There's money to be made in chaos and the Russian private military contractor known as the Wagner Group knows how to capitalize on it.
The European Union and the United States recently imposed sanctions on Wagner specifically related to its activities across Africa.
Wagner may not be the only private military company contracted by governments in Africa - PMCs from China, South Africa, and the U.S. are known to operate across the continent - but it operates differently and more secretively, said Sergey Sukhankin, a senior fellow with the Jamestown Foundation, a Washington, D.C.-based think tank.
It's not clear what, if any, support Wagner may be providing to either side; Prigozhin denied any involvement in Sudan's internal conflict last month.
Although Wagner has worked closely with the RSF in protecting its gold smuggling operations, Medani said it hasn't necessarily taken a side in the conflict.

I bought on 2 separate purchases 100 USD steam card key during the same day from same reseller: Gamersuniverse
when I used the second key I received an error that indicated the key was already used "The Steam Waller code you have entered has already been redeemed. Steam Support is unable to issue you a new code" I thought this was an error or something so i tried the other code (maybe i mixed them up somehow) but the other code error was "The Steam Wallet code you have entered has already been previously redeemed on your account" - so the first one worked correctly, and the second was used and not by my account. I created a conversation with the seller which asked me to provide all kind of unnecessary stuff like my purchase history and image of the error and ETC so i provided the image and then seller decided its not enough and i need to go to Steam Support in order to ask for the time which they key was used. In my opinion that is nonsense - why do I need to seek help in different support of different sites when I made my purchase on G2A? - I asked the seller to go figure it out and contact steam support if its public info - seller refused and didn't replay to me since.
eventually I contacted them myself during ticket to g2a and to my surprise they refused to give me date and time of key usage - because its private info of the person who used it (which was not me).
So in the mean time I tried to seek help from G2A ticket systems which were not familiar with those small details and errors meanings - so it took a while to make them understand. they told me I must try what the seller ask or it will not be possible to refund me - so as i said I asked Steam Support for the use date and time on that key and they refused to help me. after providing the info to G2A support - the wind has changed and they told me that without police report of my authority they will not help me and my money is gone - and its my issue.
I am looking for help which i was not given not by the seller and not by the G2A team.

MP Sean Fraser - (MP from Central Nova), recently gave an anecdotal note in an interview suggesting clinics and businesses in his community in Nova Scotia were closing due to lack of people. However, majority of immigrants entering Canada in our generous immigration program settle in Ontario, Quebec, and BC. In 2022 for instance, 227,235 new immigrants settled in Ontario, 83,200 settled in BC and only 13,816 immigrants settled in Nova Scotia.
Immigrants come to Canada in search of better opportunities and want their children to fulfill their potential. When one weighs up their options, it becomes clear why NS has been dealing with brain drain for decades. There is zero reason for an ambitious young family to settle in Nova Scotia. There are no internationally renouned universities like U of T and McGill, no major sports franchise, high living cost, lack of opportunities, etc.
Meanwhile, due to surge of new immigrants, uncapped international student population, and low housing starts, homelessness is record high in Ontario and BC, young people cannot find affordable dwelling, and the healthcare infrastructure is on the brink of collapse.
Atleast what is clear is that other provinces are brim full of people and Nova Scotia is not. Have there been conversations around increasing competitiveness of Nova Scotian economy? Have any measures been taken? I do apologize if this comes off as offensive, but federal votes by Nova Scotians affects other Canadians and I think this is a conversation worth having.

I Went to the djerf popup today in stockholm. (English is my second language so dont judge)
The pop up started at 10 and i were there by 9:30. The Line was very long and from the line til We got in the house was about 4 hours. But while in line they brought us drinks and ice cream. Matilda walked around and talked to Everyone. Matilda was so nice and so was everyone else on the team. She was so preeettyyy and she sat Down with people and talked. Unlike the LA popup everyone was More chill, no one really took pictures with her and just talked More but i guess thats just how swedes are.
So We finallåt got in the house and i was a bit dissepointed in the clothes there. They did not have anything from the new collection, they had no tubetops or tubedresses, not the original blue striped breezy pants or shirt, nothing in the tall collection. They had alot of their dream collection and the bedding and the new pyjamas. The new berries and fruit slipdress was 799 SEK which i find a bit expensive. I felt like they only had dead stock at the pop up. Its so strange that they did not have the new collection and i was not there to buy anything from the dream collection. My friend wanted to look at the new skirts and also buy tubetops but the did not have it. I bought swimwear which was 2for1 and when i went to pickup i got the totebag that was exlusive for today. Matilda packed my order and she was so kind, she had a beautiful dress on and she said its gonna release this summer.
Overall it was a Nice experience and it was so pretty there and everyone was so kind but after 4 hours in que i was expecting a bit More clothing wise.

2023.06.03 20:52 MillanFS Open fanfic focused on writing redemption character arcs
The Big 3 have always had a problem with rushing redemption stories, they rushed Hawk in S4 giving him way less time than he deserved for a redemption arc and an AVT champion arc, and they rushed Robby making him a yesman to Johnny in Mexico and destroying his independent, rebellious and lone-wolf nature. In Season 6 they have to write Tory’s and Kenny’s redemption arc and I feel it might be a disappointment again. They shouldn't sideline redemption characters like Hawk or Tory nor give them a reduced role but the opposite.
So I have decided to write a fanfic focusing on redemption characters arcs (whether failed or sucessful) and their rivals, specially Hawk-Demetri, Tory-Sam and in a minor way, Robby-Kenny (because they’re master and apprentice, not rivals). I’ve given less protagonism to Miguel and Robby on purpose because this is supposed to be only the first half of the season, and as they are the two main contenders for winning the Sekai Taikai, I want them to give room to other characters in the first half of the season and then Miguel and Robby could be the focus on the last part of the season. I also don’t want the Sekai Taikai to be the main narrative drive in the first half on the season, it should only be focused on the last part.
I've left multiple paths open so the readers can choose their favourite scenarios in a "make your own adventure" way, but I've still develop more the one which I prefer because I can't develop everyone.
