I feel like I need to post here because I don't feel like I can be truthful with anyone in my life at the moment
I've been shutting down recently and it only just clicked to me why. Shutting down was how I coped when I was a child and didn't feel safe and didn't know what to expect from those around me. And the way my husband is acting at the moment, I am being reminded of my childhood.
It's not even as simple as just confront him on it. My MIL is currently being tested fir cancer. She's a very sick woman with a history of tumours abd all the signs seem to be pointing to this is stage 4 cancer. She also has a brain injury and so is not dealing well with it, so mp y husband and his sister are doing all they can to support her.
On top of that we have a 5 month old who has decided sleep is for the week, and as my husband has been off from work this week, he has done the lions share of the sleepless nights despite my protests as I have fibromyalgia. So he's sleep deprived and trying to come to terms with his mother's illness.
We also have not been intimate since my son was conceived because of my CPTSF and its really fucking with his head.
So when he is snapping at me and being mean, I know this isn't him. I have known him nearly a decade both romantically but also first as friends. I know this is just too much all at once, and fighting back is just going to make everything worse. So when he criticises me incessantly or compares me to my abuser, I just stop talking. Because I don't know what I am going to get from him anymore, which is exactly how I felt growing up
I don't feel like I can tell my best friend because her mum (a mother figure to me) passed away in December and she's buying her first house currently, she has too much of her own stuff. I also feel bad about talking about my MIL in case it retraumatises her which means I can't talk to anyone about it. Because when I expressed to my husband how I feel about it, he made a comment about making it about me when it's his mum. I am aware that neither MIL or my friends mum where mine, but they were more nurturing than my own and I still feel that co Necton to them
On top of this, I am finally about to get some proper trauma treatment after 3 years of waiting. I'm on step 2 of the 6 step assessment and if they font think I am stable enough, I won't be offered treatment. So I a. Hesitant to even rk yo my mental health team about it
I'm just feeling alone in this, thought I'd come to a community that might understand. I think im just hoping to hear something back, I'm not sure what though.

For context; we went to the same college and even graduated together on June 1st.
I got this girls instagram at the beginning of May and we started talking since. We were both in the same Spanish class and really started talking when our professor put us in the same group and just been talking since. We're both Indian and listen to the same music, have similar taste in humor, and even sent each other reels all day everyday, and timely texts. Probably like 2-8 mins per text. Everything was great, calls, FaceTime at night, confiding in each other, talking sexually with each other, the whole 9. I FaceTimed her for the first time the day of graduation (after). She was even getting jealous when like my coworker was talking to me while we were on FaceTime and I quickly rushed out of there because she was getting jealous it was very cute. It was amazing, she was happy I was making her laugh, and fell asleep at like 2:30am. She pushed me to exercise more, (she goes to the gym a lot and has a really fit body) and was pushing me to exercise more and just be fit. Even motivated me, I'm more in the chubbier side 5'11 212 and have been going to play basketball, even said some cute stuff like there goes my NBA star. She even pointed me out to her mom at graduation and I showed my mom her as well; really felt like this girl was feeling me.
The next morning and afternoon was still great, texting me. But I realized at night she was being pretty dry to me. No reels, no endearing texts, and I found myself to be texting a lot with low end answers from her. Her texts took longer to respond and this made me pretty sad; I went to go play some basketball at night time, and still very dry. She texted me that she's drunk at home making pizza, so I was entertaining her with that until I fell asleep waiting for her to respond since she took a while, saying something along the lines of stay safe drunk [insert her name]. And then she texted me an hour later at like 1:30am saying I miss you.
Fast forward to yesterday morning, she texted me Good morning how did I sleep? And I told her I slept alright, I missed you too and wish you were here by my side (I know some corny shit😂) But the whole afternoon was just literally dry no texts at all, she said she was out when I asked if she wanted to hang out. I said it's cool. I saw her post on instagram, looked like she was at a gala event with family. And then last night, I was waiting a while for her to respond, and it's weird when I didn't send any flirty reels, she responded versus when I sent one funny flirty reel and this morning she just hearted the message and has left me on seen since.
Basically my question is if it's normal for girls to switch up and I guess lose feelings pretty quick. We weren't official but we were talking about it and even were referring to one another as bf and gf to other people. She even pointed me out to her mom. Just really confused cause it really sucks right now; if anyone can provide any insight i would appreciate it, and I'd be happy to provide more context if I wasn't specific before which I apologize for.

