up for Thor Cut, then lastly start levelling wind. You'll be busy with this for a while, so it's good to get a head-start. Feena joins your party after Chang and she has whips & fire to be getting on with for the time being.
Dom Ruins Egg Ideally you have levelled Sue's Water to 99 before completing this. Because I'm a masochist, I actually like to fetch the egg, double-back aaaaall the way back to New Parm, get Wind for Feena, then go aaaaall the way back through the Dom Ruins again. I then like to alternate between Fire Whip and Howl or Runner for Feena (depending on how bunched-up your characters are, Runner > Howl. It also gives Sue & Justin more time to level their skills in battle too).
Flying Dragon Valley Eggs Use these to (finally) give Water to Feena & Justin. You can use the acid pits at Mt Typhoon to get Water to 99 for them. The way we can cheese levelling water in this game is hilarious, but in fairness it is also a big ol' time sink, too. You also don't have to level water to 99, but magic levels also give points to Max MP, so... why would you not?
Mt Typhoon/Typhoon Tower Given that levelling water outside can be a bit of a time sink, it's actually not a bad idea to grab these first, go back to Dight, and use these to give Earth to Justin and Feena first before the water cheese. Unless you're playing the game for numerous hours in one go just to get the levels up ASAP you're likely going to end up in quite a few combat encounters, and levelling Earth whilst levelling water means you can get forest magic under your belt in time for when Sue leaves, as until now she has been your only reliable source of that.
The rest after this of course should be given to Rapp as and when. Make sure one of those magics is Water by the time you get to the Castle of Dreams (where, incidentally, there is another Mana Egg) so you can use the trap in the Cemetary to power-level Water for him there.
Sue's Skills after she leaves Part of the reason I invested so heavily in Sue early on is that - with a little bit of grinding at the Tower (and at the Vanishing Hill right before she leaves) - her magic and weapon levels should be at silly levels now. Water is level 99, one weapon is probably that too and your Fire & Earth should be into the 50s by now, if not higher (again, depends on how much you like grinding). The beauty here is that one-third of these juicy levels can be passed on to someone else.
I like to give her skills out like this:
Fire & Earth: Rapp. When you first get him he feels underwhelming compared to Justin & Feena. He's slow on the IP gauge and doesn't hit especially hard for someone with three weapon skills. Fire helps speed him up somewhat and Earth gives his attacks a bit more oomph. Plus Rapp does have access to some decent 'splosion magic.
Water: Liete. The Castle of Dreams is an excellent place for Rapp to cheese-level Water (and there's even a Mana Egg inside it in case you forget to give him Water with the other two eggs), so he doesn't actually need the water levels. Neither do Justin or Feena thanks to Mt Typhoon. You *could* go back there with Liete (and I often do), but at least even if you do do this, you have a 33-level head-start on water levels.
Maces and Projectiles: Maces to Liete (it's her only weapon and it'll directly help with her total SP); Projectiles to Rapp.

I've been playing for a couple years right before bed. I mainly play support but can flex pick most of the time. I've been playing a MOBA called heroes of the storm basically since it was in beta so I'm familiar with the fundamentals of a MOBA.
I probably shouldn't have started playing rank without understanding the items system but I did and now I'm in mythic and occasionally I'll get flamed for my items and I'm honestly just using the top builds at the time when I play.
I figured I should probably learn about how to approach the items. Where can I learn more about what makes a good build for specific situations or to counter?

I've never had a boyfriend before, and I've been in these kinda relationships where things felt like we were dating but without getting physical (aka situationships). It made me doubt myself, wondering why these guys weren't into me enough to make it official (panget ba ko etc). I guess it's kinda like Tom in "500 Days of Summer" (but as a girl), thinking that if we acted like lovers without a label, they would eventually fall for me too.
But I got tired of that nonsense and decided to read some dating books for women. One book that really clicked with me was "Why Men Love Bitches" by Sherry Argov. It totally changed my perspective and taught me how to be a strong, independent woman.
Guess what? It actually worked! I met this guy who ticks all the boxes of my dream type, and now we're together and I'm super happy (he's super pogi, tall and treats me well). During our dating phase, I did things differently than in my past situationships. I stopped taking the lead and just relaxed, embracing my feminine side. I let him take charge by inviting me on dates and planning them. I never initiated or planned the dates myself. And you know what? It made a huge difference. I never chased after him either.
Remember, when you act like a prize, you'll turn him into a believer. 😉