Hawk should have a conflict over Robby being Daniel's favourite student, and Hawk should complain to Daniel that he's not being fairly treated as he tried to save Miyagi-do and is the male champion in S4 AVT while Robby was in CK trying to get Miyagi-do banned. Daniel won't realize he's playing favourites by prioritizing Robby- Daniel and Hawk had barely had any interaction in S4 and S5, compare this with Daniel close connection with Robby in S1, S2 and reopening the dojo in S5-.
Hawk could have two arcs, one (worse) that regresses his character into being jealous and reignites his rivalry with Robby and one (better) in which Hawk is more mature and he's instead disappointed with Daniel lying to him or denying he has favourites, in both of them Hawk could join Johnny's Eagle Fang, quit karate or maybe even joining Kreese's CK if he's demoralized and manipulated (specially if he's jealous).
Demetri could have a mediator role, trying to improve the relation between Hawk and Robby, as he's friendly with both, may try to keep Hawk in Miyagi-do, attempt to convince Daniel to spend more time with Hawk
Also, Demetri is the moral compass and the most Miyagi-like on the show so he could have also an unique conflict arc with Daniel, opposing the idea of joining the Sekai Taikai with the only purpose of stopping or destroying Cobra Kai once and for all, pointing out to Daniel that joining a world tournament to destroy another dojo -change CK name for Topanga Karate or Locust Valley- sounds insane or evil and having his first mayor fallout trust with Daniel as Demetri consider Daniel is going against Miyagi-do principles.
And maybe feeling disappointed with Daniel and Hawk conflict, or by his own conflict with Daniel, Demetri could end quitting karate with Hawk (at least for a time), which could cause Daniel to rethink and reflect on his ways.
Tory should try to redeem (and possibly fail, a failed honest redemption attempt would be new and interesting) herself and join Miyagi-Fang, but Amanda should tell her in a conversation that she only learned about her family situation in S4 thanks to Kreese. So Tory would be on a quest to find about Kreese whereabouts and would be loyal to Kreese, not because she's evil, but because she's grateful for all Kreese did for her. Tory would be the first to find Kreese and 3 scenarios may happen: that Kreese let her go and join Miyagi-fang, that Kreese recruits her into Kreese's Cobra Kai and she openly abandons Miyagi-fang or that Tory joins Kreese in secret and acts like a mole in Miyagi-fang trying to recruit some members.
This plot influences and interacts with each other, and everyhing is linked. Maybe Tory subverts Hawk, who no longer believes in Daniel, and fills him with more doubts regarding Miyagi-do (most interesting scenario), maybe she fails and get exposed. If Tory is raising any suspicion, Sam would notice it and be extremely paranoid, so I could see Sam trying to expel Tory out of Miyagi-do
Sam trying to expel Tory out of Miyagi-fang and getting into a "purge mode", trying to find all potential CK moles and casting shadow and putting blame on old CK's like Kawk, Robby or Kenny.
Tory gets expelled by Sam so Tory openly joins Cobra Kai, which causes an argument between her and Robby, with Robby threatening to break their relationship. There are three options here, whether Robby breaks with her again, Robby decides to keep their relation secret and pretend they’ve broken in public lying to the Miyagi-fangs or Robby stays with her. I’d prefer the second one, because it opens two other options, whether Robby is discovered or not. I prefer a paranoical Sam in spy mode discovering Robby for the sake of the story, but maybe the audience has any other preference.
Silver should be out of jail, he only got exposed of bribing a ref, and that's no major crime to end-up in jail. They have no evidence on Silver being behind the burning of Barnes furniture store and Stingray testimony isn't reliable. Silver should try to rebuild Cobra Kai and he could blackmail Kenny telling him that he can free his brother Shawn Payne from juvie using his lawyers if Kenny becomes a mole at Miyagi-fang and steal Miyagi-secrets and Miyagi’s medal of honour. (Silver had an interest about it in his first encounter with Mr. Miyagi in KK3.)
Kenny goes to Miyagi dojo, but watches Robby training Anthony, so he decides to go back, when in that moment he collides with Hawk. Hawk ask him what is he doing, if he's spying or has any trick upon his sleeve. Kenny apologizes to him for calling him Fauxhawk and tells him that he came to talk to Robby but he found Robby training Anthony LaRusso, who was his bully.
Hawk tells him that Kenny was acting like a bully the last few months, Kenny replies to him that he got corrupted by Cobra Kai, which leads to Hawk showing empathy, telling Kenny that he was also in CK, that he trashed the dojo and that he stole Mr. Miyagi’s medal of honour and tells Kenny a lesson about forgiveness, about how you must forgive your own enemies and they will show forgiveness to you. Hawk tells Kenny that he should talk with Robby Keene as he’s always cared about him and he’s worried about Kenny’s future.
Kenny talks with Robby in an emotive talk, thanking him for being his teacher and apologizing to him for failing him and Kenny joins Miyagi-fang, but Silver reminds him of the deal they made and Kenny feels forced to steal the medal of honor in a night training session with Robby. Kenny uses his stealth and in a moment Robby goes to drink or to the bathroom and he steals the medal.
The next day, everyone realizes Mr. Miyagi’s medal is missing and Sam, who thinks that Hawk was arguing with his father because he’s reverting to his defiant CK ways, publically accuses Hawk of stealing the medal of honour, and this causes a massive uproar. Miguel tries to descalate the conflict between his best friend Hawk and his girlfriend Sam but his efforts are useless and fails. Miguel is in a hard spot in the crossfire between them.
Hawk doesn’t feel trusted nor wanted at Miyagi-do, so he gets angry and quits, which is the moment Tory uses to tell him to give Kreese a second chance as Kreese’s a changed man and convince Hawk to join Cobra Kai. Kenny feels absolute regret and he’s completely remorseful after realizing what his actions have caused, so he thinks about confessing his secret to Robby and asking him for help, here there are two options, whether Kenny tells Robby in exchange for Robby keeping his secret and helping him (which it’s the one I prefer) or Kenny doesn’t say anything to Robby.
