Posted a few weeks ago about my .22 cal mod 95 vortex no longer firing due to a depressurized gas ram. Also posted the other day about some issues I was having with the repair.
I just wanted to follow up and say thanks to everyone that gave me advice and tips.
After a lot of cussing and frustration I finally got it back together and working!
The end cap with safety did not want to quite align right and really fought me the whole time. The safety trigger with the spring and plastic bb are a huge pain in the ass too. The quattro trigger kind of fell apart on me in the process and a bit of a nightmare to reassemble. Thankfully there's a guy on YouTube that has some really helpful vids about the quattro trigger and Hatsan rifles in general.
I got it all buttoned up the first time and it would cock but not lock into the open/broken position so I had to take it back apart, turns out the trigger seer was misaligned. Got that sorted out and reassembled and it's finally working. Dieseled like hell for the first few shots, but now it seems to be firing well. Definitely feels tight and powerful again. Going to give it a good cleaning and zero it in tomorrow. Put a bunch of pellets through it to make sure everything's working right.
It was a pain in the ass but a great learning experience! I now feel confident enough to do some maintenance/upgrades on my air rifles.

Cartel (or alternatively as “Cartel: Palm City” or "Cartel: Miami" ) would be an open world title based on the Mafia Games, the GTA games and the Saints Row games, with elements of Battlefield: Hardline thrown in with an array of weapons and vehicles based on their real life counterparts.
Gameplay wise the driving would be like Need for Speed titles, and on foot and shooting mechanics like BF: Hardline and Saints Row. Plus you can customize your cars and weapons to the same extent in BF: 2042 and some cars would allow for mounted weapons,on foot you can execute people with your equipped weapon like in The Godfather games. On foot would be an FPS view (you can change to a third person view as well) same with having an FPS view in your car.
There would an single player experience point system (like in BF Hardline single player) you gain XP from killing gangsters, and cops blowing up or capturing enemy vehicles and completing main missions, side missions and activities also there will be 15 levels to achieve with each level up unlocking new weapons, vehicles and customization for your weapons and vehicles. As well as a New Game Plus (NG+) where everything you unlocked is carried over and you can also play on the higher difficulties through NG+.
Also there would be five wanted levels for police and five vendetta levels for the gangs should you reach level five gang vendetta you start a Gang War there are three ways to stop a Gang War either bribe the feds, blow up a gang stronghold, or hide out in a safe house. Police wanted levels one and two local units would come after the player, at police wanted level two or three the state police would come after the player. At wanted level four and five the feds would come after the player. The military will only come after the player if they trespass in Fort Rockport or the Palmount Naval Shipyard
The Storyline
In Cartel: Palm City; in a different universe and timeline where there's a total prohibition of all narcotics in the United States in 2010; tells the story of Jack Rourke (the player character) a hardworking rideshare driver at day and a street racer at night who's scraping by in Palm City circa 2019. One fateful night, Jack Rourke has an inadvertent brush with the Blackwell Syndicate (mainly Carl Stoddard and that showcases a life of reward too big to ignore. As he joins the Blackwell Syndicate who are fighting for control of Palm City against five other criminal groups and take the city for the Blackwell Syndicate including recovering evidence that could not only convict the Blackwell Syndicate, as well as a network of crime lords in many countries, (including the other gang’s backers) including the Blackwell Syndicate's backers the Mob and it would also directly implicate the CIA in Palm City’s drug trade with Jack Rourke earning the nickname “El Sicario” for his efforts in driving the other gangs out of Palm City. When he learns how much the drugs were hurting the people of Palm City and all over the country as well as learning that the Blackwell Syndicate had gotten into the drug trade themselves, he contacts FBI agent Chase Linh who relays the story to her and offers the evidence and his testimony in exchange for full immunity for him and his associates, and the evidence on the computer was enough to convict everyone form all the five gangs, but also their crime lord backers from at least half a dozen countries, as well implicating the CIA in this as well as lobbying efforts to keep all narcotics prohibited, leading to a new administration repealing the Narcotics Prohibition law and legalizing low level cannabis. The Gangs of Palm City
L.S 16 (Los Salmos 16) - Also known as The Salmos. Backed by the most powerful Mexican drug lords and the most powerful arms traffickers in the world, L.S 16 once ruled all of Palm City In fear until The House stepped in. They’re also the strongest gang in the game with access to military grade weapons and vehicles and each gang kill from them awards 500-1,500 XP depending on the enemy type. They are led by Neil Roark.
The House - The House is a gambling gang with strong ties and backed by the Sicilian Mafia; they run the street scene and the casinos in Palm City. They’re pretty strong but weaker than L.S 16, and they have access to military grade weapons and vehicles each gang kills from them awards 250-800 XP depending on the enemy type. Headed by Lina Navarro.
The Volk - The Volk is a Chinese-Russian gang led by Roman Barkov with Niko Barkov as their enforcer backed by the Triads (Chan Wu), the Russian Mob (Dimitri Glebov), and GMAC's crew (Gregory "GMAC" MacDonald, Rose Largo) for cars who control the weapon smuggling and arms dealing in Palm City. With this backing and access to military grade weapons. They are a mid tier gang and each gang kill from them awards 200-600 XP depending on the enemy type. They are also the ones who go after the Blackwell Syndicate the most.
Palm Kings - The Palm Kings (PKs) is a Black gang made up of Black nationalists who controls Palm Harbor’s rackets and extorts store owners. Led by Benny King, they’re equipped with police-grade weaponry and has strong ties with the PCPD despite this, they are the second weakest gang in the game and each gang kill from them awards 150-500 XP depending if it's a regular to elite
Dixie Paladins - The Dixie Paladins are a white supremacy gang and a militarized version of the Ku Klux Klan (KKK) who controls the Gold Coast Mountains in the mountainous regions of Palm City. they’re the weakest gang in the game and each gang kill from them awards 100-250 XP from regular to elite members. They are led by Tony Alpert
Blackwell Syndicate - The Blackwell Syndicate is a underground criminal organization based in Palm City and is led by Marcus Blackwell with Julian “Julius” Little as underboss, Hector Maio before "Code of Silence" and Zack Maio after "Code of Silence". Nick Mendoza. Khai Minh Dao and Carl Stoddard are caporegimes and Tyson Latchford, Tyler "Ty" Morgan, Sean "Mac" McAlister, Jessica "Jess" Miller as soldiers. Other members include Ravindra "Rav" Chaudhry as the gang's car expert Rachel Teller as the gang's customization expert, Marcus “Boomer” Boone as the gang's weapon experts. The Blackwell Syndicate would be the gang that the player would join. In Act 1, they're an outside and fast tracked to soldier, but in Act 2 the player would be a capo until the end of the game. They are secretly backed by both The Mob and the CIA through Agent Dawes. Jonathan Cross and Mia Townsend are also on the gang's payroll until "Bon Appetit" where Marcus Blackwell executes him with a 870P Magnum to the head. Also Mia would also go with Jack Rourke as well
The police/military force
PCPD - the police force of Palm City/Miami if the player does hostile acts (killing civilians, firing unsuppressed weapons in public, etc) will attract police attention and each kill from them awards 50 XP for regular members and 100 XP for armored members, However the player can bribe the PCPD to look the other way or will even help the player fight the other gangs but would be the target of higher level police forces. (Sort of like it was in The Godfather game) The player can also buy favors from them as well. Also they’ll deploy stronger units at higher heat level alongside the FBI. The cars PCPD drives are the Ford Crown Victoria, Dodge Challenger, Pontiac GTO, and the Chevy Grand Sport
Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) - The state police force and Only appears in wanted levels 3 and above, Each kill from them awards 75 XP for regular state troopers and 150 XP for tactical state troopers. Regular state troopers drives Ford Mustang GTs tactical state troopers drives Nissan GT-R
FBI - Only appears in wanted level 5 the FBI will be called in if the player continues to retaliate against the PCPD. Each kill from them awards 125 XP for regular agents, 250 XP for FBI SWAT and 375 XP for FBI HRT, Like the PCPD the player can bribe the FBI to look the other way, or even help the player fight gangs, or the PCPD but at the second highest price. The FBI also has the second widest array of favors the player can buy. regular agents drives the Nissan 350Z or Porsche 911 GT3 RS, FBI SWAT drives the - Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster or Ford F-150 SVT Raptor L.E. and FBI HRT drives the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X or Land Rover Range Rover Sport SVR
Military - Only goes after the player if they trespass in Fort Rockport or the Palmount Naval Shipyard. Each kill from them awards 200 XP for regs, 400 XP for experienced troops and 600 XP for elite troops. Like the PCPD, State Police and the FBI, the player can bribe the military to look the other way, or even help the player fight gangs, the PCPD, State Police or even the FBI but at the highest price and The military also has the widest array of favors the player can buy in large part due to Agent Dawes’ connections in Washington.
Multiplayer portion of the game would take place during the five cartels war where the Blackwell Syndicate, The Volk, Palm Kings, Dixie Paldines, Los Salmos 16, and The House (basically where Jack Rourke glosses over saying "It was non-stop chaos for weeks")
Also there would be a free ride mode where the player can explore the city at their leisure or pick a fight with either other cartels or the cops.

