Howdy.
I was wondering if young people 18-25 living in the Bay Area that suffer from chronic illness/Lyme would want to be in contact. I feel like I can't relate to anyone. My parents are supportive but they really can't comprehend my reality. I think that's a common thing we all share. Some of the feelings and discomfort I get are so specific and visceral or just weird that you can't understand it without going through it. I feel like ultimately people just perceive my troubles as "oh he has headaches" just because I can joke around and am not bedbound. I have more neurological symptoms- and dont have a lot of the classic Lyme symptoms, so I even feel like a lot of the time I don't relate to a lot of Lyme stories. It's hard and I have trouble feeling valid with my symptoms.
I was hoping to be able to converse with someone locally around my age, but really I just want to be able to relate to someone and know they have the capacity to understand me. I'd prefer it to be local, but really anyone who has chronic issues, attributed to Lyme, who is around 20 years old, please hit me up. I feel like therapy and stuff is only a means to an end, I think we really just need empathy and deep understanding and that requires a perception that only encompassing illness can provide.

Currently have an 8 month old and with the weather getting nice we are hoping for some fun age appropriate activities!

My kid is 7 years old and just started learning golf, I'm thinking to buy her a golf set and heard a lot of good things about the US Kids Ultra Light series
She's 48" now and UL 48 seems to fit her current height, but I wonder if I should purchase UL 51 one to avoid having to buy another set in the next 1-2 years when she expected to reach 51" in height

On and off Wellbutrin every few years. It gets me off the couch and helps me “fix” myself and pull my life together. I stay on for a year then as soon as I get off I reverse all the great changes I made over the last year and get back on the couch. Most recently I made great strides in my career and family. Within 6 months I simply quit my job and decided to stay home with my baby. That got hard so I moved cross country to be closer to toxic family members, now my husband is miserable too. Am I just being hard on myself? If I just stayed on it we would be in a great city with great friends and amenities in a nice house. We really downgraded just on a whim over 3-4 weeks I decided to put our house up for sale and move back to our small town. No one is happy. Maybe the baby is. I think it’s time to go back on, but I know I’m just going to destroy all the great changes I make. I feel so hopeless. Does that mean Wellbutrin isn’t a good fit?

Ok sry if the title is misleading but, I have a problem with my d string or my finger. When I am playing G on the d string and let go to quickly play something on the A string, either it is the release of my thicc 3rd finger or my bow string crossing somehow, the d string rings very loudly. Yea I have sweaty hands and sometimes my finger and string get stuck together a little, pulling finger off can play the string. But it's happening way to much and it is distracting me from playing the actual music.
How do I stop this d string sound? (Purposely didn't say ringing in case you misunderstand)

I'm a director who has spent the past 2 years writing a slew of ideas that I can't get myself to greenlight. It's been very difficult to read my own stuff and not hate it, which has led me to want to pause and seek out some other writers in the hopes that a collaboration might help get the ball rolling again. My goal with this post is to seek out writers who may have work they are dying to have made but don't have the resources. During my time in which I've been attempting to write, I've actually gained a lot of experience directing a variety of different projects. Primarily commercial and branded doc work, but with music videos and one experimental short film. The last project I worked on was a 2 minute web piece for Apple. these experiences have earned me a decent sized network peers and colleagues who I trust. Enough so that I think I could build a really strong team of creatives (producer, casting director, DP, editor, composer, colorist, G&E, etc.) to pull just about anything together with the right concept. I can't promise anything, but I have some free time right now to dive in on something I'm passionate about and am hitting road blocks in my own writing. Coming from a broken home, I love stories of addiction, alcoholism specifically. I'm constantly writing things related to my time growing up in a small town riddled with addiction, nothing to do, and only trouble to get into. I also love small towns with large wealth gaps of those that own the land and those who work on it. I would be interested to see anyone else's spin on these settings/themes specifically. However, I'm not unwilling to read anything else. That's just where I've tended to go in my own writing. The Logline for my short that I wrote myself is: A scattered mother struggling with her addiction kidnaps her 12 year old boy seeking one last good memory before she gives him up The problem I find is very quickly it can become too "on the nose" as a short, and more meant to be a feature. I want something that isn't a proof of concept, but rather something that fits and works on it's own as a short film. All that being said, I'm open to read just about anything and am really just hoping to click with something that feels right. Films I love that inspire me: Honey Boy, Florida Project, Aftersun, Tree of Life, Punch-Drunk Love, Queen & Slim, C'mon C'mon.

Theyre so odd looking and the animations feel rushed. The warm up swings look awful. They need a new beefy option between fat and average. Hats and helmets also looked weird. Am I the only one who thinks the old models are better? The stances felt alot less choppy and more fluid. Necks are weird.

