USA ESPORT has developed an Athlete Constitution and Operations Bylaws which allow all affiliated members various levels of voting control. This means, the non profit is partially controlled by esports athletes and esports practitioners i.e. non-athletes. Corporate affiliations are not allowed to participate as members. The new Board of Directors appoint several other industry board seats to create an inclusive nine seat board. One Board seat of importance is Chief of Athlete Services dedicated to athlete wellbeing.
The organization is now waiting to learn if GEF's Board will vote to include USA ESPORT as a Member. However, due to existing laws enacted by Congress, USA ESPORT cannot hold official recognition as a voting member at GEF. I am sure most everybody who is reading this already knows what this post is about. If not, please read this. TL;DR: Reddit is going to start charging exorbitant costs for use of its API, which was previously free, starting July 1st. This will price out every third party phone app used to access reddit, such as Apollo, RIF, and the one I use when I'm out and about, Boost. The intent of this is to funnel everyone to their official app, which sucks, serves a bunch of ads, and spies on you incessantly. Fuck that.
What I am personally worried about is the loss of Reddit Enhancement Suite for Old Reddit. I have also heard that the mod tools in New Reddit are terrible and inadequate. In short, everyone is going to have a worse experience on reddit because of greed. I know damn well that if I lose old reddit, I'm done with this platform. I know other subreddits are planning a blackout. I don't really see the point of joining, since we basically have nothing to black out.

Brothers of the forge, New to the army bit not the hobby. Wanted to know people's opinions on the contrast paints over the old school layer paints. Did three test models with the contrast paint with the mind set of thin coats, sadly it turned out really splotchy. Watched a few videos on how to use the new stuff, but I can help but want to do the old school way of painting. The ability to go back and do touch up work compared to being really careful now is nuts. Would love to hear your thoughts and experiences on this

For starters, I’m driving a 2013 328i with 100,000 miles. I bought a new battery in November, 2022.
Recently I went to unlock my car to find it would not unlock so I used the manual key to get in.
Nothing electrical worked: headlights, interior lights, door locks, windows, etc.
I called the mechanic who installed the battery and he responded that I’d ‘left something open or on.’ He told me to charge it up and leave it running for a bit once it was charged. All things are possible in this world, but I’m meticulous about shutting everything off and closing the doors completely.
I had a friend charge my battery with a trickle charger-it took 2 & a half days and started up. I then had no problems for a week.
Friday after work I ran an errand, returned to the car and once again, my locked car would not unlock!
I got in with the manual key and held the remote up against the steering column while attempting to start the car as instructed by the dash message. It took about 5 tries, but it finally started.
I don’t think it’s the alternator; there are no signs of problems there.
I’m flummoxed-anyone got advice?
Note: it went back on the trickle charger Friday evening and started this morning, Sunday.

Hi. I was diagnosed in December after 2.5 years of symptoms. I was having a lot of fainting episodes during that time but since I started medication it’s improved.
Yesterday I fainted for the first time in a few months and I start a new job tomorrow after being out of work a few years. My endo just decreased my methimazole down to 2.5 mg a day last week. I sent her a message and not really sure if that has anything to do it.
I’m worried about fainting my first week on the job now. I guess this is more of a vent or frustration. I’m learning this disease can just take so much. Thank you for listening and being such a great community!

I was previously using a random vpn off the chrome web store to watch bbc Iplayer (I live in France, and didn’t really care about the security side, I only used it for this out of convenience) Today I majorly messed up by opening iplayer before turning the vpn on, and ever since then the bbc are on to me and I can’t access iplayer anymore, no matter what I try.
My question is this, would a decent payed vpn be able to bypass them somehow knowing, or have I just lost it forever? I’m new to all this vpn stuff haha