- Race Day - After the events of the last mission, Jack Rourke partakes in a race day event and wins three events with his Porsche 911 Carrera S (991) '12
- Running Man - Volk sicarios Niko and Dimitri crashes the race day and Jack must get to the Blackwell Garage
- M34 Party - Jack Rourke joins the Blackwell Syndicate and gets acquainted with everyone before going with Tyson in a Pontiac GTO '05 to burn the Volk's cars with M34 Incendiary Grenades as well as stealing GMAC's Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4

- The Saint and The Sinner - It's revealed thtat Caleb Reece was Chief Norris' best friend, and Danny Shaw survives the crash however Stoddard would handle Shaw as Jack Rourke is tasked with infiltrating the Elmore Plaza Hotel and has to kill the manager, Nikki Morris and bomb the hotel before escaping to a funeral and confronts, Danny Shaw and Frank Mercer who are also in attendance. Jack Rourke kills Shaw and nearly kills Frank as well. But Frank tasers Rourke and escapes. It would be revealed that some of the Volk sicarios recognized Sotddard and had to deal with them, then the two escaped in a hearse.
- A Trip to the Countryside - In order to get a large supply of cannabis from Mexico, Jack Rourke takes a team to retrieve the Mexican from Mexican smugglers only to be ambushed by Los Zetas L.S 16 and Volk sicarios, then it's revealed that Roman had paid off the FBI to go after Rourke and his teammates then they came off with the cannabis killing their pursuers in the process.
- Code of Silence - The evidence that Tyson and Stoddard had ripped from the Volk had fallen in the hands of Hector Maio who cut a deal with the FBI, total immunity for the evidence and Jack Rouke is tasked with killing him and retrieving the evidence
- Visiting Rich People - Jack Rourke is tasked with sabotaging a federal proscutor's case against The Mob, the Blackwell Syndicate's backers as well as killing the federal prosecutor in charge of the case.
- Visiting Powerful People - Jack Rourke is tasked with meeting and protecting a powerful member of Palm City's elite, the owner of Prefered Outcomes Julian Daws... though he more than meets the eyes of Jack Rourke
- Agent Dawes - Julian Daws is revealed to be a CIA agent who is tasked with keeping the flow of drugs to Jack's surprise and that he is backing the Blackwell Syndicate through Prefered Outcomes.
- The Drug Trade - Julian Daws walks Jack Rourke through Palm City's drug trade and how the illicit street racing scene is used as a cover to smuggle drugs.
- Great Deal - Tyson Lachford scores a major deal with a drug farm in Georgia who promises to supply them with large amounts of drugs in exchange for access to databases concerning highway patrol routes; however when the deal goes down at a parking garage, the Volk and L.S 16 ambush them.
- Bon Appetit - Jack Rourke drives Eva Torrez, Marcus Blackwell and Julian Daws to the rebuilt Elmore Plaza Hotel for brunch only for Niko and Dimirti with a Volk hit squad to blast the entire lobby with gunfire and C4 explosives, Jack Rourke vaults over with Eva Torrez, Marcus Blackwell and Julian Daws, there Jack Rourke and Eva Torrez rush out through the side entrance and confronts the hit squad with Jack Rourke killing both Niko and Dimirti. However Blackwell wants Jack to confront Jonathan Cross at a doughnut store and reveals that the Volk threatened to turn him over to IAD and is chased throughout the city with Marcus Blackwell putting Cross on permanent retirement by killing him with a Lupara.
- Happy Anniversary - Jack Rourke is tasked with completing a contract hit against Frank Mercer at the fifth anniversary of the formation of the High-Speed Task Force by firing a sniper rifle stashed in a bathroom
- You Lucky Bastard - After a failed attempt to kill Razor; Roman's personal driver and #2 of the Volk, Jack Rourke is given the contract to kill Razor, first by car bomb but ends up killing Deputy Chief Jack Keller. instead of Razor. Jack Rourke, Tyson and Stoddard would later find Razer at a Burger King. In this Rourke can choose to kill or spare Razor. Rourke would spare him after he tells him that the CIA is deeper in Palm City's drug trade than Jack Rourke is led to believe
- Creme de la Creme - Marcus Blackwell plans to kill Roman, Niko, Demintri and Chan Wu in front of the city's Creme de la Creme, the mayor, the police chief, the FBI director and even the city's richest elite. However things go south and Jack Rourke chases Roman and Niko at the airport where they get to a private jet but is shot down and crash lands on the Cross Mermeroral Bridge Chan Wu is still alive and Jack Rourke executes him and leaves before the cops show up.
- Plugging the Chief - After the events of Creme de la Creme; Chief Norris places to take on the Blackwell Syndicate and to dismantle them, and a contract hit is placed on him where Jack Rourke accepts the contract and kills Chief Norris.
- Election Campaign - The State Governor had launched his reelection bid with the promise get tough on the cartels that had plagued Palm City and like Chief Norris has a contract hit out on him which Jack Rourke is tasked with taking, using a sniper rifle
- Just for Relaxation - Marcus Blackwell tells Jack Rourke about a shipment of Cuban cigars as well as a hidden shipment of diamonds (hot ice) straight from Africa however and Jack Rourke takes a crew to retrieve the shipment from federal customs however it's revealed that instead of diamonds it's Cold Shot... the same drug being pushed by the other gangs.
- The Truth - Jack Rourke and Kahi Minh Dao eavesdrop on Marcus Blackwell and Julain Daws and they learn the truth.
- Moonlighting - Jack Rourke after knowing about the truth takes Tyson to rob the Palm CIty First National in order to retire from the sicario lifestyle and gets into a massive shootout with the PCPD Heat-style.
- The Death of Art - After the heist of Palm City First National Jack Rourke finds Tyson dead and meets Stoddard at the museum only to find out that Stoddard knew about the heist, and used his share of the drug money and clout at Prefered Outcomes to buy out The7 as his personal hit squad, however Jack Rourke manages to kill every member of The7 but spares Stoddard (the player can also kill him but canonically Jack Rourke spares him)
After the trial and the repeal of the Jack Rurke is placed in the Witness Protection Program in Lakeshore City but six months later after the repeal of the Narcotics Prohibition Jack Rourke would be gunned down by members of the West Side Club, Dimitri "Dima" Mayakovsky and Henry "Black" Blackburn.
The Gangs of Palm City