Demetri trust in Hawk’s innocence, but he feels desolated when Hawk’s defect and tries to get Hawk back into Miyagi-fang. Hawk tries to assure him that everything is alright, that “despite everything, you will always be my Binary Brother” and that being in opposite dojos doesn’t mean their friendship had to end but that he’s not going back to Miyagi-fang. Demetri is still not convinced, and he’s scared of Hawk getting manipulated by Kreese and could be reverting to his bully ways and end up breaking his arm again. Demetri also feels that he failed Hawk by not clearing his name and by letting him slide into CK again. Demetri also realizes that Sam is becoming way too overzealous.
Miguel is extremely disappointed at Hawk, says to him that Kreese has got into his head again. Hawk tries to defend his innocence and says that Kreese’s not in his mind nor he stole the medal of honour but Miguel trusts Sam’s words as he’s blinded by love and under Sam’s influence. Hawk also recriminates Miguel to be bonding with Robby more that with him and replacing him with Robby as his new best friend, so Miguel thinks Hawk is jealous and in the end Miguel leaves to avoid any conflict, stating Hawk is no longer his friend.
Hawk wants to ensure to Demetri and Miguel everything is alright and tries to persuade Kreese to make peace with Miyagi-fangs stating that they must first deal with Silver CK and that “the enemy of my enemy is your friend”. Kreese only agrees because he’s in inferiority (only has Tory and Hawk) and he sees the "peace as nothing more than a lull between battles" that could allow him to reinforce his position and gain time. They go to Miyagi-dojo to make the offer, but it gets rejected because Daniel doesn’t trust Kreese and Sam says it’s all a trick so they lower their guards. Demetri sees this as another abandonment of Miyagi principles and is worried on the negative effects this rejection and the continuation of hostilities may have on Hawk.
Hawk wants to talk in private with Demetri to ask him why are they rejecting the peace offer, and convinces Tory to stay a little bit longer, but he gets gang- surrounded by Sam and the Miyagi-fangs including Robby. Hawk point to Demetri that this is gang-assault and that if he’s gonna help him defend or side with his attackers, and Sam will say that if Hawk wants to escape unwounded he only have to give back Mr. Miyagi’s medal of honour, that’s very important for her, and that she will let him go. Hawk replies he doesn’t have the “fxcking medal, princess” but Sam doesn’t believe him as Hawk and Toryin Kreese’s CK, so Sam is going to attack him. Tory tries to intervene and gets ready to fight against Sam, but...
Demetri tries to stop Sam by talking and asking her if this isn’t too extreme, but Sam’s replies something like “Radical situations need severe punishments” and tries to attack. Robby thinks (or knows) that Hawk didn’t do it as he was training that day and knows Hawk isn’t stealthy enough due to his previous experience, and wants to stop any fight from happening because he still has feelings for Tory and Tory might get wounded, so Robby has four options: Robby could say that Hawk wasn’t stealthy enough and that he was training alone to protect Kenny and keep his secret, but it would put him as the main suspicious target, as Robby has no alibi and her girlfriend Tory is in Kreese’s CK; Robby could say that Hawk wasn’t stealthy enough and that he was training with Kenny, putting a massive target on Kenny and Kenny could feel betrayed and maybe falling even more under Silver influence; Robby could say that he’s sure that Kenny did it as he confessed, which would guarantee Kenny feeling betrayed, getting expelled out of Miyagi-fang and completely falling into Silver influence or Robby could remain in silence.

Miguel isn’t at the scene at first, but he could appear in any moment if the conflict drags and could try to mediate between Sam and Hawk, but he didn’t believe in Hawk but Sam, what could he do to solve the conflict? Miguel faces two options which are like Demetri’s: siding with the Miyagi-fangs and attacking his ex-best friend therefore betraying Hawk trust and increasing Kreese’s influence or defending Hawk and betraying Sam and the Miyagi-fangs, therefore getting a massive conflict with Sam and risking ending their love relationship.
After that, I’ll leave it with a “to be continued” because I’ve left a lot of possible routs and doors open, but whatever it happens, the mid-season should be focused in the conflict between Kreese’s CK and Silver’s CK in the CK civil war they’re having. Kim-da-eung could be conflicted and maybe she’ll play both sides, supporting both and will only choose siding openly with whoever ends up being the winning side. This should happen in the mid-season breaking-point to see who will triumph, absorb the other CK and represent CK in the Sekai Taikai. My personal preference is Silver, he has more resources than Kreese and the Sekai Taikai was his idea and his project, but I want to know your opinion.
The way I see it, a full unhinged "cocaine" Silver traps a vengeful Kreese by luring him into a meeting at Coyote Creek in a picnic like area, makes his CK (Shawn and Kenny) climb the trees and remain hidden and once Kreese’s CK arrived they throw Molotovs at them. Kreese, Tory and Hawk find cover under a stone bench, Silver makes them a phone call them asking them to voluntarily betray Kreese if they don’t want to end being burned alive and shouts with a maniac and sinister laugh “Do you remember the napalm days? Back to ‘Nam, Kreese, back to ‘Nam oh I liked that John, I liked that”. Kreese’s Vietnam PTSD is triggered massively, and he has a breakdown while he and his students are at risk. Tory is able to snap him back to reality and Kreese advises them to fully cover in mud to avoid major burns and thinks in giving up and surrender himself in order to save Tory (and Hawk, but mostly Tory), I leave the ending of the mid-season open here, use your imagination.
Something you may have noticed is that none of the CK kids are evil, Hawk is a dovish peacemaker who wants to keep his friendship with Demetri and Miguel, Tory joins CK due to loyalty to Kreese, not due to revenge or any evil intention and Kenny is forced to join in order to get his brother out of juvie. This is done on purpose so they can fully redeem in the second part of the season and leaving the door open to the teens to be able to redeem Cobra Kai, specially Tory after Kreese's sacrifice to save her. I've decided Kreese to sacrifice to save Tory and not Johnny because Kreese had a toxic relation with Johnny in which despite loving him, he choked him twice, and Johnny wants to close CK in S5 "Cobra Kai is the problem" but Kreese has never been violent or dangerous towards Tory on purpose, so I think any Kreese's redemption/sacrifice should focus on Tory.