I'm currently practising sitting relaxed, feet on the floor, not crossed legged, on a chair. And it's so confusing. If the chair "fits" my legs get a bit shakey? Like, they struggle to stand like that. I prefer it if they hang more and theres pressure on the bottom of them, but that's not right right? I also tend to tense my leg muscles if I sit normal and have to constantly remind myself to relax them. Should there be pressure on your feet?
How does sitting on a chair work? Has anyone ever sat normal on a chair?

So I was applying to a lot of job lately, and one was for a lab manager at this prestigious medical university. I have lots of science experience (which is what they say they based the pay off of). So I do the first interview, it goes amazing. They tell me I got moved on to the 2nd interview, that goes amazing as well. Then the professor tells me they want to meet in person to let all the staff and then they can make their final decision. We discuss salary and the professor tells me that HR doesn’t say how much they will offer until they decide to move forward and hire me, which they are ready to do because they like me. I say alright and I really like the job, but then I get a call from the professor and the university said they could only offer $45K, which mind you this is in a really populated/expensive city like Denver level big/expensive. I told them sill just look for better job opportunities. I get that academia doesn’t pay as well as industry,but that was a ridiculously low offer and they waited until after 3 interviews to tell me that, I would’ve not even applied has I known!

Hey guys, first time posting here, and I was wondering if you could help me with a cube idea I had some time ago. While I was creating my pauper cube for casual play I found out (during testing) that many of the low cmc cards I added wheren't the best or created bad topdecks in the late game (which is normal but still annoying). After fixing that I pondered the orb and noticed a bunch of cards in my Dominaria United bulk box, the 40 card common/uncommon kicker cycle and thought "wow all of this cards are useful both early and late game, maybe I could make a cube around them", and here I am now.
So the plan is simple, have a cube with cards that at max have something like 4 cmc but all of them, and I mean all, have some sort of effect that makes them (for more/less mana) usefull in almost all moments of the game, such as kicker, flashback, emerge, prototype or even expensive activated abilities. The problem rises from the fact I don't know where to start, apart from the 40 DMU cards, and while I can visualize the archetypes from that set of cards (azban 1+/1+, sultai graveyard matters, mardu(?) sacrifice matters, naya go wide, temur spells matter, jeskai blink theme for the prototype cards, etc...), I don't know what else to add that both supports this themes AND follow the general rule of "always useful".
So, in short, where can I find a cube with a similar idea so I can have a base to start from? Or do you have advice in general for other keywords, sets of cards that synergize well with this theme or just some tips on how to build the cube. The perfect dream is to have a cube where everything is useful in almost every phase of the game, even if it's an impossible dream, I want to get as close as possible to it.

My daughter has a friend at daycare with two mums. They have been friends for a while but today my 3yo asked WHY her friend had two mums.
We were a bit stumped for an answer (we would also be stumped on how to respond to asking why some kids have a mum and a dad without getting into the detailed biology of it, which we basically didn’t think was the essence of her question).
In the end I just said that all children have people who are responsible for taking care of them, sometimes it’s a mum and dad, sometimes two mums or two dads or one mum and one dad etc. But I’m not 100% sure where that’s the right approach. Does anyone have any suggestions in how I could answer the question for her? I’m happy to revisit the convo with her I just want to get it right.
I did ask the staff at daycare for suggestions, and they weren’t overly helpful, but I realise this isn’t really their role so I don’t blame them.

I've been printing for a couple of years and generally change my FEP if it has some bad marks on it that might interfere with printing. However, I seem to be in the position that I've been using the same FEP for what seems like an age, and it is still pretty much perfect. I only print things I've designed as I sell them on an ebay shop, so the supports etc. have been perfected, having printed them so often, and I almost never get a failed print. As such, the FEP seems to go on almost indefinitely.
What worries me is that the repeated stress on the FEP and various other factors could lead to it becoming brittle or deteriorating over time in ways I cannot see. I don't want to end up with a tear and resin leaking all over the lcd.
So my question is, how often do you replace what looks like a perfectly good FEP?