L.S 16 (Los Salmos 16) - Also known as The Salmos. Backed by the most powerful Mexican drug lords and the most powerful arms traffickers in the world, L.S 16 once ruled all of Palm City In fear until The House stepped in. They’re also the strongest gang in the game with access to military grade weapons and vehicles and each gang kill from them awards 500-1,500 XP depending on the enemy type. They are led by Neil Roark.
The House - The House is a gambling gang with strong ties and backed by the Sicilian Mafia; they run the street scene and the casinos in Palm City. They’re pretty strong but weaker than L.S 16, and they have access to military grade weapons and vehicles each gang kills from them awards 250-800 XP depending on the enemy type. Headed by Lina Navarro.
The Volk - The Volk is a Chinese-Russian gang led by Roman Barkov with Niko Barkov as their enforcer backed by the Triads (Chan Wu), the Russian Mob (Dimitri Glebov), and GMAC's crew (Gregory "GMAC" MacDonald, Rose Largo) for cars who control the weapon smuggling and arms dealing in Palm City. With this backing and access to military grade weapons. They are a mid tier gang and each gang kill from them awards 200-600 XP depending on the enemy type. They are also the ones who go after the Blackwell Syndicate the most.
Palm Kings - The Palm Kings (PKs) is a Black gang made up of Black nationalists who controls Palm Harbor’s rackets and extorts store owners. Led by Benny King, they’re equipped with police-grade weaponry and has strong ties with the PCPD despite this, they are the second weakest gang in the game and each gang kill from them awards 150-500 XP depending if it's a regular to elite
Dixie Paladins - The Dixie Paladins are a white supremacy gang and a militarized version of the Ku Klux Klan (KKK) who controls the Gold Coast Mountains in the mountainous regions of Palm City. they’re the weakest gang in the game and each gang kill from them awards 100-250 XP from regular to elite members. They are led by Tony Alpert
Blackwell Syndicate - The Blackwell Syndicate is a underground criminal organization based in Palm City and is led by Marcus Blackwell with Julian “Julius” Little as underboss, Hector Maio before "Code of Silence" and Zack Maio after "Code of Silence". Nick Mendoza. Khai Minh Dao and Carl Stoddard are caporegimes and Tyson Latchford, Tyler "Ty" Morgan, Sean "Mac" McAlister, Jessica "Jess" Miller as soldiers. Other members include Ravindra "Rav" Chaudhry as the gang's car expert Rachel Teller as the gang's customization expert, Marcus “Boomer” Boone as the gang's weapon experts. The Blackwell Syndicate would be the gang that the player would join. In Act 1, they're an outside and fast tracked to soldier, but in Act 2 the player would be a capo until the end of the game. They are secretly backed by both The Mob and the CIA through Agent Dawes. Jonathan Cross and Mia Townsend are also on the gang's payroll until "Bon Appetit" where Marcus Blackwell executes him with a 870P Magnum to the head. Also Mia would also go with Jack Rourke as well
The police/military force
PCPD - the police force of Palm City/Miami if the player does hostile acts (killing civilians, firing unsuppressed weapons in public, etc) will attract police attention and each kill from them awards 50 XP for regular members and 100 XP for armored members, However the player can bribe the PCPD to look the other way or will even help the player fight the other gangs but would be the target of higher level police forces. (Sort of like it was in The Godfather game) The player can also buy favors from them as well. Also they’ll deploy stronger units at higher heat level alongside the FBI. The cars PCPD drives are the Ford Crown Victoria, Dodge Challenger, Pontiac GTO, and the Chevy Grand Sport
Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) - The state police force and Only appears in wanted levels 3 and above, Each kill from them awards 75 XP for regular state troopers and 150 XP for tactical state troopers. Regular state troopers drives Ford Mustang GTs tactical state troopers drives Nissan GT-R
FBI - Only appears in wanted level 5 the FBI will be called in if the player continues to retaliate against the PCPD. Each kill from them awards 125 XP for regular agents, 250 XP for FBI SWAT and 375 XP for FBI HRT, Like the PCPD the player can bribe the FBI to look the other way, or even help the player fight gangs, or the PCPD but at the second highest price. The FBI also has the second widest array of favors the player can buy. regular agents drives the Nissan 350Z or Porsche 911 GT3 RS, FBI SWAT drives the - Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster or Ford F-150 SVT Raptor L.E. and FBI HRT drives the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X or Land Rover Range Rover Sport SVR
Military - Only goes after the player if they trespass in Fort Rockport or the Palmount Naval Shipyard. Each kill from them awards 200 XP for regs, 400 XP for experienced troops and 600 XP for elite troops. Like the PCPD, State Police and the FBI, the player can bribe the military to look the other way, or even help the player fight gangs, the PCPD, State Police or even the FBI but at the highest price and The military also has the widest array of favors the player can buy in large part due to Agent Dawes’ connections in Washington.
Multiplayer portion of the game would take place during the five cartels war where the Blackwell Syndicate, The Volk, Palm Kings, Dixie Paldines, Los Salmos 16, and The House (basically where Jack Rourke glosses over saying "It was non-stop chaos for weeks")
Also there would be a free ride mode where the player can explore the city at their leisure or pick a fight with either other cartels or the cops.

It’s the part of our house that was added on after the original build long ago, but the bricks were knocked out to make the hole which makes me think the builders didn’t add it. There were rocks and dirt were packed around the pipe to seal it. Before I dug it up, it was halfway above ground, I think tilting toward the outside. Inside the crawlspace, it’s at ground level My only thought is if there was a major water leak, this pipe could allow water to escape and prevent the crawlspace from flooding? That just seems like it’d need to be a lot of water - and the main part of the house is sealed off from this area with brick I want to remove it if it’s useless, and/or properly seal it off from rodents. I’m needing to level the area. I also don’t like the idea of a kid falling/stepping on it

Here's the issue, I can't find the damn thing. I've googled images, but the closest thing I can find is outside and it's the gas system for the fireplace. Are these usually found in some weird place in, or outside, a house. Thanks in advance.