See, that is how you write a compelling story for at least half of season 6 at without not focusing on the Sekai Taikai, because the ST shouldn’t be the main drive of the plot of S6 at least until the very end. If this season is going to have 15-16 episodes, as some people speculate, the Sekai Taikai shouldn’t become the main narrative focus at least until episode 10.

So I have decided to write a fanfic focusing on redemption characters arcs (whether failed or sucessful) and their rivals, specially Hawk-Demetri, Tory-Sam and in a minor way, Robby-Kenny (because they’re master and apprentice, not rivals). I’ve given less protagonism to Miguel and Robby on purpose because this is supposed to be only the first half of the season, and as they are the two main contenders for winning the Sekai Taikai, I want them to give room to other characters in the first half of the season and then Miguel and Robby could be the focus on the last part of the season. I also don’t want the Sekai Taikai to be the main narrative drive in the first half on the season, it should only be focused on the last part.
I've left multiple paths open so the readers can choose their favourite scenarios in a "make your own adventure" way, but I've still develop more the one which I prefer because I can't develop everyone.
Hawk should have a conflict over Robby being Daniel's favourite student, and Hawk should complain to Daniel that he's not being fairly treated as he tried to save Miyagi-do and is the male champion in S4 AVT while Robby was in CK trying to get Miyagi-do banned. Daniel won't realize he's playing favourites by prioritizing Robby- Daniel and Hawk had barely had any interaction in S4 and S5, compare this with Daniel close connection with Robby in S1, S2 and reopening the dojo in S5-.
Hawk could have two arcs, one (worse) that regresses his character into being jealous and reignites his rivalry with Robby and one (better) in which Hawk is more mature and he's instead disappointed with Daniel lying to him or denying he has favourites, in both of them Hawk could join Johnny's Eagle Fang, quit karate or maybe even joining Kreese's CK if he's demoralized and manipulated (specially if he's jealous).
Demetri could have a mediator role, trying to improve the relation between Hawk and Robby, as he's friendly with both, may try to keep Hawk in Miyagi-do, attempt to convince Daniel to spend more time with Hawk
Also, Demetri is the moral compass and the most Miyagi-like on the show so he could have also an unique conflict arc with Daniel, opposing the idea of joining the Sekai Taikai with the only purpose of stopping or destroying Cobra Kai once and for all, pointing out to Daniel that joining a world tournament to destroy another dojo -change CK name for Topanga Karate or Locust Valley- sounds insane or evil and having his first mayor fallout trust with Daniel as Demetri consider Daniel is going against Miyagi-do principles.
And maybe feeling disappointed with Daniel and Hawk conflict, or by his own conflict with Daniel, Demetri could end quitting karate with Hawk (at least for a time), which could cause Daniel to rethink and reflect on his ways.
Tory should try to redeem (and possibly fail, a failed honest redemption attempt would be new and interesting) herself and join Miyagi-Fang, but Amanda should tell her in a conversation that she only learned about her family situation in S4 thanks to Kreese. So Tory would be on a quest to find about Kreese whereabouts and would be loyal to Kreese, not because she's evil, but because she's grateful for all Kreese did for her. Tory would be the first to find Kreese and 3 scenarios may happen: that Kreese let her go and join Miyagi-fang, that Kreese recruits her into Kreese's Cobra Kai and she openly abandons Miyagi-fang or that Tory joins Kreese in secret and acts like a mole in Miyagi-fang trying to recruit some members.
This plot influences and interacts with each other, and everyhing is linked. Maybe Tory subverts Hawk, who no longer believes in Daniel, and fills him with more doubts regarding Miyagi-do (most interesting scenario), maybe she fails and get exposed. If Tory is raising any suspicion, Sam would notice it and be extremely paranoid, so I could see Sam trying to expel Tory out of Miyagi-do
Sam trying to expel Tory out of Miyagi-fang and getting into a "purge mode", trying to find all potential CK moles and casting shadow and putting blame on old CK's like Kawk, Robby or Kenny.
Tory gets expelled by Sam so Tory openly joins Cobra Kai, which causes an argument between her and Robby, with Robby threatening to break their relationship. There are three options here, whether Robby breaks with her again, Robby decides to keep their relation secret and pretend they’ve broken in public lying to the Miyagi-fangs or Robby stays with her. I’d prefer the second one, because it opens two other options, whether Robby is discovered or not. I prefer a paranoical Sam in spy mode discovering Robby for the sake of the story, but maybe the audience has any other preference.
Silver should be out of jail, he only got exposed of bribing a ref, and that's no major crime to end-up in jail. They have no evidence on Silver being behind the burning of Barnes furniture store and Stingray testimony isn't reliable. Silver should try to rebuild Cobra Kai and he could blackmail Kenny telling him that he can free his brother Shawn Payne from juvie using his lawyers if Kenny becomes a mole at Miyagi-fang and steal Miyagi-secrets and Miyagi’s medal of honour. (Silver had an interest about it in his first encounter with Mr. Miyagi in KK3.)
Kenny goes to Miyagi dojo, but watches Robby training Anthony, so he decides to go back, when in that moment he collides with Hawk. Hawk ask him what is he doing, if he's spying or has any trick upon his sleeve. Kenny apologizes to him for calling him Fauxhawk and tells him that he came to talk to Robby but he found Robby training Anthony LaRusso, who was his bully.
Hawk tells him that Kenny was acting like a bully the last few months, Kenny replies to him that he got corrupted by Cobra Kai, which leads to Hawk showing empathy, telling Kenny that he was also in CK, that he trashed the dojo and that he stole Mr. Miyagi’s medal of honour and tells Kenny a lesson about forgiveness, about how you must forgive your own enemies and they will show forgiveness to you. Hawk tells Kenny that he should talk with Robby Keene as he’s always cared about him and he’s worried about Kenny’s future.
Kenny talks with Robby in an emotive talk, thanking him for being his teacher and apologizing to him for failing him and Kenny joins Miyagi-fang, but Silver reminds him of the deal they made and Kenny feels forced to steal the medal of honor in a night training session with Robby. Kenny uses his stealth and in a moment Robby goes to drink or to the bathroom and he steals the medal.