Just relieved the LE in orange. Glad I got orange. I was shocked shooting it in my backyard. Never seen or hear an sd hd etc but this was damn near if not as loud as a real gun. The sound alone would be a major deterrent and also draw the attention of every cop around. I watched this entire series and am aggravated for a multitude of reasons. Obviously, the content is very aggravating, but the way the docuseries was edited and paced was also fucking horrible. It's honestly on-par with the quality and care of true crime mukbangs.

The entire first half of the series is from the father's point of view. Having seen the latter half, where it's basically been confirmed that she was indeed a child, I think doing this was horrible. Either they were actually entertaining his ideas, or they were using him as bait of sorts so that people can be shocked when they present the supposed truth later on. Not only that, but they do not pursue enough expert opinions throughout the entirety of the series. They show a discussion with a doctor near the end.

Did anyone else feel like it was seriously disappointing that they don't consult with any doctors that have been removed from the situation? Doctors that work specifically with different kinds of dwarfism? Psychologists? CHILD psychologists? I'm not even in the psych field but a lot of the behavior described is very clear to me that she definitely had behavioral issues due to the environments she has been in! Orphanages and being adopted multiple times would no doubt cause some sort of abandonment issues at the very least. No less in a family that sees their son as a cash cow. Along with that, the entire thing about her being physically developed made me so angry. Is it possible she was a few years older than claimed? Maybe. It is also possible that dwarfism (a condition that impacts development) could also contribute to a slightly earlier puberty? I think so. But we can't know because they don't even question what is told by this Shane Dawson-adjacent father. They don't even get a child psychologist to talk about the potential developments that occur from childhood SA (which conveniently line up with a lot of Natalia's actions).

I also found the conversations with the neighbors to be ridiculous. All of them talking about how evil and eerie and abandoned special needs child is. Letting this old hag go on for almost an hour about how crazy she was and how she was preying on her grandchildren very much aggravated me. All of the behavior they are describing is soooo self-explanatory for a child-- let alone a child in the environments she was in. She knew no boundaries because she was never taught them and had no adults in her life. Even when the old lady caught her in her house, all she was doing was looking for food? If she was a grown adult looking to be malicious, why would she be getting food, and why would she just accept that she was wrong when getting caught? It doesn't make sense. The editing of this doc, and keeping so many of these people's comments makes me sick. It is so disrespectful to this little girl who has been through so much. The entire thing about this that doesn't make sense is that even if Natalia was indeed 22, mentally it was VERY clear to me even in the short videos we see that she was mentally still a child. It makes absolutely no sense why they have all these people coming on camera to talk poorly about someone that was an abandoned child. Was the intent to villainize them as well?

Another layer of this is just the gall of opening these wounds for Natalia. This girl was gaslit so much throughout her childhood. And now we are giving a platform to her abusers. Millions of people are tuning in to hear the "perspective" of her abuser while he abdicated all responsibility. It makes me sick to my stomach. I've seen so many people discussing this docuseries that have seemed to miss so much information; there are many discussions I've seen misrepresenting parts of the doc and saying "well I think this is proof she's a grown adult." Just sooo irresponsible.

Am i the only one who has such strong body dysmorphia i have no idea what i look like anymore?
I cannot tell if im obese, fat, overweight, chubby, thick boned. I just have no idea anymore.
I have severe body dysmorphia, and i can genuinely see myself get bigger everyday especially after each meal. But this is getting out of control rn. I obsess over mirrors and windows outside, i can't stop checking how i look in any reflection, even spoon reflections or shadow reflections. People usually say i just look chubby/overweight nowhere near to looking obese or unhealthy. But then again i have "friends" "joking" around comparing me to cows or the 600lbs sisters.
I am extremely confused about myself, i don't know where i fit anymore, some people make me feel like i look good some people make me feel like i look terrible. I try hard to guess myself how i really look, i measure my body, and then put the tape infront of me to see how fat i look to others, or i put my hands on the sides of my waist then put them infront of me and guess if thats how fat i look.
Because obviously i am convinced that shadows, mirrors, windows any reflections of me are distorted and none show how i really look well except the ones where i look the fatter. I tend to cry telling myself those are the accurate ones. Phones and cameras are even worse, in some i look horrible and fat, and in some i look very good and healthy, obv i feel like a catfish in photos and videos where i look great.
Point is, I'm confused and i wanna hear from others if im not alone, if this is part of body dysmorphia? Is it some other mental illiness? I just dont know what i am anymore.