Hey solar redditors. So many of us worked so hard to get grandfathered in to NEM 2.0. Now I’m trying to decide if I’m paranoid and it’s worth it to lose it in my case.
Current system is 5 years old and was right size for our usage. Tru-up last year we owed about three hundred. Not bad for power the whole year.
But. This tru up we’re going to have added an electric plug in car. And the big thing, we have major damage to rebuild which wasn’t expected before the April 3.0 deadline. That means the roof some of the solar panels are on has to be rebuilt ground up. On top of it we’re probably going to cap off the gas line rather than repair and replace that, the gas heater, and the gas water heater. So that will all be new electric draw.
With rebuilding the roof anyway we can get a tax credit on that part of the work by making it a new solar roof. And we have so much more electric needs coming with replacements.
(I’m assuming a new solar installation added to our existing inverters and panels will kick us into 3.0, because I can’t find anything but the increase rules from 1.0)
Anyone want to weigh in here? Or point us at calculators to decide if something is worth it? TL;Dr We’re balancing tax credit and increased production for drastically higher draw with losing NEM 2.0

Day 1. I guess no one is ever going to read this. I’m not even sure if this is being recorded… somewhere. The Internet has been down since all this started. Is there still a cloud? I found this laptop, but it doesn’t work like any computer I’ve used before. I don’t even know if this is a real notepad app.

Sorry… I’ve never written a diary before. I’m not used to having enough time to keep a diary.
Looks like I spoke too soon. Another explosion…
Day 2. Something weird happened last night. I’m trying not to think about it. There's one other person at the shelter here, Merlin. He smokes a lot of cigarettes, basically all the time.
Day 3. Taking inventory. I managed to get into one of the houses on the outskirts of town last night. Mostly I snuck through, only had to take one down with a pointy stick. It was a kid... I got in through an open window, tied a sheet around my shoulders, and stuffed in everything I could before running back.
I feel a little like a hoarder going over things like this, but these are now my only posessions in the world, so I’d better keep track of them:
Day 5. The blue house on the corner has bugs in the basement. Big, mean bugs. Hulking, skittering roaches that screamed bloody murder…
What is happening?
I managed to get out and shut the door, so I wrote a note on the door just in case some unlucky soul stumbles on it later.
Day 6. Found a motorcycle and managed to get it back to the shelter without dying. That might come in handy.
Day 7. If this is the apocalypse, it's surprisingly routine already. I wile away the daylight reading comic books and survival manuals so I can sneak into the city at night. I break into a house, tie a makeshift sling from some curtains and scoop whatever looks useful or edible into it. I always bring some gallon jugs in my walkabout bag to fill with water to boil from their heaters and toilet basins. I usually have to kill and scrap with at least five of them per night. Sometimes it gets bad and I have to take out my pistol. When I get home, I take an aspirin, disinfect and bandage my wounds, reload my pistol magazines, write in here and go to bed.
Day 12. Ever had a pickle and spam sandwich? Nowhere near as bad as you might expect. Better than starving to death, that’s for sure. Tonight I’m washing it down with some room-temperature beer, celebrating my first week.

Day 15. Saw the dog again. It was blurry, like a nightmare on an old VHS tape.
Day 19. They swarmed me today. I might need to get out of here at some point. I’ve been making an inventory of all the surrounding vehicles. Most are out of gas or otherwise inoperable.
Day 20. It took me an hour of fiddling in the pitch dark, but I managed to hotwire a sports car with all four wheels and some fuel still in the tank. Something came over me as I started driving it back to the shelter, though. I turned on the headlights, and I saw four or five of them, just walking around the street. They all turned to me, and I just gunned it. I blew through them and kept gunning it, and crashed into the side of a house.
It’s totaled.
Back to the drawing board, I guess.
Day 22. Organizing my weapons tonight. I was able to take down a loiterer in the lockroom of the pawn shop on the corner through the bars with my duct-taped knife spear, which I have dubbed "Glamdring". The hacksaw I found in the blue house’s garage made short work of the lockroom bars, and I made it back with an assortment of pistols. I unloaded everything and managed to produce two fully-loaded magazines. 34 bullets and some change… once I use those, that’s it until I scavenge some more. I rifled through the heap of clothing I’ve scavenged and found an ammo pouch to strap to my leg. I’m still not great with the pistol, and the noise is not helpful, but having it makes me feel a lot better.
Day 30. I finally made it to the fucking hardware store, and I still couldn’t find a wood saw. So much for my advanced fortifications and spear repairs. At least I’ve got all the windows boarded up, except one. It’s nice to have a little sunlight to read and sew by during the day.
Day 32. The weird dog bit me. It chased me back to the shelter and Merlin fended it off. I hope he’s okay.
Day 33. Merlin won’t come back to the shelter. He’s just standing out there, bleeding and smoking. Like always.
Day 37. Today I found some binoculars on another little kid. I think I recognized it... her.

On the way back to the shelter, I climbed up on the roof of that three-story house on the outskirts of town and took a look around. I think a plane went down in the forest. I’m going to get that bicycle I saw in front of the pawn shop and investigate. I’m only alive because Merlin saved me… maybe it’s time to pay it forward.

I can’t stop thinking about their faces. When they’re eating, because I saw one eating yesterday, it didn't know I was there and I was just.... hypnotized, I guess. But when they eat, their faces are like... caricatures, cartoons, contorted in throes of passion that could be agony or pleasure. Some of them could almost be human. Others clearly died and rotted long before this all started.

That first night, I saw ... myself. It was so cold out when I was falling asleep on the bench, winter’s last chill. And as I was falling asleep, I thought to myself, “This is how inexperienced idiots like you die, you know. If one of them doesn’t crawl in through the broken windows, the cold will do you instead.” But after the things I saw that day, I wasn’t sure I wanted to wake up. So I just... let myself fall asleep.
I was so, so cold. I could barely feel anything, except, then ... my heart started racing, because I realized how close I came. And I fell flailing off the bench, bruised my forehead.
I finally came to my senses and stood up, and realized there had been someone next to me on the bench.
Me.
I was there, physically, in front of myself, except dead and naked, all my clothes on the floor in front of the corpse.
No, not all of them, actually. Everything, from my jeans to my wristwatch… except the face wrap and mittens that I scrounged together from rags.

Day 61. Sorry. That plane crash really fucked me up. I don’t know why I thought there’d be anyone alive.
I don’t know why I’m alive. Is it just dumb luck? I’m here. I’ve adapted. For better or worse.
Day 62. They broke in through the last intact window. I just finished boarding it up. Now there’ll be no sunlight in here again unless I leave the door wide open.
I need to fucking get out of here.

Some kind of huge abomination chased me out of town this afternoon. I thought I had cleared this area out. It was ... giant, like a fleshy skeleton with horrible bug eyes... I'm getting out of here. I hope it doesn't get Merlin.
The survivor hub is a month's walk away, and that's if I can't find a car on the way. Too bad my bike exploded...
I've hoarded enough gear that I can camp out to sleep through the day, and creep through the cities for supplies at night. I hope there's someone there to greet me when I arrive...