The next day, everyone realizes Mr. Miyagi’s medal is missing and Sam, who thinks that Hawk was arguing with his father because he’s reverting to his defiant CK ways, publically accuses Hawk of stealing the medal of honour, and this causes a massive uproar. Miguel tries to descalate the conflict between his best friend Hawk and his girlfriend Sam but his efforts are useless and fails. Miguel is in a hard spot in the crossfire between them.
Hawk doesn’t feel trusted nor wanted at Miyagi-do, so he gets angry and quits, which is the moment Tory uses to tell him to give Kreese a second chance as Kreese’s a changed man and convince Hawk to join Cobra Kai. Kenny feels absolute regret and he’s completely remorseful after realizing what his actions have caused, so he thinks about confessing his secret to Robby and asking him for help, here there are two options, whether Kenny tells Robby in exchange for Robby keeping his secret and helping him (which it’s the one I prefer) or Kenny doesn’t say anything to Robby.
Demetri trust in Hawk’s innocence, but he feels desolated when Hawk’s defect and tries to get Hawk back into Miyagi-fang. Hawk tries to assure him that everything is alright, that “despite everything, you will always be my Binary Brother” and that being in opposite dojos doesn’t mean their friendship had to end but that he’s not going back to Miyagi-fang. Demetri is still not convinced, and he’s scared of Hawk getting manipulated by Kreese and could be reverting to his bully ways and end up breaking his arm again. Demetri also feels that he failed Hawk by not clearing his name and by letting him slide into CK again. Demetri also realizes that Sam is becoming way too overzealous.
Miguel is extremely disappointed at Hawk, says to him that Kreese has got into his head again. Hawk tries to defend his innocence and says that Kreese’s not in his mind nor he stole the medal of honour but Miguel trusts Sam’s words as he’s blinded by love and under Sam’s influence. Hawk also recriminates Miguel to be bonding with Robby more that with him and replacing him with Robby as his new best friend, so Miguel thinks Hawk is jealous and in the end Miguel leaves to avoid any conflict, stating Hawk is no longer his friend.
Hawk wants to ensure to Demetri and Miguel everything is alright and tries to persuade Kreese to make peace with Miyagi-fangs stating that they must first deal with Silver CK and that “the enemy of my enemy is your friend”. Kreese only agrees because he’s in inferiority (only has Tory and Hawk) and he sees the "peace as nothing more than a lull between battles" that could allow him to reinforce his position and gain time. They go to Miyagi-dojo to make the offer, but it gets rejected because Daniel doesn’t trust Kreese and Sam says it’s all a trick so they lower their guards. Demetri sees this as another abandonment of Miyagi principles and is worried on the negative effects this rejection and the continuation of hostilities may have on Hawk.
Hawk wants to talk in private with Demetri to ask him why are they rejecting the peace offer, and convinces Tory to stay a little bit longer, but he gets gang- surrounded by Sam and the Miyagi-fangs including Robby. Hawk point to Demetri that this is gang-assault and that if he’s gonna help him defend or side with his attackers, and Sam will say that if Hawk wants to escape unwounded he only have to give back Mr. Miyagi’s medal of honour, that’s very important for her, and that she will let him go. Hawk replies he doesn’t have the “fxcking medal, princess” but Sam doesn’t believe him as Hawk and Toryin Kreese’s CK, so Sam is going to attack him. Tory tries to intervene and gets ready to fight against Sam, but...
Demetri tries to stop Sam by talking and asking her if this isn’t too extreme, but Sam’s replies something like “Radical situations need severe punishments” and tries to attack. Robby thinks (or knows) that Hawk didn’t do it as he was training that day and knows Hawk isn’t stealthy enough due to his previous experience, and wants to stop any fight from happening because he still has feelings for Tory and Tory might get wounded, so Robby has four options: Robby could say that Hawk wasn’t stealthy enough and that he was training alone to protect Kenny and keep his secret, but it would put him as the main suspicious target, as Robby has no alibi and her girlfriend Tory is in Kreese’s CK; Robby could say that Hawk wasn’t stealthy enough and that he was training with Kenny, putting a massive target on Kenny and Kenny could feel betrayed and maybe falling even more under Silver influence; Robby could say that he’s sure that Kenny did it as he confessed, which would guarantee Kenny feeling betrayed, getting expelled out of Miyagi-fang and completely falling into Silver influence or Robby could remain in silence.