 | I recently purchased a Silicon Power 256 GB solid state drive to use to run Linux Mint XFCE on my HP ProBook 4430s (manufactured ~2012, i5 processor, 2x 4GB RAM). I've reinstalled the OS several times using a brand new flash drive, but upon booting, am met with the error "Boot Device Not Found. Please install an operating system on your hard disk." However, when I plug in my flash drive to reinstall the OS, the live version recognizes that there is in fact a full copy of Linux Mint 21.1 on the SSD. To further deepen the confusion, using a USB to SATA adapter and another computer shows that Mint did in fact install to the SSD, it just can't boot for some reason. So I go over to the table and starting eating the chips and she comes back over with a container of scrambled eggs, a banana and a drink. I was like “I’m good thank you”. She was like “no no no take it, I won’t tell anyone you eat” I didn’t want the fucking food and her English isn’t the greatest so I just took it anyway.
Fast forward to today. I’m on the floor working and she comes up to me and is like “hey hey I made you some macaroni and cheese and put your name on it in the fridge make sure you eat it ok?” I was like “oh no that’s I’m fine”. I don’t want this lady’s damn food. She came up again to me later in my shift and asked If I had it yet and I said no. I just left it in the fridge and did my normal thing for lunch. I know she is going to come up to me on my next shift asking me to eat her food she made. How do I tell her I don’t want her food without her getting upset? This is all just weird to me I’ve never had a lady insisting I eat her food yet alone she said she’s gonna start making me meals?? Like wtf is going on.

Here's the context : I have a sync set up with my MEGA account, anything I drop in a folder gets synced on my local SMB. It's fine, works nicely, but I've had several times where the sync gets stuck, and I need to disable and enable it again.
I've set up a Cron to do that, and it works flawlessly, only problem is : I don't like it. I don't like having to wait several minutes before the Cron is started and my sync is reset.
I've scripted a little telegram reading script, and I can send it commands to reset, And / Or give me the status on the things I have downloading.
Recently, with Vanced not working anymore for me, I've started downloading my YouTube vids, so I can watch them on my tablet with mpv, and it's working well
Here's what I want : Is there anything that can consolidate all this into a nice little webui or an app ? Where I can manage my MEGA syncs, and my yt-dlp downloads ? Something that could notify me too ? My bash script is nice and all, but a Cron every minute to check if my bot has new messages written, and interpret them is "unsightly" I've heard about webhooks for telegram bots, but I don't have the time to dive in this.
If you know anything that might do the job, I'm all ears !

How can I redirect the file to launch python 3.10 or am I going to have to uninstall and reinstall Stable Diffusion and all the files relating to it?