I’m very open minded. 5’2 weakling, no one would hire me for exceedling physical labor but I’m willing to work hard and take some physical toll. 😂 I have a BA in linguistics that’s not serving me anymore. I’ve mostly worked with dogs, language instruction and service industry. I like to be somewhat independent if possible. I run a dog rescue and have dogs and foster dogs so can’t do any overnight travel. HATED a stint as a CNA.

Here's my poor attempt to sell myself like a bad infomercial. My social circle is pretty much limited to people I work with or short conversations with customers. I live in the US on the East Coast but grew up on the West Coast. I have two high-energy dogs, an Australian shepherd mix and huskie mix. I have a 1 year old son. I do enjoy cooking and making new dishes, but I am by far the worst baker. My favorite TV show is the office, please don't say parks and rec is better. I've had many random jobs in the past, with even random stories to go along with. I'm a bit of a nerd, I have a comic collection and random Star Wars collectibles, but I'm not ashamed. I have a few tattoos that have no meaning at all, and I plan on getting more soon. My music taste is stuck in the early 2000s rock, punk, and screamo. I'm just trying to make a friend outside of work.

Hi all — we have a seven year old tortoiseshell cat who has a history of small wounds on her back that come and go. We assume these wounds are from scratching, and they all appear in the same area and heal relatively quickly (in a matter of days).
A few days ago, we noticed a wound on her back, between her shoulder blades. She did not appear to be in pain or bothered by it, so we decided to monitor. Since then it has grown into this. We gently pulled some hair out as it was matted from whatever was oozing out of the wound. It doesn’t seem to be oozing at a high rate, and she doesn’t seem to be bothered by it anymore than normal.
We are calling our vet in the AM, but I am asking here if this warrants an immediate trip to an overnight vet. Thank you.
Species/age/sex: female tortoiseshell short haired cat, ~7 years old — neutered and about 9 pounds
Short history: see above + previous dental work. She also had slightly elevated liver enzymes but not high enough to warrant anything else but watching it. She has been on prescription food before for her tummy.
Relevant clinical signs: lesion on back, has grown slightly but we are unsure. No other clinical signs — eats well, sleeps well, behaves her normal self. She is a little more cuddly at night than usual but she sometimes gets that way.
Length of time: ~5 days
Test results: none yet, we are calling our vet in the AM but wanted to make sure this didn’t warrant an emergency vet trip

I am a 21 year old male who has dealt with OCD my whole life and I’ve been really bothered by the fear of losing control or going crazy. I don’t know what happened but a couple months ago it intensified greatly as I had a random panic attack on vacation due to these fears previously mentioned and ever since then it has been down hill. There was no specific trigger but every time I leave my house I get insanely fearful I’m in a situation I can’t control and begin to have panic attacks that make me feel like I’m going crazy and going to lose control and that I’ll need to be hospitalized. This fear keeps me from wanting to leave my house and it is so difficult to deal with. Today I went to get lunch and as I was eating started freaking out in my head thinking I was in danger of losing control which lead to trembling, shaking, and a racing heart beat. This made me run straight to my car and leave my food and drive home right away. I can’t go out with my friends, go visit my family, or even go get lunch because of this fear and panic I deal with on a daily basis. I’m switching to cymbalta for medication but does anyone have any advice or similar experiences?

Real hope doesn’t show up without real fear. Most of the time, hope is scary.
But the old saying is true, hope is the only thing stronger than fear.
Hope and fear are playing in a constant game of tug-of-war. And all of us live somewhere on the rope. It’s tempting to think that the closer we get to the hope side, the less we’ll be afraid.
But everyone knows that when one side starts to win in tug-of-war, the other side just pulls harder. For those of us willing to see, life is never just one thing.
Ongoing childhood abuse is an act of betrayal, and in many cases, children are threatened not to tell anyone about what is happening. Living in an abusive home is often a hopeless, joyless existence...So finding hope after can feel like an extremely daunting task.
I you think about it, hope is fear’s antithesis. In a way, hope is the reality we wish to see in the future, and fear is its shadow.
Fear simply represents what could go wrong. Our inability to see—let alone control—our futures makes us anxious that the shadow will overtake the well-lit dream.
The difficult part is overcoming that shadow with courage and hope. It’s something I struggle with everyday. It’s something with which we all struggle.
Fear is the prompt. Hope is the way. Fear is about trying to survive something. Hope is about knowing why you want to.

Hey gang, just a heads up. I saw an unmarked white suv with full lights pull someone over in the old town Verizon store. Something to be cautious and aware of.

So I have some old eggs I've been planning to use for pysanky, they're so smooth and are beautiful colors (will likely be vinegar etched, but considering colored wax). However the eggs come from a farm with a rooster so they're likely fertilized, they're more than likely not viable at this point (about 2+ months after laying) but I've never worked with fertilized eggs in the past.
Obviously, if I blow them out there won't be a difference, eggs shells are egg shells, but would I be able to keep them unblown? Are there additional steps I should take if so?