While they touched most major members of the Marvel Comics Universe, those mainly impacted were the X-Men (and their mutant friends). The result of House of M, which is explored in Decimation, is the Scarlet Witch using her reality warping powers and obliterating the mutant population via depowering them. She says three words and that’s it. No More Mutants. These words set off an entire era of X-Men comics and defined the line for years to come. Was it a powerful creative choice or was it an editorial mandate or both? How does it compare in tone and relevance to the modern X-titles? The answers honestly may be a bit surprising depending on your history with comics. For me I definitely buy the idea that this was editorial sidelining the merry mutants due to the (lack of) ownership of their film rights. However the landscape that emerges is surprisingly interesting and refreshing, at least at the start. House of M and the subsequent Decimation. BackgroundI want to give a bit of context about where I am coming from for this review. I have never read these stories nor the following comics until the year 2019. However I have read most everything prior to 2005. This gives me an interesting perspective because I have heard extremely mixed reactions to this story and era. I am very excited to approach it though since it does seem to be quite radically different from any prior status quo and is distinct from the modern comics in just about every way. Along with House of M I have currently read the first seven issues of X-Factor and New Excalibur as well as The 198. From these titles I was able to get a pretty good feel for the beginning of this era and was honestly pretty captivated by it at the best of times.House of MI was not impressed with the actual eponymous miniseries from Brian Michael Bendis and Oliver Coipel. The story and art were both fine, but I didn’t feel particularly moved by any of the emotion or excited by the action. The best I could say is that the concept of a world where these characters get their every wish is a bit interesting and fun overall. I found most of the joy in the initial introductions and exploration of the alternate lives of the classic heroes. It felt akin to Age of Apocalypse or Heroes Reborn, and the novelty always works for me when it is done with a bit of care. Past that the plot left me with very little until of course right at the end. No matter the quality of the book, the ending is uniquely impactful at least among X-Men comics due to the reshaping of the entire line. Lowering the mutant population down to near irrelevancy is a radical shift from the past assertions and predictions of the future for mutants. Before we have always seen many futures that involve mutant domination or the complete reverse, but never a mass ‘curing’ like this. It arguably muddies the whole mutant metaphor in some ways. Terrible events of course occur that radically reduce the number of certain oppressed groups, such as the AIDS Epidemic and the gay community. The key difference here is that the mutant population is brought down by over 90%, but those individuals are still alive. It almost resembles a version of sterilization based eugenics that have been done throughout the history of the US, but that’s a pretty thin comparison at times I think. It feels like a very comic book magic based situation, which is not an inherently bad thing. The X-Men sometimes are at their best when the metaphor is used quite loosely and can be applied to a variety of experiences. Of course you run the risk of being too generic or making too broad of generalizations, but you’ll always need a good writer for a good story, you know what I mean? The status quo of the mutants having less numbers and thus less power has potential, and is a stark contrast to everything published post House of X/Powers of X. Also the idea of radical bigots identifying a sub group within an already minority community and viciously pushing for their eradication is pretty relevant in the year 2023. There’s never going to be perfect showcases of these types of themes in a Marvel superhero comic (especially when they are created by such a predominantly white cis heterosexual male demographic), but this setup at least feels new. Finishing House of M, I was more excited to explore the world of the X-Men than I had for the last probably 10 years of publication history.DecimationAfter the Scarlet Witch did her deed, the subsequent storylines in most X-Books was branded as Decimation and were centered on the mutants dealing with the fallout of their population reduction. I read three series to start and I believe I did them in chronological -ish order. The first was X-Men: The 198, a limited series about the Xavier mansion becoming a government internment camp for the surviving mutants. This one had some of the highest highs, but many of the lowest lows as well. I followed that with 7 issues of X-Factor and New Excalibur. These are both establishing legacy teams in a way that is comparable to their past roots, but revamped for the new era. Bringing back longtime writers Peter David and Chris Claremont may not seem like the best way to refresh the line, but it felt to me like they had matured as writers and were ready to deal with a more dire tone.ConclusionThe initiative to bring the number of mutants way down, whether editorially backed or not, is an opportunity to explore some new stories. An intimate mutant network should help to make the multiple books in the line feel more connected and impactful to each other. In the best case scenario it would also help facilitate overarching storylines that exist in this shared world. I have no idea if the books will pay any of this off, but I have a renewed enthusiasm to delve into the X-Men universe of this time. Sorry for long post but the background is relevant.
I'm looking for a sense check on some worries/wobbles I'm having about my house purchase. Timeline is that we had our offer accepted a couple of weeks ago, survey complete but waiting on report. When I first saw the house I had a minor concern about the neighbouring property (it's attached to the house I'm buying on a high street - both Victorian terrace). It looked pretty shabby compared to the house I offered on - cracked front step, shabby unpainted door etc.
I did some research and established the neighbouring propert is 2 tiny flats - a studio on the ground floor and a 1 bed on the first floor. This wasn't obvious on first inspection because the first floor is accessed via a staircase at the back (via an alleyway past our house's garden). I found photos from a prior Rightmove rental listing of the studio on the ground floor and it's pretty miserable (as studios often are) but nothing terrible.
I've researched the owner of the flats and established it is a landlord. I found out the landlord applied successfully for planning permission in October last year to add a 3m ground floor extension to turn the studio into a 1 bed and and also a loft conversion to turn the first floor into a 2 bed. Now the planning permission/building works is not ideal but I think I can live with that disruption.
My concerns centre around the landlord and tenants (specifically on the ground floor). I drove past the house yesterday and noticed that the front door of the ground floor flat was wide open. Coincidentally someone came out as I was looking (presumably the/one of the tenants). He walked up the road and then engaged 2 street drinkers in a lengthy conversation, clearly as though friends - yes i followed him a bit, creepy i know.....Upon leaving he left the door wide open (either didn't care about security or another person occupying it too, I assumed). I drove past 4 hours later and the door was still wide open and nobody to be seen.
Today, to try to gather further info I chatted with the business owner next door to the flats (other side to my house) and he wasn't favourable about the landlord of the flats at all. He said that the landlord was "bad" and not the kind of landlord they wanted round here. He said all he cares about is developing the property and putting in as many bedrooms as possible to make money. I asked him about the door being open and he said there was no lock on the front door so the occupants just left it open. He suggested that 2 men are cohabiting in the studio (not in a relationship, by implication). He said they were "weird" whatever that means. He also suggested illegal subletting was going on. He then said the landlord wouldn't fix their door, and used this as evidence of him being a bad landlord too. Now he probably isn't impartial, given he, for example, opposed the landlord's recent planning application, but also I see no reason for him to try to mislead me - his business has been there for decades.
I saw that the entire lock cylinder was missing on the flat door as I walked past. I've also now noticed that our house has 2 Ring CCTV cameras - one appears to be looking down the road towards the neighbour's flat door and one in the communal alley via which the first floor flat is accessed (this runs alongside the house I'm buying). This has made me wonder if the seller has been having issues with occupiers of the 2 flats but I could be overthinking this?
To be clear, this is a nice area in leafy West London but I am obviously now pretty concerned about the landlord and particularly the tenants. I'm no snob, I don't care what people get upto, but I'm planning to move into the new house with my partner and infant child and obviously don't want to have neighbour issues - noise, ASB, security issues etc. Really worried if the neighbour could bring back street drinkers to his flat as well. Is the ground floor flat just a doss house given there's no lock? And why was the lock removed?
Especially if the landlord doesn't seem to care then if we complained to him presumably he'd do nothing. Im worried this could ruin what is meant to be a nice thing. I assume some of this will come out via the seller's questionnaire, unless they lie, which I hear is not uncommon.