What the fuck is “vim”?
Sorry… I’ve never written a diary before. I’m not used to having enough time to keep a diary.
Looks like I spoke too soon. Another explosion…
Day 2. Something weird happened last night. I’m trying not to think about it. There's one other person at the shelter here, Merlin. He smokes a lot of cigarettes, basically all the time.
Day 3. Taking inventory. I managed to get into one of the houses on the outskirts of town last night. Mostly I snuck through, only had to take one down with a pointy stick. It was a kid... I got in through an open window, tied a sheet around my shoulders, and stuffed in everything I could before running back.
I feel a little like a hoarder going over things like this, but these are now my only posessions in the world, so I’d better keep track of them:
- Two permanent markers
- A hammer and screwdriver
- A fresh T-shirt and some socks
- Three small cola bottles and a can of beer
- Some cheese, dried beans, and bread
At this rate, the plastic water bottles in the shelter will run out in two days.
Day 5. The blue house on the corner has bugs in the basement. Big, mean bugs. Hulking, skittering roaches that screamed bloody murder…
What is happening?
I managed to get out and shut the door, so I wrote a note on the door just in case some unlucky soul stumbles on it later.
Day 6. Found a motorcycle and managed to get it back to the shelter without dying. That might come in handy.
Day 7. If this is the apocalypse, it's surprisingly routine already. I wile away the daylight reading comic books and survival manuals so I can sneak into the city at night. I break into a house, tie a makeshift sling from some curtains and scoop whatever looks useful or edible into it. I always bring some gallon jugs in my walkabout bag to fill with water to boil from their heaters and toilet basins. I usually have to kill and scrap with at least five of them per night. Sometimes it gets bad and I have to take out my pistol. When I get home, I take an aspirin, disinfect and bandage my wounds, reload my pistol magazines, write in here and go to bed.
Day 12. Ever had a pickle and spam sandwich? Nowhere near as bad as you might expect. Better than starving to death, that’s for sure. Tonight I’m washing it down with some room-temperature beer, celebrating my first week.

I avoided it, but Id like to share my experience so people is alert. This happened to me on Tuesday in Dominican Republic. I landed in Santo Domingo, got my car rental, loaded my sport gear (kite surfing), 2 laptops (Im work while I travel) and I started to drive cross country to my hotel, 4 hours drive, by myself.
After 30 min driving, im in a quite main freeway, one lane each direction.
Suddenly I have a slow truck, 2 cars behind and me. 5 minutes passed by we are all driving behind the slow truck and suddenly I see on my left mirror a car bumper to bumper with me, like he is anxious to pass me, the other cars and the truck.
A couple of minutes after that he starts trying to pass us all. Im a very defensive driver so when I see that, I just unpress the gas pedal so he is more comfortable doing so.
Luckily im keeping an eye on him as he is passing and suddenly he turns my direction to cut me. In that maneouver y turn right to avoid him and he only hit my mirror.
I swear that if im not ready to avoid it, he would hit my car. There was absolutely no reason for him to do that, there was not a car on the other direction that would put him in that situation. He starts to slow down and stops in the road shoulder expecting me to do the same, I guess.
I had all my car loaded with valuables, no way I was going to stop in the middle of nowhere. So I keep driving.
After 5 minutes I see the car in my mirror again.
They pass me, and while doing so the passenger with a pink paper out of the window is making signals for me to stop.
Now they are in front of me, slow down and got to the road shoulder again.
Again I think this is so unsafe for me to stop so I keeep going While passing them, the driver is doing hand signals for me to stop.
Again I keep driving.
After this Im starting to panic because I don't know how long are these guys gonna be harassing me in the road.
Now, Im thinking what to do next time I see them in case they get more aggressive. 5 minutes go by and I see a toll road stop. (Pay station) I have 4 vehicles in line in front of me paying, and these guys never showed up.
That's when I could confirm they were trying to scam me. They had to do a U turn to not be able to show up there in that time, and most likely they were operating in the free section of the road. I don't know if they were gonna rob me at gun point, but at least intimidating me to make me believe it was my fault and give them some money for the repairs.

2023.06.03 00:41 No_Objective_8944 Am I the pregnant AH? Over-protective husband or irritable pregnant wife?
FTM - 30 weeks + 1 day I was previously the breadwinner and took a lot of pride in my work. When I became pregnant my husband and I decided that I would stay home as my job took me to large commercial construction sites which made us both nervous about exposure while I am pregnant. Also, I want to be a stay-at-home mom so it is all fine and my husband is working full-time while also trying to build a side business which he has been working on since early 2020. My staying at home means that I can help take care of him, the house, and do some tasks to benefit the business like some marketing, social media work, as well as invoice tracking, and email organization. It has been a big adjustment and we are in a very tight financial place because the side business is taking longer to build than we were hoping, but of course, we have had some unforeseen house maintenance projects come up in the last few months that we were not expecting...shame on us for hoping we would have been lucky to not have to deal with that at this point in time.
All that being said, my husband is under a great amount of stress trying to work two jobs practically and make ends meet in anticipation of the baby. We have been married for 3.5 years and together for 15+ years so we have a very solid foundation. I am writing today because I am not sure how to handle this new dynamic in our relationship. About 2 years ago, my husband admitted to me that he has been battling OCD and it has become so difficult for him to deal with that he started seeking professional help. His OCD is more focused on contamination when it comes to things like blood, toxic chemicals, and disease. It really ramped up in anticipation of our pregnancy, thus the professional help. Unfortunately, this professional help did not provide my husband with the support he says he needs. In his words, he felt like they simply wanted him to just not think about his urges. He says, I cannot ignore them and they are too strong. He feels that he needs more. What that more is...I don't know. He says he doesn't need to pay someone to tell him to not think about it. He is very against taking drugs as he also has an autoimmune disorder which has him tied up in other serious medications which makes him cautious to add anything else at this time. In the last year plus he has been dealing with his OCD without professional support. He managed to hide most of his struggles from me when I was working full-time. Now that I am home, I see it with much more frequency.
Now that I am pregnant, his anxiety is kicked into overdrive. I don't know where the paternal instinct to protect me starts and where the OCD ends. For example, he doesn't like me wearing makeup, or picking up/opening Amazon packages because of potential harm to the baby. He doesn't like me to fill up the gas tank, eating fast food, anything with food dye, and only filtered water to drink or organic juices. I don't inherently disagree with a lot of these things but not to the same degree. I think limiting these things is good but I am not as worried about the occasional indulgence.
With the random house maintenance we have had to work with it spikes his anxiety. We had to have someone over to work in our attic and the fiberglass bits that came down as the repair guy went in and out of the attic stressed my husband so much that he cleaned for nearly 3 hours after everything was complete and then complained that he barely got any work done due to the distraction. The repair took less than an hour to conduct and the repair guy was contained to about a 8 foot x 4 foot space in the house.
To top it off, we had a diagnosis of a chromosomal abnormality at 20 weeks which was a total curveball. This was VERY difficult for both of us to process but we are in a good place now and have accepted our circumstances. We are still very excited to meet our baby regardless of the diagnosis. We love him so deeply already. BUT this diagnosis only fed into his anxiety around the pregnancy and his actions around how he could have contributed to this via exposure to chemicals, autoimmune medications, etc. I should mention that we spent almost a year weening off of some of his autoimmune medications prior to getting pregnant so there should have been no risk of that contributing to any problems with my pregnancy. Also, I am not in the geriatric pregnancy category and according to all of our doctors, this abnormality is completely random and could not have been prevented or foreseen. Nonetheless, he still worries. Almost to the point where he might not want to have a 2nd baby which was always our plan and would be devastating to me. I don't think he would go that far as he goes back and forth but he says he is almost miserable with worry now that I am pregnant.
He is extremely stressed because of his workload as well. We talk about the added stress of protecting me and the baby as well as maintaining the house has him MAXED OUT. While I feel homebound and sometimes understimulated. My husband doesn't have a lot of friends especially since he works from home and we semi-recently moved to a small town so we could better afford me staying at home. I feel bad leaving to hang out with my friends (I have managed to make a few) as I think about him staying at the house alone and stewing in the stress. BUT I find that I am struggling to maintain patience during his anxiety outbursts. They cause me anxiety and I become frustrated which in turn frustrates him and makes him feel like I am not caring or soft enough. This all makes him feel more alone and of course, stressed.
My anxiety not only stems from my fear of his mental decline but also how this will play out when our son is born. He claims his anxiety is highest during pregnancy and will likely carry through to the first couple months of our son's life while he is ultra fragile but I can't help but wonder if that is hopeful thinking and I am worried it will continue. I don't want our son to carry the stress that my husband carries or at least I want to protect him from it.
I am stuck as I find some of the precautions sweet but sometimes they get on my nerves and I just wish I could go back to work and makes some money so he could stop complaining about the world of pressure on his shoulders. Now that I am SO pregnant that is not an option any time soon. And ultimately I want to be home with my son.
Am I the pregnant AH for getting frustrated at my husband for his imperfections? Or is he being unreasonable? I love him dearly and we have a wonderful bond. I am in no way interested in divorce. I just can't tell if the pregnancy hormones or my own ego is clouding my ability to support him in his time of need. Sometimes I wish he could better support my emotional needs by carrying these burdens without wearing them on his sleeves as it scares me. I don't want to be cruel and I am not perfect either but I am lost as to what the right path is. I feel like if I just listen to his fears and worries without trying to add my own logic or reason, I might be aiding in his continued battle with OCD. He thinks that I can be careless which I try not to be but I am not perfect by any means.