My point is if sepearation is concensual, then how seeing me is an extramarital affair on moral grounds.. I felt cheap after hearing that . Please tell me what should i do .

I live in the city near Amish country. I'm about a 20 minute drive from at least a dozen puppy mills. My partner drives an electric bike to work and found what he believed to be a male yorkie (bless his heart) deceased in a hit and run in March. He asked me if I wanted him and of course I did but I had already taken my sleeping medication and he had to get to work so she was outdoors in 45-54F temps until 8am when she was dropped off at my apartment and put on ice. Once I got her I told my partner that she was definitely some variety of shepherd mix and is a girl so I took to calling her Astolfo.

I examined her body today and included some pics of what are the most damaged areas on her. Aside from removing from ticks and having an obviously mangled face, she looks surprisingly good. No signs of bloat or other bugs. Blood was/is fresh red. If I am able to preserve her I'd sew her eyes shut since there's no saving them and I'd also wire her jaw. I want to have her curled up like she's sleeping. Yes I am aware this is ridiculously ambitious for a first project. No I will not start with something easier. I have to help her. I hope you understand.

Here's a link to the pictures I included. TW for the obvious. Most people don't think she's beautiful right now and that's okay. Her one ear shows some blood inside, her eyes seemed to be obliterated then frozen over, some teeth are knocked loose and her jaw looks broken. Two of her nipples look peculiar which is what I'm most concerned about being the potential early sign of decay.

NOTE: The small teeth looking things are gravel I used to weigh down the puppy pad before I got her frozen body out there. They are not part of her body.

During my most recent bender, I somehow lost one of my most favorite earrings. I looked at photos throughout the night to triangulate where it could have gone, and deduced it most likely fell off at one of the bars I visited during the night.
So I drove there, and asked the bartender if anyone turned it in to the lost and found. Shit. No luck.
I was a little devastated, to be honest. They don’t make these earrings anymore.
Aside from my lost jewelry, it was otherwise turning out to be a nice night. The weather was beautiful and it had been about a week since I’d been out and social, near the buzz of people. It was also a full moon.
So I ordered a tonic water, got comfy at a table, and decided to make a little list called “Alcohol Co$t Me”. I’d like to say I made good headway into this list, but I was quickly distracted by random bar patrons looking for a place to sit and drink. If I’m being honest, half of me was annoyed, but the other half was intrigued. I couldn’t remember the last time I’d been sober at the bar long enough to talk to drunk people. So talking to them, watching them be vulnerable, and distracted, and sloshy, it was a surreal experience. Did I used to act that way? Had I been unknowingly pushing people away with my honesty? Was I also too raw in my vulnerability over feeling alone? And was that loneliness real, or was it the alcohol numbing me?
I did meet some lovely people. A drunk nurse showed me nudes of his ass, and lamented that it’s shrinking, even tho he never trains it. I met a saltwater aquarium enthusiast who told me how to keep my coral alive. I also leant an ear to a grieving older man, trying to re renter the world after losing his husband to cancer. (Funnily enough, I had actually met all of these people before. I just was too blackout to remember. Life is funny that way.)
It was a learning experience, for sure. Lovely all the same, but it felt like a sweet goodbye. Goodbye to the chaos, the blasting music, and the thrill of the hookup. Goodbye to the compulsion to obliterate my mind. Hello to reality, good bad and ugly.
As for me right now, I’m over here sitting pretty still feeling shaky. Getting night sweats, feeling shaky, fighting waves of fatigue and confusion. Sex is overstimulating and my skin often feels like it’s crawling. I’m moving back home to re-center and gain some weight. Alcohol did a lot of damage, but I’m confident in my recovery. I’m so grateful to my family for being there for me so I can start over. And I’m grateful to you all for bolstering my resolve with your stories and support

The first episode of Boardwalk empire premiered damn near in 2010, it doesn’t sound really sound long ago to me but it’s the same equivalent to the year 2000 to 2013 which is crazy to me. What do you think Boardwalk empire would be like if it was made today in 2023? I definitely don’t think the quality of the show would be as it was due to very touchy subjects, agendas, and the streaming service boom. Streaming services got big while boardwalk empire was in its run but now it’s insert company and add a + at the end. I don’t think the show would have made 5 seasons either. What do you think?