So there are clear red flags here, the question is are they enough to withdraw? We really like the house and particularly the garden, and the price is quite good for the area. The house was previously listed twice in the last 18 months but withdrawn both times - I asked the agent about this and he said the seller pulled out of one chain as it was taking too long, and the second time he decided he didn't like the previous estate agent. But I'm now wondering if this is untrue but again, could be overthinking it.
I think my next steps are to await survey results, then the seller's questionnaire and see if it comes up. Then either go and knock on the neighbour's flat door myself and speak with them and size them up or arrange a chat with the seller to have a candid conversation with him (estate agent has already suggested this pre my concerns arising). Another option is to tell the estate agent about our concerns but not sure if this will help really. I'm trying to research with the local police if there's any ASB issues with the flats too - no joy so far. I also have a (perhaps naive) hope that the extensions of the property might precipitate the landlord to get in some slightly nicer tenants - this could be wishful thinking.
My seller has lived in the house for 10 years as an owner occupier, so clearly has been able to tolerate any issues with the neighbors, if there were/are any. But perhaps things have gone downhill recently.
We obviously will share an internal wall with both the ground floor and first floor flats.
Any views welcome from people on what else I could do, and whether I'm an idiot for not simply running a mile because of this. As you'll all know, it's hard to kiss goodbye to a house when you're some way through the process.
TLDR: Person in neighbouring flat to house I'm buying may not be an ideal neighbour. Do I pull out over this?

In this game I remember that you had to reach a isolated island full of secrets after you archeologist aunt(?) dies. I remember that there were 4 holy Mary statues that represented the 4 seasons and if you gave them a gem they would change the world to the according season. The order to fill them was (I think) spring winter fall and lastly summer. I remember the hardest puzzle was a circle of golden snakes that had to be rotated to form a code. The start was in front of the spring statue and right after there were 3 path, left one lead to a pond, middle one to a tree house and right I really can’t remember maybe some medieval riuns(?). The ending was in a lab under the start and I remember being a small isolated island who was unlocked by walking on a trail of stones just above the water and a puzzle in which you had to break some vase(?). I played it a lot during my childhood and I’d love to play it again. Thank in advance for the help

I just witnessed one or the most awful episodes of my life. My dad is depressed and suicidal, working frantically at 62 to keep the family afloat. My nmom only watches TV and goes to social events.
My nmom asked my dad to move the TV to another place in the room. My dad accidentally bumped this huge tv into a table. The screen broke.
My nmom started yelling frantically, screaming and asking my dad to jump off the balcony because he broke the tv. Saying he did it on purpose, to hurt her, to bring her down with him, and demanding payback with his life - "You broke the TV so you need to kill yourself now and leave me finally alone". She didn't stop until my dad was crying on the floor, absolutely broken. She then provided comfort in a soft voice and told him it wasn't his fault - it was mine because I had borrowed the HDMI cable.
Then she started shaming me, saying how I was a terrible daughter and how all her friends thought I was a failure because I didn't work in construction like she used to (I'm a fairly successful economist who lives alone with a high salary and a good, stable job). She started attacking me saying that by my age she had bought a house, and that me and my dad were parasites, and that her friends called me "the mentally challenged daughter" because I didn't work with her and I decided to carve my own path and independence.
I have fight response, I tried to reign in but I snapped when she asked my dad to commit suicide and then when she insulted me. Now my dad doesn't want to talk to me because she made him believe I don't care about them and that I'm the villain. I can't help him if he won't talk to me.
I don't know why I'm posting here. I grabbed a kitchen knife because I had an impulse to cut myself (I never did so far but I always have the impulse after witnessing this type of abuse). I thought that if I put my focus into posting here then I maybe I could distract myself before self harming myself. It worked. So thank you for listening community.
I feel so helpless. I don't know how to help my father. I can't go no contact because they're a package deal. If any of you have ideas on how I can limit my contact with her but still help my dad please let me know. I only see her because of him. I don't want to lose him. I'm afraid that she will drive him to either suicide or an early stress death. Im extremely worried. Also guilty for feeling nothing else but deep seated hatred towards my own mother.
Will really appreciate your insights. Thank you for listening. I post here anonymously because I can't bring myself to let anybody close to me know how abusive my mother really is and how much of a hard time I've always had.

I (24 F) live at home with my mum and dad. We have several cats, all who are rescues, 3 who come and go from the house and one who lives in a Cattery (cat kennel) outside.
Recently up at the field we lian for the horses, there's a 9 strong colony of feral cats, 7 adults 2 kittens. We've been slowly gaining their trust by feeding them, and today I managed to trap one of the kittens (Who I've named Bobby/ie. Y if boy ie if girl). We had just come back from a horse riding lesson, and my mum wanted me to release it since she thought it was "too young to take away from its mother". The thing is, my Aunty R rescues and trapps cats to get then neutered/spayed and found homes, and she's said that as long as it's eating solid food -which Bobs is- then they can be brought in. It even started eating food in it's cage when we got it home! It's in the Cattery since its used to being outside and we hope that the Feral (Fern) will help it to calm down.
The part where I might be TA is because of my mum.
My mum gas an opinion, and that's fine, but I told her what my plans were for the kittens and she said she wasn't getting involved... but she has! She has been shouting at me because "Who's going to feed it?" (Me obviously) and "It shouldn't be away from it's mum!" (Despite Ve, our current 2 year old cat, coming home with us at 7 weeks and exactly the same as this kitten).
I asked my dad if he'd help me set up the cage and he said yes, but of course, being the control freak she is, mum had a complete melt down, while I was on the phone to Aunty R to make sure we were setting the cage up right, and started screeching demands at my dad.
If this all wasn't bad enough, she then brought the horse box onto the drive in a way that blocked my dads car from getting in, is refusing to move it and has hidden the keys.
AITA for catching these kittens and having my mum scream at me even though she said she wasn't getting involved?