We had to have someone over to work in our attic and the fiberglass bits that came down as the repair guy went in and out of the attic stressed my husband so much that he cleaned for nearly 3 hours after everything was complete and then complained that he barely got any work done due to the distraction. The repair took less than an hour to conduct and the repair guy was contained to about a 8 foot x 4 foot space in the house.
To top it off, we had a diagnosis of a chromosomal abnormality at 20 weeks which was a total curveball. This was VERY difficult for both of us to process but we are in a good place now and have accepted our circumstances. We are still very excited to meet our baby regardless of the diagnosis. We love him so deeply already. BUT this diagnosis only fed into his anxiety around the pregnancy and his actions around how he could have contributed to this via exposure to chemicals, autoimmune medications, etc. I should mention that we spent almost a year weening off of some of his autoimmune medications prior to getting pregnant so there should have been no risk of that contributing to any problems with my pregnancy. Also, I am not in the geriatric pregnancy category and according to all of our doctors, this abnormality is completely random and could not have been prevented or foreseen. Nonetheless, he still worries. Almost to the point where he might not want to have a 2nd baby which was always our plan and would be devastating to me. I don't think he would go that far as he goes back and forth but he says he is almost miserable with worry now that I am pregnant.
He is extremely stressed because of his workload as well. We talk about the added stress of protecting me and the baby as well as maintaining the house has him MAXED OUT. While I feel homebound and sometimes understimulated. My husband doesn't have a lot of friends especially since he works from home and we semi-recently moved to a small town so we could better afford me staying at home. I feel bad leaving to hang out with my friends (I have managed to make a few) as I think about him staying at the house alone and stewing in the stress. BUT I find that I am struggling to maintain patience during his anxiety outbursts. They cause me anxiety and I become frustrated which in turn frustrates him and makes him feel like I am not caring or soft enough. This all makes him feel more alone and of course, stressed.
My anxiety not only stems from my fear of his mental decline but also how this will play out when our son is born. He claims his anxiety is highest during pregnancy and will likely carry through to the first couple months of our son's life while he is ultra fragile but I can't help but wonder if that is hopeful thinking and I am worried it will continue. I don't want our son to carry the stress that my husband carries or at least I want to protect him from it.
I am stuck as I find some of the precautions sweet but sometimes they get on my nerves and I just wish I could go back to work and makes some money so he could stop complaining about the world of pressure on his shoulders. Now that I am SO pregnant that is not an option any time soon. And ultimately I want to be home with my son.
Am I the pregnant AH for getting frustrated at my husband for his imperfections? Or is he being unreasonable? I love him dearly and we have a wonderful bond. I am in no way interested in divorce. I just can't tell if the pregnancy hormones or my own ego is clouding my ability to support him in his time of need. Sometimes I wish he could better support my emotional needs by carrying these burdens without wearing them on his sleeves as it scares me. I don't want to be cruel and I am not perfect either but I am lost as to what the right path is. I feel like if I just listen to his fears and worries without trying to add my own logic or reason, I might be aiding in his continued battle with OCD. He thinks that I can be careless which I try not to be but I am not perfect by any means.

To make the ammo for ourselves: Scrap: 1.) emats take multiple hours or some instance 24 hours 2.) cost is still expensive in the mpf, also or in the factory 4.) sit and wait for items to produce, 24 hours again 5.) load times into the tank inventory 6.)suiting up a tanker gas mask, bandage, filters, wrench, bmats 7.) the risk of travel 8.) is night approaching? 30 minute wait time to play 9.) fight armor , help infantry push, fight bobs to move the front line, help capture relic or vp points. 10.) night do I rearm, repair to a garage, do I stand and help the front line as the enemy pushed at night?

I have to make sure to refresh my 40mm crates the few I have to get to play the game
These are hourly / days time investments when we finally get to play the game in a tank. This is why we start blasting everything in the short 30 minutes!!!!! We usually are our own logi, planners, strategies.
There is no such thing as picking a region, loading or queuing and instantly playing the game, We are not the same infantry. You load, have everything you nearly need in the bob, have map posts get what you want in some reasonable time, but you do not do the same work as us to start a fight or begin to play the game as a tanker, you probably do get the ugly end of the stick, but your there and I finnally get todo something!
So I start blasting!!!!!
Extra extra note: if I want a specific tank I use to have pre 1.0 I have to invest extra hours in a facility in upkeep, these hours are not remove even in a faculty larpers base, still hours. I know infantry are qrfing these threads, but this is almost like a 2nd job to be in a tank.

Hi all, pretty frustrated right now and am looking for perspective or advice.
I bought a used 2022 Ram 2500 gas in late April, it has 37k miles on it.
I took it in the shop because the check engine light came on. I was told it was a camshaft and header issue. A week later I FINALLY get through to the service provider and I’m told they’re still doing the disassembly. They hope “early next week we’ll know what parts we need and can start repairs.” Is this normal? I know there are some issues with the camshaft in the 6.4 hemis but this is a relatively new truck, it’s going to be in the shop longer than I’ve owned it, and it went in before I made the first payment.
Has anyone else had an issue like this? I’m starting to feel like I got a lemon.

Hey all, thanks for having me, having an issue with our '99 Suburban.
History Highlights: - 2nd owner - Meticulously maintained - New Transmission from Factory at 110k in 2016 - Both Catalytic converters stolen last September ('22) - Drove home after, loud but no other issues, parked and has sat due to quotes on exhaust repair costs - Finally have the cash for repair so drained fuel, flushed lines, fresh gas, checked oil, etc, all systems go - Idle sounds perfect but now no tach - No check engine light - Once warm checked transmission fluid and coolant, both good - Still loud as a herd of hungry goats
Now the issue: Barely moves in Drive, will not shift or even climb driveway, try 3rd, won't climb either, but drives just fine in 1st and 2nd. At first seems obviously a transmission issue to me. But that Tach not working is in my head. I feel like the two happening at the exact same start means its maybe related to a sensor, servo, possibly even computer and thats why I'm here. Does anyone have any experience with this and if so, could you direct me to a good starting place for eliminating the issue? This transmission has less than 20k on it, this vehicle was only used for long trips maybe 6 times a year. Its been a great vehicle but not putting another transmission in it, just too expensive when I still need to get the Catalytic converters replaced.