So many years ago I was sexually assaulted and given gonorrhea. Due to the circumstances I wasnt able to get immediate medical attention for myself and by the time I had medical assistance it had already destroyed my fallopian tubes. Anyways, husband and I went thru one round of IVF to get pregnant. Turns out we are super fertile when you remove the fallopian tube obstacle.
20 eggs, 16 mature, 15 fertilized...and all 15 made it to day 5. We got pregnant and I had an awful pregnancy and nearly died. Doctor has informed me getting pregnant again is not a wise choice. So now we have 13 embryos.
I wish I financially and physically could handle giving birth to the remaining 13 but I can't. I care about them and want to give them the best I can in the circumstances. So...here I am.
Both sides of our families know about what's going on and are open to having whatever relationship the kiddos want. I'm wondering what is best for them so wanted to come here to ask--in a perfect world, what do you wish would have happened?
I've read studies where 100% of donor babies wish they knew their health history so we absolutely intend to write it down for each kiddo. But what else?
Do you wish you had a photoablum of your bio parents? Do you wish you had handwritten letters from them? Do you wish you knew your origin story as a little kid instead of learning as an adult?do you wish there were yearly picnics with your bio family and other bio siblings?
I know perfect worlds dont exist because in a perfect world I'd be a whole lot younger and richer and could carry all embryos to term, but I'd like to do as much as I can for them as possible to help them.
I appreciate any insight youd be willing to give me.

I haven’t played in 20 years, and would like to give it a shot again. Looking for good places to check out near Denver. I’d love to be able to rent a solid marker, or if someone wants to take me and loan me gear, I’ll pay for paint.

I don’t know what it is about my dog but other dogs pick on him. He hangs around other dogs of the same age and breed and they don’t have these issues. Today we went on a walk at a popular park and dogs walking the opposite way kept lunging at him and it’s not like he was trying to interact with them at all. A few of them were able to make contact and be yelped a few times. In the last third of the walk he just started to hide behind me when any dog was near.
I’m worried he’ll become fearful. He’s such a happy go lucky, friendly dog. He has puppy energy and I know that can be annoying but sometimes he’s just minding his own business and dogs will lunge for him. But the other dogs I was with were entirely left alone. Everyone kept commenting “wow my dog never does that”, etc
Henry is 8 months, male, mini dachshund. Possibly the least intimidating dog ever.
This is just one example but this happens to him at puppy play class and just other random times. What could it be? And how can I ensure he doesn’t become afraid of other dogs?

So exactly what the title says a guy asked me to date him and I told him no and just said he isn’t my type. But let me explain from the very beginning before I even knew him.
So last year in about September of 2022 I was going through a little weird faze but it was just me(H-22f) and this guy(J-26m)going out then just having s** afterwords. We both were on board no strings attached cause we both were not ready for a relationship.
Near the end before calling it off from both sides T(25m) came into the picture due to a friend of mine. We hang out with mutual friends but that’s about it. Well one day T came up to me and just started conversatin and we just became friends. We just kept in touch here and there.

Weeellll I didn’t care to tell him me and him were already friends and just left it at that but that same day we both came to the conclusion to stop screwing around.
Well not months later T asks me if I wanna date him. I told him no due to not being my type but it’s actually cause I screwed his brother. I'm starting college on August 27th and I've never had a car before. With my parent's financial situation I'm completely alone in buying a car, so I have been working my ass off during high school and now summer.
I have around $1.3k saved up towards a car but I'm looking at fb marketplace and cars are really expensive on there. I'm working more to get as much money as I can before college starts, but I'm not sure what kind of cars to look into, if I should look at online stores or dealerships, or even if I have a strong base to buy one at the moment or in the very near future.
If someone could let me know where to look, or what options there are towards buying my first car I would really appreciate it. Thank you.