He enjoyed them so much he would climb trees just to be closer to them. For many months the Ravens ignored the man, but after a while, one of the Ravens flew from a nearby tree and landed directly next to the man. In utter amazement, the bird spoke to the man and asked, "You have been watching us for a long time. You have tried to get close to us. Why do you do this?" The man replied, "I mean no harm. I have become enchanted with you and all your relatives. I enjoy the play, the squawking, and I wish I could learn your language so I could understand more about you." Then the Raven responded, "We are honored that you want to know us, as long as you do not cause harm, we will teach you our language." For many months the Ravens taught the man all about the language and how the Ravens lived from day to day. The man became so educated that he knew everything there was to know about the Ravens. Many of the Ravens saw the man and accepted him as a friend. One day, an older Raven was flying far over the man, dropped a walnut perfectly on the man's head. It was done on purpose and all the Ravens almost fell off their branches laughing so hard the way they do. One Raven was flying and was laughing so hard he had to crash land right in front of the man. The man was feeling bad and was hurt by being made fun of, so he asked the Raven in front of him, "Why are you all picking on me." The Raven stopped laughing and became very serious. "We thought you understood us, but apparently you don't. If you did you would know that we are not mocking you... well maybe a bit, but it is done in our way of having fun. We are 'playing' with you and that is all. It is not to be taken seriously. You should know us better." The man took sometime to understand this and over time a few more practical jokes were played on the man and he in turn pulled a few "good ones" on the birds. A good time was had by all and the man became even closer to the Ravens. Then another event occurred. A young Raven swooped out of the sky and pecked the man on the head. Then another young Raven swooped down and did the same thing. The man ran across the field and into the woods but the Ravens kept chasing him and very skillfully they flew at high speeds through the woods tormenting the man. Finally the two stopped and started to yell mean words, fighting words at the man. Again the man did not understand, but he knew the two Ravens were very mad at him, so he decided to leave and let the Ravens be. The man went away for many months. As he did his duties in the his tribal village, he told all the people about his adventures and what he learned about the Ravens. Some listened with intent, others just thought the man was a fool to study the Ravens so. The villagers gave the man a new name of "Black Feather" because of his close relationship to the birds, but the man objected and said, "I am no longer close to the Raven people." From above there was a squawking sound of a single Raven. Some of the people looked up and were surprised that they could understand the Raven, others just looked around because they could hear nothing but squawking. The Raven was speaking to the man and said, "It is true, you are closer to us than any Anishinabe (Human) has ever come. You are close, but you still don't understand us fully. I invite you to return to us, many miss you." Black Feather started to follow the Raven but then stopped at the edge of the village. He looked around to make sure no other Anishinabe could hear then asked the Raven, "why do you ask me back when the two Ravens where fighting with me and were mean." "The Raven landed at Black Feathers feet and said, "See how little you understand us. The two young Ravens did not fight with you because you are Anishinabe, it is because they accepted you as a member of the Raven people. You should know that we fight among ourselves too. It is a part of our way of life. Instead of sulking and leaving you should have fought back." Black Feather stood in silence and said, "There is much about Ravens I don't understand. Maybe we are too different people to ever understand each other. I should stop and return to my people in the village." The Raven again shook his head and told Black Feather, "That is your choice, but again I tell you that you have come closer to us Raven people than any other Anishinabe. Would you throw this all away just because you can't understand us yet?" Black Feather responded, "It's useless, how can I ever understand you, I can't even fly!" A thousand bursts of laughter was heard from all the surrounding trees and Black Feather knew that all the Raven People were there, hiding and listening. "Of course you can't fly. You are Anishinabe and we are Ravens. But we accept you as one of us. We play with you. We fight with you. We love you and want you back. We also recommend you don't try to fly in order to be like us, because then, you would not be Anishinabe nor a Raven but something else. We like you as an Anishinabe that understands us as Ravens. Join us or not the decision is yours." Black Feather returned to the Anishinabe village and bid everyone farewell because he had decided to live with the Raven people. After all the farewells and such he started to leave the village. All the Anishinabe people were there to see him off, and high over head was a thousand Raven's. Then from high above one of the older Ravens dropped a walnut shell and again with remarkable aim, plunked Black Feather right on the head. TLDR: Will bottom-mounted sliders be enough to hold up a wooden drawer?
I recently purchased 2 wooden bedside table off of FB Marketplace - overall in pretty good condition, except for one annoyance; when you pull open the drawers, they immediately tilt downward and then slide all of the way out.
The guides are wooden and a bit warped. I want a way to stop the tilting, so am thinking of replacing with metal sliders (I found this hack but it seemed quite temporary: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Znq5YoG33dw). However, the drawers sit flush in the table, so there is no room to add side sliders without some serious work.
Will bottom sliders be enough to hold the weight of the drawer so they don't tip forward? The drawers won't have heavy items in them, but are real wood so they aren't super light. Pictures included show the current wooden guides in the table and on the drawer. Right now they actually slide pretty good, so just looking for a solution to the tipping that doesn't require me to rip the drawers apart/redo.

Relatively new to mountain biking but I’m looking to upgrade to full suspension.
A local shop has a new Santa Cruz aluminum Tallboy model for $3400.
They also have a 2020 Tallboy they used for rentals. It’s a carbon frame for $3900.
Assuming the demo frame is still structurally sound (it seems to be), is it worth the extra $500?
Carbon frame sounds nice, and if the employee is correct, the carbon’s components are a step up from the aluminum version. But it’s got 2 years of use, so I’m not sure which makes more sense…
Thoughts on the better choice?