So I’ve been trying to remember the title of this book for the longest time. This was a zombie book. It started out with the guy escaping prison with other survivors. He was fixing a car to use for an escape and got bitten by a zombie. The group leaves him because they assume that he will succumb to the infection. They leave him with a gun and a couple of rounds. He ends up finding an rv which is supposed to be the place that he will die. But before he can shoot himself he passes out do to the fever. A few days later he wakes up and realizes he’s not a zombie. Then he walks into the woods and finds out the group that left him got destroyed. He then finds a tree house with a giant in it who is also super smart and they share a couple beers and try to survive together until a group of humans discover them and force them to run away. They become pretty much inseparable after this. Sorry for my vague recollection of how this went but I hope someone can tell me the title of this book.

2023.06.03 20:50 raven_0_3 I'm isolating myself from the people I'd need the most right now.
For context: I (19) have a longer history of mental struggles and made lots of bad experience in life. As a child I always felt different and as I do not really belong anywhere. I already needed lots if time for myself did not socialize much and people around me always gave me the feeling that something is wrong with me like I'm acting weird or like I'm too sensitive or emotional in lots of situation. My mother often made me feel weird or silly and I made experiences with being excluded by people my age. On top I also got physical problems because of chronic illness which weren't diagnosed for a long time and got worse. Because all of my problems people implied that I'm a burden I also often got the feeling that it is my fault that I'm causing all this struggle and I began to think about myself as a bad person. I moved out of my mother's house at the age of 17 because the situation escalated and I became more careful with who I call my friends. The time I moved out I got lots of support from my teachers and friends who did not blame my for anything that went wrong because of my physical health and mental struggles and I learned to accept myself a little bit more and care about my needs. The last month things got worse again. One and a half year ago I needed to repeat the schoolyear so I got in a new class which was lager than my old one and I did not know anybody. I still had my friends who supported me but things got more complicated. Then half a year ago my health got worse again and there where a few incidents at school. Nothing I could have controled but it interrupted the lessons and I was told that it would distract my classmates from their graduation. I had severe difficulties to deal with the struggles my health caused me and the doctors did not really help me again even after I needed an ambulance. I was very desperate and felt left alone. The next month I also had my final exams and it was a real struggle. I got pretty negative thoughts again some of the worst one where like "it would be better for everyone if I would end everything" or "nobody truly likes me or will ever like me I do not even belong to this world". In this time a also felt ignored by one of my friends and talked to her later and she was really sorry about it. The reason was that she got into a relationship and had her whole attention there but because she seemed to be really sorry I wanted not to think about it too much. Right now I do not have regular school anymore because the exams are almost over so I'm only irregularly in school and have lots of time. I spend lots of this time alone and I can feel how the isolation damages me. Earlier I sometimes called friends when things got too bad and I needed someone to talk and mostly they where very supportive. Now I'm isolating myself more and more. I also struggle because I deal with a really difficult aspect of my past in therapy right now. It's about the relationship to my dad and that he was the most important person in my life but got me often in situations that where dangerous or caused me pain. But back to my friends: I have currently very negative thoughts about myself and the relation to other people. I thought that ot would be good for me to contact someone because I feel how being lonely affects my mental health. I got more struggle to sleep and my sensory issues got so bad that being at a place with more people is really hard to stand. I had sensory issues my whole life but right now I'm even much more sensitive because the stuff that goes on in my head already overwhelms me so everything around me is just way too much. The days I went to school the last weeks (to prepare for my exams or organize other stuff) I sometimes met some of my friends and they asked if I'm okay because I probably acted more weird than usual. I just told them that everything's alright because it would have been to much for me to talk honestly in this situation but of course I could barely deal with the situation. Even though loneliness affects me in a bad way I'm barely able to socialize. The bad thoughts taking over. I feel worthless and sometimes think that those people do not really like me and that I only get attention because they feels pity for me or they feel like they need to talk to me because of social convention. I started to feel bad by contacting them because I thought I might annoy them or wasting their time and that I'm not worth it to get any attention. I'm also often afraid of making them angry or upset with anything I do. I also know that some mental illness like depression or social anxiety can make you think in this way of yourself and other people even if there is no reason to think like that about the situation. I'm just very confused right now and do not know what I should do or think about that. I'm kind of hating myself for my weird behavior. I think that it could really help me to have more contact so I do not feel so lonely anymore but I also have all of this negative thoughts and feelings and even if they might not be appropriate they are there and I do not know what I can do against it.

Hey furries, u/The-Woop hasn't made one of these in a little bit. I've always liked these posts so I thought that I'd help him out again by taking over until he gets back. I hope everyone stays safe and has an amzing Pride Month!!
Users have sometimes stated that it is difficult to express their sorrows or misfortunes on this sub because they do not want to feel burdensome or unwelcome in what is normally a very happy-go-lucky environment. And so, this thread is to encourage furs to open up with their issues, not only on here but on the sub as a whole. If grief has been on your mind or something has been bothering you as of late, big or small, please leave a comment for myself and others to see if we can be of any help, or at least lend a sympathetic ear.
Alternatively, if you feel pretty nice about yourself today, don't be afraid to browse any existing comments and see if you can make somebody's day a little better. Maybe you have experience with what that person might be dealing with. Or perhaps you just want to let them know that they have a person to talk to. However, there are the principles that should be considered:
1:If you are responding to a comment do your best to be as thorough and insightful as possible. Do not just comment and forget about the other person afterward. While little pick-me-ups can help, do your best to be there for the other person. Encourage discussion and do not be afraid to have more in depth conversations. The comment section is always fine, but if either of you feel that you must talk in a more private setting, do not be afraid to use something such as PM, or a different instant messaging service.
2: I am aware that unfortunately, misfortune does not have a curfew. This thread is not in any way meant to contain negative emotion on the sub, but is meant to be a convenient place for others to open up and find somebody to talk to. If you experience strife at any other time during the week, do not feel like you must wait until Saturday to state it. Please feel free to make your own post.
3:This thread is not meant to replace professional help. If you feel that you could have depression or any other similar psychological condition, you are still invited to post, but it is highly recommended that you seek a form of professional help as well as look into the resources below.
4: Suffering is not a competition. Do not feel like your issues are too slight, or insignificant to post. You are invited to express your problems no matter their scale. Your sadness is just as valid as any others.