Hi all, I [30F] have been overwhelmed and am looking for clarification if I am “doing it right” as Google has been tricky with information overload. Sorry this is long winded I just wanted to explain my experience thus far.
I rear ended someone’s trailer hitch at a stoplight (foot slipped and I nicked the gas into them. Really dumb. I wasn’t distracted. I feel horrible.) My front bumper has a hole in it but it appears superficial from any way I, and a friend, look at it. Second car (the one I hit) is undamaged. However, they bumped the person ahead of them with their license plate plastic border - very minor scratch in that rectangular shape on that third car.
Police were called, collected all info and gave us a Report # to give to my insurance- Geico. Which, I did.
Geico have been reminding me daily to get my car assessed and repaired. I did a virtual assessment through the app and they gave me an estimate and have charged me $15 ($750 coverage, estimate is $765) at a “body shop of choice”. The app attempted to suggest body shops near me but results were zero.
I called a body shop one town over and they offer free assessments and asked me who my insurance was, I said Geico and they booked me for an appt next week. I sent a message to GEICO via the app that I scheduled an in-person assessment and mentioned the shop and date. They immediately called me and said that shop is only allowed as an “assess and repair” meaning I have to commit to using them for the repair before I even get things assessed. What???? That broke my brain and I ended the call. Here I am after trying to Google things.
Did I do something wrong in this process? Do I have to get it repaired?? My car is Subaru 2014 with 114k miles on it. What do I need to do next? I appreciate any responses very much!

Hi everyone, I just wanted to place a quick rant into the internet. I assume I will receive some sympathy in this subReddit. My mother-in-law is living with us for the second time in my 5 year marriage to my husband. He and I have been together 8 years and the first time she lived with us was before we were married. I absolutely feel alienated in my own home and am so ready to just kick his mother out. I've spoken to him and he's made it clear that his mother is his priority (yes, I know that says something about the relationship; but his alternative is he literally pays his mother's rent so she doesn't live here, and I am NOT ok with him paying her $1,800 rent (area average) when that money could be going to our own household. MIL has been living with us rent free for 18 months now and is behaving as though she is retired. She just smokes all day, sun tans, and goes to her shitty job for a few hours a day. She then spends her money on the most useless stuff and clutters our house. She is the most judgmental person I've ever known and uses her culture as an excuse to be a rude and condescending jerk. She literally hates my job and tells me I am bad at it. I work in a people-helping profession with a master's degree, and she is literally high school educated and a gas station minimum wage clerk (I do not intend for that to be offensive sounding). She is constantly pressuring me to have children and every time I explain we don't have the money, space, nor do I have the motivation to be a parent right now she loses her mind on me. She tells me how much I'll regret being an older parent and how much she wants grandchildren (PS: we are a male-male couple so age isn't barrier to having children). When she moved in she literally brought everything she owns with her, like, everything. This includes two refrigerators and three microwaves which are currently taking up space in my in-home library which is now used as her clutter storage. She is also a hoarder and does not throw anything away. She literally takes used zip-lock back out of the trash, cleans them out, then scolds me for throwing them away. At the grocery store she takes items out of the cart and puts brand in there that I don't like because they're "cheaper". She then lectures me on "responsible finances" but lives with us because she quit paying her mortgage for an entire year after - yet again - being fired from her job for theft. At the time she worked for Dollar General as an associate clerk (the lowest position). She constantly talks smack about me, despite the fact I am a highly accomplished professional with an aspiring career. She is a compulsive liar, which in part is why she can't live on her own. My husband, her son took out a more than $130,000 personal loan for her to save the house prior to it being foreclosed on. He always asked her if she was making the payments for the mortgage and keeping up with the house, she said yes she was. She lies all of the time and has erratic unbelievable stories in which, I believe, she is looking for sympathy. For example, she claims that something extreme happens to her on a weekly basis (last week someone pulled a knife on her at work supposedly and she got into a physical fight with them), but yet, the police were not called and she remained at work the rest of the day. It's always something extreme like that! Anytime I cook she acts like it's the most disgusting thing she's ever eaten. The when she cooks, if I so much as put pepper on something she loses her mind and get's so offended that I'd dare "alter her cooking". We went out to eat dinner last night, and like always, I paid. She constantly orders cocktails and complained that she hated the food. She pushed it around on the plate like a petulant child. I know she only did this because it's the restaurant I wanted and not where she wanted to go. I saw her eating the food from the to-go container that night without issue. She just needed to put on a charade in front of me. She get's angry when I tell her our dogs cannot be in the sun all day (because they have a condition that makes them prone to sunburns and cancer) and they have exposed skin/missing hair. She say's I have no idea what I am talking about, that the sun is completely safe and good for you. Meanwhile, she is Caucasian but so tanned-brown she looks Latin. Her skin is literally leather and not moist at all. She chain smokes and vapes daily and has survived cancer. I've told her not to smoke in the house or around me because I have a precancerous blood condition and she does it anyway. She act's like she is above everyone else despite the fact that, without her son and me allowing her to stay here, she would literally have to turn to a homeless shelter. She also recently told me that she "was praying so hard to God that I and *her son's name* would get a divorce" because she thinks I am an abusive POS because I (attempt) to stand up to her. Now I feel relegated to just wait it out. She is supposedly supposed to be working towards moving out of out home, but yet, she spends superfluous money on things we, nor she, need nor will we ever use. She jumps at any "by one" sale and has hundreds of some items. Literally, we have over 60 cans of tomato sauce in our small house because if their is a sale, she'll buy it, regardless of what it is. Her cat destroyed my couch with it's claws and I told her I didn't like the destructive cat (I didn't even tell her to get rid of it, I just made a comment I was upset it's destructive) and she's made at me for not liking the cat. She is also a cat hoarder who was fined by the ASPCA when her house was foreclosed on for animal neglect, and she keeps trying to bring kittens into our home. She lives on Facebook marketplace and has purchased three different patio sets for (not her) but our (mine and her son's) home. She also purchased a grill when we already had one and it was very expensive. I told her she should save that money to move out and she says she has plenty of money; then I suggest she start looking for apartments and she cites not making enough money to do so! I make a point to call the room she stays in the "guest room", because that is indeed what it is, and she get offended and calls it "her room". She got mad that I moved her nightstand yesterday when an emergency plumber had to come out for a $2,000 repair and he needed access through the guestroom. She accused me of not being gentile with her nightstand and breaking it, despite the fact it's literally had a broken leg for 60 plus years because it's an old family hand me down. Any given opportunity she has to make on overt or covert assault on me she does, she she'll have the audacity to say to me at dinner "I feel like you don't like me". She's right, I don't. Last night I caught her throwing away my mail and she is denying it, which is what brings me here to this sub. I just cannot do it anymore.

So this has been probably the most fucked up scenario i’ve ever placed myself in, before any of you say anything at the end, just understand i totally know i completely messed up here and i could have left early on these signs. I wasn’t strong enough to do so…
But… anyways here is the lil story.
So the summer of last year… met a new girl, thought things were great at the beginning, minus the fact that she tried to basically throw herself at me in the beginning to have sex. (I calmly denied her instigations). That set off alarm bells because normally i don't feel comfortable just fucking on the first date but that was really the biggest red flag in the beginning personally. Now we dated for about a month before i asked her to be exclusive and she agreed and said she wanted something special with one person.
Anyways… a few months go by… and during those months i notice “guy friends” lol. Obviously majority of these dudes are not her platonic “friends” as i personally don't really believe men and women can be close friends without there being some sort of attraction from one side, and already experiencing this girl, i knew that she throws herself at guys like she did to me.
I confirmed they weren’t platonic because i had looked through her phone, and honestly the only reason why i did is because she showed up to one of our dates with hickeys on her neck that she then proceeded to try and gas light me saying that they were pinch marks from self harm. Which was also a red flag i ignored like a dufus.
Anyways one of her guys on her phone was apparently her “stepbrother” lol. That turned out to be of course a lie and i even contacted the dude later on to ask him exactly wtf was going on since apparently she was seeing him while seeing me (we’ll get to that juice later).
The other dude was some guy on her snapchat which they talked almost every day, sending snaps i even looked through her snap history with him and found some… of course sexual pictures.
Another guy was apparently a friend of my friends in high-school and he was talking to her alot as well. She told me she never saw him or met with him with is not even true in the slightest because my buddy who i asked knows this dude, and she’s his type.
There were just like… way more dudes even… but those were the funny scenarios tbh.
I told her my concerns about all this, i told her my values from the beginning and if she was looking for just hookups and temporary pleasure then shes barking up the wrong tree. She never truly told me the truth about any of this by the way. I had to find out the truth myself for 6 months straight because she was making so many excuses at the beginning that it made me feel crazy (which i became because of all the constant gaslighting and manipulation she was trying on me, to essentially convince me i was wrong and none of this was true).
Eventually later in the year.. just random guys started to disappear from her phone and social media, including her stepbrother lol. I asked her why… and she said she wanted to get rid of people who were mean to her and that her step brother is “just like her dad” 😂😂😂
I straight up said, “you were dating me for 6 months and now you want to get rid of all these dudes you’re cheating on me with? Obviously i know your step brother isn’t your stepbrother and all these guys you’re with aren’t wanting to be your friends and they weren’t before”
She denied cheating of course and then i told Her i couldn’t do this wacky crap anymore. I wanted to break up and move on from this crazy bullshit.
But she wanted to stay with me and apologized and said she’d try to change… lol.. but then a couple other months go by and i ask just had this inclination of checking her phone but this time downloading tinder and lo and behold… she had an acc talking to dudes and telling me that even one of those dudes was a work friend, i asked her to show the msgs and she deleted them behind my back.
So i dumped her a second time this time i was serious. I blocked her on everything and she was panicking saying she was sorry made a mistake, that she was different this time, ect.. the usual hilarious nonsense. She makes random accs, messages me asks for me back, wants to repair the broken, but then still talks to tons of dudes and whenever she gets rid of one or 2 some new random ones come up. She even finally after nearly a year of doing me wrong, admits to all the crap she gaslit me about. I think thats just fake nonsense to keep me around since she’s maybe just a hardcore narcissist and always liked how i fit her life and what i provided for her.
To be honest i guess I’m just in shock as to how some people can just be like that, have 10-15 guys on the go, have a boyfriend, lie like crazy and then be so delusional to say that I’m the one who’s wrong and I’m getting things mixed up.
The thing is over the last year i really started to understand who i was as a person, i realized that i made a mistake trusting people who did me wrong once and thinking they would change, i don’t think people can change, i think they just become better versions of themselves… if they’re a liar and a cheater they’ll just become craftier and more aware on how to hide themselves in the future. If someone does you wrong, and they don’t respect you the first time, don’t expect them to respect you and magically earn it the second or third time. Rarely ever happens. I mean even reading all this that i wrote makes me really realize how much of a dumbass i was to even let her back into my life after all the deceit.
I always thought maybe if i showed people enough love or understanding/ care and forgiveness that they would change who they were and respect me more. But you cant make good wine from bad grapes and i think those personality traits are just engrained into certain people.
Anyways…. If anyone had a rough patch with a girl or guy, at least i hope it wasn’t as bad as mine.

I am embarrassed but terrified of how much debt I am in. I was never taught financial literacy nor money management growing up, as explained below. Any help/advice/tips would be greatly appreciated!!
Catalyst: boyfriend and I want to get married. He does not want to inherit my debt, understandably so. I want to be better at managing my finances so I can be a good wife and an even better money manager.
/INCOME - $2700/month. Paid once a month. /
/Expenses- most to least expensive. I pay mortgage but not utilities (boyfriend takes care of that)/
-mortgage + escrow = $89,000 left on house. House appraised for $96,000 in 2022. Pay $900/month
-car payment = $17,600 left on loan. Pay $380/month (parent pays car insurance)
-personal debt consolidation loan = $10,000. Pay $270/month at 12% interest
-other expenses (gas, food, recreation, etc) = $300/month
/Explanations/ Housing = Bought a house at 20 years old. Old house, lots of repairs needed. Bit off way more than I can chew. Put >$7,000 worth of repairs into the house hoping on a profit when I do sell. Planning on selling in <1 year
Car = 2021 hybrid bought in 2020. Brand new off the lot. Initially worth $24,000, but I let a friend borrow for a job interview and he got into an accident that wasn’t handled properly. Damage repair is all left to me now (friend fled the state and went no contact with me after event). No money for lawyer to sue over $4500 worth of repairs. Broken bumper reduced value to $18,750. Planning on selling at a small profit or refinancing.
Consolidation loan = Initial $10,000 worth of credit card debt accrued by home repairs. I was never taught that credit cards are DEBT and always believed it was free money. I was never taught financial literacy as a kid and never had proper education as a teenager (poor high schooling). JUST got debt consolidation loan yesterday and have yet to make my first payment. Hopefully paid off by 2027.
Savings = No savings to speak of. I am TERRIBLE with my finances and all savings went to emergency medical expenses. Have yet to recoup that loss.
Income = I get paid once a month. I make sure all my bills are paid and debts are taken care of before I spend on gas/food/recreational things. Hopefully getting a new job soon where I get paid more often so I will not have to budget as strictly.
Edit- I also have roughly $4500 in a simple IRA account, if that’s worth any salt.

I may sound dumb for asking this but here goes …
We have an underground natural gas line that runs through the middle of our back yard. We’ve had plans drawn up and approved to put a concrete pad and stone fireplace in the yard. Because our yard is very narrow (we live in a dense subdivision) the fireplace would partially be located above where the gas line is. There will be about 2 feet of concrete between the gas line and firebox portion of the fireplace.
Our utility company came out and said we’re allowed to do this. We’ve also gotten all the permits we need from the city, so everything has been completely approved.
However, a few of the gas utility workers all acted like we were crazy for wanting a fireplace above the gas line, that it was a big safety issue. I kind of see their point, but if there’s two feet of concrete separating the two then I don’t really understand what the issue would be (or why they would approve it if it actually was a safety issue). People put fire pits and grills out in their yard near gas lines all the time. I know the easement with the line is a separate issue since they could make us dig it up in the future, but I’m asking about the safety of it. Our plumber that’s doing the gas line to the grill and fireplace also said he didn’t see a problem with it. Any thoughts?
